Fantastic night out, the venue was really busy and the food fantastic!!

Very nice place to have a dinner. Seafood pasta was great as well as fish and other dishes. Can recommend it absolutely 💯👌

Once again a pleasure. The 3-course menu was reintroduced and the starter, main course and dessert were once again fantastic. We like to come here because of the overall package of beautiful ambience, committed and friendly staff and of course the food. See you soon again.

Good food with a small menu. Service typical of nice people from Cologne. Every now and then it could go a little faster, but everything is fine. Unfortunately only bottled beer, no draft drinks. But quality is good. 👍🏻

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere

Wir waren mit Freunden erstmalig im Tanica und insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend und alle Weine waren sehr gut. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gut, aber könnte in der Qualität besser sein. Bei den Octopus-Pasta zwei Stücke Octopus ist etwas wenig.

Very good food and consistently good service

The food at Tanica is actually very tasty, but the service is an absolute disaster. We waited almost half an hour for anyone to even ask if we wanted food or drinks. After about another 35 minutes the starter came and another 40 minutes later the main course. This is an imposition.

The food was very tasty. We were lucky to get a table at short notice. Definitely going there again.

Ich war nicht das erste Mal im Tanica und mag es dort wegen dem schönen Ambiente, gutem Essen, kompetenten Service. Deshalb fällt die Bewertung auch positiver aus, als wenn ich dort das erste Mal gewesen wäre. Denn dieses Mal lief es leider gar nicht rund. - Die Speisekarte hatte nichts veganes, was meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz zeitgemäß ist. Die beiden vegetarischen Optionen waren Pasta. - Wenn ein Restaurant Tische nur für 2 Stunden vergibt, dann kann ich es zwar verstehen, aber es setzt schnellen Service voraus. Eine halbe Stunde lang haben wir versucht Aufmerksamkeit unseres Kellners zu bekommen (Viertel unserer Zeit abgelaufen). Nicht einmal Wein konnten wir bestellen. Uns unterhalten konnten wir auch nicht, weil wir beide aktiv und freundlich den Kellnerkontakt gesucht haben. Dass wir dann keine Vor- oder Nachspeisen essen, mehr Wein trinken usw. versteht sich, denn niemand will es dann runterkippen. Zu seiner Verteidigung: neben uns saß ein wirklich schwieriges Pärchen, die wirklich an allem etwas auszusetzen hatten, und er mit ihnen gut beschäftigt war. Aber die waren unzufrieden, bevor sie überhaupt was bekommen haben und es war eh kaum zu retten. Muss man deswegen andere Gäste bestrafen? Sollte es für solche Fälle nicht jemanden geben, wer bei solchen Gästen einspringt, wenn der eigentliche Kellner es dadurch nicht schafft andere zu bedienen? - Weinempfehlung zur gewählten Speise: Es kann natürlich zufällig sein, dass ausgerechnet die beiden teuersten Weine ideal dazu passen und deshalb empfohlen werden. In diesem Fall kann das absolut nicht der Grund gewesen sein, denn der als erstes empfohlene Wein (der teuerste, Riesling) absolut gar nicht passte (ok, Geschmäcker sind verschieden), aber er war auch komplett anders als die Zweitempfehlung (der zweitteuerste, Chardonnay). Eine Logik fehlte und hatte stark den Eindruck, es geht nach Preis.

Nice atmosphere, the food was good but personally I was missing that special something. But as we all know, taste varies.

We've always enjoyed going to Tanica, but on recent visits the cuisine has become increasingly poor. Unfortunately, the calamaretti wasn't crispy and the salad was very lackluster. Some of the pasta tasted very bland. Dessert was better again. As always, service was very warm and attentive, despite a very long wait between courses, which the service couldn't do anything about.

Wir waren immer gerne im Tanica, aber bei den letzten Besuchen hat die Küche immer mehr nachgelassen. Calamaretti leider nicht kross und der Salat sehr lustlos. Die Nudeln geschmacklich teilweise sehr fad. Dessert war dafür wieder besser. Service war wie immer sehr herzlich und aufmerksam, trotz sehr langer Wartezeit zwischen den Gängen, wofür der Service nichts konnte.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Speisen sind alle hervorragend und das Ambiente ist sehr schön und stilvoll!

Wunderbare Erfahrung wie immer. Die Vorspeisen waren exzellent und der Burata Salat auch. Probiert aufjedenfall die Hirschravioli!

Seit vielen Jahren ein tolles Restaurant… wir kommen sehr gerne immer wieder hierher zurück (sofern wir noch einen Platz bekommen können)

Wir haben sehr frühzeitig vor einigen Wochen einen Tisch reserviert und uns sehr auf den Abend in schöner Atmosphäre gefreut. Leider haben wir dann gestern Abend einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen, der absolut inakzeptabel war, der Tisch war im Durchgangsbereich zur Küche, sodass einer von uns genau im Gang gesessen hätte. Total ungemütlich, laut und hektisch. Dieser Tisch war zudem total lieblos hergerichtet und sah aus als wäre er „noch dazu gestellt“ worden. Auf unsere Nachfrage nach einem anderen Tisch konnte uns nichts angeboten werden, bzw. wurde sich auch nicht groß darum bemüht - so dass wir direkt wieder gegangen sind. Früher sind wir gern ins Tanica gegangen, aber diese Erfahrung war mehr als unschön, insbesondere weil wir extra so frühzeitig reserviert haben!!!! Leider macht es zunehmend den Anschein, dass das Ziel ist einfach viele Gäste auf einmal zu bedienen und möglichst viel Umsatz zu machen, sodass die Gäste noch in die letzte Ecke „gequetscht“ werden… Schade!

The Tanica has a nice ambience, we received friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. The menu is manageable, but offers something for many tastes. Unfortunately there is only one vegetarian and no vegan main course. We really enjoyed the vegetarian pumpkin risotto with goat cheese. We found the prices reasonable.

Wir waren insgesamt mit unserem Besuch sehr zufrieden und haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wir haben insbesondere nach den Zutaten der Speisen gefragt, weil eine Veganerin und eine Schwangere mit beim Restaurantbesuch waren. Wie stellten beim Essen dann fest, dass der Parmesan im Gericht ( nicht wie vorher erklärt) mit in der Speise verkocht war ( Rohmilch ist für Schwangere ein Risiko), sondern erst später hinzugefügt wurde und nur unter einer Wärmelampe etwas geschmolzen war. Es weiteren haben wir uns darauf verlassen, dass die Auskunft darüber, dass die Speise keinen Alkohol enthält. Da hätten wir uns die Nachfrage in der Küche gewünscht. Wir werden aber bestimmt nochmal wieder kommen.

Romantic atmosphere and delicious food. Tanica was perfect for a date night while visiting Koln.

Furnishings are a mix of rustic and chic. Service was great! Food too. Very versatile! Walnut croquettes and calamari mega. The only criticism was that it was too warm and the music was a bit too loud in the evening. Still recommended. I'd love to come back during the day.

Der Service und das Essen war Top. Ich hätte mir bei der Menüauswahl eine zweite Fischoption gewünscht. Schade das die Möbel (Tische & Stühle) so abgenutzt sind, alles sehr wackelig & Heavy Used. Ein kleines FreshUp wäre aus meiner Sicht nötig.

Leider viel zu voll und zu laut. Meiner Meinung nach lieber ein paar Tische weniger im Großraum, um den Geräuschpegel zu senken und etwas mehr Privatsphäre zu schaffen. Man sitzt quasi aufeinander und bekommt private Gespräche mit...

For me, Tanica is one of the leading restaurants in Cologne in terms of quality!

We reserved a table for our Christmas party several weeks in advance, asking not to be seated in the toilet area. In vain, we sat right at the entrance to the toilet. The food was fresh and basically tasty, but extremely overpriced for the small portion size. A person from the bar staff came to the table and asked our friend to empty the cocktail glass because he needed it for new drinks. Unbelievable, an apology was made when we asked

Sehr gutes Essen. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Aufmerksames Personal. Wir sind satt geworden mit dem Menü. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder. Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist die Lautstärke. Aber wenn man nicht viel erzählen will, ist das auch ganz ok. Also trotzdem volle Punktzahl.

I've been to Tanica 2-3 times before and have usually had a good experience and I have to emphasize that up front. However, I would not recommend coming here in larger groups (especially on weekends). Despite a reservation, things went haywire here. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our table, with other groups being seated ahead of us. After that, everything with the food took a long time, so we didn't get our main course until around 11 p.m. The waitresses were friendly and did their job well, but unfortunately the organization doesn't seem to be quite right. It's a shame because it really left a bitter aftertaste.

We had such a blast at this restaurant! From the warm service, the cosy & romantic atmosphere to the delicious dishes, everything was perfect. Even though the restaurant was crowded and noisy, the waiter made sure that the service was on top ! I really recommend to book a table there when you are in Cologne! And special thank to Marvin for his professionalism and kindness.

The Tanica was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. Friendly and nice service and delicious food. The only thing that bothered us was that the tables were relatively close together. But everyone has a different perception.

Der 4er Tisch unter dem Lautsprecher war eine Katastrophe, nach der Bitte die Musik leiser zu regeln, wurde nach 5 min die Musik wieder sehr laut aufgedreht. Durch die laute Musik wurde sich an den Nachbartischen sehr laut unterhalten wodurch der Geräuschpegel teilweise sehr stressig war. Der Cocktail zum Aperitif wurde leider vergessen. Die Nudeln im Pastagericht waren leider vorgekocht, ein no go für diese Preisklasse. Das Fischgericht war sehr fad, der Lammrücken war ok.

It's my favorite restaurant. The dishes from here are uniquely good and delicious. The service, the cooks The entire staff is friendly, relaxed and very accommodating. And of course the greatest praise goes to the chefs. All in all it's a cozy atmosphere there. People go and see for yourself. Maybe it will become your favorite restaurant too. Ganz tolle, romantische Atmosphäre. Das 3 Gänge Menü ist definitiv seinen Preis wert, es hat hervorragend geschmeckt und die Portionen waren ausreichend groß. Der Wein war sehr gut und der Service zuvorkommend. Klare Empfehlung, vor allem für einen romantischen Abend zu zweit, wenn es etwas besonderes sein soll.

We were looking for a romantic restaurant and chose this one. Unfortunately it wasn't romantic, but it was loud and crowded. The food surprised us, very tasty and beautifully decorated. Our service was also a highlight!! No romance but recommended!!!!!

I ordered a Roero Arneis wine from the menu and got a (different) Arneis without asking whether this was also right. The tart I ordered for dessert only came as half a tart.

Unser Kellner war wirklich super zuvorkommend und eine sehr entspannte Weise höflich! Meine Schwester hatte Geburtstag und wir haben ein Glas Sekt geschenkt bekommen. Wirklich super Service und das Essen war perfekt.

The selection of dishes at Tanica is quite small, but all dishes are exceptionally prepared. We spent a lovely evening there with great service. Unfortunately we couldn't choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. Only the outdoor area was used that evening. Although the weather was good, tables and chairs are placed in the parking bay so it was a little cramped.

What a wonderful experience! We had dinner at Tanica yesterday and had a breathtaking gastronomic journey. The 3-course menu is thoroughly recommended, absolutely justified in terms of price and simply delicious. The service was quick, attentive above average, very friendly and really competent. Wines could also be tasted in advance. It won't be our last visit.

Gestern war der Service nicht wie gewohnt, Wein wurde vergessen und wir wurden etwas ignoriert. Das kann aber passieren! Die neue Karte gefällt mir persönlich nicht ganz so gut, insbesondere die VorspeisenAuswahl aber das ist Geschmacksache.
