Nice atmosphere for a relaxed dinner.

Despite the restaurant’s size, it offers a beautiful and intimate setting with candlelight and warm wood interiors. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The salmon tartare was tasty, but the white veal bolognese and the pistachio mousse dessert didn’t quite deliver the special touch we were hoping for. Pricing was fair overall.

We celebrated my daughter's birthday there. Everything was perfect. The food was superb – great wine list. Excellent service!

I spontaneously decided to eat there around lunchtime, and it was absolutely delicious! I was truly impressed. The pumpkin soup as a starter was simply amazing. The carbonara was divine; you could taste the authentic flavor, exactly as it should be made. The waiters were incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. You absolutely have to go there!

The food was anything but delicious and good… the truffle pasta and risotto tasted of nothing, and instead of "fresh" truffles, they used canned truffles. The sauce tasted only of milk; otherwise, it had no flavor at all. The fish was overcooked and became dry, and the food was reheated twice. The plates were scalding hot, but the food was cold. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately not very attentive. The ambiance is nice.

A must-see when we're in Cologne.

The food was okay. The appetizers were very tasty, but none of the four different main courses were convincing. I had the linguine, and the sauce was too bland and too thin for my taste. But that's just my opinion. The restaurant itself was also very nice. Unfortunately, the temperature fluctuated wildly. Sometimes there was a strong draft, making you worry about the candles, or it was oppressively hot. Now for the worst part. Our waiter was incredibly rude. I think every single one of us got a piece of his mind. He made comments about how chaotic our order was and that it was brainless to bring the appetizer and main course at the same time. He claimed it would overcrowd the table (which it didn't). When we asked if a dish contained cheese, he had no answer and didn't even check with the kitchen. Now for the worst part. A wrong dish caused confusion for us, and the explanation given was that part of our group had briefly stepped outside (it was very hot) and weren't seated when the food arrived. I remember the dish was wrong. Our second round of drinks took a very long time to arrive. When we asked about it, only a quarter of our drinks were brought. After 20 minutes, one person decided it wasn't enough and didn't want theirs after all. Almost 30 minutes passed, and the last two missing drinks still hadn't arrived. At that point, we'd had enough. Our separate checks were combined into one. The waiter seemed constantly confused and uninformed, and frankly, every response he gave was snide, even to other guests. I hope it was just a bad day or a strange sense of humor.

Dessert was great. Unfortunately, my linguine was like soup and tasteless 🥲, but the service was top-notch.

Stylish restaurant, but very loud. We expected more from the food. The ravioli with venison medallions was unfortunately not homemade (but the menu didn't claim it was) and relatively bland, lacking in flavor. The medallions were cooked to perfection. The redfish could have been more translucent, and the vegetables less greasy. The service was relaxed, communicative, and friendly.

We had a really lovely girls' night out with you yesterday. What can I say – the service was simply top-notch! Super polite and incredibly friendly. When the main course arrived a little late, you immediately offered us a drink on the house – you rarely experience that kind of attention! The food was also a solid 10/10. We'll definitely be back!

We were there for a team meal. The service was super friendly and attentive. But unfortunately, the food (menu) didn't impress. The appetizer selection was unwieldy to share, with, for example, two croquettes for five people, and the salmon tartare had a strange aftertaste. I chose the beef fillet, which was clearly a very chewy sirloin steak, which was cooked to varying degrees for each person. For dessert, I chose the mascarpone cream, which was unrefrigerated and made with UHT milk, which you could unfortunately taste.

The service is absolutely top-notch. Bread with olive oil is served beforehand, drinks arrived super quickly, and the service was very attentive. The food was incredibly delicious! It's generally a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it.

One of my favorite restaurants. The service is always excellent, and it wasn't a problem that we arrived earlier than our reservation. For starters, we had the calamari and the marinated beef. Both were delicious. For main courses, we had the truffle pasta and the flank steak. The truffle pasta was tasty, but the sauce was quite thin and therefore truly average. The flank steak was a bit tough, but the sauce was a real treat. To finish off, we had the cheesecake (probably misspelled "cheescake" on the menu), which was also delicious. A perfect evening.

Beautiful ambience, but the food was rather disappointing. The outdoor area is really great, spacious, and stylish. I also like the small menu, as it makes choosing easier. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing. My truffle pasta was too watery, not creamy. The salmon pasta contained a surprising variety of seafood. The menu only listed salmon, cherry tomatoes, and basil. Since the waitress knew the dish was for a child, a brief note would have been helpful. The beef tartare was also okay, but nothing special. The value for money isn't quite right for me. I'd happily come back for a drink, but not for the food.

Unfortunately, the menu on the website doesn't match the actual menu in the restaurant; the selection was significantly smaller. The waitress was somewhat unfriendly. Even though several employees were present, I had to ask three times for our table to be cleared. The restaurant itself is very nice, and the food was truly delicious. However, I would have expected significantly more professionalism and better service from a restaurant of this caliber, both in terms of staff and organization.

Very good dishes, upscale Italian cuisine. Also a very good wine selection, attentive, friendly, not intrusive, and very pleasant service. Nice ambiance, the only minor criticism: it's relatively noisy, despite some insulation in the ceilings. But that's high-level criticism; I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

A mixed experience on a Saturday evening. We got a nice seat outside. Then we had to wait a long time before we were even served. We opted for the 3-course menu (44€). The main course arrived cold, the sauce already forming a skin. The starter was excellent, as was the dessert. 😍 The wine we ordered was forgotten. The wait time between courses was excessive. The service was mediocre. I had higher expectations for this price range. One waiter and the waitress at the reception were very friendly and courteous. One waiter was very cold and came across as arrogant. He didn't even ask who had ordered which dish when serving, but simply put everything down. What I found truly wasteful was the changing of napkins after each course. I sometimes didn't even use the napkin, and everything was still cleared away. This should be reconsidered in the interest of sustainability.

Unfortunately, our visit to Tanica was disappointing. Despite having a reservation, we were uncompromisingly asked to leave the table after exactly 90 minutes – even though our glasses were still half full. The normally friendly waitress suddenly became noticeably insistent about paying, which left an unpleasant aftertaste to the entire atmosphere. For a restaurant of this standard, such rigid time management is simply disrespectful to paying guests. It's a shame, because the ambiance and cuisine had potential – but the experience was anything but relaxing.

At first glance, Tanica impresses with its truly beautiful, modern ambiance. The interior is stylish and creates a pleasant, almost upscale atmosphere. I would particularly like to highlight the service: extremely friendly, attentive, and professional, without being intrusive. You feel like you're in good hands right from the start. I had mixed feelings about the food, however. I opted for the fish of the day—in my case, char with risotto. Unfortunately, the dish didn't quite convince me in terms of taste. The fish was okay, but by no means special, and the raw, very thinly sliced ​​vegetable strips that were served with it seemed rather uninspired to me and didn't complement the dish in a meaningful way. The prices are a bit higher, but that's entirely understandable given the location, ambiance, and service.

It was our first time at Tanica and we'll be happy to return. From the very first minute, the service was super friendly and very attentive. Even our furry friend was well looked after. The food selection was perfect. The wine list was more than adequate. All in all, a successful evening.

I had reserved and then confirmed via their site a table from 8 to 8:30 p.m. (i.e. second service). When we arrived at 8:29 p.m., our beautiful table on the terrace had been given to 5 other people. We had to wait (with a complimentary glass of Sekt) for a table located in the parking lot next to the trash cans and delivery pallets to become available. We were there for my daughter's 25th birthday!! The kitchen is a simple disaster: for all the dishes we chose (vegetarian vegetable curry, pasta with squid and shrimp, pasta with asparagus), all the vegetables were raw!! Large slices of inedible carrots, raw asparagus, uncooked tofu... it was impossible to eat. The worst part is that by not even taking the time to cook the vegetables (for any of the dishes ordered), we had to wait 45 minutes for the starter and more than an hour for the main course; and the restaurant was less than 50% full at that time. Our table was so out of the way next to the trash cans that we finished dinner in the dark by the light of our cell phone flashlights. A failed evening, to say the least and despite my remarks (polite, but explicit) no action on a bill of €370. This restaurant is not worth the prices charged.

This is especially a shame if you want to celebrate your anniversary here and end up having to cancel the bottle of wine because someone has already finished eating. We had already waited a quarter of an hour for the menus at the beginning. Given the prices, I would just expect a little more. I sat both inside and outside. It's very cramped inside and the tables aren't particularly big. Although this seems to be 'in' now, I still prefer to have a little space for plates and glasses. The interior itself is beautifully designed and bears witness to history in one corner or another. When it is warm, the tables are moved from inside to outside. You sit on the street, but it is very quiet and there is hardly any traffic. The menu is clear, but everyone can find something here.

There were four of us and overall we had a lovely evening. A reservation is highly recommended. According to the service staff, there is no difference in the size/quantity of the dishes between a la card and the menus. So I chose the menu even though I didn't really want dessert. But he surprised me very positively. The noodles were very good. A small drawback: It is very loud in the restaurant. We'd love to come back.

I've wanted to visit this place for a very long time and regret not doing so before. Beautiful ambience, great service and the food is simply phenomenal. I had the pasta with mussels and seafood and I was speechless. The quality of the food was incredible, you could taste it straight away. The sauce was so fresh, you could literally taste the sea. One of the best seafood pastas in my life.

Wir waren mit Freunden erstmalig im Tanica und insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend und alle Weine waren sehr gut. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gut, aber könnte in der Qualität besser sein. Bei den Octopus-Pasta zwei Stücke Octopus ist etwas wenig.

Very good food and consistently good service

The food at Tanica is actually very tasty, but the service is an absolute disaster. We waited almost half an hour for anyone to even ask if we wanted food or drinks. After about another 35 minutes the starter came and another 40 minutes later the main course. This is an imposition.

Ich war nicht das erste Mal im Tanica und mag es dort wegen dem schönen Ambiente, gutem Essen, kompetenten Service. Deshalb fällt die Bewertung auch positiver aus, als wenn ich dort das erste Mal gewesen wäre. Denn dieses Mal lief es leider gar nicht rund. - Die Speisekarte hatte nichts veganes, was meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz zeitgemäß ist. Die beiden vegetarischen Optionen waren Pasta. - Wenn ein Restaurant Tische nur für 2 Stunden vergibt, dann kann ich es zwar verstehen, aber es setzt schnellen Service voraus. Eine halbe Stunde lang haben wir versucht Aufmerksamkeit unseres Kellners zu bekommen (Viertel unserer Zeit abgelaufen). Nicht einmal Wein konnten wir bestellen. Uns unterhalten konnten wir auch nicht, weil wir beide aktiv und freundlich den Kellnerkontakt gesucht haben. Dass wir dann keine Vor- oder Nachspeisen essen, mehr Wein trinken usw. versteht sich, denn niemand will es dann runterkippen. Zu seiner Verteidigung: neben uns saß ein wirklich schwieriges Pärchen, die wirklich an allem etwas auszusetzen hatten, und er mit ihnen gut beschäftigt war. Aber die waren unzufrieden, bevor sie überhaupt was bekommen haben und es war eh kaum zu retten. Muss man deswegen andere Gäste bestrafen? Sollte es für solche Fälle nicht jemanden geben, wer bei solchen Gästen einspringt, wenn der eigentliche Kellner es dadurch nicht schafft andere zu bedienen? - Weinempfehlung zur gewählten Speise: Es kann natürlich zufällig sein, dass ausgerechnet die beiden teuersten Weine ideal dazu passen und deshalb empfohlen werden. In diesem Fall kann das absolut nicht der Grund gewesen sein, denn der als erstes empfohlene Wein (der teuerste, Riesling) absolut gar nicht passte (ok, Geschmäcker sind verschieden), aber er war auch komplett anders als die Zweitempfehlung (der zweitteuerste, Chardonnay). Eine Logik fehlte und hatte stark den Eindruck, es geht nach Preis.

We've always enjoyed going to Tanica, but on recent visits the cuisine has become increasingly poor. Unfortunately, the calamaretti wasn't crispy and the salad was very lackluster. Some of the pasta tasted very bland. Dessert was better again. As always, service was very warm and attentive, despite a very long wait between courses, which the service couldn't do anything about.

Wir waren immer gerne im Tanica, aber bei den letzten Besuchen hat die Küche immer mehr nachgelassen. Calamaretti leider nicht kross und der Salat sehr lustlos. Die Nudeln geschmacklich teilweise sehr fad. Dessert war dafür wieder besser. Service war wie immer sehr herzlich und aufmerksam, trotz sehr langer Wartezeit zwischen den Gängen, wofür der Service nichts konnte.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Speisen sind alle hervorragend und das Ambiente ist sehr schön und stilvoll!

Wir haben sehr frühzeitig vor einigen Wochen einen Tisch reserviert und uns sehr auf den Abend in schöner Atmosphäre gefreut. Leider haben wir dann gestern Abend einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen, der absolut inakzeptabel war, der Tisch war im Durchgangsbereich zur Küche, sodass einer von uns genau im Gang gesessen hätte. Total ungemütlich, laut und hektisch. Dieser Tisch war zudem total lieblos hergerichtet und sah aus als wäre er „noch dazu gestellt“ worden. Auf unsere Nachfrage nach einem anderen Tisch konnte uns nichts angeboten werden, bzw. wurde sich auch nicht groß darum bemüht - so dass wir direkt wieder gegangen sind. Früher sind wir gern ins Tanica gegangen, aber diese Erfahrung war mehr als unschön, insbesondere weil wir extra so frühzeitig reserviert haben!!!! Leider macht es zunehmend den Anschein, dass das Ziel ist einfach viele Gäste auf einmal zu bedienen und möglichst viel Umsatz zu machen, sodass die Gäste noch in die letzte Ecke „gequetscht“ werden… Schade!
