I don't even know where to start?!? From start to finish everything here, absolutely everything, is top class! You don't feel like you're in a restaurant at all, more like you're at a friend's house. My tip: stop reading the review, reserve a table immediately and enjoy to the fullest!!! Please stay with us for a very, very long time 🫶

Super delicious food and very courteous service.

We were there during our lunch break. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow. But the food was great. Maybe you should bring more time?

Very authentic Moroccan cuisine with extremely friendly service. We had two starters and two tagines that tasted perfect, next time we definitely have to leave room for the well-stocked display case with the homemade sweet things.

Very tasty food, service very friendly and explained a lot - but also a bit "forgetful". If you book digitally, you will unfortunately only be informed of the time slot afterwards.

Due to a program in the ARD media library, we had great expectations, which unfortunately were not met. The service was very friendly, but the food was just OK for us. We had an appetizer platter with 5 starters which consisted of 5 pastes. Unfortunately, when we asked what this was, we were unable to provide any information. The pastes tasted good, but there wasn't enough bread, which was given to us when we asked. However, we found the price of €9.50 to be too expensive for the starter plate. For the main course we had the classic tagine with beef balls, which were very dry, and here too we found the price-performance ratio to be too expensive, considering that it was just a few vegetables with 6 small beef balls. We also had the vegetarian tagine with lentils and falafel, also here: too expensive. Unfortunately, the falafel was also very dry, and we couldn't understand charging €15.50 for a lentil porridge with strips of bread. The atmosphere is very cozy and it was also very crowded, so maybe it just wasn't "our thing" and other people see it differently. However, we also didn't find the sanitary facilities that appealing: a mixed cabin for men and women and they were already very old. It was clean, but still not nice. We think: for the prices that are being quoted, more should be delivered here. All in all: it was O.K., but we won't be coming back. The television program had raised expectations in us that were far from fulfilled, and so we were rather disappointed with the visit.

Have been there several times, always very satisfied. The jubge fame who served us was very friendly and attentive. The food, as always, was very tasty. The only negative point at our table was that it was a bit draggy and took away some of the comfort.

Waiting for 10 minutes outside in the middle of winter even though we had reserved. The service was very slow with a wait of almost an hour between entering the restaurant and the arrival of the first plates. Some dishes were excellent (sweet lamb tagine) and others disappointing (much too salty rfissa, tiny pastilla). A simple bottle of tap water with mint leaves cost more than €7. I find that the value for money is not good and I will probably not return to this restaurant.

To begin with, I have to say, in the interest of fairness, that my rating does not apply to the food or the service on site, but only to the organization. In November we reserved a table online directly via the website for today, January 1st, 2025. I was also told that it was possible that day. I also received a reservation confirmation via email and today, on day X, another email reminding me of our reservation. Today, full of anticipation, we drove the 1 1/2 hour one-way route to Darmstadt to stand in front of closed doors. Restaurant closed from December 23rd, 2024 to January 7th, 2025. Unfortunately this is not noted on the website. On the way home I looked again and only when I googled it said the opening times were closed and the opening times could be different. Now what? We were or are very disappointed! Now we are people who don't mean anything bad to anyone and would be very happy if you contacted us again personally so that the trouble can be sorted out.

Food was ok ok and not so great. On top it took them 1.30 hours to bring the food after I entered the restaurant. Everything is so slow. But the waitress was kind to us but as there was only 1 waitress the waiting times could be longer.

Mashallah, the best Moroccan restaurant I know. I am a Moroccan from Frankfurt myself and have never seen such an original Moroccan restaurant in Frankfurt or Hanau or anywhere else. The food is cooked using mom's recipes and the service is first class. The young man who served us was very nice, courteous and to our Muslim siblings. Unfortunately, I hadn't prayed the Duhur prayer yet and he immediately gave me a place to pray. Top top top👍 May Allah bless the Rizq of the owners 🤲🏼

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. As someone who comes from Morocco and knows real Moroccan cuisine, the food here was anything but authentic. The tagine was not served in a tagine, but in another vessel. The bread was not traditional Moroccan bread but Turkish flatbread. The quality of the food was average, but the taste was not convincing at all. The prices for the food were particularly disappointing, as they didn't taste good at all.

We were at the Tajinerie in Darmstadt last Saturday. I have to say the food was very tasty, we've never had Moroccan food before and we'll be back. However, we were only moderately satisfied with the service. I know that the restaurant is very small and the operators make the best of it, but we were really happy to have sat in the back corner. The food preparation takes place in an adjoining building and the shop door is constantly opened, so it is inevitable that cold air flows into the shop. Even in the farthest corner we got cold feet. After the main course I asked again for the menu because I would have liked to have dessert. The waiter forgot about this and a larger group came and then he completely forgot about us. It's a shame we were finally able to pay but we had to wait a very long time, so 35 minutes is already borderline. We would definitely come back because of the delicious food, but only in spring/summer because you don't have to sit in the cold. Unfortunately only 3 stars due to service and cold otherwise 4.

A TV report brought us here and we didn't regret it. Great atmosphere, delicious food and super nice “service”, almost family-like. We'll be back.

Please wait outside until the table is ready, looks good on a cool November evening. Table right at the entrance, friendly service advises and takes the order, actually worth 5 stars. After the food was brought, the attention completely diminished.

My family and I were more than thrilled with our visit to the Tajinerie! I even tasted it better than in Morocco! The cozy, authentic atmosphere and the very friendly and courteous service are also highly recommended! Any time!

Super friendly service, super delicious food, fair and not overpriced prices, highly recommended! The only thing that was missing would have been a good Shiraz, but that in no way detracts from the enjoyment. There is no alcohol there, and that's completely okay. Just an info. Oh yes, sensational homemade pastry selection, also available to take away, not cheap but delicious!

Longer waiting times for food, you should reserve a table, good pastries, food ok

Es ist schön dass es ein Familienbetrieb ist und der Herr im Service war auch prinzipiell sympathisch. Allerdings fing das Warten schon an bis man überhaupt am Platz war. Wir hatten reserviert, standen aber trotzdem ewig doof in der Gegend rum bis wir uns setzen durften. Der Vorspeisenteller war OK hat mich aber leider auch nicht wirklich umgehauen und das Brot war hart getoastet. Und für den Preis war es auch sehr wenig Brot. Die Joghurt Soße war sehr lecker, die andere super dünn und geschmacklich nichts. Bis zum Hauptgang haben wir 2 h gewartet. Mit dem Schlemmerblock war es OK. Aber sonst hätte ich mich tatsächlich geärgert. Der Hauptgang war kaum gewürzt das Couscous war gefühlt einfach in Brühe gekocht. Das Hühnchen hingegen war sehr lecker. Aber das Gemüse hat mir gar nicht geschmeckt es war gefühlt einfach ungewürzt ohne jegliche Soße. Das Ambiente hat mich leider nicht ankommen und wohl fühlen lassen. Zunächst war es sehr warm im Restaurant dann stand die Tür permanent offen weil die Küche nebenan war und man saß komplett im Zug. Die Einrichtung ist sehr einfach, was generell ok ist. Aber man sitzt extrem eng. Es wurden neue Kunden an den Tisch "neben" uns gesetzt was war als würden wir an einem 4er Tisch sitzen. Ich bin kein kontaktscheuer Mensch aber so ein Minimum an Privatsphäre möchte man schon gerne haben wenn man sich mit einer Freundin zum quatschen trifft. Es war OK aber mit viel Luft nach oben vor allem was die Dauer, Gewürze und das Ambiente betrifft. Ich würde das Lokal nicht nochmal besuchen.

Wir möchten etwas Neues zu probieren, war bei diesem Restaurant gelandet. Wir haben Lamm und Händchen ausgewählt, war sehr lecker. Die Zubereitung hat länger gedauert, aber es lohnt sich!

Very authentic, great service with explanations of all dishes.

Ich war heute Abend mit einer Freundin zum Essen verabredet und habe gestern Abend auf den Anrufbeantworter gesprochen und einen Tisch für 18.45 reserviert. Als ich um 18.30 ankam waren bereits alle Tische belegt. Ich fragte nach meiner Reservierung und bekam zur Antwort es gäbe eine solche nicht, als ich daraufhin recht niedergeschlagen reagierte, schließlich hatten wir uns auf den Abend gefreut, wurde dies vom Inhaber mit Vorwürfen beantwortet, es kam kein Wort der Entschuldigung oder des Bedauerns der Situation gegenüber, ganz im Gegenteil, das wäre ja ganz schön hoch gepokert sich auf einen Anrufbeantworter zu verlassen, außerdem hätte er ihn schon seit zwei Tagen ausgeschaltet, warum ich denn nicht das Online Portal genutzt hätte, es gäbe zwei davon, bzw. hätte ich es zu einer anderen Zeit nochmal versuchen sollen. Es kam ein Vorwurf nach dem anderen, als ob die Situation, zu der ich ja gar nichts konnte, nicht schon bedauerlich genug war mussten nun noch etliche Vorwürfe angebracht werden um dem Ganzen nochmal so richtig Würze zu verleihen. Also Gastfreundschaft ist etwas anderes. Hier wurde einfach Überheblichkeit und Ignoranz demonstriert. Ich wünsche allen zukünftigen Gästen dass es in Zukunft besser läuft.

We were there for lunch on a weekday and made reservations in advance. The restaurant was busy and we were advised that it might take a while. To tide us over, there was a greeting from the kitchen in the form of soup. Soon the 3 tagines also arrived. The waiting time was completely ok. All 3 meals were prepared very tasty. We ate quite a few tagines in Morocco and therefore have a good comparison. There is also a really good selection of small, sweet pieces. We can only recommend the restaurant. If you only have 30 minutes for your lunch break, this is probably the place for you. not in the right place. Important to know: Credit cards are not accepted, only debit or cash. We will definitely come back!

God bless this family and the store. We arrived from Frankfurt, were welcomed like guests, not like customers and we immediately felt at home. Son, father and the soul of the shop, Mama Souad, have created a beautiful oasis. The tagine, the tea culture, even the desserts: everything is authentic and you can tell: there is love and passion there. My favorite: tagine with chicken. The Emlah in the bread was also just great. It was like a nice short trip to Tangier, Morocco. 🙏Thank you and stay blessed. See you soon again

We spent a wonderful evening at Tanjinerie. The food was incredibly tasty, fresh and wonderfully seasoned. The chicken was tender like butter. A pleasure that is really recommended. And definitely try the royal topping, an absolute must even for the cautious! The service is also top notch! Super friendly, in a good mood and very accommodating! Absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a nice location for a delicious dinner! The pastries are also a culinary delight! Unfortunately our departure was a bit hectic but we'll definitely be back, there's so much more to try!

We were there for the first time and had reserved a table that was planned for 2 hours. The service is very friendly and professional and also quick because the restaurant was full. We noticed that here and there something was forgotten or mixed up, but this was immediately corrected in a friendly manner. The food was authentic and delicious and the prices were totally ok. The only thing that really irritated me is that the bill was handed to us a quarter of an hour before the end of the reserved time with the request to leave because the next person was coming soon, especially because two tables next to us had been free for a long time.

Despite making a reservation on the phone, we didn't get a table and were unfortunately taken for a fool. Very unfortunate. Accordingly, I cannot rate the food.

Never got to try the restaurant. We called ahwed to reserve a table. They told us to come a 8oclock as they will have space for us. We turn up and get told rudely that they have no tables for us and we can wait but it would be a gamble if they have space. No apologies or even a small bit of understanding was given. I personally wouldn't waste your time.

We had a mixed starter and then couscous with three types of meat. Everything was overcooked or overcooked and Brussels sprouts basically have no place in couscous vegetables. Overall, everything is overpriced, the service was good.

I just saw the documentary. You are such a lovely, wonderful family, I was very impressed. Whenever I'm in Darmstadt, I'll definitely stop by for dinner... it looked so delicious. While watching the documentary, I realized once again how stupid prejudices (I had some of them too) against Muslims are (just because a few people commit violence in the name of religion). Ich habe von dem Restaurant im Radio gehört und da wir kurz darauf einen Termin in der Nähe hatten, sind wir dort hingegangen. Das Essen war der Hammer! Alles super lecker. Der Service war sehr gut und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir haben ein bisschen auf unser Essen gewartet, was für uns aber kein Problem da alles frisch zubereitet worden ist. Wir gehen gerne wieder hin!

I can only recommend this restaurant! We became aware of the Tajinerie through the Schlemmerblock. I'm not an omnivore myself and I'm not that open to food that I don't know, but it was worth trying something different. The staff is super friendly and relaxed. We actually had to wait a moment for the main course, which I personally liked because it slowed down the process of eating out a bit. We'll be back!

One of the waiters was quite offensive and embarrassing on three occasions. The other waiter seemed completely relaxed. My friends' food was good, mine (vegan) didn't have much sauce and spices. The decor and design of the restaurant looked very nice.

We went on a city tour from Eat the World on Saturday, where partners serve small culinary bites. We got a small soup made from various vegetables with olive oil in the Tajinerie, which was very tasty. I would particularly like to highlight the great, friendly service and the explanations of the food. Of course, this cannot be a complete review, but it invites you to visit again.

Anyone who doesn't want to be served because the boss would rather treat herself to a coffee and cookies and leave after 30 minutes of doing nothing is very welcome here. Answer: We left the restaurant three times with pieces of paper, our cards were on the table. Eye contact was made and her colleague turned around and went back in. Of course health comes first. But she wasn't alone and the restaurant wasn't full so you could say there were long waiting times. We had very tasty food at the neighbor's!

Unfortunately, without looking around, we sat directly outside for the open air. When I saw how beautiful and authentic the interior is, I deeply regretted this decision. The food tasted good and the family atmosphere is pleasant. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Stopped in here during an impromptu trip to Darmstadt and got the tajine mrouziya. 2 months later and I'm still thinking about it - it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten.

Hi, great for enjoying coffee and you definitely have to try the waffles. The only point, even if it's a high level of complaining... you have to wait a long time until you can order or get paid.

Incredibly delicious food! Starter platter, then tagine with chicken and lentils, a dream. In addition, very friendly staff who kept an eye on everything as much as possible despite the store being busy. For dessert a selection of pastries with mocha, really good. If we lived in Darmstadt, we would be here more often.

Ein kleines Restaurant was sehr leckeres Essen bietet und einen tollen Service. Mein Mann und ich waren gemeinsam mit unserer 2 jährigen Tochter dort essen und es war für alle was dabei. Kinder Menüs gibt es auch.

Small restaurant with a great, special character - prior reservation is very useful. The two of us were there early in the evening on Saturday. Friendly reception, very nice service - even helps professionally if you have difficulty making decisions. Very tasty food. Due to the lack of apple pie, there were pastries, which were certainly no less delicious. Nice ambience. A clear recommendation!

Family style Moroccan food cooked with love. Lamb was slow cooked to perfection. Cous cous and chicken very nice although maybe a little dry. Entree platter was great yet light on bread. Given the culture, do not go there expecting an alcoholic drink.

Probably the tastiest food I've eaten in a while. Perfectly braised meat, delicious vegetables, wonderful aromas. Very nice service. We will be back definitely.

There is a deduction because credit cards are not accepted. The Harira soup and the tagine with minced meat balls, eggs and peas in a tomato-based sauce were wonderful. When it came to tea, I could choose: pure mint or enriched with green tea. In addition, the tea was served unsweetened. Gladly again at any time.

Super symphatischer, authentischer und leckerer Laden fernab des "Mainstreams".

Waren am Samstagabend zu zweit hier essen, Essen hat auch super lecker geschmeckt kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Ist eben mal etwas anders!! Das doofe war allerdings wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, auch dauerte es ewig bis eine Bedienung kam, daher leider nur Drei Sterne.

Wir waren Sonntags nachmittags da. Das Restaurant ist in zwei Bereiche geteilt, sodass der Essensbereich und der Tresenbereich, wo die Kellner und Kellnerinnen sich aufhalten, über eine Tür zur Straße getrennt sind. Dies macht zwar such ein gemütliches Ambiente, führt aber dazu, dass das Personal kaum im Essensbereich ist. Die Wartezeiten sind mit unter sehr lange und man kann nicht einfach nachbestellen. Daher haben wir auch auf einen Nachtisch verzichtet. Ein Konzept, was zum Beispiel Bluetooth-Klingeln die beiden Bereiche miteinander verbinden würde, wäre daher eine Idee. Das Essen selbst war okay. Am besten haben die "Auberginen nach Mama" abgeschnitten. Die Bedienung war nett und auf der Toilette stand auch Deo für die Gäste bereit, falls das Essen doch zu scharf sein sollte. ;) Preislich waren die Mengen gut bis sehr gut.

Sehr gemütliches authentisches Restaurant, freundliches Personal. Gute Auswahl an veganem Essen. Die Tajins sind ein Traum... auch unbedingt das traditionelle Gebäck probieren!!
