Böhler Landgang in Sankt Peter-Ording

We spent a weekend in St. Peter-Ording and stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant online. We ended up going there twice in a row. Everything was simply superb, and we were thrilled! The first time, we started with pumpkin soup, followed by cod with mashed potatoes, green beans, and pear chutney, and finished with the chocolate cake for dessert. The second time, we had the pumpkin soup again, lamb steak, and schnitzel Holsteiner style. The food was outstanding both times, with high-quality ingredients and absolutely delicious! And each dish was a work of art 😍 The service was also excellent, and you could tell that a seasoned hotel professional was at work. A visit to "Böhler Landgang" is highly recommended 👍🏻

On the occasion of our annual trip to St. Peter-Ording (SPO) for our wedding anniversary, we dined at Böhler Landgang for the first time this year. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed, the ambiance very appealing, and the service staff very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, as was the dessert. The well-chosen wine paired perfectly with the meal. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you for a lovely evening. After a year, we returned to St. Peter-Ording (SPO) for our wedding anniversary. We were once again very satisfied and will certainly be back next year.

We went to the Böhler Landgang restaurant with visitors from Bavaria, and we hadn't been there before. It was very close to the campsite where our visitors were staying, so we decided to give it a try. The ambiance had already appealed to us from the pictures, and it was just as lovely in person. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the restaurant wasn't very busy yet, so there were plenty of tables available. We received our drinks promptly and didn't have to wait long for our food, even though we had some special requests. The food was delicious and made us want dessert, and we weren't disappointed there either. The staff checked on us regularly throughout the meal, asking if we needed anything and if everything was alright – even though the restaurant was getting full. We were completely satisfied and can now recommend the Böhler Landgang to all our guests in St. Peter-Ording, and we will certainly be back ourselves.

A top location in Böhl. A small but very well-curated menu with something for everyone. My highlights so far (besides the soup of the day): the wolffish and the lamb steak. Pricey, but every cent is well spent!

We were on vacation in SPO. We quickly googled and then called the restaurant, unfortunately couldn't reach anyone, BUT a surprise followed immediately: A call back (extremely rare these days); we briefly asked if a table was available that evening, and it was fine! Four of us arrived on time that evening, received a very friendly welcome, and the atmosphere was very tidy and clean. We quickly glanced at the menu and ordered (our daughter had a bad headache, which the waitress (manager?) had even noticed and offered us a painkiller). The food arrived after a really short wait and completely won us over. The taste was amazing! All in all, an absolute recommendation! Very friendly and attentive staff, a great atmosphere, and first-class food!

Everything was excellent. Delicious fish, including the cod, the salmon with tagliatelle, and the wolffish. And the best part: the service from Guido and his team. We'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant with excellent quality, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. We had sea bass, etc., for around €42, very tasty! We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside, but otherwise, it's best to reserve by phone only. Card payments accepted

Ate there again after a year. We've always been satisfied so far. And this starter was amazing again. However, everything was spoiled by the tough and completely overcooked lamb. And even when we pointed out why they chose the nasty kind, they just said they'd pass it on to the kitchen. No apology. Not a shred of remorse. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the lamb for €35. They don't know how to handle this product. Instead of being juicy and pink, it's served completely dry and tough. When we asked about the black lamb, they pointed to a special spice. In future, please just cook the lamb the way it's supposed to be. For that kind of money, you expect top quality. Just like the starter! What a shame, that unfortunately rules out a visit.

We were on vacation in SPO-Böhl and found the shore excursion very close to our home. Getting a table without a reservation (during the off-season) was no problem at all. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had Labskaus, which is becoming increasingly rare. I love these traditional dishes! And with that, two rollmops, some pickled cucumbers, and a delicious beer—what more could you want?

It was the first time in 6 years that the food and service in and around Sankt Peter Ording truly put a smile on my face. The service was always extremely friendly but not intrusive, and questions were answered honestly and competently with a smile 👌👑 The food was also prepared and served with absolutely top-notch quality. The portions were more than sufficient. Admittedly, the prices made our eyes twitch a little 😉 But we tell ourselves, "I'd rather pay a € more and leave the restaurant happy than leave hungry and frustrated!" !!! Simple but really good... The restaurant looks great from the outside. I tried calling and actually got a call back, so we were able to eat there today. A very friendly welcome, super attentive staff, and truly delicious food. Excellent value for money, too! I'm more than full. A special highlight for us: a superbly excellent menu! Even those with allergies feel welcome! Exemplary!

Nice ambiance. Super friendly staff. Unfortunately, some of the food was convenience food. The potato pancakes were only lukewarm. And the Wiener Schnitzel didn't appear to be fried, but unfortunately, was over-fried, which is typical for frozen food.

Unfortunately not. We'd been here a while ago. So we thought we could eat there again. Then we were very rudely turned away by the cellar attendant, who told us that only tables were available outside. If he'd been nicer or more polite, we would have eaten outside. Please take care of your staff!!

Great place with excellent service. It's amazing how these two run the place, especially when it's packed inside and out. So be patient during busy times – but we're on vacation, so it's not a problem. Gluten-free isn't a problem, by the way.

July 25, 2025 The two of us came here for dinner. I had beef fillet with truffled French fries and fried broccoli. It was exquisitely prepared and incredibly delicious! For me, one of THE top restaurants in St. Peter-Ording! 10 out of 10!

man kann sich darauf verlassen- der reservierte Tisch wird zur Verfügung stehen. Manchmal ist auch spontane Flexibilität erforderlich und wird auch geboten. Tolle Scholle mit Schwenkkartoffeln und super Hüftsteak vom Lamm. Und wenn beim nächsten Besuch zur Bestellung des zweiten alkoholfreien Pils von Flensburger auch ein frisches Glas kommt, dann wird es auch 5 Punkte geben.

Im Böhler Landgang waren wir während einem 1wöchigen Aufenthalt in der Böhler Brise leider nur 2mal. Es hätten viel mehr Besuche sein sollen, aber wir kommen sicher wieder ! Das Speisenangebot ist perfekt, wird nur noch getoppt von der Zubereitung und vorallem dem Service ! Der Service ist äusserst kompetent, aufmerksam und professionell – danke Guido ! Alles wurde mit grösstem Genuss verspeist – siehe Bilder. Auf der Terrasse sitzen geht immer, ggf. mit Heizung ! Abschliessend ein Wellerman`s – was will man mehr. Danke vielmals – bis zum nächstenmal !!!

Very well-kept restaurant, friendly and attentive staff. The Captain's Plate and the plaice are particularly recommended. The Wiener Schnitzel and Labskaus also looked very good, from what we could see. Something very unusual: at the next table, the guest (Junior) didn't want any side dishes with his steak. Not that his special request cost anything extra, he even got dessert on the house.

This was our first time at Böhler Landgang and we were impressed as soon as we entered the restaurant. It's very modern and beautifully decorated, and we received a very friendly welcome from the owner. We ordered schnitzel and pork fillet, and it was served promptly. It was excellently prepared and very tasty. Since everything went so well, we immediately reserved a table for four for the following Saturday. Sonntagabends nach einem sehr langen und ausgiebigen Spaziergang durch SPO hinaus nach Böhl, bin ich auf dem Rückweg zufällig am Böhler Landgang vorbeigekommen. Das Restaurant war geöffnet, ein paar Gäste und reichlich leere Tische konnte ich entdecken. Hunger und Durst waren groß, so öffnete ich die Tür und wartete am Eingang. Der Kellner war einen Augenblick später bereits zur Begrüßung da und entschuldigte sich, da er alleine den Service mache und der Chef in der Küche mit den Speisen beschäftigt sei. Nach kurzem Gespräch war klar: ohne Reservierung ist es eigentlich nicht möglich, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Allerdings ist der Kellner sehr freundlich gewesen, fragte in der Küche nach und so konnte ich an einem der Tische Platz nehmen, nur nicht für den ganzen Abend. Die Karte ist übersichtlich gestaltet, die üblichen Westküstengerichte und dazu die passenden Getränke. Schnell entschlossen: Kapitänsteller mit Hering, dazu das obligatorische Mineralwasser. Es ging zügig, da das Gericht keine großen Umstände in einer guten Küche macht. Drei gerollte Heringe unterschiedlicher Art auf einer sahnig-knackigen Creme, dazu feine Röstkartoffeln und eine leckere Salatmischung, die für Farbtupfer auf dem Teller sorgte. Es schmeckte hervorragend: Jeder Hering gemäß der Zubereitung (Bismarck, Matjes und ein weiterer, mir nicht mehr erinnerlicher Hering) herrlich zart, die Kartoffeln knusprig mit ein paar Kräutern, nicht aufdringlich. Der Salat hatte eine besondere Süße, die gut abgeschmeckt war. Der Abend war kulinarisch gerettet, der Hunger und der Durst vergangen und ich konnte zufrieden den Heimweg antreten. Der Böhler Landgang befindet sich in einem großen, mit Reet bedecktem Haus, ist etwas dunkel und die Trennwände zwischen den Tischen lassen eine durchaus gemütliche Atmosphäre aufkommen. Mir fiel die polierte, dunkle Decke auf: Sehr ungewöhnlich. Die Preise für Speisen und Getränke sind aus meiner Sicht angemessen, es gibt gutes Essen in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre, was für einen Urlaubsort, der momentan beginnt, aus den Fugen zu geraten, beinahe ungewöhnlich ist. Der Böhler Landgang liegt abseits vom üblichen Rummel im Ortsteil Böhl, gut über den Deich erreichbar, wenn man zu Fuß unterwegs ist. Für Autofahrer stehen hauseigene Parkplätze zur Verfügung (soweit ich das erkennen konnte) und Fahrräder finden ebenfalls ihre Stellplätze. Den Böhler Landgang besuchte ich Anfang März 2025, daher kann ich nichts zum üblichen Betrieb in der Urlaubssaison schreiben. Das Restaurant empfehle ich gerne jedem, der regionale, ausgesuchte Speisen in ruhiger, zuvorkommender, sehr gepflegter Atmosphäre genießen möchte.

We visited this place on a dark and cold January evening, outside the peak season. There were hardly any other guests, but that didn’t mean the service or the warm atmosphere was lacking in any way. We were greeted by the very friendly owner, who showed us to our table, introduced the menu, and made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. We ordered pasta and lamb, and it tasted absolutely fantastic—the best lamb we’ve had in a long time. After that, we both had dessert, which was also truly delicious. To finish, we had pear schnapps, which was so good that we asked the owner where we could buy it. He was very accommodating and provided us with the necessary details so we could order it online afterward. All in all, we had a really lovely evening at this restaurant, which we had wanted to visit for a long time. We would happily come back and highly recommend that others treat themselves to a meal here as well.

It was our first time in this excellent restaurant and we loved it. The restaurant manager and the owner were super friendly and accommodating! In addition, we dined exceptionally well in a cozy, modern atmosphere. The Frisaki salad was aromatically perfectly seasoned with a sweet and sour, fruity dressing, the pickled pumpkin with it was fantastic, the fresh sprouts and the freshly roasted bread chips rounded off the taste explosion. The three matjes variants were each a culinary delight in their own right, the housewife sauce couldn't be beaten and went perfectly with the wonderfully roasted potato triplets! The dish was accompanied by a great side salad of the same quality. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert, which we really regret :). We will definitely do it again on our next vacation. We were in SPO with the whole family for my birthday and had already ordered a table from home! After we were there today, we were happy to have landed there! It was very good, everything was perfect, from the reception, the service and the food was very, very good! We all felt very comfortable and can recommend the restaurant 100%!

Very nice restaurant with very good food. For some dishes the portions could be a little larger. The memory card could also have a more varied design. If you are in Ording three times a year and the memory card is always the same, it will be difficult to find something that you haven't had before. But otherwise everything is in tip top condition.

A fine and high quality restaurant The quality is generally very good Only those who don't like it sweet, like me, have a real problem with salads. I think they are way too sweet in the dressing. I was given vinegar and oil separately for the salad with my meal, and the waitress responded very well👍 Only then was hemp oil in the hand-written bottle instead of olive oil, wasn't it my day?! Dogs are generally allowed, but be careful! you want to know that beforehand.

Unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was very accommodating. The food was visually beautifully presented! UNFORTUNATELY the salmon was very over salted and over seasoned. The pork schnitzel was very gristly, almost rubbery and laced with tendons. The salad tasted very much like vinegar. Very Pity.

For the people who also read the bad reviews: The staffing situation seems to have improved a lot. We have been here several times before. We never had any problems, always a very appetizing meal and friendly staff. In recent years the restaurant seems to have only continued to improve. Owners and staff pay attention to every little thing. Even the disinfectant dispenser in the bathroom has a nice message. Of course, the food tastes extremely good. We have been here before, so this was already out of the question for us, but we were confirmed again. As always, the atmosphere was great and very relaxed. However, it is important that you reserve a table. If you don't want to stress yourself out, especially at 7 p.m., you should definitely call ahead or come by yourself.

We did it again. We were there again for dinner. It's still as good as the last time we visited. It's simply an experience to eat there. The employees are open-minded, helpful and do a good job. Keep it up. I hope we can come back for dinner next year. Unfortunately it's not around the corner from us but almost 900 km away.

Fantastic regional food, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly service. The dishes are very balanced and stand out clearly from other restaurants. The salad with Eiderstadt sheep's cheese is particularly recommended. If we lived here, we would be regular guests. 6 stars!

Tolles Restsurant. Wir gehen jeden Urlaub mehrmals hier essen. Es schmeckt alles sehr gut. Labskaus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt täglich ein Gericht des Tages, wir hatten gestern das Rumpsteak, sehr gut! Preis-Leistung passt und der Service ist erstklassig und freundlich. Rechtzeitig Tisch reservieren ist nötig, sollte es warm sein ist dort auch eine schöne ruhige Terrasse. Wir haben schon für nächste Woche reserviert. P.S. Trinkgeld nur bar möglich.

A great restaurant, with a wonderful terrace. We spontaneously decided to eat there because the hotspot was just too busy and crowded for us. After a nice phone call, we were told that there were no seats available in the restaurant itself, but that we were welcome to eat on the terrace. Almost 9 minutes. Car ride and we were able to enjoy our crémant in a beach chair in a relaxed atmosphere. From the first contact to the farewell, we felt welcome and not dismissed. The food was very tasty. Thank you very much, we would love to come back.

Good opening hours, which is a plus since there aren’t many dinner options after 8:00 pm in St. Peter-Ording. The ambience was pleasant, and the staff were kind. However, the food fell short. The "surf and turf salad" was overpriced for just one shrimp skewer, and while the shrimps were tasty, the meat chunks were tough to chew. The salad dressing was also overpowering. The fried fish was decent, but we’ve had better elsewhere.

Schmackhafter Kapitänsteller (Matjesvariationen), ordentliches Schnitzel Holsteiner Art und passable Lammhüfte mit Luft nach oben. Preislich insgesamt im Rahmen, 40€ pro Person muss man mittlerweile auch ohne Wein und Vorspeise einplanen. Ob die 0,33-Fanta allerdings 4,20 € kosten muß? Netter Service, hier würden wir durchaus wiederkommen.

The biggest benefit of the restaurant is that it stays open longer after most places close in the village. The service is fast, nice, friendly and efficient. The food unfortunately is only OK.. some dishes were overcooked, some undercooked.

Very very tasty food. The shore leave Bolognese in particular is a very well thought-out dish and highly recommended. It is quiet and pleasant to sit on the terrace outside. We'd love to come back!

We ate at Böhler Landgang twice. Both times it's a case of luck, because if you really want to eat inside, you should make a reservation early. But we were always lucky on the beautiful outdoor terrace (with beach chairs at some tables, without reservations, partly covered). The service is very friendly and accommodating, even when it's busy. The menu is small but nice, with changing daily specials - and that, in my opinion, makes for the very good quality of the cuisine. It was a culinary delight both times ☺️ Afterwards, you can take a walk to the Böhl lighthouse. A beautiful corner away from the hustle and bustle in "SPO"...
