I deleted my old, bad review. The team today provided me with first-class and quick service. The portion was finally right again. But the location isn't that great...

Unfortunately, I feel compelled to leave a 0-star review and that is entirely due to the two younger service staff. I'm really upset, which is why I'm writing this review. In the last few weeks I have been served five times by the younger woman and gentleman, and each time there were problems - either something was missing or something was done incorrectly. I have rarely experienced so much carelessness. I usually get a tacco salad with turkey and no tomatoes every week. After the first four incorrect orders, I actually wanted to leave it alone, but today I decided to try it again - and was disappointed again. Components like sauces are always missing or tomatoes are still added even though I explicitly point out that I don't want them. Today, for example, the lettuce was missing from my tacco salad - no joke. I really don't know what to say anymore except: Please hire capable staff. There is a lady in the team, around 30-40 years old, with whom everything always runs perfectly. She is friendly and has never made a mistake. Mishaps happen - that's normal. But every time?

Very nice Mexican. I've been going there for years. Try the Argentinian beef fillet, the Burrito Supreme or the nachos 👍💪

It seems more like a snack bar than a restaurant. When you come in, you're standing at a snack counter. There is a kitchen in the back area. Some seats with simple seating. Nice service, delicious food at fair prices.

The “Tassili” restaurant impresses with its authentic atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The dishes are freshly prepared, well seasoned and offer a harmonious combination of traditional flavors and modern influences. The Moroccan specialties, such as couscous and tagine, are particularly tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is attentive, friendly and helpful. The price-performance ratio is also good, as the portions are generous and of high quality. Overall, “Tassili” is a great restaurant that I can definitely recommend – a real insider tip for lovers of North African cuisine!

I was recently at Tassili in Herborn and I'm still completely thrilled! As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel as if you have been immersed in a warm Mexican oasis - the atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. The food was simply fantastic! The flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, every dish was a little highlight. I was particularly impressed by how lovingly everything was prepared. The service was incredibly warm and attentive - you felt like you were staying with good friends. A nice detail is that dogs are also welcome, which shows that everyone is really welcome here. Tassili has captured my heart and I am already looking forward to my next visit to be enchanted by this culinary magic again!

Again, when ordering half of the same dishes, I forgot the sauce. Happens all the time. Otherwise the food is good. It's slowly getting too crazy to open and check the order every time

Great ambience simply wonderful.

I've never eaten so badly. I really felt sorry for the young woman who served us. Everything we wanted to eat wasn't there. E.g. Argentinian BEEF STEAK not there. 🍎 Plaice not there. Pork steak not there. Etc..

Local food is not the main thing here. But a minor matter. We would have to wait a long time for the food, no apple spritzer, no non-carbonated water, no Pils,... we also found it quite expensive, considering that the food was nothing special.

Very tasty food, gladly again. My only problem with the Tassili is that I didn't really like the furnishings, it is being renovated but the chairs were still a bit uncomfortable after sitting for a long time. But I really liked everything else.

The prices on the menu are no longer current. You should expect 2-4€ more per dish. The burrito was filled almost entirely with meat and tasted just okay. The tortillas are not recommended. Simple tortillas from the bag topped with sprinkled cheese and then way too expensive. Service was very nice. I can't say anything about the ambience since I ordered to be picked up.

We wanted to eat Mexican food for the first time, which was unfortunately a disappointment. When I came in to order food it was very crowded, which initially meant to me that the food had to be good. After 2 minutes I was able to order my food, which unfortunately wasn't passed on quite correctly (which can happen given the quantity and the volume). Then the show started...the lady worked really quickly with heart and passion but unfortunately she was overwhelmed, which I can still understand somewhere when the German gentleman who was at the front (probably the boss) said to please do something new Now I'll do something else. The whole thing took 8 customers and about 45 minutes of standing around until our food was served. Then the real disappointment began: everything from the microwave, including the rice, which is an absurdity for me, it's clear that it can be made quicker, but for me it's a clear negative point about using something like that. Of course, there are things that you buy ready-made, but please don't buy ready-made rice ? Last but not least, the woman serving behind the counter was praised for her quick work, whereupon she said it had been 10 years of practice, whereupon the German gentleman boasted about 30 years of experience without having learned anything or a warming up grill comes because then it's more of a moment for me as a customer to question what he's taught himself in 30 years other than treating his employees like tools, constantly saying stupid things and even the young employee being so stupid in the kitchen on power because of the wrong knife for cutting tomatoes, which you can hear from the front of the entrance. Conclusion: Despite the reasonable price, I won't go there again for the time being. Unfortunately, the combination of microwave and grill was a bit too much.

It has been a snack bar in the better category for many decades. But the only Mexican in the area.

Well, now I have to give a negative review of the Tassili. I've been eating here or picking it up since the Tassili opened and always like it because I like the food. Today I ordered a large turkey salad. To my surprise, it came on a flat plate and was noticeably smaller than my salad last week (in a deep plate). I wasn't even remotely full. When the really nice waitress asked me if everything was ok, I told her that I wasn't happy because the salad was far too small. She then passed it on. Now comes the real reason for my complaint. Then the boss (that's what he called himself, it wasn't Dieter Lehr) loudly and repeatedly made fun of my complaint. When I came to pay, he didn't say anything else... Such behavior is very unprofessional and embarrassing. A pity

Als Imbiss um Essen zu holen OK. Dort essen würde ich nicht mehr, da man ewig auf die Bedienung wartet. Das Essen schmeckt aber sehr gut

Generell gutes Essen und sympathisches Personal, aber in beiden Beziehungen gibt es Ausnahmen...

Das Essen ist soweit ganz gut und lecker, aber die Location ist wirklich sehr runter gekommen und auch sehr schmuddelig, was ich sehr schade finde. Wenn man da mal nach so vielen wieder etwas rein investieren würde, würden bestimmt mehr Leute kommen und der Umsatz steigen. Schade ist auch, dass die Räumlichkeiten so seltsam verbaut wurden mit Trennwänden. Wenn man auf die Toilette muss, sollte man dies sich auch lieber verkneifen. 😬 Ist schon auch sehr schmuddelig und manchmal klebt sogar der Boden. Ansonsten gehe ich aber trotzdem gerne mal dort Essen. Es sind gute Portionen für gutes Geld und schmeckt auch!

Essen war nicht alles da das was da war hat geschmeckt

Schade, kein Mexikanisches essen nur tex mex. Die Bedienung hat erst unsere Getränke vergessen und dann pommes anstatt dem bestellten Reis gebracht. Der Reis war in der Mikrowelle warm gemacht ( aussen heiss innen Eis kalt ) Echt schade ...ich war extrem enttäuscht. Da essen wir nicht wieder.

Essen lecker, Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Restaurant ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen.

Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Die Gasträume könnten mal etwas renoviert werden und die Möbel haben auch bessere Zeiten erlebt. Trotzdem würde ich wieder dort essen.

Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und sehr schnell fertig zum Abholen und vor Ort essen! Gerade im Vergleich zu den anderen Restaurants in Herborn. Wirkt etwas wie ein Schnellrestaurant. Passt aber.

Wir waren in der Nähe unterwegs und wollten mal was anderes essen. Das Essen hat uns zu extrem entweder nach Schmand oder nach Salsa geschmeckt, die Würze hat auch irgendwie gefehlt. Für Änderungen einer Zutat war auch nicht die Bereitschaft da. Abgesehen davon haben die Preise wohl auch nicht gestimmt, da wir mehr gezahlt haben. Da hilft vielleicht eine neue Preisliste. Qualität ist was anderes..

Ist zwar etwas kleiner geworden, aber dadurch hat man "mehr" Platz für sich. Nicht mehr so eine Bahnhofsatmosphäre. Die Nachos, Buritos und Co sind immer noch sehr lecker wie eh und je. Leider gab es einige Dinge wie manche Getränke nicht und die freundliche Bedienung wusste auch nicht warum. Trotzdem war es gut.

Wir mögen das Essen im Tassili. Aber wenn sowohl in Google, als auch an der Tür steht, dass Sonntags ab 12Uhr auf ist, sollte man auch wirklich öffnen. Also: keine Essensbewertung da keine Chance etwas zu bekommen.

Sehr leckerer Taco Salat und gute burritos. Mehr habe ich dort noch nicht probiert allerdings habe ich gehört dass die Rumpsteaks sehr gut sein sollen.

Gutes Essen und nette Bedienung

Unsere Gäste waren äußerst begeistert vom Essen, sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Auch für Personen, die an Glutenunverträglichkeit leiden, war etwas dabei! Das war bestens.

Viel Auswahl auf der Karte. Essen ist in Ordnung nicht der Burner aber gut. Könnte mal wieder auf Vordermann gebracht werden der Laden. Im ganzen ist es OK

Mein Käseenchilada war kalt, die Pommes lauwarm, auf die Getränke haben wir lang gewartet, die Margarita bestand eigentlich nur aus 30 kleinen Eiswürfeln mit Tequila, der dürftige Salzrand lief am Glas herab, das Salatdressing war so gut wie geschmacklos, vom "Ambiente" fang ich gar nicht erst an. Ah, und Mozzarellasticks waren aus. Das war nix.

Ich kenne das Restaurant seit vielen Jahren. Normalerweise bestelle ich mir einen Taco oder Chili. Die Bedienung wies dieses Mal jedoch auf das Tagesgericht Schweinshaxe hin und da wurde ich neugierig. Mir wurden dann zwei absolut winzige Haxen serviert, die völlig trocken und verbrannt waren. Nur ein Bruchteil war essbar, sehr viel war zu fest und nicht genießbar. Der Beilagensalat und die Kartoffelwedges waren hinreichend gut. Schuster bleib bei Deinen Leisten, das Tagesgericht hätte man sich sparen können. Zudem machte das Restaurant durch die momentanen Baumaßnahmen einen sehr ungemütlichen Eindruck.

Essen war wirklich lecker und frisch, Bedienung auch nett, aber man sitzt dort nicht so schön. Lieber essen bestellen und mitnehmen
