I ate here for the first time with my work colleagues. At first I was skeptical because there are different styles of food: Thai, Lebanese, German, vegan... but I have to say I'm thrilled. All the dishes not only looked gigantic, but were also enjoyed by all colleagues. The service was very good. The location looks great. Overall everything was fine. I'd love to come back.

It was our first time at Tafel&Wein. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly! What I didn't like at all was the inattention of the service. We were in the restaurant for almost 3 hours and not once did we actively ask whether we wanted to drink something or maybe order dessert. I can actually expect that from a high-priced restaurant! A little tip on the side, a little more commitment also promotes sales!

Here you can enjoy with all your senses. Please reserve :) The outside terrace invites you to linger with a fantastic view over the Palatinate. In my opinion, all the employees would be friendly, attentive and accommodating. Whether it's meat, fish, burgers or homemade pasta, everyone will find something delicious here. I can recommend the table and wine.

Invited by friend. Very relaxing area, people are friendly. We tried some special wine, mix with water, light and refresh! I ordered pasta, the noodle was nice. Special place to have dinner!

The food was very tasty. The waitresses were very nice. Something different with bowls and tapas instead of Palatinate cuisine. The patisserie selection inside by Daniel Rebert from Wissenbourg was also not to be despised. Gladly again.

Service and ambience are great but the quality of the food has unfortunately become very poor recently.

It's a disgrace that you are greeted by the waiter, then have to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and then explain that nothing is possible without a reservation. There were two of us and there were at least 20 places available. Fortunately, there are also other inns that are happy to welcome guests and where you will receive a warm welcome.

We experienced an unexpectedly positive surprise on Friday evening, July 8th, 2022! A wonderful evening on the terrace, every table covered with a colorful carpet, despite the "full house" a very attentive, friendly and quick service! Ms. Lee-Straub was kind enough to put a basket of bread on the table for immediate emergency assistance for my husband, who was quite hypoglycemic - thank you again! The food was different than usual in Palatinate restaurants, no Saumagen and no Broodworscht - instead Asian delicacies that tickle the palate and offer new taste experiences. Everyone at our table was happy, the rosé and red wine seemed to be flowing freely (the next morning was a bit bumpy...) - everything was great. The highlight came for us when, after 10 p.m., we drank the rest of our wine at the friendly invitation of a service employee in the interior: a skilful mix of exotic basket lamps, colored walls, colorful decorative wallpaper and a huge banquet hall/interior, which is beautifully restored! We didn't expect such a great interior design and thought it was really, really great! And it's definitely brave to present yourself like this in the cozy Palatinate - but we say: keep it up, don't let yourself be put off!! Even if you're not a big fan of Asian cuisine, you should give "Tafel & Wein" a chance and embark on a culinary journey around the world. It is worth it:-)

We had on Sunday July 28th. In the evening a wonderful place on the terrace with a view of the Palatinate. The menu offers cross-over dishes from many areas - very tasty and very attractively presented with lots of great herbs and spices - plus good wines from the surrounding wine cooperatives. The restaurant is a clear recommendation!

Everything is just right here. The food offering is wide-ranging; the service is excellent, courteous and very discreetly pleasant. The ambience both outside and inside is TOP

I recently had the rump steak, which was perfect – to the point. The day before yesterday I had the Cordon Bleu, which was also really tasty. The three companions on their last visits also enjoyed everything. The wine selection is very good, the wines are delicious. The range of non-alcoholic drinks is also very good, definitely offering unusual drinks and not the usual stuff. The time before last we were still inside due to the weather, but it should be said that the large rooms mean that you don't have to sit crowded together. Last time we were outdoors and were able to enjoy the view of the Odenwald. There was a small drawback, at least from my point of view, on the last visit. Three people had finished eating and one person was still eating. The junior service worker cleared the plates over the plate of the person who was still eating. So only four out of five stars. Here I expect that the question will be asked whether it should be cleared away or not. It may be that there are other guests who really want their plate off the table, even though not everyone is finished yet. We didn't want that. So just ask the room a question about whether it should be cleared away or not. But as can be seen from the above – everything else is great.

A visit to “Tafel und Wein” is a truly refreshing experience. With service that is not only friendly but also extremely attentive, you will feel comfortable and in good hands right from the start. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally tasty food, which meets every taste and enchants the senses. But the highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the Rhine plain. For the best experience, I recommend booking a spot on the podium and enjoying the view. A true pleasure for all senses!

It's a shame, beautiful place, super nice service. But the food was a disaster. Unfortunately you can't decide what you want to offer there. Burger or a Thai soup. Fries or maybe rice. In such a beautiful place that is extremely comfortable, you would rather have Mediterranean food. You can also find the dishes on the menu purely by chance. I always enjoy sitting there and drinking. Food... no.

This is how you alienate guests! The waiter came to our table after 10 minutes and asked rudely if we had reserved. He claimed that the box on the table with cutlery and napkins meant the table was reserved. We received no indication of free tables, of which we saw two as we left the restaurant.

Tafel und Wein used to be one of our favorite restaurants (we even celebrated our civil wedding there two years ago)… unfortunately the quality of the food has declined recently! Yesterday we were there with friends. Various burgers were ordered at the table, the brioche rolls of the Swiss Smashed Burger were so hard as if they had been from the day before or had been warmed up for the second time... Since the last visit to a complaint about the ordered food was responded to in an extremely inappropriate manner, I ordered mine yesterday Complaint swallowed down so as not to let what had been a lovely evening escalate. It's a real shame, the location is unique and we always enjoyed being guests at Tafel und Wein... But after yesterday evening it will probably have been our last visit...

The food is okay. Unfortunately, the actually delicious tarts from Weissenburg were no longer fresh. I'm guessing they were at least 3 days old as they were almost rubbery at the top. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. The ambience is very nice but that's not all.

Aufgrund der vielen negativen Bewertungen hinsichtlich des Service waren wir auf einiges vorbereitet beim unserem Besuch im Tafel und Wein. Die Location ist einfach unbeschreiblich toll, wahnsinnig schöner Ausblick über die Rheinebene und die Weingärten, den riesigen Außenbereich müssen wir bei einem weiteren Besuch noch austesten. Wir wurden zügig am Eingang empfangen und hatten einen Tisch im "Wintergarten" (angeschlossen an den Hauptspeiseraum), mit tollem Ausblick. Der Service war okay, vor allem bei den jüngeren Mitarbeiten ist aber noch Luft nach oben. Als Vorspeise hatten wir gegrillte Garnelen mit Aioli und eingelegten Tomaten. Die Garnelen waren auf den Punkt gegrillt, die Aioli hatte genau die richtige Balance hinsichtlich Knoblauch und Fettgehalt, die Oliven waren von sehr guter Qualität. Die Weine stammen vom Weinland Königsbach und sind ausgezeichnet bei gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Spareribs mit Pommes und Coleslaw. Die Portion war nicht zu groß, die Ribs zart und saftig, die Beilagen gut abgeschmeckt. Zum anderen hatte ich einen asiatischen Salat mit crispy Tofu, sehr lecker, nur wahnsinnig scharf - zu scharf für mich ;-). Highlight zum Nachtisch: die Köstlichkeiten von Daniel Rebert. Unser Fazit: die Auswahl der Speisen aus (gefühlt) allen Küchen der Welt ist vielleicht zuerst verwirrend. Die Umsetzung ist aber in allen Fällen kreativ und sehr gelungen. Beim Dessert auf einen französischen Star-Patissier aus der weiteren Region zurückzugreifen, finden wir eine super Idee! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

The best thing about the place is the location and the ambience. We had made a reservation there to invite a friend, I was wearing my best jacket and no jacket. Unfortunately we were told that today there would only be food on the terrace because we had a party inside the next day. I thought it was too cold outside and I didn't understand it because there wasn't any blankets inside or anything like that. Since I'm not a big fan of Asian cuisine, I wanted to order the ox cheeks - but unfortunately they were out and the cordon bleu that I used as a replacement was unfortunately a failure. It looked like it came from a deep fryer, there was no trace of loose breading and I couldn't taste the supposed mountain cheese either. My salad was completely drowned in sauce and the potato wedges were bland. The chutney that came with it was very good and also the roast beef crostini as a starter. I've had much better regular bruschetta and the Aperol Spritz elsewhere. I thought that was a shame because I was really looking forward to the evening.

Special yesterday: Chicken wrapped in bacon with wild garlic cream pasta and green asparagus (or something similar). So delicious! Unfortunately, the picture doesn't exactly match what was served. Wir hatten für zwei Personen reserviert und wurden gleich nach unserer Ankunft in den Vorraum gesetzt. Nach Rückfrage, ob wir uns auch in den Haupt-Gastraum setzen könnten, wurden wir von der Servicemitarbeiterin mit großen Augen angeschaut. Ihr Kommentar war, dass es drinnen nur größere Tische gibt und wenn wir uns weiter nach hinten setzen wollten, sie längere Wege gehen muss. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Rieslingschorle war unserer Meinung nach kein Riesling. Unser Fazit: Kann man hingehen, muss man aber nicht.

A very nice, atmospheric location. Varied menu with not too much choice, so the quality is also good. We've eaten there several times, and when the "right" staff is there, the service goes well, and we've also had something different. But since it was a one-off event of a not-so-nice kind, you can overlook it. There could be slightly longer opening times during the weekend. But that's the only real point of criticism at the moment.

We had dinner with six people in the “Tafel und Wein” restaurant. It was a completely successful evening. Everything was fine. We were here for the first time, but definitely not the last.

We didn't have good experiences. We invited friends to this restaurant for a birthday. A table was reserved by telephone. Before the visit we asked again whether everything was OK. When we arrived there were 2 tour buses at the door and the place was packed. There is no trace of our reservation anymore. To make sure we hadn't been booked in for another day, we sent an email asking for a phone call, but in vain. A pity!!

Absolutely fantastic ox cheeks, potato gratin and savoy cabbage. Add a glass of wine and the evening is perfect.

The hall is impressive, the seating options are simple, but ok. I found it too fresh and a bit noisy when a lot of seats were occupied. This also put demands on the staff and we had to make our presence felt. This is definitely a great place to go in the summer, so we’d love to try it again 😀

This restaurant could have almost been given 5 stars, great location, excellent food, but due to a dispute with the bartender/provisional manager. It could have been 3 stars if the excellent waitress hadn't intervened and de-escalated the situation. I can definitely recommend this restaurant because the food is high quality, cross-over traditional/modern and very tasty. I had fish and chips with panko batter. The sauces, especially the pea quacamole, went very well with the dish. Next time I would like to come back in summer to sit on the terrace with a view. Recommendation for the owner to either write a short description about each wine or offer the residual sourness or sweetness of the wine. This would make choosing the wine easier and a “fine dry” would not turn out to be “sweet”.

Super nice restaurant. When I walked in, I immediately fell in love with the facility. A very cozy and inviting atmosphere is created. I've eaten here several times and, as always, I was completely satisfied. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Extra requests were responded to very well. As always, the food is on point and varied. The taste is simply great!!

Unfortunately you have to give 1 star for a review, otherwise I would give minus 10 stars. The restaurant attaches great importance to reservations, I arranged this and also received a confirmation email. When I entered the restaurant I was told there was no reservation. We were nevertheless directed to a table away from the table. Unfortunately, when ordering the food, the 2 main courses chosen were out. The "replacement meal" was of medium quality. After our meal we wanted to order something, the waiter ignored us and turned off the lights around us. It was 8:30 p.m. When I asked when it would close, I was told at 10 p.m., but it was Christmas and he wanted to finish! We then decided to pay. The waiter came and verbally told us the bill amount. I replied that I would like to see the bill first. In response I was told that this was not possible and that I should pay first and then I would get the bill. I have never experienced anything like this in the whole world!!!! It borders on blackmail... I will never enter the restaurant again.

A wide selection of food including Asian and Mediterranean influences as well as beautiful local wines (especially the white wine cuvée Imperial Organic) allow for a perfect evening in a relaxed atmosphere

Ehemals mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Leider arbeiten dort zu großen Teilen Servicekräfte, die keinerlei Sinn für Gastlichkeit oder Freundlichkeit besitzen. Ganz zu schweigen auch nur annähernd Ahnung haben, wars "bedienen" bedeutet. Das traumhafte Ambiente ist da nur ein geringer Trost. Schade eigentlich! Zusätzlich die Preisschraube massiv angezogen und die Qualität herabgesetzt . Glücklicher Weise kommen in Pfalz ausreichend Mannheim Touristen, sonst würde es sicher eng werden. Echt bedauerlich!!!!

Ochsenbäckchen mit wenig Bäckchen, mehr Knorpel. Leicht erkennbar, hätte so nicht serviert werden dürfen.

Sehr tolles Ambiente, Essen sehr lecker (ich hatte ein sehr gutes Rumpsteak, das genau auf den Punkt gebraten war wie bestellt), nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Großer Parkplatz. 1 Stern ziehe ich ab wegen der Stornogebühr die erhoben wird, wenn man für 6 Personen reserviert und dann kurzfristig nur mit 5 kommt. Wenn nicht abgesagt wird verstehe ich das ja, aber in einem solchen Fall finde ich persönlich das übertrieben. Vielleicht sollte man das nochmal überdenken.

Unfassbar schöne Hochzeitslocation mit tollem Ambiente sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Die Tische waren liebevoll dekoriert, es gibt tolle Lampenschirme und auch die Dschungelwand passt super mit den rustikalen Dielen und Tischen zusammen. Es gibt genügend Platz für Spiele draußen und für den Hochzeitstanz drinnen. Da die Location direkt an den angrenzenden Weinbergen liegt, kann man sich auch mal kurz mit dem Brautpaar wegschleichen und bei Sonnenuntergang ein paar Fotos schießen, ohne dass die Gäste es merken. ;-)

Im Winter nicht dienstags besuchen, wenn man eher verfroren ist…. So und Mo geschlossen und am Dienstag war noch nicht angemessen geheizt. Wir wollten fast wieder gehen, da viel zu kalt im Gastraum. Mit Jacken ging es dann. Service nett und aufmerksam. Essen war gut. Tolles Ambiente und für den Sommer sehr schöne Außenanlage. Tipp: Wer „Rebert-Törtchen“ aus Wissemborg zum Nachtisch mag, muss nur bis Königsbach fahren… schöne Auswahl aus dem Elsass.

Wahnsinnig coole Location, die mit freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen trumpft. Großer Innen- und Außenbereich, egal wo, man fühlt sich rundum wohl.

Tolle Lage mit schöner Aussicht und tollen Außenplätzen. Auch innen ein super schönes Ambiente. Es gibt eine angemessene Auswahl an Speisen. Mittlerweile konnten wir uns etwas durch die Karte probieren und sind immer wieder begeistert. Das Personal ist super freundlich, es kam aber immer mal wieder zu Missverständnissen und Verwechslungen. Ansonsten top!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Speisekarte und die Essen, die wir bestellt hatten (eines wurde falsch aufgenommen), waren extrem lecker und durchaus reichhaltig. Für Vegetarier und Veganer gibt es eine außergewöhnlich große Auswahl. Und das mitten in der Pfalz! Von vegetarischen Vorspeisen orientalischer Art über diverse Bowls, Nudelgerichte bis hin zum vegetarischen Burger mit Salat und Pommes gibt es alles! Vielen Dank dafür! Das heißt aber nicht, dass die Fleischesser zu kurz kommen. Im Gegenteil. Und der Service stimmt auch. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls toll. Ein Stilmix, der vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bis in die Gegenwart reicht. Riesige Fototapeten an zwei Seiten mit Dschungelmotiven, dazu passende Lampen mit Affen. Auch im Sommer einen Besuch wert wegen der freien Aussicht auf die Rheinebene. Direkt daneben ist der Winzerverein Königsbach.

Essen und Ambiente richtig gut und schön. Leider hat das Essen etwas gedauert, wofür sich die Servicekraft auch entschuldigt hat. Wir kommen aber sicher wieder und können das Restaurant absolut empfehlen!

Cooler Empfang, gut organisierter Service und das Wichtigste, das Essen ist richtig gut, lecker, kreativ.

Wir waren mit einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft dort. Das Ambiente und die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön. So stellt man sich das in einer Weinregion vor. Das Essen in dem Fall Buffet war auf gutem Niveau. Die Vorspeisen Platten waren sehr gut, der Hauptgang etwas schlechter. Das ist aber sicher Geschmackssache. Das Personal war schwankend, ab und zu etwas unfreundlich und wirkten verwirrt/überfordert. Am Ende hat man aber das bestellte bekommen. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und eigentlich in Ordnung. Eine komplette Sanierung würde aber sicher gut tun.

Das Angebot verschiedener internationaler Küchen und stellenweise deren Kombination ist hervorragend. Die Speisekarte ist dabei nicht überfrachtet und das Weinangebot ist sehr gut.

Es war ein sehr entspannter Abend mit leckerem Essen. Man sitzt ganz nett trotzdem es ein großer Saal ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Eine sehr spezielle und individuelle Location. Ausgefallene Deko die zumindest meinen Geschmack voll trifft. Vielfältige Speisekarte und schneller, effizienter Service. Diverse gute Weine und eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte, Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort und hatten 7 verschiedene Essen und jeder war sehr zufrieden was Qualität und Quantität betrifft! (zB Burger, Spare Ribs, Caesar Salat, Cordon Bleu, Thai Gerichte). Preislich nicht gerade günstig aber der "Leistung" entsprechend okay. Könnte mir aufgrund der sehr hohen Decke (ehemalige Winzerhalle?) vorstellen, dass es nicht ganz einfach ist die Räumlichkeiten im Winter warm zu kriegen. Einziger Malus: Der Vorabservice hat noch Verbesserungspotential, sowohl was die telefonische Erreichbarkeit als auch die (Nicht-)Reaktion auf Email oder Kontaktseite angeht.

Also für mich war dass kein zufriedenstellender Abend. Das Ambiente war toll, aber für mich kein ausschlaggebender Faktor um das Restaurant nochmal zu besuchen. Gibt viele schöne Alternativen in der Gegend
