Tandoori Mahal in Berlin

We've been to this restaurant many times and will be back many more. Most recently, we were there for our daughter's birthday. At the end of the meal, we treated the birthday girl to a free ice cream sundae.

Very disappointing, No sign about cash/EC only. The behaviour wasn't good at all.

We were on a quick visit to visit our son and ended up at the Tandoori Mahal hoping to have a vegetarian dinner. It was the right decision! Friendly hosts treated us to North Indian delicacies... we would definitely visit again if we're in the area.

We have been satisfied customers for years. It's a bit under the radar, overshadowed by the larger operations, but its still the best in Köpenick by far.

Tandoori Mahal nailed it. The food was packed with flavor, especially the tandoori dishes—smoky, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Great vibes, friendly staff, and honestly one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be coming back.

The furnishings are typically Indian, colorful and playful. The food and drinks offered are of good quality and the portions are reasonable. We were warmly welcomed.

We have been eating here for birthdays for several years. There is no better Indian food for us. Bathura bread dipped in curry sauce. As a starter, Gobi Pakora (cauliflower baked in batter). It couldn't be better. The staff is always really friendly and it is the only restaurant that has not raised the prices so far. So you get really tasty food and cocktails at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

We had lunch there on September 27th, 2024 and were thrilled. We both took a lamb dish from the lunch menu. There was a starter soup with fluffy bread beforehand. The food came quickly, was nicely prepared and we liked everything very much. The service was professional and friendly. The prices are extremely moderate. The toilets were very clean. We can only recommend the restaurant. If you want good and inexpensive Indian food, you're in good hands here. We'd love to come back.

Anyone who has to live off Harz 4 will definitely feel very comfortable here. There are much better alternatives nearby. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is typically Indian-Pakistani, the toilets are falling apart and at best meet Indian standards. The drinks are good and cheap. This is apparently due to the neighboring clientele. Otherwise it was a rather boring experience. PS: The third star goes to the fried flatbread.

The worst experience me and my husband had today. I ordered biryani, daal channa and 3 Naan. Instead of three naan got two, The biryani rice was uncooked and tasted not like biryani. Daal was fine. I don't recommend this place 😕.

I don't even know how to start... We (two people) spontaneously went to eat here. The restaurant was empty and had no other customers. The waiter was grumpy and not very friendly. But it couldn't have been due to too much stress. The food was just nothing. I've had so much better Indian food in this city. It was bland, the naan wasn't fluffy flatbread-like, but more like crispbread. The first order of drinks came in a normal time (2x tea), we were only asked for more when the dishes from the food were cleared away. Unfortunately not at all after that. It was probably because the staff had made themselves comfortable further back in the restaurant to eat. Which is generally OK, but you shouldn't forget your guests! We were in the restaurant from around 3:30 p.m. to around 7 p.m. Tempted by the relatively good reviews, we were bitterly disappointed. This restaurant is not worth recommending and will never see us again. A pity...

Typical Indian, very friendly service, correct prices

Nach vorheriger Platzauswahl und Tischbestellung für mein Geburtstagsessen mit der Familie haben wir gestern gut gelaunt und mit gesundem Appetit im Tandoori Mahal zu Mittag gegessen. Die nette Begrüßung, die schnelle Bedienung und das leckere Mahl haben uns Erwachsenen und auch den Kindern sehr erfreut und gemundet. Die freundliche Atmosphäre in einem angenehm-warmen Ambiente sowie faire Preise veranlassen uns, gern wieder zu "Speis und Trank" vorbeizuschauen. Vielen Dank !!

Food and service are good. Ambience very old-fashioned but ok...the Indian music is a bit too loud and a bit annoying. I think the 0815 system is to blame.

We eat there about 2 to 3 times a month. Very nice staff, good atmosphere and delicious food. And during the week there are lunch menus at a bargain price if you want and aren't too hungry. Ella

Ich bin erstmal hier, und immer wieder gerne, super nette und freundliche Leute. Essen super lecker. Besucht selber und macht euch ein Urteil.

Nach einer Sightseeingtour landete ich hier und bin begeistert. Sauerscharfsuppe, schicken Tikka und Naan mit drei Soßen waren ausgesprochen lecker. Dazu freundliche Bedienug und angenehm indisches Ambiente. Mit Kaffee im Anschluss und Getränke knapp 30,- € sind für die Qualität ein angemessener Preis. Mittagmenüs in der Wochenzeit von 11 - 16 Uhr sind natürlich billiger und beinhalten auch eine Suppe. Eignet sich für Familien, Singles und Feiern. Gerne wieder!

Ich liebe indische küche Aber das hier war nicht so meins.jeder hat sein Geschmack. Bedienung:sehr nett Ambiente:zu viel schnick schnack,Rosen,Bilder,dicke vorhänge aus samt rot,zu viele Tischdecken,rote stühle,es sah einfach nicht indisch aus. Essen:wir hatten die mittagskarte.dazu gab es Salat ,Suppe Hauptspeise. Suppe war wohl Champions (evtl aus der tüte)oder so ich hätte mir eine Linsensuppe gewünscht.essen war Ehen fade kaum gewürzt.mein Bruder hatte Chicken korma der liebt das aber das Gericht hat einfach nur süß geschmeckt.wie ein Chutney. Fazit:am besten die gesamte Deko raus schmeißen ich kann gerne helfen ich hab ein Auge dafür😜 Gut gemeinte Kritik .

Wirklich völlig unscheinbar von außen. Super Service und unglaublich lecker. Absolute Weiterempfehlung ! Auf jeden Fall mit Vorspeisen essen. Für 70 EUR haben wir das Restaurant kugelrund verlassen und sind mit dem Preis und Leistungsverhältnis völlig zufrieden. Service war wirklich super toll. Unglaublich freundlich und alle Speisen super erklärt.

Ja, Essen schmeckt. Aber lieber nicht die Küche betreten. Nachdem ich mal in der Küche war, war ich danach nicht mehr dort essen.

Tippitoppi, lecker, flink, freundlich, unterhaltsam, klasse indisches essen und auch zum mitnehmen.

Also wirklich man kann an nichts herummeckern. Der Service ist mehr als fabulös. Das Essen wirklich ein Gaumenschmaus. Die Getränke super. Und das preisleistungs Verhältnis auch top. Gut am besten Bargeld beihaben aber da sich umliegend genug Automaten befinden ist dies aich nicht schlimm, wenn man es mal vergisst. Fazit alles in allem 5 Sterne und aus vollem Herzen weiter zu empfehlen.

Das Ambiente war charmant und strahlte eine intime und gemütliche Atmosphäre aus. Es war offensichtlich, dass die Eigentümer ihr ganzes Herzblut in die Schaffung eines einladenden Raums für ihre Gäste gesteckt haben.

Dieser Ort ist großartig! Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und cool, aber das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich. Sie wissen, was sie tun und worüber sie sprechen, und man merkt, dass die Zufriedenheit der Kunden für sie oberste Priorität hat. Das Essen ist ziemlich gut, es gibt einige italienische Klassiker und einige Besonderheiten, und für die Preise ist es es zu 100 % wert.

Ich hatte das unvergesslichste kulinarische Erlebnis im Tandoori Mahal. Von dem Moment an, als ich eintrat, wurde ich mit einem warmen Lächeln und ausgezeichnetem Service begrüßt. Das Ambiente war gemütlich und einladend und bot den perfekten Rahmen für ein unvergessliches Essen.

Authenticate Indian cuisine must try

Wir waren gestern Samstag dort essen . Essen war mittelmäßig da das Entenfleisch wie Gummi war . Dann kam der nette Kellner und fragte , ob wir einen Verdauer haben möchten . Wir haben bejaht und er brachte uns einen 4 cl durchsichtigen angeblichen Mangoschnaps . Zum Schluss kam die Rechnung mit 13,20 Euro für den Schnaps????? Wir fragten ,ob es ein Irrtum ist worauf uns erklärt wurde,das es ein Mangoschnaps ist und kein Likör aufs Haus. Abzocke vom feinsten!!!! Einen großen Bogen um dieses Restaurant!!!! Wir waren schon sehr oft indisch essen in anderen Restaurants und haben auch einen Verdauer bekommen (gratis) , aber sowas nenne ich Abzocke!!!!!

Wir hatten folgende Schwierigkeit..., unsere EC Karte hat nicht funktioniert und wir haben uns im vorraus telefonisch informiert ob man kontaktlos per Handy zahlen kann. Sie stimmten dem zu und wir kamen vorbei und fragten nochmal nach.. sicher ist sicher. Wir waren sehr froh ein Restaurant gefunden zu haben wo wir so zahlen konnten in der Nähe. Der Chef bediente uns, und war sehr freundlich und hat uns Gerichte empfohlen. Wirkte sehr nett. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nicht unser Geschmack. Wir werden bei anderen traditionellen Gerichten bleiben. Am Ende hat er uns nach nem absacker gefragt. Fragt uns nach nem einfachen oder nem doppelten wollten nen doppelten und plötzlich, " ja der geht aber nicht aufs haus, nur der normale". Was bringt der Mann uns,... Nen Mango Schnaps und nen Mango Likör, haben wir nie so bestellt! Und was garnicht ging, war das schwarze Haare im Schnaps Glas .. Als die Rechnung kam waren wir sehr erschrocken, was alles berechnet wurde. 1. Vorspeise war in Ordnung 2. Das Brot für 3.50€ pro Person verkauft , wo man sich dachte das gehört zum Essen dazu 3.das essen war preismäßig inordung, bloß dass das essen so würzig war das man sich für extra Geld mehr Reis bestellen müsste 4. Der Schnaps der eigentlich aufs Haus gehen sollte, hat er uns für je 3,50€ verkauft Man war schon gut genervt und wollte weg und bezahlen Handy zeigt das ✅ an, das Gerät hat nicht geladen, im Laden genau das gleiche, obwohl wir das extra vorher nachgefragt haben. Er meinte wir sollten zur nächsten Sparkasse gehen, um 21:30 uhr, und das das klären... . War ja klar die Sparkasse war zu und wir hingen bei den in der Warteschleife um nachzufragen wie wir an Geld kommen. Am Ende haben wir nach 30 min ein Rewe gefunden wo wir für 10€ Einkauf Geld abheben konnten. Wir voller wut wieder zurück zum Restaurant und er dachte wir würden ihm immernoch das Trinkgeld geben Wir sagten ihm was wir alles machen mussten um an das Geld kommen und er so "ihr hättet das auch per Überweisung überweisen können ihr wärt doch bei der Sparkasse" Wir waren echt super wütend wir hätten das übers Handy überweisen können über die Sparkassen App, weil PayPal geht ja angeblich nicht. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant nicht weiter, geht besser weiter!

Today we ate at this nice restaurant. The staff were friendly. Atmosphere was okay. Not crowded. Neat toilets. Food is tasty as well as economical. They made it spicy as per our request. We will definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic Indian food at Köpenik area.

Among all the Indian restaurants I have eaten in berlin, this one makes the chicken curry the worst. I even tasted skin of the chicken. Based on the taste, it is expensive: 10.3 euros for 6 pieces of mediocre quality chicken. I pity my 5 euros as tip.

Wir haben indisches Essen zum 1. Mal probiert. Tolle Erfahrung, wir haben "Reshmi Kebab" und "Chicken Spezial" probiert Alle Gewürze zerplatzen in unserem Mund und machen das Essen eben. Extrem erstaunliche Erfahrung. Muss sagen, indisches Essen ist Liebe.

Wir sind jedes Jahr an Heiligabend mit der gesamten Familie zu Gast im Tandoori und jedesmal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist vielseitig und sehr gut. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und bemüht. Wir gehen jedesmal mit gut gefüllten Bäuchen und der Gewissheit wiederzukommen nach Hause.
