Tapado in Oer-Erkenschwick

Das Essen kommt sehr schnell hintereinander, ohne Pause, um die wir gebeten hatten. Es kam uns wie Abfertigung vor! Das 3. mal da, immer wie beschrieben! Wir kommen nicht wieder!

Essen mit Freunden, war sehr schön und lecker dort

Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut und da gibt es absolut nichts zu meckern. Leider war der Rest des Besuchs eine Enttäuschung. Der Außenbereich wirkte ungepflegt – überall Unkraut zwischen den Bodenfugen und die Gartenstühle ohne Sitzauflagen machten keinen einladenden Eindruck. Das größte Problem war jedoch der Service. Wir waren ungefähr drei Stunden im Restaurant und wurden in dieser Zeit kaum beachtet. Trotz mehrfach leerer Gläser wurde nicht ein einziges Mal gefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten. Einen Nachtisch hätten wir ebenfalls gerne bestellt, aber es kam einfach niemand mehr zu unserem Tisch. Schade, denn gutes Essen allein reicht leider nicht aus, wenn Service und Ambiente so mangelhaft sind.

Tolles Ambiente, auch wenn das Restaurant voll ist, ist es durch die schönen Glasabtrennungen zu laut. Optisch sehr angenehme Einrichtung, sehr freundliches und sehr gut organisiertes, zugewandtes Personal, und es war wieder Wunderlecker 🥰. Gute Portionsgrößen, von denen ich immer ein bisschen mit nach Hause nehmen muss worüber sich der Teenager sehr freut :)

Wir hatten im Tapado Restaurant in Oer-Erkenschwick ein rundum genussvolles Erlebnis. Das Essen war super lecker und frisch zubereitet. Der Service war aufmerksam und professionell – man hatte immer ein Auge auf den Gast, und es gab keine langen Wartezeiten. Die Tapas, sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptgerichte, wurden in perfekter Reihenfolge und zeitlich exzellent an den Tisch gebracht, sodass der Abend harmonisch und entspannt ablief. Das Ambiente ist schön und gepflegt, ein wenig mehr familiäre Wärme und Gemütlichkeit würde den Aufenthalt noch runder machen. Es war ein sehr gelungenes Familienessen – wir kommen wieder und betrachten das Tapado als unser Lieblingsrestaurant im Umkreis.

Wir sind immer sehr gerne dort. Gerne auch im Sommer auf der Terasse. 3-4 Tapas reichen pro Person vollkommen aus!

Wir waren bereits öfters dort essen… Das Essen ist wirklich super lecker und der Service ist sehr freundlich! Das Restaurant ist auch sehr schön eingerichtet! Alles in Allem kann ich es nur sehr empfehlen! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne!:)

Als eigentliche Stammgäste waren wir beim gestrigen Besuch leider etwas enttäuscht. Nach dem Bezahlen wollten wir den Bon noch einmal einsehen, da uns der Preis etwas zu hoch vorkam. Dabei fiel auf, dass eine Portion Aioli zu viel berechnet wurde (5,90 €) – wir haben es jedoch nicht weiter angesprochen, da wir die Portionen letztlich zweimal (auch wenn nicht bestellt) bekommen haben. Als wir dann freundlich sagten, dass alles passt und gehen wollten, wurden die Augen verdreht und ein Kommentar wie „Wir haben die Preise nicht erhöht“ gemacht. Fehler können passieren, aber die Art der Reaktion empfanden wir als unangemessen. Wir hätten uns da etwas mehr Professionalität gewünscht.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Tapado. Die Auswahl der Tapas ist gut, die Gerichte kamen sehr zügig. Geschmacklich alles auf hohem Niveau - sehr überzeugend. Sehr leckere Calamari und Schweineröllchen. An Aioli wird nicht gegeizt, auch sehr lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren gestern zu viert in dem Restaurant, für mich war es das erste Mal. Ich muss sagen meine Erwartungen sind um ein vielfaches übertroffen worden. Das Angebot der Speisen war sehr gut. Alles kam heiß und gut gewürzt an den Tisch. Auch konnte man das Tempo bestimmen in welchem Abstand die Speisen serviert wurden. Das Servicepersonal ist überaus freundlich und geht auch auf Sonderwünsche ein. Wir haben sehr schöne 2,5 Stunden dort verbracht. Ich würde gerne schon meinen 2.Besuch dort planen. Update, gestern am 08.11. haben wir zum 2. Mal dort gegessen und es war wie beim 1. Besuch wieder hervorragend. Von den zubereiteten Speisen und dem Service waren wir wieder sehr begeistert. Das Restaurant wird von uns jetzt wohl regelmäßig besucht, freuen uns schon drauf. Am 03.01.26 waren wir zu zweit zum 3. Mal wieder dort. Es hat sich zu den ersten 2 mal nichts geändert und wir waren wieder äußerst zufrieden mit dem dem Angebot an Speisen. Insbesondere der Service ist nochmal hervorzuheben, egal um wen es sich handelt. Alle sind freundlich und bemüht einen zufrieden zu stellen. Gestern am 11.04.26 waren wir wieder einmal mit einem anderen Pärchen hier essen, es war wie immer wunderbar und die beiden Neulinge so begeistert das Sie uns sagten Sie würden jederzeit wieder hier hingehen. Das ist für mich der Beweis für kontinuierlich gute Küche und Servicepersonal. Das Lokal gehört nun schon länger zu meinem festen Stamm an Restaurants die ich regelmäßig besuche, kann man wirklich mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank dafür

Absolut fantastisches Essen! Die Sitzbänke drinnen sind etwas unbequem, aber das Essen ist himmlisch. Sowohl die Tapas als auch die Einzelgerichte werden schnell serviert und schmecken fantastisch.

Angefangen vom Service bishin zu den ausgewählten Speisen und dem Wein war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Die Servicekräfte waren höflich und sehr freundlich. Die Speisen waren schmackhaft und gut angerichtet.

Lecker aber teuer. Servicequalität sehr unterschiedlich. Das Restaurant verfügt nur über acht eigene Parkplätze, diese sind in der Regel voll.

Ich fand die Tapas teilweise sehr schmackhaft, teilweise hätte ich sie mir besser gewürzt und den Fisch saftig gewünscht. Insgesamt fand ich es etwas zu voll und mäßig gemütlich. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Karte vielfältig. Wenn mal etwas nicht so ist wie es sein sollte, wird es von Personal sehr freundlich und anstandslos ausgetauscht. Das Ambiente ist angenehm, da die meisten Tische in einer geschlossenen Sitzgruppe für sich stehen.

Wir hatten einen richtig schönen Abend im Tapado. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die junge blonde Kellnerin. Sie war unglaublich aufmerksam, herzlich und einfach total lieb. Ich habe in der Vergangenheit bereits immer mal wieder im Tapado gegessen. Zu meinem Geburtstag habe ich mich entschieden, dort mit einer Gruppe von 15 Personen den Abend zu verbringen. Fazit: -> service super -> kurze Wartezeiten -> aufmerksame Kellner -> super umsichtig Es war super, danke!!!!

Wir waren am 13.12.25 dort und es war top! Essen, Service, Ambiente-alles toll! Leider gibt es sehr wenig Parkmöglichkeiten, so dass man ein teures Knöllchen bekommt (es war Samstag Abend und im Umfeld nichts mehr los!), wenn man als Frau alleine im Dunkeln nicht noch sehr weite Wege bis zum Auto zurücklegen möchte. Dies ist wohl einem Mitarbeiter des Ordnungsamtes zu verdanken, der da 24/7 auf der Lauer liegt. Die beiden anderen Mädels, mit denen ich essen war, haben auch ein Knöllchen bekommen, weil unter anderem das Rad des PKW etwas über den Bürgersteig hing. Sorry aber das ist wirklich zum Abgewöhnen!

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, das Einzige war die Reihenfolge der gereichten Tappas. Ich hätte sehr gerne zuerst die Kartoffeln gehabt anstatt Fisch, Fleisch und Gemüse.

In der Vorweihnachtszeit habe ich einen Tisch für vier Personen reserviert. Wir haben an dem Abend über eine halbe Stunde auf eine Bedienung gewartet, das wir zuerst die Getränke bestellen konnten. Es war sehr voll. Von daher habe ich nur vier Sterne an den Service gegeben. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wie immer. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Abend gewesen.

Man wird sehr gut beraten wenn es Fragen zur Speisekarte gibt.

We're constantly on the lookout for good food. In Germany, Fuerteventura, the Seychelles, Mauritius, and other places! These were by far the best tapas I've ever eaten!

The prices simply do not match the quality or the overall dining experience offered. ​Furthermore, when giving feedback, the owner reacted poorly and was uncooperative/incomprehensible to criticism. ​Conclusion: One time and never again

This was my third visit to Tapado. It was once again a truly lovely and delicious Spanish evening. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was delicious. I'll gladly come again.

The food was almost perfect, the service a little overwhelmed but always nice and friendly.

My husband and I visited Tapado for our anniversary, and we were both sorely disappointed. We arrived early and were seated in a part of the restaurant by ourselves, which wasn’t a problem, except that the wait staff wasn’t hugely present. We ordered numerous small dishes to share - some better than others, but largely we found them to be bland and uninspiring. The only dish that really stood out to us was the potato wedges with aioli. We really wanted the salad pictured on page 6 of the menu, only to be told that it’s a stock image and they don’t in fact sell that salad or even one that is similar. The fish dishes we shared were fine, but the meat dishes were all dry and overcooked - especially the Schweinefilletspieße, which at 15€ is disgraceful. Then, dessert… sigh. Here, I have to wonder whether Tapado’s chef has ever tasted (or even seen) a San Sebastián cheesecake? The hot, curdled and gloopy mess that was served to me was an absolute abomination! I’ve had better desserts on airlines and in hospitals. And the fact that it was sent back to the kitchen and we were still charged for it blows my mind! I’m not sure if we were there on a bad day or if my standards are too high, but Tapado left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I can’t recommend it at all.

Here, the chef conjures up a taste of Spain on your plate... I've rarely had such good tapas, the paella is superb, everything is very fresh and cooked to perfection, a true taste sensation, all homemade, the best aioli... The service is quick, attentive, and friendly, the restaurant is cozy and clean, I'll be back! ❣️

I've already been there twice with work for lunch because our bosses love it so much. And I can only say: I'm absolutely thrilled too! The ambiance is lovely, clean, and well-maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere. The selection of drinks and food is excellent; there's something for everyone. The food was delicious, served hot and fresh. Overall, the order was processed quickly, and many items arrived at the table at the same time. Of course, there are always a couple of things I don't like, but that's not the restaurant's fault. It's simply a matter of taste. I find some things quite pricey, but that's probably normal. I enjoy sharing the different tapas, so you can sample a wide variety of dishes. I thought it was great, and we'll definitely be back!

We're not from this area, but we were at a market nearby and got hungry in the evening. After searching for a while, we thankfully stumbled upon this tapas restaurant. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back. I've NEVER received my food so quickly after ordering. Everything was incredibly delicious. Of course, it wasn't the cheapest, but anyone who's ever eaten tapas understands that you have to pay a bit more for such a wide selection and variety of dishes. Instead of just ordering a main course with a side dish, you get to sample a whole range of things. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!

Just lost 5 stars because the cheesecake was horrendous. First time I’ve ever come across a San Sebastián cheesecake which is served warm. Tapas were amazing!

The aioli was a bit salty, the salmon was overcooked, and some of the dishes were too oily, but still a good 3 stars. The service was excellent and the ambiance was very pleasant, but unfortunately, it lacked the taverna atmosphere.

We were completely satisfied! 🫶 The food was simply amazing, super delicious. We also loved the ambiance. The staff was very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Absolutely deserved five stars. We'll be back 😁 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Four of us went there for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. The food was really good quality; the meat was superbly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The vegetables were also very tasty and all of them were truly delicious. We ordered the tapas menu for two and additional tapas. The service was super attentive, very fast, and incredibly polite. Great staff! The ambiance is clean, tidy, and cozy. You feel comfortable and welcome as a guest. The four of us had a great conversation, even though the restaurant was almost packed. We will definitely be coming back more often now. You've gained a fan!

Incredibly delicious. There's something for everyone. You don't even know what to order. Everyone will be satisfied. The staff is very friendly. The decor is very nice and harmonious. The prices are quite expensive, but you're happy to pay for them.

I can only agree and have to say that I'm glad about its proximity to Recklinghausen... which means regular visits in the future for me. When it comes to food, there should be something for everyone. (When we asked the waiter about some dishes, it turned out that for some dishes, especially paella, you can specify how you'd like them prepared. This refers to the choice of meat, fish, or vegetarian.) We can definitely recommend the bread with allioli, chorizo, bacon-wrapped dates, Pimiemtod de Padrón, and the chicken with garlic and rosemary. But save room for the Catalana at the end. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

I'd only heard good things about it and finally went there. We only had vegetarian tapas. First of all: aioli. Wow! The Manchego sticks with fig were a dream.

Delicious tapas, friendly service, and even a beer garden invite you to linger. The menu offers the usual tapas (and more) and, among other things, a homemade sangria. We love coming here. However, a table reservation is recommended.

Superb tapas. The best we've had so far. Even better than in Spain.

It was very nice, clean and above all I was very surprised that there were so many people there and yet it was very quiet.

First time eating Spanish food. The food was okay, I'll get into that later about dessert. I had three small salmon fillets, grilled feta cheese, and diced potatoes with aioli. You couldn't order aioli as it was; you had to order a dish with aioli. The ordering system is very confusing. The staff is okay. The service is quick; I had just finished my meal and my plate was cleared away. The dessert could have been improved. I ordered two scoops of ice cream, but they only gave me one small one. 3 stars

There were four of us. Everyone loved the food. It was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was okay but nothing special; I've had much better tapas. A bit lackluster. The dessert was convenience food, which is fine and usually tasty, but the ice cream had crystals forming, and it was awful at that. I found it too expensive for what was on offer. The place is modern, well-maintained, and clean, but lacks a Spanish feel. The service was very friendly, sometimes a bit confused, but we're all human. It's okay for a drink, but I wouldn't eat here again and I don't understand the hype.

We ate there for the first time today. Everything is very clean and tidy, and the outdoor seating is nice too. The food is rather disappointing, however; relatively simple cuisine at quite high prices. If you ask for another baguette for the aioli, you're immediately charged another €2. Sorry, but five more slices of baguette should be fine, considering I've spent €100 eating and drinking there. The quantities for the tapas offer for two people for €32.90 were also quite manageable, and the beef skewer, with only two pieces, was only half edible because the second piece was completely tough. A real shame; we won't be coming back again.

As always, super delicious. We've been there several times now, and the quality has always been consistently good.

We had a reservation for two people and, due to the early hour, were able to choose a table outside. The service was very friendly and competent. Our selected tapas arrived quickly, and the table was just large enough to accommodate them all. We had aioli with bread twice and were glad that we were advised against ordering another portion of bread. All tapas (aioli with bread, mixed olives, marinated anchovies, fried anchovies (2x), potato wedges, potato cubes, tuna pastry rolls, meatballs) tasted good and the respective sauces or aioli harmonized excellently. A surprise were the meatballs in tomato sauce: very tasty and the sauce also went well with the various potato tapas (potato cubes and potato tapas), which, however, came once with aioli and once with salsa - there's nothing wrong with combining the tapas 😉. For dessert, there were two Crema Catalan and a Café Crema in between. Two quarts of dry white wine and a large bottle of still water quenched our thirst. We went for 105.60 and found that reasonable. The adjacent parking lot and the main road can be annoying, but we'll put up with that in the future. By the way: Whoever saw the church clock and the If the bells stopped ringing, you might have consumed too much Spanish brandy 🤯 Postscript: From 6:30 p.m., the outside started to fill up. We were there at 5 p.m., and it was very quiet. There are a few booths inside, but if you sit in the main hall, it can get noisy. So, I recommend making a reservation 👋

Dear reader, please pay particular attention to the "nice" response from the owner... I think that says it all ;) Addendum June 2025: After we were only semi-impressed the first time, we decided to give the restaurant a second chance. This turned out to be a big mistake. After we ordered an appetizer, our menus were taken away from us because they might get dirty. It's all well and good that such precautions are taken here, but we were a bit perplexed and confused as to how we were supposed to order the main course. The situation was somewhat bizarre. We love going out to eat with our family and often, but we've never experienced anything like this in all these years. It was ridiculous; we felt like little children. There was no sign of good service. The situation could perhaps have been handled better, but this is simply unacceptable for a service provider. A little tip for the restaurant: Just laminate your menus; they'll last a long time, even if you spill a little mess. We will definitely never set foot in this restaurant again. I'll leave the old review up, though: I really liked the variety of dishes; the aioli was particularly tasty. The fresh baguette and potato wedges were delicious. The mushrooms were a bit too chewy for my liking, and the potato cubes were a bit bland. The bruschetta, on the other hand, was fantastic. The chicken skewers, the steak, the anchovies, and the scampi were also spot on. Unfortunately, the salad didn't taste like much. I like that you can write down the order numbers in advance; it makes ordering easier. It was quite busy that day, so the waiters were unfortunately quite busy, hence the one-star deduction. Otherwise, the food is highly recommended, with a few reservations. It could definitely be better!

We liked it a lot; the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The ambient sound was also very pleasant. It was quite busy, but we still had a good conversation. However, the prices here are significantly higher than in other tapas restaurants I've been to.

Super delicious tapas and a fantastic dessert. In my opinion, Tapado is by far the best tapas restaurant around. The prices were reasonable and the service was very attentive. That's how I imagine a wonderful evening.

There were two of us there and we had the tapas menu. Everything was very tasty and the warm things were served hot. One of the best restaurants in OE! The staff is very friendly & attentive.

The four of us went to Tapado for paella today. Two large pans were brought to the table. The paella was beautifully prepared and tasted great! There is nothing wrong with the service and ambience. We were completely satisfied!
