I’m giving 3 stars because of the service. The staff was rude from the moment we entered the restaurant. It felt like they treated us with prejudice—perhaps because we spoke English or because we are young? That being said, the food was great, and the portions were very generous. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you don’t speak German, as the atmosphere can ruin the experience, no matter how good the food is. I didn’t expect this from a restaurant in a tourist area.

Simply fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very inviting and cozy. We were particularly impressed by the super attentive staff – friendly, professional and always on hand. Despite the busy restaurant, we got our food in just 12 minutes - it couldn't be quicker! Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back! 😊🍽️✨

Super delicious food. We come every time we are at Lake Constance. The round-the-clock tavern plate with the Fleosch selection is perfect. The Maultaschen are great. The potato salad was also great.

Staff arrogant, unfriendly and not eloquent. Service thought not recognizable. In general, everything is more reminiscent of mass processing and in no way of a cozy inn. We will avoid it in the future.

I can highly recommend the inn by the lake. The food was very tasty. The service staff was top👍👍👍 If you're vacationing here in Friedrichshafen for a weekend or a few days, I would definitely go back to the Wirtshaus am See for dinner.

The food was really delicious and the cheese spaetzle is recommended! The restaurant is located right on the lake and has a very nice atmosphere and nice staff. The prices are not that cheap but the value for money is definitely there.

The inn right on Lake Constance is wonderful. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and a successful atmosphere. The cheese soup and the cheese spaetzle were very tasty and very large. They always say: dessert is always good, but not with these portions. 😂 Thanks for the delicious food, see you next time!

We visited the inn by the lake during our vacation. We were very enthusiastic about the furnishings and the overall modern ambience. We immediately felt comfortable. The food was very tasty, although a little higher priced, but overall the price-performance ratio was right for us. Very nice, authentic service. We'd love to come back. :)

I was in Friedrichshafen today on a business trip and saw this super nice restaurant on maps and went there to enjoy the view and the time. The restaurant, location and waiters were excellent. Communicative and very personable. BUT! As a lady, if you sit there alone, men will watch and stare at you. Until you ask what the problem is. UNPLEASANT!! You don't feel comfortable and you're just being watched.

Nice restaurant with nice waiters. My friend's starter and meal was also pretty good, although my pork knuckle wasn't even remotely crispy and was very wobbly. I think the restaurant is generally good, but unfortunately I was unlucky with my order.

I was here in January, when Friedrichshafen is still on winter vacation. s'Wirtshaus impresses with the extremely charming double doors indicating that there is an extra entrance in winter. This leads past the counter and the kitchen pass into the dining room. Both the kitchen and the counter appear tidy and tidy. The atmosphere between employees is respectful, humorous and friendly. The interaction with the guests is charmingly direct, but no less friendly. To drink I had the beer from the Steinkrug and to eat the starter mix with Obatzter and beef salad. The Obatzter was very creamy, the caraway was so hidden that you could taste it but not bite it. The beef salad was the highlight: so tender, so well balanced with vinegar and pumpkin seed oil, simply delicious. Incidentally, the ratio of bread to salad is even correct here. I absolutely recommend coming back on warmer days and filling yourself up with this dish without feeling full. I deducted the room temperature, the music and the walk past the counter and kitchen, even if these points of criticism are very subjective - but so are the positive aspects. :-)

An inn with excellent cuisine. We booked 2 nights here with half board. The apartment is nicely decorated and it was very clean. The food was excellent and always came very quickly. The breakfast was also excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful. A fantastically beautiful view from the balcony.

Nice little inn located right on the waterfront. Super nice staff. Food was very quick at the table. It was plentiful and tasted very good. When we are in the corner again we will definitely stop here again.

The food was good, the price was high but it was now okay for the food. After the meal, I found it outrageous to be asked whether it could be another ESPRESSO, which was priced at a whopping €3.20. Sorry, that just doesn't have to be the case!

No ice cream, even though around 25 people were registered and only 5 pieces of cake. It was stressful and onion roast was more like meat in onion sauce.

We were in town as tourists and came across this restaurant. We would come back here at any time. The food was really great and the atmosphere was very inviting too. The price-performance ratio is right here. The products were all fresh and regional and then the location... Simply a 10/10!!

Beautiful typical restaurant, waiter in traditional dress, beautiful decor. The menu offers traditional dishes, we ate a cordon bleu to die for and excellent little homemade apple fritters. The boss took care of us and he is really very friendly, he takes great care of his customers and even their four-legged companion. The service is efficient and fast. We had a great time and I have nothing to complain about. Be careful here too, the restaurants work in several services and therefore the table is only reserved for 1h30 for 2 people after which we kindly make it clear that it is time, but since the service is fluid it is not really a problem . I really recommend

Small, cozy inn with very tasty food. Due to the limited seating, the background noise was really pleasant, not what you would otherwise expect from a pub. Portions are very generous, you should definitely be full. The side salad would have been enough for 2. Outside seating is definitely nice in summer, as it's located right on the promenade. However, you cannot park directly on site, there is a parking garage that takes about 6 minutes to walk from. We'd love to come back.

We drove from Karlsruhe to Friedrichshafen to spend New Year's Eve there. A beautiful city. We wanted to have something for dinner which was very difficult as it was fully booked. Then we came across this beautiful restaurant which was of course completely booked. But the lady was very friendly and gave us a table and we were allowed to eat and drink. Of course we had limited time to eat since the table was reserved. Which was okay, of course. Are grateful for it. We had cheese spaetzle with a salad. Both were so indescribably delicious and eye-catching. Beautifully prepared, especially the salad was fresh, the dressing was top notch and prepared with love. And the cheese spaetzle oh my god. Everything was wonderfully delicious. Best cheese spaetzle eaten in a long time. Many thanks to the employees for allowing us to experience this experience. Kind regards from Karlsruhe. We will come again but this time we will reserve in advance😁

First of all, the positive: Beautiful location right on the lakeshore with a view of the water. However, in our opinion the food was rather average and the service was unfortunately quite unfriendly.

Staff seemed stressed. There were also discussions in front of us between the employees while waiting for seats. Food was good, especially the portion. Dessert was great too. Owner has a certain sense of humor and a way of dealing with things. It can seem disrespectful, but it's not.

The s'Wirtshaus am See is located directly on the shore of the Swabian Sea and therefore lives up to its name. The ambience is very modern, but seems a bit unfinished to me with the mix of wood and concrete. It is well visited by tourists. The prices can probably be described as normal, although I find them excessive for the quality offered. The service was very attentive and equally friendly. For me personally, he walked past our table a little too often. Our food came quickly and was hot. To me personally, the dish that was advertised as “homemade” seemed anything but that. Individual components were too reminiscent of convenience. As I said, it was my perception, which of course I could be wrong. All in all, I would come back here at any time to have a snack, drink a few beers and chat with friends.

It's a disgrace how they treat customers here. The waiter did not respond to our request to sit in the shade. We were literally sent away. Better go to the pizzeria next door. They welcome every customer warmly. And no, I wasn't the competition from next door but a guest!!!

We went there twice during our stay in the region and both times the food was simply fantastic! The people there are really very friendly and accommodating, the cheese spaetzle, the schnitzel, the cabbage and potato salad, as well as the roast and the bread dumplings with wild mushrooms were EXCELLENTLY GOOD! I would particularly like to emphasize the possibility of being able to order some or many dishes smaller!

Stay away, not a good experience! No table available online for two days, when you call only voicemail with no option to leave a message. Upon personal contact, we were informed that no table for two was available. Went by in person later - two people were sitting at a table for six, lots of seats left. We also enjoyed the pork knuckle on Friday evening and actually got in touch on time. The restaurant is also on the tourist mile. With our experience, we would absolutely advise everyone not to go there. Further away from the beach promenade there are definitely better Swabian restaurants with excellent service and a willingness to accept guests.

Locale molto curato, atmosfera elegante e piacevole. Abbiamo travato posto nella settimana del Fakuma, e questo di per se è un risultato positivo. I piatti sono ben curati, il personale gentile e attento. Io ho preso un filetto di Sandra su letto di zucca con riduzione di Riesling. Super ! I prezzi sono in linea con quel che si trova in Germania per questo livello di qualità.

It was a very nice evening. We wanted to pamper ourselves after a long journey and stopped at the inn by the lake (I did some research beforehand). We were immediately invited to the table (without a reservation), even though the restaurant is quite small and almost all the tables (around 12-15?) were occupied. The service was fantastic, very friendly gentleman, very polite and helpful. The ambience creates a very cozy atmosphere, the light is a pleasant yellow warm, you can hardly hear the guests at the neighboring table. And then our order came after about a 15-17 minute wait (woow) - our oldest is a teenager and he's always hungry. His portion (across the tavern) was huge, everything your heart could desire was on his plate. He was endlessly happy and enjoyed it fantastically. My fish (mushroom fillets on lentils) was also mmmm, especially the lentils were so tasty! The youngest ate schnitzel with wedges and immediately said: “The wedges have never been so good”. And a deer ragout from my husband was also brilliant! So, my dears, if you want to spoil your families - definitely come to the Wirtshaus am See! My son, the older one, was fascinated by the boys' quick work in the kitchen - it's open, so you can look in from some of the tables if you sit facing the kitchen. Thank you ✨😘👌
