Unfortunately, my visit to the Syrtaki Blankenburg restaurant didn't go as I had hoped. As soon as we arrived, about 20 minutes before the reserved time, we were greeted with a curt “You are early” and seated at our table. We were told that the service would not start until later, which didn't bother us at first. However, it took another 20 minutes for someone to take the drink order and another 15 minutes for the drinks to be served. The start to dinner was rather slow, and unfortunately this pattern continued throughout the entire evening. After ordering, it took another 20 minutes for the starter to arrive. However, the table was not cleared after the starter was eaten. When the next waiter came with the main courses, he first had to ask us who was getting which dish, which unfortunately happened in a somewhat hectic moment as the remains of the starter were still on the table and there was no space for the main courses. After we pointed out that the table had to be cleared first, the waiter seemed slightly annoyed and put the dishes down among the leftover starters in a rather uncoordinated manner. We ended up helping a little ourselves to put things in order. Unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. My dish was partially raw and overcooked in other places. The skewer was dry, and the gyro was drowned in sauce and topped with cheese. The presentation also left a lot to be desired - the food looked like it had just been slapped onto the plate. Another main course's lamb was well prepared but unfortunately served with frozen fried potatoes. The other dishes in our group were also not convincing. The liver in Metaxa sauce was more reminiscent of a soup with meat, and the “senior plate” consisted of a similar unfortunate combination. The side salads were disappointing - just large, green lettuce leaves without any other ingredients such as cucumbers, tomatoes or olives. Overall, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed, which was probably due to the fact that only three waiters were trying to serve around 150 guests outside. This led to a certain hectic pace, which was noticeable in the quality of the service. What was particularly annoying was that my second glass of wine, which I had ordered, was completely forgotten. We finally decided to order the bill, but even for that we had to wait about 20 minutes before we went to the inn to pay inside. Overall, the Syrtaki Blankenburg restaurant offered mass instead of class. Even the friendly gesture with the free carafe of ouzo and ice cubes couldn't save the experience. Although there are certainly better days in this restaurant, I probably won't be returning. It's a shame because I was hoping for more.

Went to the restaurant for lunch... Unfortunately we had to wait about 1 hour for the food.. Some dishes were too salty and too garlicky..The starter salad was partly red and white cabbage salad from a can, without tomatoes or cucumber pieces..it's a shame..In the summer season you expect to have fresh salads on your plate..What do you also served in other restaurants... all year round... I find it questionable and uninviting whether an opened bottle of ouzo should be placed on the table without saying a word. A glass of ouzo would be completely sufficient and more appealing to me... The service for us was not inconsiderate and sometimes arrogant... We had the feeling that it was too much because when ordering, not only the first time, but also the next order, we had to be made aware that other people at the table wanted to order something ..The reaction only came after contacting the service... The restaurant is very large with many seats inside and on the terrace. The service is visibly overloaded... and seemed disinterested and annoyed... Unfortunately, hospitality is not the top priority... which should actually be a given should......need for action is necessary when dealing with guests... My/our conclusion, there will definitely not be a second chance. Since we have already been served with more warmth in other Greek restaurants... and are very welcome there... Wish you all the best..

We celebrated Grandpa's 80th birthday 🎂 there yesterday it was great the food was very good the service was very good it was super full yesterday and they did everything they could and it was world class I would love to come back again and again keep it up you did a great job ❤️

My visit to the Syrtaki restaurant with my friends was an absolute pleasure. The cuisine is incredibly tasty and the portions are huge - you'll definitely fill yourself up! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the host himself was extremely welcoming and made us feel really welcome. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back!

First of all, the food was really tasty. Unfortunately I can't give the staff and service more than 2 stars. Here you should perhaps explain to your employees again what constitutes friendliness.

Great food but please always order in advance, very crowded

Waited on the terrace for 1 1/2 hours and the people who came later did get their food. The waiters run past you. After politely asking if the order had gone through correctly, we were ignored. After asking again after an hour and a half, we also got a big mouth, on the crowded terrace. And then say "tjussie". If not, we will go to another restaurant where you will be treated with respect! We will never come here again.

I can't do much to help the restaurant because we left the restaurant after waiting for a while. The boys are woefully understaffed. Eternal waiting time. But I don't blame the service staff.

Hatten Tisch im Garten bestellt. Als wir ankamen, riesen Aufregung, mussten noch 10 min.warten. Wurden zu mehreren Tischen geschickt, drinnen. Auf unsere Frage, Tisch zum im Garten bestellt, wurde nichts gesagt. Kellner schnell weg und ward nicht mehr gesehen. Später mitbekommen das eine andere Gruppe unseren Tisch draussen hatte, Kellner waren auch lieber draussen, mussten lange auf unser Essen warten. Essen war toll. Service leider nicht so.

We've eaten there two or three times now and are stunned. We thought we would give them all another chance but in vain. It takes ages before you get noticed, let alone someone takes your order. We waited half an hour for the drinks, over an hour for the starter and the main course was still a long way from being in sight. After asking 4 times, the food was finally served. The service was unbelievably poor. And the food is okay but absolutely not worth the wait.

For my birthday, the Syrtaki crew outdid themselves! Many thanks to all employees for their commitment. The banquet hall was prepared for around 50 people. Then there was a buffet that catered to all wishes and special needs (from vegans to young omnivores). In fact, without exception, all guests praised their food! The ouzo helped with digestion, but we only managed a small portion of the meal. So today we just keep celebrating with the frozen remnants. Then some of the team skipped the coffee break. Thank you very much again! You gave me and my guests from near and far a great setting for an unforgettable day! Greetings to the whole team and have a nice holiday!😎👍🍀💫

After a while, I went to the restaurant today and everything was extremely pleasant

We were looking forward to a lovely evening in the garden restaurant. For three quarters of an hour we watched as waiters walked past us and guests arriving later were at least given drinks, but we were completely ignored. Guests who had been given drinks and allowed to order food when we arrived also waited in vain until we left. We have visited many restaurants all over the world, but we have never experienced such subterranean service (which we didn't have either). And this during the week, you can't imagine what it's like there on the weekend when the weather is good!

After 45 minutes of waiting, everyone around us at least had something to drink or even the menu. We were simply ignored. That's not how you treat guests. You can at least give an indication that it will take a while, but a drink should still be possible. There were 2 young men sitting next to us who were already sitting there when we arrived, and they still hadn't been allowed to place an order either. Today is a completely normal weekday. I can't even imagine what it looks like on the weekend when it's fully occupied. Conclusion: if you are hungry and thirsty and are looking forward to Greek hospitality, you should avoid Sytakis in Halberstadt. We left after an hour!

Good food served swiftly. 1 too many Ouzo....

Abendessen Nach 45 Minuten Wartezeit hatte alle um uns herum zumindest schonmal etwas zu trinken oder sogar die Speisekarte. Wir wurden einfach stumpf ignoriert. So geht man nicht mit Gästen um. Man kann ja zumindest einen Hinweis geben, dass es noch etwas dauert, aber ein Getränk sollte doch möglich sein. Neben uns saßen 2 junge Männer, die schon da saßen als wir kamen, auch die hatten immer noch keine Bestellung aufgegeben dürfen. Heute ist ein ein ganz normaler Wochentag. Wie es am Wochenende bei Vollbesetzung aussieht, mag ich mir gar nicht vorstellen. Fazit: wer Hunger und Durst hat und sich auf die griechische Gastfreundschaft freut, sollte das Sytakis in Halberstadt meiden. Wir sind nach einer Stunde gegangen!

If you want to feel like you're in Mitropa or in a factory canteen, this is the right place for you. The waiters were constantly running back and forth. A quiet dinner was out of the question. Salad tasted sour, the lamb wasn't cooked properly and the pork was too dry. Overall not worth the money.

I always eat something completely untypically Greek, a steak, which is just awesome. However, this time we had to wait a long time to be able to order, even though it wasn't very full. But the team is super nice and always polite.

The food tastes good. There's nothing more to say about this. Large selection of dishes. What's not so great, however, is the behavior of the employees towards customers. One of the employees called me early and wanted to know in a rather rude manner how many people there were. I said the 14 I hoped I ordered. Why I don't know and he calls back in an hour and wants the exact number. I still couldn't tell him. In the evening my colleague ordered ice cream with hot raspberries, but was given strawberries. So the comment was waved off and the waiter simply left. Hmmm. We thought it was cheeky. When paying, we got annoyed looks again because we need individual invoices for our clients. My colleague mentioned the raspberries again and the waiter simply walked away again. A pity. They won't see us there again. We're going somewhere else with our clients soon.

I read about the new opening a few weeks before and since our regular Greek was on vacation we came here. Unfortunately, the first impression is disappointing: the restaurant is relatively large and there are a lot of seats, so it is quite loud. So eating comfortably is not possible. There is also a very large outdoor seating area outside. We were given a carafe of ouzo straight to the table. Nice, but as the saying goes: sometimes less is more. The food itself came in a reasonable time and was ok, but not particularly well presented. As a starter there was garlic bread (it was ok, but not earth-shattering) and ham rolls (according to my husband it was good, but €7.90 for that is steep because the portion was small) I had the fillet plate (pork, lamb and beef fillet) with garlic potatoes. The meat was quite good, there's nothing to complain about, the beef and lamb were actually not overcooked and were still juicy, pork has to be done. The garlic potatoes were sad though: fried but dry potato slices sprinkled with a garlic paste that didn't make the dryness any better. The employees are quite nice, but relatively short, which is probably due to the size and corresponding number of guests. Conclusion: too big and too much, which affects the entire atmosphere. We probably won't come here again. Addendum: I've been here again in another group and I have to say it really depends on which room you're sitting in. The food was much better this time and there was nothing wrong with the service, on the contrary.

The food was delicious! We had tel. A table was reserved but we were told on site that there was no reservation. Unfortunately that wasn't the first time! The service wasn't intrusive but it was overly funny and jokes were made that were misplaced.

It's been a long time since I've had a Greek meal that was as delicious as the one at syrtaki Halberstadt. I'm more than thrilled, friendly service, delicious food and a nice atmosphere.

Food was very tasty. Except for the green beans. Service OK. Afterwards I was a bit annoyed... I wanted to swap the croquettes for Cretan potatoes in my main course. That wasn't a problem either. However, no one mentioned that I had to pay extra for this. However, the croquettes I paid for were not on the plate. I also missed some vegetables on the entire menu. Broccoli or fried eggplant. Maybe you should think about it...

We called before our visit today and asked if we could bring our dog. This was answered in the affirmative. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated in the winter garden, which was very pleasant as we were sitting apart here with our dog. The first waiter was already mumbling something in Greek, which we found very cheeky. When the food was served, the second waiter was also very dismissive. We couldn't say anything negative about the food. Our conclusion: You won't see us again as guests.

Food was OK, I felt like I was in a madhouse. The music was way too loud, I could hardly communicate with my companion. The employees danced, threw napkins, etc. When asked about the fact that some guests didn't feel well ignored. Furthermore, during another visit to a family celebration, several women were approached and flirted with. Which of course reflects the professional nature of this business. I was very shocked twice by the gastronomic performance.

We had a small class reunion last night, so we mainly wanted to chat over a nice meal. Then unfortunately it became the loudest restaurant visit of my life. The one-year anniversary was celebrated with a DJ. There was a lot of free ouzo and sparkling wine, which was nice. There was nothing wrong with the food and the waiting time was also limited. But the volume of the music made conversation impossible; we almost had to shout at each other. The waiters had problems understanding the orders and there were some misunderstandings while serving. It almost bordered on physical harm, especially when the volume was turned up even higher for a birthday song. Some guests had to cover their ears. Hours later my ears were still ringing. That was my first and last visit to Syrtaki.

The staff is extremely friendly, but also absolutely overwhelmed due to the mercilessly busy space. When you finally order and have your food after an hour, you are completely thrilled with it. The food itself is absolutely delicious. So if you go there on the weekend, you should take your time. It's not a fast food joint.

Wir wollten mit Freunden eine richtig schöne Sylvesterparty feiern, aber es wurde dann nicht so, wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Pro Person hatten wir vorab 110€ bezahlt. Dafür gab es ein komplettes Essen sowie diverse Getränke wie Bier, offene Weine, alkoholfreie Getränke sowie einige Mixgetränke wie Campari Orange, GinTonic und Kuba Libre. Da wir pünktlich vor Ort waren hatten wir Glück und bekamen auch bald unser Essen. Da aber die Gaststätte mit 190 Gästen total überbucht war, mussten viele stundenlang auf das Essen warten. Die Kellner hatten deshalb auch ewig mit dem Servieren und Abräumen zu tun, weshalb kein Getränkenachschub mehr kam, obwohl 3 verschiedene Kellner angesprochen worden waren. Bei Selbstabholung an der Bar gab es nur Wasser, weshalb wir dann auch mit Wasser anstoßen mussten. Später haben wir erfahren, daß wir auch eine Flasche Sekt für 25€ hätten kaufen können. Da nach dem Feuerwerk im Gastraum das Licht gedämmt und griechische Musik dafür laut gestellt wurde, war das für uns das Zeichen zum Gehen.

It was very loud in the restaurant and not very comfortable. Service was very nice but very haphazard. We were 6 people. Food came almost promptly with the starter. First forget a salad then bread for the main course. It was cleared away during the meal. That wasn't so nice. Otherwise, the food was delicious. Cold starter platter for one person, we've seen better.

Dishes are very good but the waiting time is a disaster.

We had our semi-annual meeting with the girls and "Vali" served us in a super friendly, competent and courteous manner. The ouzo evaporated so quickly that the carafe was always refilled very quickly. The birthday ice cream with the fountain was awesome. We will continue to be happy to visit again and again.

Der Service war super nett , das Gericht hat mir nicht besonders geschmeckt. Griechische Küche kenne ich anders. Überbackenes mit wenig Pfif und Kreta Kartoffeln die ich von zahlreichen Aufenthalten auf Kreta ganz anders kenne. Schade vielleicht hatte ich an diesem Tag einfach nur Pech.

Wir waren eingeladen zu einer Firmenfeier mit 12 Personen. Die Portionen sind mächtig und auch mächtig stark gewürzt. Ich hatte eine kalte Vorspeisenplatte für 1 Person und danach Gyros mit Zwiebeln. Leider konnte der Kellner mir nicht genau sagen, was die Platte beinhaltet, sonst hätte ich mich für etwas anderes entschieden. Das Personal ist freundlich, bemüht, aber teilweise auch unstrukturiert. Das Ambiente ist im Gastraum modern ausgerichtet. Im Sanitärbereich rate ich zu etwas mehr Sorgfalt und ein wenig Sanierung. Insgesamt ist der Grieche für mich nicht schlecht, aber mehr auch nicht.

Essen war nicht so gut. Teilweise kalt und nicht wirklich durch. War eher enttäuscht, obwohl ich mich auf einen guten Griechen in Halberstadt einmal gefreut hätte. Fahren dann doch wieder demnächst nach Quedlinburg. Hier ist die Auswahl an guten Griechen und die Qualität erheblich besser. Schade für die Kreisstadt.
