Tamatsu SPO in Sankt Peter-Ording

We were there for my birthday, which we had mentioned when we made our reservation. The table wasn't particularly set up or anything. The sushi à la chef for €45 was okay, but really nothing special for the price. My husband didn't particularly like the bowl; the sauce was just plain old. I didn't like it either. We wouldn't go back; it's not worth the money. The service, however, was very friendly and attentive!

A fantastic location with excellent cuisine and very friendly service. We had a wonderful evening here with a meal that we will remember for a long time. Tamatsu in SPO is something special in the midst of the gastronomic monotony.

The Tamatsu only opened in St. Peter-Ording in 2022. The food is very good. The staff very friendly. The sushi is freshly prepared, so it can take a while, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Quite the opposite.

We were soooo disappointed. We've been to Tamatsu in Heiligenhafen so many times because we like the miso soup and the vegetarian sushi. Unfortunately, the soup couldn't be compared to what we know, and the roll was also rather small and on a limp bed of lettuce. The service was very nice and the table upstairs was great. But the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. We probably won't come back.

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter, tolles Essen und hervorragende Bedienung. Bei der Anmeldung hatten wir unsere beiden kleinen Hunde mit angegeben und hatten dann einen Tisch am Rand bekommen, wo unsere Hunde sich wohlfühlten und sofort einen Napf mit Wasser bekamen.

Super lecker, ganz köstlich, tolles Team, mega Service! Nur zu empfehlen, wir hatten einen herrlichen Abend zu viert! Draussen mit einem eiskalten Cremount gestartet!! Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß! Danke ☺️

Gutes Essen, leider mMn völlig überteuert, Wartezeit vor der Tür trotz Reservierung, drinnen sehr voll und wuselig, eng möbliert und unruhig, da die Tische nach dem Bezahlen sofort für die nächsten eindeckt wurden, hier wurden zackig viele Durchgänge pro Tisch durchgeschleust, daher für uns nicht entspannt und gemütlich, Service bemüht freundlich, wir waren etwas enttäuscht und nicht satt trotz Rechnung von knapp 100 € (1 Vorspeise, 1 Sushiroll, 1 Reis/Fleischgericht, 1 Flasche Wein)

We were there for my mother's birthday. We were greeted very friendly, congratulated and the table was beautifully decorated. The service including advice with wine accompaniment was very competent and very friendly. The food is fantastically tasty, freshly prepared and of high quality The ambience is in a wooden design, rather modern, but cozy and relaxed. We really enjoyed the stay and the food.

The sushi is very tasty, but simply too expensive. The “plate dishes” are outrageously small and far too expensive, and they don’t blow you away in terms of taste either.

My dish was ordered to be picked up. When I got home it was then discovered that it was incomplete. So 32 euros for some beef and beans is out of proportion, sorry

We had a successful end to our SPO trip at Tamatsu. It's not quite as stylish as the Büsum branch, but the excellent service from the extremely friendly staff easily makes up for it. We were once again treated to the best sushi, which you won't find anywhere else. Absolutely fantastic. Many thanks to the entire team, but especially to the magical waitress who rocked the Sunday evening on her own.

Attentive and very friendly service. Our meal (starter seaweed soup, main course Tashi's grill plate for 2 people and dessert affogato) was very tasty. Price-performance ratio is right. Great wine selection. Overall, highly recommended!

We ate at Tamatsu SPO a few days ago and were very impressed with the sushi. Big compliments to the kitchen! Unfortunately, the waitress was alone that evening, which meant that the service suffered somewhat. It took a total of an hour and a half until we had our food - but at least the wait was worth it. We would definitely come back again if we are in SPO again. 😊

Die Karte bietet viel, jedoch darf man auch gerne „Wünsche“ äußern und sich dann genussgeil freuen, da der Gaumen entzückt und ekstatisch sich fühlt. Hier mundet alles, ein schöner Genusstempel im Ort🤩 Leckerschmecker eben.

We were here shortly after it opened over two years ago and were thrilled. Today we went back to St. Peter Ording and visited the Tamatsu again. It is still a very nice sushi-Asian restaurant in a nice atmosphere in the middle of SPO. Very friendly staff, good value for money. If you have something to complain about here, you should visit other places, such as all you can eat for a cheap flat rate. Taste is certainly a matter of taste. However, the negative, sometimes insulting reviews are absolutely not appropriate here. We'll definitely be back.

Wir waren zu dritt im Tamatsu SPO und haben verschiedene Spezial- und Inside-Out-Rolls, sowie die Teigtaschen in der Hauptspeisenvariante (Momi oder Mimo 😎 heißen die hier). Der Kritikpunkt vorweg, das bleibt aber das Einzige, der unaufmerksame Service. Dieser war ein bisschen langsam und eben nicht aufmerksam genug um mal nach einem Getränk bzw. neuen Getränk zu fragen. Die Gerichte waren klasse, super zusammengestellt in der Textur und im Geschmack, so muss das bei den Rolls auch sein. Man bekommt 8 Stück, wobei eine Portion ein bisschen wenig bei gutem Hunger und zwei ein bisschen viel sind, also am Besten zusammen bestellen und teilen, dann ist auch die Vielfalt größer . Auch die Teigtaschen waren richtig, richtig lecker. Als Nachspeise gönnten wir uns noch eine Tonka-Creme-Brulee, samt Eis und Früchten, die auch klasse geschmeckt hat. zu dritt waren wir mit Getränken dann bei rund 150 Euro.

Wir waren mit 2 Personen und einem Hund das erste Mal im Tamatzu essen und waren hellauf begeistert. Das Restaurant einfach wunderschön und das Essen hervorragend. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns wirklich rundum wohl gefühlt. Seeeehr empfehlenswert!!!

Service richtig schlecht, zwei Servicelräfte Vorort. Vorarbeiterin gut und bemüht, die Tresenkraft hätte lieber zuhause bleiben sollen. So eine schlechte Servicekraft habe ich noch nie erlebt. Stellt Getränke am Anfang des Tisches und wor müssen selber verteilen. Nichtmal ein bitte war es ihr wert. Wir waren nun in 3 Tamatsus und in diesem kommen wir so schnell nicht wieder

Ich hatte heute das Vergnügen, im Tamatsu in Sankt Peter-Ording zu essen, und ich bin absolut begeistert! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fiel mir die moderne, aber gemütliche Atmosphäre auf, die einen sofort willkommen heißt. Der Service war äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich – wir wurden mit einem Lächeln begrüßt und während des gesamten Abends hervorragend betreut. Das Essen war ein echtes Highlight. Die Sushi-Variationen waren nicht nur optisch ein Kunstwerk, sondern auch geschmacklich ein Traum – die Frische der Zutaten war deutlich spürbar. Auch die warmen Gerichte, die wir probiert haben, waren perfekt zubereitet und voller Aromen. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Kombination aus Sushi und asiatischen Tapas, die wirklich außergewöhnlich war. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Liebe zum Detail: von der stilvollen Präsentation der Gerichte bis hin zur sorgfältigen Auswahl der Zutaten merkt man, dass hier echte Profis am Werk sind. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen und kann das Tamatsu jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der in Sankt Peter-Ording ein erstklassiges kulinarisches Erlebnis sucht!

Wir haben hier den Silvesterabend mit einem außerordentlichem und abwechslungsreichen Essen in diversen Gängen verbracht. Service, Ambiente und Qualität hätten für uns nicht besser sein können. Ein tolles fröhliches Team hat uns perfekt in das neue Jahr geführt.

Essen und Service super wie immer, aber nachdem am Nachbartisch der Hot Pott aktiviert wurde, wurde es von der Luft unerträglich! Zum Glück, hatten wir schon gegessen, dann aber auf ein gemütliches Dessert verzichtet und sind gegangen! Die Kleidung und Haare rochen wie Imbissbude! Vorschlag, nur im Extra Raum oder Draußen anbieten! Wir kommen aber trotzdem immer gerne wieder👍🏼👍🏼

Enttäuscht, verärgert und hungrig verliessen wir nach 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit auf unser Essen das Lokal. Auch zu diesem Zeitpunkt war noch immer kein Essen in Sicht. Auf mehrfaches Nachfragen wurde einfach nicht reagiert. So etwas haben wir noch nirgendwo erlebt. Wirklich sehr schade um den Abend.

We wanted to celebrate my birthday at Tamatsu and had reserved a table via OpenTable. When we arrived, we were offered two high tables out of 6 available tables - the others were reserved 🤔...one table was set for a birthday. My daughter has to sit in a high chair and can't reach her food at a high table - normal! We were then told they were sorry but they didn't have another table for us. We left. When we passed Tamatsu 2 hours later, the birthday table was still empty and set. I have rarely seen worse service. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food - but I would like to...

Because of the mosquito plague, we sat indoors right near where the food was being prepared. The order was taken quickly and the food came relatively quickly. The taste of the food was ok but not great and certainly not worth the price. Unfortunately, we witnessed an argument/fight among the service staff up close, which was very inappropriate and unpleasant. Of course only two of the people could do something about it, but something like that just doesn't belong in the guest area... we wouldn't come back again. For the money you can get better ambience and food elsewhere.

Overall, the price/performance ratio is unfortunately no longer suitable here. I've never seen such expensive sushi anywhere else. It tastes really good but not that much better as it is more expensive compared to other stores. The portion of the children's meal (mashed potatoes with fish fingers) was significantly smaller compared to our last visit to Büsum. The truffle pasta tasted okay, but the portion was quite small (for 28€) and there was no salt and pepper (luckily the salt and pepper were put on the table in advance with the note that it was for the pasta) . Unfortunately we were disappointed and will probably not come back.

We had the chicken peanut dish and are still wondering why it was so expensive... It was tasty but absolutely not justified at the price... In addition, the staff has no idea what beer they have or what dish is on the menu... In the end, 3 drinks for 2 people 80 euros... We won't do that again

Über das Essen und seine Qualität kann man nicht meckern: interessante Speisen, die lecker gewürzt sind.Auch die Optik stimmt. Service passt, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Nicht akzeptabel ist jedoch die lange Wartezeit auf den Hauptgang. Das führt leider zu einem deutlichen Abwertung.

Spontaner Besuch mit Freunden. Das Essen war in Ordnung, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Satt der georderten Flasche Wein, wurde kommentarlos eine 6 Jahre alte Alternative aus Restbeständen gebracht. Erst auf unseren Hinweis sagte die Kellnerin, dass der bestellte Wein nicht auf Lager sei. Die höfliche Anfrage nach einem Kissen wegen Restnässe auf einem Stuhl wurde leider ignoriert. Beim bezahlen mussten wir dann feststellen, dass eine nicht georderte Flasche Wasser auf der Rechnung stand. Das geht eindeutig besser.

Immer wieder toll - lecker Essen und super Service

High prices and low quality of service and food When we arrived it took longer to even be noticed. After a brief confusion from the waiters, they said no reservations were being accepted outside. Ok, so that means you can just sit down anywhere outside, no, not that either. Ok after a bit of back and forth we got a table. Then there were food and drink menus. These were very dirty and therefore not really attractive. We were able to place the drink order quickly and they arrived in a reasonable time. We were able to order the food shortly afterwards. 2x starter, 1x children's meal and 3x main course. For the starter, the Monos, we asked the waiter if there were three different flavors, this was confirmed. We waited 1.5 hours for the children's meal and the starters. Then a starter was forgotten. This was never delivered. With the monos we had the feeling that there was always the same filling in them, even though we had asked in advance whether there were different fillings. When I asked again, the answer was revised and it said no, all in one filling. So sometimes the waiters know the menu and sometimes they don't. The main courses arrived after a wait of over 2 hours. Then at first only two main courses came. The third guest was then addressed with the words: You hadn't ordered anything. We then explained that everyone had ordered a main course. The waiter then left the table to sort it out. Unfortunately there was no more feedback. Only when I asked again was there information that the missing dish would be delivered later. From my point of view, they were not very convincing in terms of taste. But that is very subjective. But baked chicken was swimming in a bowl full of sauce, sushi rice had a very neutral taste and the beef dish was more of an appetizer in size. The forgotten starter then reappeared on the bill. Our waiter was surprised that we didn't have it, even though he hadn't brought it to us. Well, you couldn't really handle the criticism either. The waiter left the table without a word, so the guest had to go behind to clarify the matter. Now you might think the restaurant was full, no it wasn't at the time. And problems such as incorrect items on the bill or food delivered late or not at all were not isolated cases for us. In fact, we have experienced various types of problems with other tables. All in all, not a satisfactory performance for this price level. Anyone who calls for such prices must also deliver, from the greeting to the farewell. But in a tourist place you don't have to perform hard, even if each tourist only comes once, in the end it's still enough!

We were at Tamatsu SPO on August 15, 2024 and can only absolutely recommend the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Questions about celiac disease and other allergies were responded to very competently and the food was individually adapted. Enjoyment without regret at the highest level. Thanks to the kitchen team and the first-class service.

Unfortunately, the service from the staff is not that good. For my main course I had the main course sized Momo mix for €25.50. I can't recommend this to anyone. There were 8 small dumplings with some filling. When I asked the waitress if everything was OK, I told the waiter that I wasn't happy with the portion size. I got the answer that there were 4 starters and 8 main courses… The staff could have pointed out that it was just a double starter and how much it was I had a starter and this main course. For over 35 euros for food, I wasn't even remotely full.

Service war nicht gerade zügig, wir haben lange auf Getränke und den Hauptgang gewartet. Sushi kam mit viel Mayonnaise und Fischrogen oben drauf, ungewohnt und wenig authentisch. Schmeckte insgesamt sehr cremig und wenig aromatisch. Wasabi schmeckte nach Sahne-Meerrettich. Die Pommes waren innovativ und gut (frittierte Kartoffelscheiben) aber sehr salzig. Es war der zweite Besuch mit dem gleichen Ergebnis wie beim ersten Mal. Wir haben entschieden nicht wieder hinzugehen.

In short: great evening and very tasty!! We made a reservation online the day before and noted that we had our large dog with us and didn't want to sit in the hustle and bustle. We then sat on the upper floor and had a nice spot despite there being a table of 10 next door. Our dog was also very welcome. That was a big plus point. The sushi was simply fantastic. The Surf & Turf Roll is definitely in first place 😊 Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the Affogato as it was overloaded with cream and the espresso was already cold. We can't understand the bad reviews about the service and would be happy to come back!

This evening we reserved a table for 8 people at the tamatsu SPO and actually wanted to spend a nice evening there. It wasn't our first time there, but what we experienced tonight was a complete disaster. For a restaurant like this, which is not the cheapest, I expect to be treated accordingly. It's not just the drinks that have a wait of 1 hour, but the food didn't work either. They wanted to serve us the main course before the starter and the starter after. We asked that the starter be brought first and then the main course. After another half hour the starter came and after another hour the main course actually came. The food was good, the staff was totally cheeky, everyone blamed each other, no one felt responsible for anything. Wrong drinks were served, the quantities were not correct, it was like rolling the dice. We then waited over an hour for the bill because unfortunately the staff couldn't handle that either. At some point the head of the house stood in front of us with his arms crossed and couldn't explain himself. The older waitress then wished us a lot of fun at MC Donald for everything else? What a nice statement. We were there with 8 people, we each paid between 80 and 110 euros per couple for this extremely friendly and completely out of place service. Our conclusion: we will not come again and advise other guests to go to another restaurant. It's a shame 4 hours of waiting and hassle.

Wir, vierköpfige Familie, waren am 4. August 2024 im Tamatsu SPO. Fazit: absoluter Reinfall und nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Nach dem Platzieren mussten wir 20 Minuten warten, bis wir die Speisekarten erhielten. Die Vorspeisen Kimchi, Humus und Edamame kamen dann ca. 30 Minuten nach der Bestellung und waren in Ordnung. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten Wartezeit kam dann der Hauptgang. Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Currys ein Chicken Teriyaki und eine Lachsbowl bestellt. Die beiden Currys waren eher geschmacklose Suppen das Teriyaki war extrem gesüßt und hatte wie die Currys außer dem Namen nichts mit dem eigentlichen Gericht zu tun. Die absolute Höhepunkt war, dass der zu den Gerichten gereichte Reis der für die Sushis verwendete Klebreis war. Die Gerichte waren kaum genießbar und die Schüsseln wurden nahezu voll wieder abgeräumt. Auf die obligatorische Frage, ob alles in Ordnung war, monierten wir die Qualität der Gerichte und man wollte in der Küche Bescheid sagen. Das war es dann, nie wieder. Der ganze Abend war durch das schlechte Essen verdorben.

Wir hatten nicht reserviert und doch bekamen wir noch einen Tisch, das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, obwohl alle Tische belegt waren und man etwas auf sein Essen warten musste. Das Essen ist lecker und variantenreich, für jeden ist was dabei, auch für Kinder, die kein Sushi mögen, den Nachtisch Creme Brûlee können wir empfehlen.

Ordered a table early. Great space right on the doorstep, so we had a bar atmosphere and fresh air with sunshine. All the staff were friendly with great recommendations!! Had sushi (extremely delicious) and red Thai curry chicken. Also edamame first and a momo as a starter. Maybe half a star deducted because 15.50 euros for 4 pieces is just borderline. Overall, more than recommended!!

Food is excellent, but waiting close to 2 hours for your food is not. There kitchen is too small to handle the number of people they seat. Shame.

Mega We had reserved online and left a note saying that we didn't want to sit in the hustle and bustle because we had a large dog with us. When we got there, an employee took us to the upper floor because we were almost alone there. The dog was warmly welcomed and given treats and a bowl of water (of course we were asked beforehand). They had already gained a big plus point with us here. The food itself was simply legendary 😋 For starters we had hummus, spinach salad, beef momo and crispy nigiri. Naan bread was served with it. Already here our expectations were completely exceeded. Not too much and not too little - and the taste... simply fantastic. For the main course we had the sushi platter a la chef, hot wok beef and veggie tempura poke. What can I say 🤷🏻‍♀️ it was excellent! Everything, but really everything, left nothing to be desired. We had never eaten something so delicious. A successful evening. The staff is super friendly, the kitchen has prepared the food perfectly and the atmosphere is very cozy. At the end there were cocktails. I had a special request and asked for a Long Island. This was also fulfilled for me. Only here I have to say that it wasn't that tasty 🙈 But that wasn't really a bad thing because it was a "special request". The remaining cocktails were excellent. In my opinion, the prices on the menu are worth every penny. Everything is super fresh and you can just taste it. Conclusion - always happy to recommend.

On Saturday evening we waited 1 hour for the food, we understood because it was very full. The beef fillet 200g, with broccoli and mashed potatoes was delicious. Unfortunately the price was too high for this small portion, it was disappointing. The truffle fries (friends had ordered) were also served in a bowl with a double bottom, so the quantity was deceptive, which is also unpleasant.

Mit Sicherheit nicht das günstigste Restaurant in SPO aber das ist auch sicher nicht der Anspruch der Betreiber, denn dieses Lokal ist mit weitem Abstand das beste in der Umgebung. Der Service ist auf Zack und sehr aufmerksam, nachdem wir unsere Getränke bekommen haben wurde unser Hund mit Wasser und Leckerchen versorgt. Das Essen braucht seine Zeit bis es am Tisch ist aber jede Minute warten hat sich gelohnt und würde mit dem besten Essen des Urlaubs belohnt. Ganz großes Kino!

The food is excellent - every calorie is worth it!!!

We had reserved a table a few days in advance for 7 p.m. in the evening, outside if the weather was good. The last free table for two people was right at the back on the side in the shade right next to the open kitchen window. So we were forced to sit inside in the beautiful evening sun. The food was quite tasty, but my momos were a joke: 8 small bags for 26 euros! And the so-called traditional sauces with it were a hotter (tomato-chili?) sauce and a chili mayonnaise that didn't go well with the momos at all and was also on my husband's Tuna Poké Bowl (which, by the way, was priced at 28, 50 euros contained too much rice and not enough other ingredients, but the quantity was okay). Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right. We were pretty disappointed. However, our service person was very friendly and attentive.

Das Esser war sehr gut, leider mussten wir sehr lange auf den Hauptgang warten. Die Bedienung war dabei sehr nett und hat sich offen dafür entschuldigt.
