Refueling is fine, everything is normal. If, of course, you want to use the shower for 4.50 euros. , then comes the problem. Truck drivers wait a long time to get to the shower. I waited over 1 hour. There are 4 showers at the pump, but the staff only opens one shower so that they don't have to clean the showers. Then the drivers who are waiting for the key will pile up at the cash desk. After 15 minutes, 4 other drivers were already waiting at the cash desk, yet only one shower was open. Truck drivers are also people, and they deserve a human approach.☹️

Unfortunately it was already closed late in the afternoon on November 3rd, 2024, even though it says 24/7 on the internet. How can that be?

Everything was closed on a Sunday lunchtime, with no sign as to why.

I don't recommend it at all, you can't pay for the toilet with a card because there's a constant failure, you can't use the shower because I wanted to pay with a card, I don't recommend it.

Going to the toilet costs €1. But you also get a voucher for one euro, which is twice as much as at the train station. Unfortunately, some of the toilets were dirty, so it wasn't until I tried four that I found a halfway clean one. Interestingly, despite the truck stop, the gas station is relatively cheap, in contrast to the others on the A9.

Closed Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., no indication why, why, 24/7 opening times are stated on the Tank & Rast homepage, a little information would be enough

Burger King closed and while we were eating we were rudely told that the hot kitchen was closed...sad

You can lose your appetite at this rest stop. On October 20, 2024, the restaurant was closed later in the afternoon. We were lucky enough to get a freshly tapped coffee from the machine from a completely overwhelmed lady. At least the cashier was polite. Customers who came after us were less fortunate and were rudely turned away. Unfortunately it wasn't obvious from the outside that the restaurant was closed. Otherwise other customers wouldn't have bothered to go there. We definitely won't go to this location again. Actually half a star would be too much.

Never this rest stop again! Yawning emptiness in the catering area, even though the parking spaces are well attended. Why? The prices are “out of this world”, even if you redeem the Sanifair voucher (€1 for the toilet!). The friendly loudspeaker voice can warble that you should treat yourself to something in return for the voucher. I used it a few km away at a gas station where I didn't feel quite so ripped off... I think a catering area with the current concept is unnecessary here, a toilet parking lot is enough.

Hard to beat when it comes to unfriendly. Burger King wasn't open at all and the shop was closed at short notice today at 3:30 p.m. We were turned away at the door by the complaining male employee in his Sanifair shirt. Without any indication that you can also go to the toilet at the gas station. A sign on the door that it is closed would also have been very helpful.

On a Saturday everything was closed except for the café. The employees are always just unfriendly. No matter when you are here.

They write open 24/7. That's a lie. Several visitors stood in front of a closed door. And on weekends from 2:30 p.m. No indication why or for how long. Very bad for business. It's best to spread the word. Don't stop here anymore. This has nothing to do with relaxation and rest areas. 😢☹️

Arrival 4:30 p.m.: Town hall already closed and unfortunately this is no exception here. If possible you should avoid this rest stop.

I'm just arriving here and looking forward to a Whopper menu. It's Friday, 6:30 p.m. and the start of the holidays. However, the rest stop is closed. They must be doing really well if they can close so early! With the prices bordering on extortionate, it's no wonder. Nobody cares what happens to the travelers and the many truck drivers. However, if you have a monopoly you can afford it! It's a shame that I can't give minus stars.

Every day I wake up and stare at the ceiling, my thoughts filled with Köckern West. How much I miss this place is indescribable... this red lettering on a white plate appears to me in my dreams like the light at the end of the tunnel, my savior in times of need. This place has such enormous emotional value for all of Germany, people from the East wouldn't understand that...

It has happened to me several times now: the last time was on Sunday October 6th from 4 p.m. no entry for everyone. A NO GO for a motorway service station!!!! The toilets could not be used and coach passengers were refused. And the suggestion that the food was gone seems like an excuse, because there were enough shop items to buy. The lack of staff is certainly a problem, and the employees certainly wanted to get off work. Management there is work for you here!!

In the middle of a Sunday afternoon you, like about 60 others, stand in front of a closed door. Incomprehensible and really an absolute joke.

We went there to have coffee but unfortunately it was closed The light was on but no one was there and no sign either Too bad

What bad service: the rest stop along with Sanifair, Burgerking and coffee house closed at 6 p.m. on Saturday. No customer information at the entrance.

The service area building was locked despite the lights and many people stood in front of its locked doors. Many people turned around?! and drove against the direction of travel in the parking lot back to the associated gas station

We came from the Marathon Berlin on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and nothing was open. Totally disappointing!

Saturday at 5:30 p.m. the doors were locked, even though employees were still there, the lights were on and there was still food on display. Doors to go to the toilet were still not opened. Bullshit

Incomprehensible! Supposed to be open 24 hours but closed at 8am. Employees can be seen, the light is on, the door is locked, including access to the toilet. Never again Köckern West!

We were there on September 20th. There around 3:15 p.m. The disabled toilet appears to be used by everyone. To make this possible, an employee stood there who prevented the intended locking. I am severely disabled and need quick access. If entire busloads then use these toilets, this is no longer guaranteed. Apart from that, the cleanliness in these toilets suffers. In addition, disabled people paid for the use of these toilets by purchasing the keys. Burger King was also closed. Well, let's go.

Unfriendly employees who make their customers feel like they don't enjoy their work. You are dealt with in a commanding tone; customers are annoying supplicants here and not king. If possible, avoid this rest stop.

Ordered a sandwich which the grumpy rude man grabbed with both hands right after taking cash from the former customer. When the egg fell out he just grabbed it and pushed it back. Not just disgusting, but an outright health hazard! Then HE got upset when I said!

We were happy with the gas station, the rest stop was a big letdown!!! Children were hungry for a burger, we headed for the rest stop and unfortunately we couldn't tell from outside that Burger King was closed and neither was the bistro. So we went in there full of anticipation and then the big disappointment 😢😢. Apart from an overpriced ice cream and a few small pastries there was nothing. Unfortunately there were no hot meals. Supposedly technical. Defect? Two very hard-working ladies at the coffee machine. The small coffee €5.50. Tour buses will probably only stop there for the toilet.

Sunday lunch at Burger King, despite the large open kitchen, there was nothing warm to eat other than Bockwurst and, as many others have already described, 0815 sandwiches. Then I have the “Stulle” Took it, it didn't taste good at all. If you can't manage such a large rest area, you should leave it alone and perhaps think about a new partner/tenant.

Burger 🍔 King was closed and the prices for cakes 🎂 and sandwiches at the counters next to it were completely exorbitant. A piece of cake for €4.90 and a sandwich for €8.90!!¡!

We just ordered a double espresso and, after complaining, received warm water the second time. You definitely can't get espresso at Coffee Fellows in Köckern West...

Really big bullshit. Almost everything closes before 5 p.m. on Saturday. You don't get anything warm to eat. No card payment possible. The waitress makes a face that I can't even put into words.

I ate there at the Burguer King thanks to a worker who spoke Spanish, I had no problems.

What do I want to evaluate? The access door was locked even though all the lights inside were on and that was in the late afternoon/early evening. Unfortunately, zero stars are not possible.

That can't be the case if you're standing in front of a locked door at 6 p.m. Employees sit indoors and drink coffee and chat. If you want to eat something and even leave money there.

Instead of being open 24 hours as stated, it only opens from 8 a.m. We were the first guests. Everything was dirty, the floor and the tables. Offer not available as advertised. Employees touch the sausage and cheese with their bare hands.

The rest stop is not open around the clock as stated on the internet but closes at 4:30 p.m. (even on weekends). A rest stop that closes so early is a mystery to me. In addition, the employees no longer let you in after 4 p.m. Instead of politely pointing out that the rest stop is closing soon and therefore the doors will be closed, you get stupid comments and the door is blocked in your face without any information. Absolutely unfriendly employees.

One of the worst rest areas. Sanifair toilet cannot be paid for by card. Otherwise I only had a €100 note that couldn't be changed. I was directed to the Burger King restroom. I tried there but they weren't open at 7:52 a.m. So the rest turned out to be a failure. I would have preferred to give the gas back and drive to the next rest stop, since I had to go out again anyway. In the future I will avoid Köckern. If you don't move with the times, you move with the times...

Anyone who stops here on their travels and wants to grab something to eat at “Burger King” will be seriously disappointed. The branch is or was closed. (As of August 2024). So you have to make do with the much more expensive restaurant right next door in the same building or move on. When we travel, we and the children generally like to resort to “fast food”. You usually know what you are getting for your money.

Give a wide berth! After a long journey, we want to eat something, and in the middle of the day the entire restaurant is closed due to a "technical problem". Catastrophe.

Stopped briefly for a break at 6:16am. Everything is brightly lit like in a lamp shop and yet closed, no sign of “around the clock”. Next time we'll move on straight away. I feel sorry for the poor truck drivers who don't even get a coffee here in the morning :(

A large rest area with free toilets, but they smell a bit like urine. After all, there are toilets and the smell is the fault of the people who use them and can't urinate INTO the toilet. Sometimes I wonder what it's like at home with people like that! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, we were hungry and would have stayed to eat. Another time. Otherwise a rest area with greenery and benches in between and also table-bench combinations!

It is too noisy and there are too many Romanians

The lady at the coffee is rudeness personified, as is the gentleman at the checkout. Two coffees and a roll for 15 euros and then such service. Thank you, never again.

Terrible service at the gas station. The machines accept money but do not provide the service. After contacting the cashier there was no resolution to the issue and no refund was given.
