Wow, what a find! I popped into Taj Mahal Restaurant on Bahnhofstraße 26 in Deggendorf, craving something different, and it was a total hit. The vibe’s cozy with saffron decor and Bollywood charm. Ravi, our server, was super friendly, guiding us through the menu with a smile. The butter chicken was creamy perfection, and the veggie samosas? Crispy, spicy bliss! Huge portions, fair prices (€12-18), and vegan options too. Packed on a Saturday, so I’d book ahead. 5 stars—can’t wait to return for that mango lassi!

It is a woth to go there. The staff is really sweet and friendly. Also the food was really awesome and authentic, specifically the Garlic Naan. They are great at maintaining taste with quality.

I've ordered several times now. I'm thoroughly satisfied. Nothing was ever forgotten, and above all, I was always able to order everything I wanted—which is why I've often been disappointed by other delivery services because they didn't have this or that. Whether it's the super delicious food or the fast (hot) delivery—I can't complain. Friendliness is very important to you, which unfortunately isn't always the case these days. I'll also visit the restaurant in person sometime to add to my positive experiences so far. Dear Taj Mahal team, keep up the good work.

The wait staff were very friendly and polite. The wait times between courses was a little long. The food was absolutely delicious, although the fish curry was a bit too salty. We got poppadoms and a lovely mango yogurt on the house. Overall the atmosphere was nice.

Great Indian food! We've ordered food here several times and so far everything has been super tasty, warm when it arrives and the contact with the staff has been very friendly! In particular, the regular naan and the Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka dishes are our favorites! In our opinion, definitely the best Indian in the area!

Absolutely convinced us: Large selection of dishes, you can't decide. Generous portions. Totally delicious! Very friendly service. Quiet cozy atmosphere. Mango cream as a small free dessert and chickpea bread with three kinds of dips are included on the house. We'd love to go there again soon!

The No.1 Indian restaurant in Lower Bavaria. We are regular guests and are always surprised by the friendliness and courteous nature of the employees. Great ambience. The food is a culinary dream, especially the classic Chicken Tikka Massala, but also other dishes such as Boti Kebap. For what is on offer, the prices are more than okay and you are always very full after eating there. A very clear recommendation from our side!

We got a table for 4 people on November 30, 24 around 8:45 p.m. - without a reservation. We came from Nuremberg, were on the way home to Austria and made a spontaneous stop. Friendly boss who looks after the Taj Mahal on her own. At the end she takes her time and talks to her guests. Simply likeable. We felt very comfortable. The food is simply great at fair prices. An employee even came after us (when we were already out the door) and brought us food to take away. We'll come back anytime when we're passing through.

The service is very nice in this restaurant. The dishes look and taste delicious. My favorite is the Tikka Masala dish. After the meal, a fruity, creamy mango cream was always served. My small dogs are always welcome when I visit the restaurant.

As a new student in Germany, who had no place to stay and nothing to eat, The daal that they served me was very welcoming. It was the best daal that I have eaten in ages. Also there indian style cooked chicken and Lamb are delicious.

I haven't eaten such delicious Indian food in a long time. the naan bread was fresh and buttery. Everyone gets their own individual level of spiciness. And the service is very courteous and attentive. Thank you very much for the good food!

I ordered butter chicken and naan, the food came super quickly: hot, a big nice portion and very tasty. Beforehand I got a small snack for free as a starter and later also a mango drink on the house. The landlady loves her guests, greets everyone individually and I have observed that she has personal little details in her head about each one - when talking to me I could literally notice how she is taking mental notes :-) - and will ask how next time this and that was going on. This makes the visit very warm and you look forward to coming back for more than just the food.

I’m new to Deggendorf and i really crave to have indian food n finally i found it. TAJ MAHAL Restaurant makes me feel home food. As in India Taj mahal looks great and in Deggendorf Tajmahal Restaurant tastes great. So i went like 2 times in 2 weeks and i went with my mother in law she had also certified 💯💯💯💯. I highly recommend paneer butter masala, Naan, Samosa, Garlic soup, Mango lassi. Paneer is so soft and fresh. Atmosphere is so good. The Owners and Staff are very very friendly and lovely. I can’t wait to go 😍😍😍😍😍. I just loved everything there

From the cheerful, very friendly hostess to the starter (cream of chicken soup) and the brilliant main courses (mango duck and lamb with Indian spices), it was a perfect stay. We are very happy (and very hungry) to come back and felt very comfortable.

My friends and I ordered Fish curry 🐟, chicken curry 🍗, and lamb vindaloo from with naan 🫓 . Although it was closing time, the owners of the restaurant were so kind to wait for us to pick up the food. The food was delicious. The lamb was so tender it melted in my mouth. The fish curry my friend had tasted amazing. ✅ Their naan is the best in Deggendorf. ✅ The restaurant is very well located ✅ The staff is great and friendly ✅ The service makes you want to come back ✅ I totally recommend.
