A wonderful Georgian restaurant! This restaurant is a real gem for lovers of Georgian cuisine. As soon as you enter you can feel the warm and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings are tastefully designed and exude Georgian charm. The menu offers a wide range of traditional dishes - from succulent Khachapuri to perfectly spiced Khinkali. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the authentic preparation. Every dish tasted like a trip to Georgia! The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The staff took the time to explain the dishes and made us feel completely comfortable. An absolute must for anyone who loves Georgian specialties or wants to try something new. I will definitely come back!

Cozy atmosphere, good music, comfortable places, clean toilet facilities. Pleasant waiting. But meal and wine was absolutely overpriced unfortunately. And all portions are so tiny small, you would not be able to get fill. Usually in Georgias places you are full up, but not in this place. But if you’re on your strong diet, its a real place. Good wine, but price is huge. Newer mind.

This restaurant manages to convey Georgian culture and the roots of a people through the dishes, the environment and the wait staff. Kachapuri represents the perfect comfort food, while maintaining its originality in taste. The creamy and gratin cheeses combine with the soft and tasty dough. I enjoyed every bite. The restaurant has a modern style with elements that refer to Georgian traditions. The staff is helpful and kind. The prices are adequate and it is possible to pay by card.

I was immediately impressed by the warm hospitality and the delicious food! Every bite was a culinary journey to the Caucasus. Absolutely worth a visit to experience authentic George food!

The first Georgian meal for me in years. Quality, service and ambience are extremely good and harmonious.

Nice ambience, very good service - but that's about it! Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio isn't right, too expensive and the portions are so small that even pensioners over 70 can't get enough! The food was also very bland, so seasoned soberly. We enjoy Georgian food, but will look for a different restaurant next time

Very nicely offered starters: completely overpriced, which you only notice when you pay the bill; that wasn't fair. Everything was very tasty, but the khachapuri bread was completely overpriced at €14.50.

I've never eaten Georgian before and I was really impressed. In addition to omnivorous and vegetarian dishes, there was also a good vegan selection. The khinkali with mushroom filling and the kachapuri with bean filling are highly recommended.

My visit to Tamada today surprised me very much. When I arrived at 2 p.m. the restaurant was full. During my visit, every seat was occupied until 5 p.m. This is rather rare in the catering industry today. Still, everything was relaxed. Service was very attentive and good, no waiting times and excellent quality. Big compliment to the whole team. I have reserved for 12 people next year.

During our visit to Potsdam to see Sanssouci Palace, we accidentally discovered this wonderful Georgian restaurant. From the very beginning we received an extremely friendly welcome and warm care - in keeping with the old Georgian tradition where hospitality is very important. The food was simply fantastic! Everything was fresh, prepared with love and according to authentic Georgian recipes. Particularly noteworthy is the young man who served us excellently and made the entire evening an unforgettable experience. We are grateful to have experienced a little piece of Georgia here in Potsdam. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy quality, special food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to the owner – we will definitely be back!

I spontaneously had dinner here in the evening, although I had never visited a Georgian restaurant. I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. The service is very attentive and tries to explain the dishes to you. The food came quickly and tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio is right! A very clear recommendation!!!!

Very cozy, small restaurant. Food appears to be truly Georgian (as far as we can tell). We enjoyed it very much. Reminiscent of a mix of Russian, Turkish and Asian. The service, in what is probably a family business, is very good. Very nice change and a cozy family evening. 5🌟 of us for that.

It was our first time in a Georgian restaurant and we really enjoyed it at TAMADA. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and the boss? also gave us “newbies” a delicious recommendation. All the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted great. If we're ever back in Potsdam, we'll be happy to come back. We can definitely recommend it to everyone else.

We looked for a "restaurant nearby" and found "Tamada". I was very impressed not only by the loving and extremely friendly service, but also by the selection of dishes - some of which seemed exotic to us Germans. Everything tasted excellent. Very good quality of food, very good value for money. If I'm in Potsdam again, I'll eat there again. Reservation is recommended!

Very nice little well-decorated restaurant with a warm atmosphere and an outdoor area. We ate here for the first time today and were not disappointed. The young waiter explained to us all the dishes and how they are traditionally eaten. All dishes tasted delicious without exception. We have expanded our culinary horizons again. We ate very good Georgian dishes, we have eaten Georgian a few times and this was definitely the best. The khinkali and chicken shish kebab were very flavorful. My Odjakuri was also very good. I have to emphasize that the food was not oversalted, supposedly Georgians eat very salty and that has been our experience so far, but here it tasted perfect, subjectively speaking. The portion sizes are not overly large, so I would recommend a starter and main course or something to share. My Odjakuri was also very good. The prices are not cheap, but you have to take into account the craftsmanship and the location, the restaurant is in a quiet area and still only a 5-minute walk from Sanssouci. Definitely a recommendation.

We have now eaten at Tamada three times: the first time shortly after it opened, then a year later and most recently in August 2024. Each time we received a warm welcome and excellent service. Georgian hospitality really shines here. We found the food very tasty on our first visits. But on our third visit we noticed how the quality had improved even further. The food is now simply outstanding and Tamada has become my favorite Georgian in Berlin/Potsdam. The meat is grilled to perfection, the khinkali are deliciously stuffed and the khachapuri (megruli) is also excellent. For dessert we had medok (honey cake) and tatara (grape pudding with walnuts). Both were excellent, but we were particularly impressed by the Medok. The wines here are also highly recommended, especially the Georgian Kindzmarauli, which we always enjoy drinking. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Tamada!

Anyone who likes hearty cuisine will love Georgian cuisine. The focus is on meat, vegetables and lots of fresh herbs. Whether it's chicken 🍗 on a skewer, the typical cheese classic Khatschapur or the vegetarian Badrijani - baked eggplant 🍆: you can tell that the team in the kitchen understands the craft and the culture. The enjoyment is complemented by natural wines 🍷 from Georgia - which, by the way, are a role model for the global trend. The home-style honey cake 🍰 is also highly recommended 😍 All in all we spent a very nice evening at TAMADA 👍

It was our first time eating Georgian food. The ambience was nice on a warm summer evening. The service was nice and courteous, just a bit too quick when clearing up. The food was okay and tasted good. There was too much meat and a little too much garlic for our taste, but that's probably common. However, in both meat dishes the meat was fried or cooked too dry, which we didn't like.

Good Georgian food. It's always good to eat with several people so you can share dishes. Otherwise it is probably rather expensive for you alone - depending on what you choose.

First time eating Georgian and it lives up to its reputation

Tried Georgian food for the first time and was blown away 🤩 We had the Khachapuri, Teigtaschen and Ostri — all dishes were interesting and very tasty. Also glad that we tried Georgian wine — will be on the lookout for that now! Service was also amazing: with our 2 small kids we felt very taken care of.

We went because of the many good reviews. We have often really liked the Georgian cuisine, but unfortunately also the restaurants in Berlin, for example. The price-performance ratio was simply not right here. Unfortunately we left hungry. Unfortunately, the bread was served with a main course that had potatoes and you don't need it. But no bread is served as a starter. However, it was by far the worst baguette bread we have ever had in a restaurant. For us, the portion size was simply not right for the price, unfortunately it was too dry. Eating a meat with a wrap and bread was not our thing. We would rather eat Georgian cuisine again somewhere else.

We came without a reservation and were offered one very small table, supposedly the rest were all reserved (we left at the beginning of 9 pm, and there were only places on the street). They took a very long time to bring the menu. I was very impressed with the prices. For 2 khinkal 7.5 euros! Moreover, the dough was overcooked, for some reason they put pepper on top (although I didn’t ask), and the broth was orange, very strange for this dish. Eze was brought some strange “sauce” with them - water with garlic. In addition to this, we also ordered a khachapuri boat, yes, it was delicious, but... it was just a ridiculously tiny size for 14.5 euros. The wine is not poured into glasses, you can only buy a bottle. Kidzmarauli for 57 euros 😬

We were able to enjoy the beautiful weather outside and look forward to the many flowers. The tarragon lemonade was a surprise, the starters (eggplant salad and beetroot salad were very delicious and the kachapuri with cheese and spinach was simply fantastic. To top it all off, a really good café and a heart-shaped grape pudding...! That alone would have been enough for two Making people very happy with really great food, but our wonderful waiter brought it to perfection: very friendly, attentive and top professional. Best restaurant near Sans Souci. Worth the walk from the palace to enjoy a patio with roses. Fresh food, Georgian lemonade, and wine are outstanding. Five stars for Potsdam.

We had been planning to visit this institution for a long time, and yesterday the stars aligned. Very friendly staff, pleasant music and comfortable chairs. I don't know which restaurant the negative reviews ate at, in any case we didn't have a reservation, but we were still treated nicely and parked outside. The waiter was very accommodating and explained the size of the portions. We were able to taste all the wines. The meals we ordered came together so that we could share both the starter plates and the main courses with each other. All dishes were interestingly seasoned and very tasty. Thanks again to the wait staff for their great attention. Will definitely come back.
