It's a shame the Indian restaurant is so far away. We always drive an hour just to eat here. We've never been disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is delicious. The background music makes me feel like I'm actually in India. And as a fun fact, the restrooms are brilliantly designed. The women's restrooms have pink tiles, and the men's have blue ones. A really cool idea!

That was the last time I'll order from there; I ordered through Lieferando and added a note that it absolutely had to be prepared mild. My mouth was burning! After calling them, I was told that a) the dish was generally listed as "medium spicy," b) I should have called ahead because the chef doesn't speak German and therefore couldn't take my note into account, and c) there was nothing he could do now and he couldn't give me a free meal. A free meal? I didn't want a nightcap, I wanted compensation for a meal I had to throw away even though I did everything right. How are you supposed to know you absolutely have to call if you have special requests?! It should be noted somewhere. The food is expensive, and I think it's a real shame to throw food away. The service is terrible if they're already saying they can't give me a free meal. It was inedible, and that has nothing to do with customer satisfaction! Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time (I've never complained before), but it's definitely the last time I'll order food from there!

I go there regularly; the staff is very friendly and the food is great at a fair price. Compared to some other Indian restaurants, it's really something special in a positive way.

The restaurant hasn't just opened yesterday; it's been around for a long time, so I find it incomprehensible that these processes aren't running smoothly. What's even more baffling is the complete lack of communication when there are significant delays. You try to reach the restaurant, but nobody answers. And nobody contacts you on their own initiative either. This is the service desert that is Germany. We had a bad feeling about ordering from them from the start, and we weren't disappointed. We'll be avoiding Taj Mahal in the future, but we still hope they can get their act together.

I highly recommend Taj Mahal! The Indian decor in the restaurant is inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. The staff worked extremely hard and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food was fantastic – authentic, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous. Definitely a very good Indian restaurant; we will gladly return.

The food was actually delicious. If you are Indian, ask the chef to make the food spicier, they do a very good job with it. They got an impressive menu with all the important dishes and appetisers. Loved the chai as well. We got biryanis and they were delicious. The paneer pakora was also delicious. Would definitely recommend.

I was really disappointed with Taj Mahal Oldenburg. The food had absolutely nothing to do with authentic Indian flavor; it was completely adapted to German tastes. If you're familiar with Indian food, you'll immediately notice the lack of spices and genuine flavor. And the worst part: they don't accept card payments! Cash only in 2025? Absolutely unacceptable. I was really looking forward to some authentic Indian food, but it was a complete disappointment. Anyone looking for genuine Indian cuisine should definitely go somewhere else.

We order regularly, and so far, it's always been good. Today the food wasn't as tasty. The chicken was more like turkey and wasn't tender. The mild dish was spicy, and the spicy dish was mild. Absolutely stupid. The naan portions have decreased. Prices have increased. However, the portions of main courses have remained the same and are good. Only the quality wasn't convincing this time. We'll try again.

We were here and had the veggie menu for two or more people. We were thrilled with the variety of courses, so there was a lot to try. Highly recommended, and even big eaters will be satisfied here (large portions, especially for the main course). Requests like "not spicy" are accommodated. If you don't agree, you're given something to add more seasoning, which is great! Thanks to the kitchen. In addition to the authentic ambiance, I would also like to highlight our waitress, who explained each course in a few words and was extremely attentive. (Spicy dips were shown separately after they were brought.) The courses came out quite quickly after we finished them, which means they're really fast. However, we were there on the Krammermarkt day, and it wasn't that busy. So: Absolutely recommended if you like Indian food.

The food was okay, a little small in the portions. The fact that you can't pay by card isn't acceptable these days! Many people don't carry any cash, which puts you in a difficult situation... that's a reason for me not to come back.

The food is always amazing! But the lady who delivers the food is in a really bad mood. She looked at me like she wanted to kill me.

It was our first time there and we were very satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Mild food is actually mild. I was very happy about that, as I'm very sensitive to spicy food. Medium-spicy, on the other hand, was quite spicy. We'll definitely be back. The price/performance ratio is also absolutely fine!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't very authentic Indian, and we ended up with severe stomach aches. It was quite tasty, but we won't be coming back. The fact that card payments weren't possible is also inappropriate these days.

The service was attentive and very friendly. The lamb tikka masala was full of tendons, and the waiter wanted to report it, but never came back to us about it. The chili cheese was good, but not "very hot" as advertised. It took a long time for us to place an order, even though the place wasn't really busy. It was also strange that we were given rice for eight people, but we only ordered two dishes with rice. At least they packed it for us so it didn't have to be thrown away. I think it's a real shame to only offer chicken nuggets for children, especially at an Indian restaurant. And the small drink on the house was some kind of juice. The kids thought it was disgusting, and I would have preferred the rum or liquor, but they didn't ask. It was good that the waiter asked again whether my meal really didn't contain nuts, because I'm allergic.

Absolute recommendation also for outside the home!

Very attentive service and delicious mango lassi. But still leave the Christmas decorations up in March? And the food was terrible. The Tandoori Mixed was bone dry. The lamb skewer was particularly dry and hardly edible. Then not enough sauce to compensate. The mixed sabzi was tasteless. Too bad. ☹️

So, the food really isn't that great. I didn't feel well during the night! I had the duck (not so spicy). It came in cubes, similar to goulash in this country. The taste is rather boring, to be honest! My blackheads weren't too impressed either. Everyone had chicken. Unfortunately it took the staff a long time to clear the table before they noticed that we were finished. So, all in all, the rating was still mild. Unfortunately! There is still a lot of room for improvement! Unfortunately, card payment is not possible! Here, too, a change should be made as soon as possible!

I went to the Taj Mahal for the first time yesterday. I was greeted by super friendly staff. Previously I had ordered two takeaways and was supposed to be able to get them out after 15-20 minutes. I did this, and it was exactly after 15 minutes ready to go. The food was really great. Very hot and plentiful. I still have a small dessert from home to try noticed. Kheer (rice pudding) which also tasted delicious. A really nice gesture. We'd love to come back

Anyone who comes here with the barometer will experience their blue (arithmetic) miracle. The operator offers 2 for 1 main course in the barometer. Rice is usually included. But he takes the rice out of the Baromter offer. You save with the voucher, but you have to buy two bowls of rice (€4.50 x 2). Is it worth the trip? It's definitely cleverly done and I bet not everyone studies the calculation afterwards.

Great lunch at an affordable price

Update: We waited 3 hours. The food was cold and the naan was soggy. It's a shame because the food is actually delicious. Maybe you shouldn't offer delivery service if you can't keep up with deliveries. The food in the restaurant is always very tasty. However, we will never order there again. We've been waiting for our food for 2.5 hours now. After a call we were told it should be there soon. This was also 30 minutes ago.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Three years ago we ordered here very often. The food was great and quite cheap. Then over time it subsided a little and recently again significantly. The chili chicken was amazing to start with. Today mine was a bit watery and not nearly as tasty as it used to be. The food is still ok, but no longer so good that you absolutely have to have it and the prices have increased. I think the price increase is justifiable but the loss in quality is a real shame. Will try again in a few months.

I used the app today (10/25/24). Ordered two dishes from “Uber eats” at 9:20 p.m. According to the status, it should arrive at my place around 10:15 p.m. It's now 11:10 p.m. and still no food! Of course, no one can be reached by phone, even though the store is open until 11 p.m. How can you offer such poor service, what kind of employees are they?!? I will definitely repeat the money. Absolutely bad service, just don't order there.

I had placed an order with the restaurant in Lieferando app around 18:30 and didn’t received the food at all. Tried to reach out to the restaurant multiple times but no response. Finally they cancelled the order at 23:30. I will not recommend to order in this restaurant at all

Das Essen ist extrem lecker, die Portionen groß und preislich völlig in Ordnung. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist angenehm und der Service gut. Der Lieferdienst dauert in der Tat sehr lange, besser das Essen selbst abholen. Und einen Abzug fehlt es für die seit Jahren fehlende Möglichkeit, mit Karte zu zahlen.

Perfect Indian restaurant for lunch , taste as it should be , recommend, loved the place

Very good lunch, we will definitely come back whenever possible! We have now been to the Taj Mahal twice with two people and have each ordered two different vegetarian meals from the lunch menu. All four dishes were very tasty and tasted very different from each other. So you don't always get the same basic sauce with different additions. The lassis are all delicious too, as are the samosas and paneer pakoras! The price-performance ratio for lunch is really unbeatable and we found the service (by one of the operators?) to be very friendly and attentive. We find the ambience absolutely appropriate for an Indian restaurant and quite cozy with warm, dark colors. And a little kitsch is allowed sometimes :)

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is delicious. Unfortunately, I have always had to struggle with extremely long waiting times here. Unfortunately today it completely shot the bird. We were at the store 5 minutes after our order was supposed to be ready. We then had to wait another 40 minutes until we finally received our food. No apology was offered.

I was absolutely disappointed by the Indian food in Mallorca. I never wanted to eat Indian food again. Friends persuaded me and I was very pleasantly surprised. It was super tasty. Super nice and attentive staff. I will definitely come back

Delicious! When I found a whole page with vegan dishes on the menu, I was happy! I chose tofu and broccoli in a coconut curry sauce. There was also basmati rice. As a starter we had papadam (thin bread made from chickpea flour) with 3 sauces. The bread and one sauce were also vegan. Although my dish didn't say a level of spiciness, there was definitely spiciness. It couldn't have been any sharper for me. People who cannot tolerate spiciness should be careful here. The waiter was very polite and overall I was very satisfied. The picture was rounded off with colorful furnishings and Indian music. I would go again! There is a deduction for the not so nice toilets, the toilet lid was completely loose and the cistern was extremely yellowed. The toilets could use a renovation.

The food there has actually always been good, except for the last time. The dish was a little different than usual. Since I always order the same thing, I can judge it. Unfortunately I got a nasty case of food poisoning. I have constant diarrhea and a fever of up to 39.0 c. Now I'm lying flat for a few days. I guess I can't come back that quickly.

Beim Mittagessen gibt es eine Suppe dazu. Klasse Preis / Leistungs Verhältnis!!

Leider kam es gar nicht zum Essen. Ich wollte für Samstag 20:30 Uhr einen Tisch reservieren (Öffnungszeiten lt. Webseite bis 23:00 Uhr) Wurde am Telefon abgewiesen das nach 20:00 nicht möglich ist, weil die ja auch irgendwann mal Feierabend machen wollen. Und nur Bargeld mitbringen. Fazit: Wir sind in einem anderen indischen Restaurant gelandet, besser und freundlich empfangen worden und werden nun halt dort Stammgäste sein.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier essen, aber nicht zum letzten Mal ! Netter Empfang, freie Tischwahl, große Auswahl an Speisen, Getränke & Essen kamen schnell. Das Essen war lecker & reichlich. Mitnahme von Resten wurde angeboten. Freundliche & aufmerksame Mitarbeiter. Kleiner Punktabzug: keine Deklaration über Inhaltsstoffe; werden aber auf Nachfrage klar kommuniziert. EC-Kartenzahlung leider nicht möglich. Da ginge mehr.

Wir haben den Catering-Service des Taj Mahal für eine Familienfeier zuhause genutzt. Schon die Vorbesprechung war sehr angenehm und man hat uns viele hilfreiche Hinweise besonders hinsichtlich der erforderlichen Mengen gegeben (wir hätten sonst zu viel bestellt!). Die Lieferung war dann pünktlich inkl. Teller, Besteck, Deko-Tischdecken. Die Speisen waren wie gewohnt reichlich und von sehr guter Qualität. Wir sind vom Catering des Taj Mahal überzeugt und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Unser Essen war wirklich super lecker und es war eine wirklich große Portion! Auch gefällt mir die große Auswahl an veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten🌱 Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. We happened to have a meal here while on a road trip from Netherland to Denmark. The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere to it. The staff was friendly and even gave us free drinks. The menu looked quite decent and reasonably priced. We liked whatever we ordered.

Essen, Service super. Aber beim Bezahlen gibt es keine Rechnung. Der Kellner sagt nur die Summe und bittet um Barzahlung. Finanzamt wo bist du ?...und ich war nicht das erste Mal hier...sehr dubios...

Essen 1 Stunde nach bestätigter Lieferzeit (auf Lieferando) eher lauwarm geliefert (musste es erneut aufwärmen um es einigermaßen genießbar zu machen). Getränke der Bestellung vergessen, diese kamen noch später. Die Qualität vom Lammgericht hat sich in den letzten 2 Jahren unfassbar verschlechtert.

Heute zum ersten Mal dort gegessen, nach Empfehlung einer bekannten. Ich bin wirklich zufrieden. Habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Auch meinem Partner hat es geschmeckt. Essen wurde schnell serviert und der Kellner war sehr freundlichen. Kommen definitiv wieder.

Essen ist top, aber Lieferung dauert locker 2 Stunden, obwohl es kürzer angekündigt ist - keine Entschuldigung bei Nachfragen.. Schade!

Wir habe Online über die Internetseite Essen bestellt. Nach der Bezahlung mit Paypal haben wir die Info von 90min Lieferzeit erfahren, was uns erheblich zu lange war. Daher haben wir telefonisch die Bestellung storniert und der Mann am Tel. meinte, wir könnten das Geld online zurückbekommen. Das ist jetzt zwei Wochen her und selbst nach Kontakt mit den Eigentümern erfolgte keine Erstattung! Nicht zu empfehlen!
