Neu Delhi in Berlin

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the New Delhi. I've been there a few times now, and the food seems to have gotten worse each time. Today I ordered a bell pepper, which, according to the menu, was supposed to be filled with various vegetables. When I got the food, an unidentifiable mixture fell out of the pepper, mostly made up of cabbage (which I can't tolerate and which wasn't mentioned on the menu). The rest of the vegetables weren't recognizable—maybe potatoes and some cheese? The pepper itself was still almost raw. The sauce was okay. Unfortunately, the server didn't understand me either, and my second Yogi tea, which I ordered, never arrived. Sorry, but I won't be back.

I've been going to Neu Delhi in Pankow regularly for some time now and have never been disappointed. The selection of dishes is truly huge – from classic curries to tandoori specialties to many vegetarian options. I try something new every time, and so far, everything has been delicious. I also find the easy accessibility particularly convenient: There's plenty of parking nearby, so you can arrive relaxed. The staff is friendly and even remembers if you visit frequently, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. For me, Neu Delhi has become one of my favorite places for Indian food in Berlin. If you value variety, flavor, and friendly service, you should definitely stop by!

From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The decor isn't fancy, but cozy and in keeping with the style of a traditional Indian restaurant. Food & Taste The food was fresh and well-seasoned. I particularly liked the selection of vegetarian dishes. The vegetable dishes were crisp, with a good blend of spices and herbs. The meat dishes were also tender and flavorful. Value for Money I found the price to be very good. Considering the portion size and quality, it's worth a visit. You get a lot of flavor for your money.

It's clean, a bit louder on the terrace, the waitress is nice, and the chef is a bit lazy. BATURA is 👌. We'll be back.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant because of the staff's poor behavior. Everyone at the restaurant was frustrated with them. The food was kind of good and calmed me down a bit, but because of the impolite staff, I don't want to eat there again.

A truly beautiful restaurant with the option to sit on the terrace and enjoy the atmosphere. The decor is very tasteful and immediately invites you to relax. The food was not only exceptionally delicious, but also fresh and prepared with love. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I had the butter chicken with manho lassi, and it was incredibly delicious! The restrooms were also well-maintained and clean. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and you immediately felt at home. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience—I'd definitely be back.

The worst butter chicken I've ever eaten in my life..

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, the staff didn't know their own menu. Some food was forgotten when ordering, and even when asked, it took a long time for it to be delivered. The first drinks also took a long time (over 30 minutes) from the time of ordering, even though the restaurant was less than half full. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant visit, even though the portions were good and the food was delicious.

The food came quickly and was good. The lighting in the large, back room is too cold white for my taste, which made it feel uncomfortable. I hope the female waitress offers good service: a friendly welcome, eye contact, not making guests feel like they're intruding, and serving the batura with the meal. For lunch in August 2025, dishes cost between €6.50 and €8.50. The evening prices during my visit were a bit too high for my liking (approximately €11 to €17 per dish). I would accept that price more often if the overall experience of food, service, and ambiance was good to very good. For now, I wish the team at New Delhi all the best. Maybe we'll see each other again 😀

Germanised indian food. Staff is polite and good service but understaffed so quite slow

I am really disappointed with the owner! We were sitting outside and I wanted to bring the Mango-Lassi glasses inside and pay for it. There appeared to be a raised area hidden under the grass carpet, which was not visible and I tripped over it. The fall was violent and the pain enormous, there was a large, bleeding blow wound in the middle of my knee. Another guest immediately came to my aid while the owner with some difficulty brought a plaster. My call to mark the hidden raised area, with or without a white stripe, was not heard by him; what do you mean, that carpet has been there for 25 years and no one has ever tripped over it etc. Pfffff, who believes it 🥴 I did not get an apology or any sign of sympathy, but I did get the bill 😲, INCREDIBLY CRUEL! I will consider further steps...

The restaurant is very close to Pankow Town Hall. A bus stop is also very close. The restaurant is very nice and cozy. I sat with my girlfriend next to an aquarium. The food was super delicious and made with love. Very friendly service.

The food was phenomenal. We got our food within minutes, so there was virtually no wait at all. The mango lassi was also incredibly delicious. The only complaint was the waitress. An incredibly unpleasant woman. She made you feel like you were doing everything wrong, very rude, and short-tempered. She also looked at us as if we should just go away and leave her alone. Other than that, we can highly recommend this restaurant.

I've eaten here several times, and it wasn't bad. However, I once ordered naan, which was charred and had a very strange chemical smell. After that, I didn't want to go back. Now that I was in the area, I thought I'd try again, but the food was completely oily, overcooked, and quite unappetizing. It also didn't taste of spices, but of oil. Too bad, I won't be going back.

Pretty average food. We ordered chicken jhalfrezi & biryani. Forget authentic, they just tasted bland. This was perhaps the first time in a long time that we couldn't finish our food. It also took a while to get the food, they seemed to be short on staff.

Apple spritzer wasn't spritzy enough. More like apple juice with a splash of sparkling water. A total juice shop.

It was an amazing experience with a great service .The staff was extremely friendly and warm.The food had authentic Indian as well as Bengali taste in it with very rare dishes like that of Labra and Bohnen which are hardly found in any other restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves food and wants to have a great welcome as well!

We ordered something to take away. Unfortunately, the three different dishes all tasted completely the same. The meat tasted like rubber, the mango like it came from a can. The Mango Lassi was given to us in an empty Spreequell water bottle?!! The service was ok and the lady at the counter was friendly. Nevertheless, we'd rather go somewhere else next time.

The Neu Dheli is not a very nice restaurant, but it has a menu with a huge selection of dishes that we didn't know from other Indian restaurants. Positive: Instead of rice, you can also order batura with a main course. The batura dough was exceptionally thick and tasted very good. The glass of mango lassi was very large and tasted quite good. Negative: All 3 dishes (butter chicken, chicken madras, duck with mango (in pieces and not as a mango sauce) tasted ok. Nothing special. The dough for the Garlic Naan was too thick and therefore very tough. The restaurant's interior wasn't nice or comfortable either. Conclusion: It's a good thing we had a Neotaste voucher, otherwise we would have been annoyed.

The staff is friendly, the shop is very sparsely visited, so you have peace and quiet and the selection is appropriate. Generous vegetarian options and delicious long drinks!!

The waiter was terrible we specifically mentioned roti for one dish and rice for one. He noted it down as well but blamed telling we never said it. They gave only one portion of rice for both curries and the waiter demanded to give 5 stars before even eating. We had NeoTaste offer and the application crashed and he was just waiting like you have to give 5 stars. Very unprofessional. Although food had different combinations and varieties than regular Indian restaurants the behaviour was a great mood killer

It was Tuesday around 21:15 when we left Berlin Mitte with the tram. Realizing most restaurants including the one we wanted to eat at were closing at 22:00. So I googled and found Neu Delhi near Burgerpark Pankow where our Airbnb was located. Open till 23:00, perfect we thought. When we got out of the tram it had started to rain, a cloudburst and a real downpour. When we entered the restaurant just before 22:00 completely soaked I asked if we could still order in. Yes no problem. So we sat down. There were 3 other people in the restaurant of which 2 soon left. They took our order. Brought our drinks. And then we waited, and waited, and waited. For more than one hour. Several people of their staff looked at us from time to time. Nobody came to us asking if we wanted another drink or explained why it took that long. When I asked for another drink and asked if we needed to wait much longer we were told they FORGOT to give the order to the kitchen staff. Meanwhile we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. Realizing we didn't have much other options we decided to wait a bit longer. Normally in other circumstances I would have left already. The Palak paneer was okay, the cheese wasn't stir fried in any herbs. The lamb biryani was delicious. But we will never ever visit this restaurant again. The waiting time and horrible service. They just said sorry. Didn't even offer us one drink on the house as small compensation for forgetting the only 2 customers they had waiting in their restaurant. It was once but never again. Normally I take pictures off the food to post but they didn't earn this. So I deleted them.

In my opinion, New Delhi is the best Indian restaurant in Berlin. The food is fantastic. No matter what we ordered, we have never been disappointed. Cocktails are also very good and there is something for everyone. The employees are really friendly and there is nothing to complain about when it comes to the prices. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here.

As soon as you enter the restaurant you will be greeted with beaming eyes, joyful and polite. The ambience almost seduces you to India. There is a very cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. You could spend hours there after eating. The service staff doesn't forget you, observes your guests and asks if you are satisfied. The price/performance ratio is optimally adjusted. Best service very humble customer service

We were there for lunch (Mon-Fri: 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) and had positive experiences. There is a good selection of tasty dishes available at €7 each! We tried the two Panner dishes on the lunch menu. These were flavorful and plentiful! The service was very friendly and unobtrusive! Card payments are also possible without any problems. New Delhi is an absolute recommendation!!!

Cosy Bengali restaurant with good food, friendly staff and quite a few recipes that aren't quite "standard" fare. Regional emphasis. Tables for dining outside opposite Bürgerpark in Pankow. Big main road, but still worth a look in. I'm there nearly every time I'm in Berlin.

Even if the atmosphere isn't the best, the food is GREAT. The service may be a little slow but the staff is friendly. The wait usually isn't that long since the place isn't really busy, but the wait is always worth.

My wife and I are from Australia and are in Berlin for one month. The food at Neu Delhi wad as good as any Indian cuisine we've had anywhere. The staff were friendly and very professional. We will definately be going back several times before leaving Berlin!

Don't let the restaurant's simple interior fool you because the food here is incredibly delicious. It is the most delicious Indian food I have ever tasted. The staff is friendly. I have already tried palak paneer, samosa, fish and crab soup and some meat dishes. This food has the best combination of spices for my taste. I've been eating the fish soup here for a week and it's still very tasty.

It's so expensive & the taste of the food was not good at all. You will get more cheap food in better quality than this restaurant around Berlin

We ordered Palak Paneer and let me know it was a normal saag but not Palak Paneer. Being using the name Delhi ( North India) expectation is usually high but spinach was not blended neither it had that authentic taste. It is not necessary that it needs to be spicy but it lacked that taste and whole Garlic add ons. Even spinach had that boiled average taste and curry was that thick. Please do not use Indian name and give us this quality.

Rice was cooked well but that is the only positive thing about the food. All other dishes were really bland and without any flavour whatsoever, Indian cuisine should be full of flavour from the amazing spices that are used and this was so far from that. Maybe they cater for the local palette and tone the heat and spices down, which I find a real shame. Berlin really needs more authentic Indian restaurants and this just tasted like curry from a jar.

Essen war sehr gut. Service war sehr nett. Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dennoch eine Empfehlung.

Habe Tagesgericht bestellt, Lamm mit beilage und Reis, Geschmack sehr gut und Empfehlenswert. Ambiente nicht gerade berauschend, einfach, draußen Straßenverkehr(ziemlich laut) Preis/Leistung in Ordnung.

Das Essen ist okay und hat ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Man sollte aber nicht mit dem Vorsatz hingehen, tatsächlich etwas essen zu wollen und damit zu rechnen, dass man auch etwas zu essen bekommt. Sofern schon andere Gäste da sind, kommt der Kellner etwa einmal die Stunde vorbei und wenn man dann mit Händen und Füßen winkt, wird man auch bedient. Wenn man aber in einem Bereich des Restaurants sitzt, wo sich noch keine anderen Gäste aufhalten (z.B. im Außenbereich), liegt die Wahrscheinlichkeit bei nahezu null, dass sich jemals jemand blicken lässt. Von daher sollte man sein Essen vorsichtshalber selbst mitbringen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, wundere mich warum der Laden so underrated ist. Angemessene Preis und guter Service. Habe ein Butter Chicken mit Bhatura bestellt, war sehr lecker und der Mango-Lassi war auch gut 👍 Gerne wieder.

Mein Eindruck ist, dass seit das neue Schild angebracht wurde das Essen deutlich besser geworden ist. Bei meinen letzten Besuchen war sehr zufrieden. Weiter so, New-Delhi-Crew

Reis mit Hähnchen in Currysosse.Geschmack der Soße war gut aber warum Pressfleisch? Schmeckt nicht und wie Gummi ,einfach eklig.Für 12.50 Euro da sollte doch das wenig Fleisch was in der Schüssel ist wenigstens Hähnchen sein oder 2 Euro mehr nehmen.ich kann und gehe nicht jeden Tag essen.aber dann sollte es wenigstens kein Reinfall werden.Bin Enttäuscht

Kleiner Eckladen, mit einer typischen Indischen Küche. Kellner super Lieb und Aufmerksam. Essen immer Frisch, Zutaten Frisch und gut gewürzt. Ambiente könnte etwas gemütlicher sein / oder Mal renoviert werden .... Parken nach 18:00 direkt vor der Tür auf der Straße möglich - Tagesüber eher schwierig/ Notfalls den Lieferservice nutzen als Alternative...

A comida é deliciosa e as porções tem um bom tamanho. As melhores samosas que já comi! O shake de coco também é muito bom.

Ein Mango-Eis... ohne Mango... oder eine Art zerbröselter Parfait in Kupferbechern.... Seltsame Konsistenz und Geschmack. Leider ein Schritt rückwärts, und 2 Sterne weniger..

Das Essen war super und das Personal war so freundlich sie haben mir jenden Wunsch erfüllt ich etfele es nur weiter und auf jeden Fall wieder komme immer wieder

Hello, I am a vegetarian and i ordered a soup and a main course with flat bread which are all vegetarian. They sent me all chicken items and the courier person didnt even bothered to call me and then started complaining that i didnt document my number properly, but its the same number i had. I saw my food immediately after he went and none of the items are something that can be consumable for me, because of high butter content and meat involved. I then called the restaurant asking what happened and they responded its the couriers fault and told me i rather eat the meat than making a deal about it even after telling them i cannot consume it. When i asked them i cannot eat it again, they told me not to talk to them now because they are very busy as a restaurant and told me to call later. Me and my guest had to wait another hour to get our dinner from another restaurant. Im disgusting by the customer service of the restaurant and the sheer arrogant tone in which the person spoke to me. Its a waste of money on the food and also it pained me to see that i had to throw it away. Money doesnt grow on trees. Edit: the restaurant called to apologize later after I wrote this review, but the damage has already been done. I wanted to add this edit to maintain the honesty of my review.

I had a very good dinner at neu Delhi. Service was so pleasing. I ordered a butter chicken and mango lassi, it was finger licking good.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Amazing staff and excellent service and it was fast. We had chola bhatura and it was the best thing I’ve had in a loooong while!! Absolutely recommend to anyone.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier und vermutlich auch das letzte Mal. Die Kellnerin konnte sich die Bestellung zwar ohne Aufschreiben gut merken und war recht freundlich, aber die Teller und Besteck wurden uns als Stapel auf den Tisch gelegt, die mussten wir selber verteilen. Nach dem Essen mussten wir sie leider erst heranwinken, damit der Tisch abgeräumt wurde und ich einen Espresso und die Rechnung bestellen konnte. Dann kam nur der Espresso. Die Rechnung haben wir schlussendlich nach einer Weile warten beim Gehen am Tresen beglichen. Der Yogi-Tee schmeckte recht wässrig. Die Mango-Koriander-Suppe schmeckte gut und nach Koriander, aber nicht nach Mango. Das Essen mit dem bengalischen roten Spinat schmeckte ganz gut, kühlte in der Schale aber recht schnell ab (sind die nicht vorgewärmt?). Wie andere schon bemängelten war auch bei uns der Tisch etwas klebrig.

Ordered one butter chicken, one mutton curry and one chillie chicken. Came home and opened the food. In the bag 3x chicken Curry... In my opinion chillie chicken is dry chicken in onion and chilllie fried.. when I called the lady said it's a chicken curry according to this restaurant, apparently beef curry is also chicken curry.. ended up paying €30 for not what I ordered... Nevery again!!! Taste was not better either...

Das Essen ist immer lecker, ich geh gern dort hin. Der Service ist nett und unkompliziert, die Preise sind angemessen! Deshalb 5 Sterne meinerseits.

Ich hatte in der Nähe eine Weiterbildung und brauchte ein schnelles Essen. Das Essen hat geschmeckt - durchschnittlich. Kenne bessere indische Restaurants. Allgemein lädt das Restaurant nicht zum Verweilen ein. Es wirkt alles sehr lieblos und schmuddelig. Das Personal war freundlich.

Ein Stern ist noch zu viel..Nie wieder!! Schlechter Service, dreckige Tische. Geschmackloses Essen, lieblos angerichtet..Die Liste könnte man unendlich fortführen..einmal und nie wieder.

Essen etwas neutral, Tische leicht klebrig, werde hier wohl eher nicht mehr essen.
