Immediately after the motorway exit, there's a large sign directing anyone wanting to take advantage of the rest area's catering options to the left (see photo). In fact, you actually have to drive all the way to the right (still on the right, past the gas station) to get there. I always fall for this sign with its false information. And from what I've observed, other car drivers regularly fall for this trap as well. Since I don't want to take up one of the rare truck parking spaces with my car, I've always driven on and then headed for the next truck stop or rest area. So I can't say anything (yet!) about the actual offerings there. I'll also send the problematic signage to the Autobahn GmbH. Perhaps they can adjust the signage so that everyone can find the car parking spaces in Köchern West in the future. I wonder how it's possible that no one has noticed this problem yet?

You should just keep driving... The restrooms aren't clean, despite the €1 charge. Burger King and the coffee stand are understaffed. Also, no card payments are accepted.

Burger King doesn't take orders at the counter, and Sanifair can't be redeemed. Burgers are sold out, and terminals have been marked, and employees have informed the long line. Coffee Fellows only accepts cash, and many products are unavailable, such as smoothies. Communication is difficult due to the language barrier.

The staff were sometimes very unfriendly. After trying to order schnitzel with fried potatoes, we were practically yelled at, saying they didn't have any fried potatoes and pointed to an empty pan. That was the end of the counter staff's case.

I only had coffee during my break in that place, it seemed very elegant to me.

Limited selection at Burger King. You can choose a toy when ordering, only to be told when you pick it up that there are no toys available. This could have been communicated beforehand. The fries are placed on the tray in such a way that half of them fall out the other side. Unfortunately, this is significantly worse than other Burger King restaurants and the competition.

Large, well-organized, and, above all, clean restrooms. Depending on the time of day, there are plenty of parking spaces.

One star is too many! The sanitary facilities are broken, card payments aren't accepted, and the owner—presumably—has no understanding of the need to use the bathroom and doesn't have any cash. A disaster! The restrooms are dirty. They don't serve coffee in cups because you don't want to do the dishes. "Or do you want to do that?" was the cheeky response.

The toilets at the petrol station are, to put it bluntly, absolutely disgusting. It's a disgrace to charge a euro for them. And when I pointed this out to the staff, they just said it wasn't their problem. That was the last time I'll drive out of here. I'd rather go along Fläming towards Berlin, where everything is great. It's a shame that you have to give it a star to post this, because they don't deserve it. Then I walked into the service station to get an ice cream, but for over 10 minutes there was no one there and the staff preferred to play on their mobile phones in the back corner somewhere. I'm totally disappointed and appalled. There hasn't been a service station this bad for a long time, and as a professional driver I see a lot. But this is by far the worst service station in Germany.

I can't really recommend this place. The only good thing was the waitress who served us. The bagels we ordered seemed to be from the day before.

We stopped along the way for practical reasons. The prices are a bit high, and the food is rather mediocre. If I can avoid it, I probably wouldn't stop here again.

I found the petrol prices hefty

Pay close attention to whether you can get plant-based milk (oat milk, Oatly) with your coffee at Coffee Fellows. Unfortunately, it's not reliable. I went there once and asked if they were sure they'd given me oats. They said yes. Then my husband got the same oat cappuccino, which tasted completely different. When I went back, I got yelled at because the colleague thought I hadn't ordered yet and wanted to send me to the other side, while the colleague from before was making me a new cappuccino. She then held out the pot to me and cheekily said, "Here, oat milk," as if you could tell when the milk is already in the pot. No apology, no understanding. It definitely tasted completely different afterward. That shouldn't happen with allergens, especially if you've already asked.

A large, spacious lawn, but unfortunately, you can't rest. Not a single bench, not a table, nothing at all. You have to put your coffee cup on the roof of your car to even put it down. A real shame.

The one star is for the coffee. Unfortunately, the bagels were so dry they were barely edible. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. This rest stop is not recommended.

Disastrous treatment of obviously new employees. The tone of communication here really leaves a lot to be desired. At least the rest area and restrooms were clean.

As for me, a failure... the entire facility without air conditioning. When it was well over 30 degrees outside, it was a massacre inside, like in an oven. In Burger King they didn't cope when there were only a few customers, in Coffee Fellows the energy drink is water with juice from a bottle. Only the espresso was good, that's why 2⭐.

Update: It's definitely not open at 7 a.m. Saturdays. What a joke about being open 24/7. Two years ago: Service was okay, cleanliness was mediocre. A disaster!!! Zero stars! Line at the snack counter, which was unfortunately empty! They only had cakes. Referring to the "anytime is snack time" advertisement, I asked for two paninis and a coffee. The waitress told me that everything was already sold out today. I then ordered cappuccinos and coffee to drink at the rest stop. They were served in paper cups! When we asked if we could drink them in a cup, we were told the dishwasher was broken. Either the manager or the staff urgently needs to be replaced!!! Absolutely avoid this place!!!

I took a shower at the rest stop today! It cost 4 euros and the shower was clean and tidy as it should be! There is only one in the rest house, and I was happy!

Unfortunately, the Köckern West service area did not convince us. There is no classic restaurant - instead just a Burger King and a small shop with sandwiches and snacks. Especially at lunchtime, that's a rather meager offer for a rest area on one of the busiest motorways in Germany. At Burger King, all of the ordering terminals were out of order and only two employees were trying to handle the huge rush. The queue was correspondingly long, the process was slow, and after waiting around ten minutes we decided to move on. A broader and better organized offering would be desirable, especially at peak meal time. If you just want to buy something quick, you might find what you're looking for here - but if you're hoping for a relaxed meal in a reasonable atmosphere, you probably won't.

Lots of space for stoneware and light stoneware😌...Burger King has great and friendly service, you can communicate in Polish, Spanish, English and, of course, German. I didn't add a 5th * because the payment for the toilet is only in cash, but we solved the problem positively with the compatriots behind the counter.The toilet is very clean, free wi-fi, open 8am-8pm, good coffee, the food at Burger King is quite good - the fries are really tasty...I recommend! What's more - a shower costs €4 but... you have to leave the building, go around it and behind the building there is, among others: the so-called prefab and inside there is a shower, washbasin, toilet, i.e. toilet in three separate rooms. It is clean and warm, and hot water is provided by an electric boiler. on the wall. You don't have to press anything, the faucet (faucet) is the same as at home - no one limits the bathing time, etc. it's fine...

It's rare to find such bad staff. Then the operator should shorten the opening times, but that's not possible with these people!! Positive: Coffee is strong and tasty.....

The very last thing... an employee vomits and the entire staff takes care of the sick girl. Every now and then someone would join us at the checkout or at the food counter without even washing their hands, etc. Disgusting is all I say. Paramedics were called and suddenly all the staff disappeared again. If I puke tomorrow I'll know where from, but then the health department will also know and can please close the shop. Friday 08:10 - we are standing in front of closed doors

The restaurant has a nice ambience. We felt comfortable there. The service is first class.

First what's great The toilets are clean and OK. The shop is stocked as usual at rest stops and priced accordingly. Flop The Burger King on site was closed. The hot counter is well advertised, but it fails with an avocado bagel and a glass of ginger with lemon, according to the menu there should have been both. The bagels that are available are 3/4 full, the rest is dry. And the tea tastes like nothing (let's be polite).
