Endleckeres Essen!!! Sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptgerichte wirklich unglaublich lecker und auch nicht ZU scharf. Ambiente innen wirklich ungemütlich und wie ein Imbiss. Draußen ist es aber im Sommer sehr nett. Service ist gut. Gerne wieder:)

Wir waren spontan vor Ort und bekamen ohne Probleme einen Tisch zugewiesen. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und das Essen ist sehr lecker.

Herausragende Qualität der Speisen, aufmerksamer Service, frische Zutaten, frische Gewürze. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unschlagbar! Waren zum ersten Mal heute durch Zufall hier und sind mehr als Zufrieden. Ambiente passt auch sehr gut und es ist sehr sauber!

Köstliches Essen und eine wirklich angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir holen uns regelmäßig Essen zum Mitnehmen, das zu den besten indischen Gerichten in und um Köln gehört.

Butter chicken with naan bread 10/10

We spontaneously decided to try an Indian restaurant. We weren't disappointed, quite the opposite! The service was very friendly, thorough, and quick. The food was delicious and plentiful. The cozy dining room is located in the entrance area, and beyond that is a somewhat larger hall. Aside from the wine bottles decorated on the walls (which is more reminiscent of an Italian restaurant) and the baroque wallpaper, including the tapestries, the ambiance is still inviting and tidy!

The heating wasn't on at the beginning of February. An electric heater was turned on later. The food was okay. I wouldn't eat there again. After the first drink, you had to actively order more. My friends and I didn't really enjoy the food and we won't be going back.

I've been there twice and both times the service was excellent, the manager was great, and the food was superb.

I went to Swagat for the first time with two friends to try it out. To be honest, we were disappointed. The restaurant and restrooms are modern and very clean. My friend and I shared a mixed pakora appetizer for two (24). The individual ingredients were quite bland. You could barely taste the Indian spices. For my main course, I had the Biral Grill Platter (56). Again, I found the ingredients very bland; they were hardly seasoned. You could barely taste the ginger and garlic paste. My friend had a mango curry (63), and she also said it was just average. The service was friendly, but inattentive. We sat at our table for quite some time without drinks, and this continued throughout the evening. As a guest, you had to actively ask for a drink. The dining room isn't so large that the staff couldn't keep an eye on things. I wouldn't eat there again. I imagine an Indian restaurant to be something different.

If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant, this should be your first choice in the area. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is simply fantastic. From the naan with its various dips to the main courses (especially the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, though of course, personal preference is key). We always look forward to visiting and are happy to offer takeout. It's super quick (about 25 minutes). Best Indian restaurant we know!

The food here was truly awful. The chicken in the dishes was like rubber and tasted really strange, so it wasn't even that bad that you got a liter of sauce with three tiny pieces of meat. All the dishes except mine were extremely sweet, as if tablespoons of honey had been added, and regardless of whether the dishes were labeled spicy or not, nothing was spicy at all. The presentation, the plates, etc., was also unappealing. The naan bread was only okay. The meal didn't include any other vegetables, basically just rice and sauce. For all of this, the prices are incredibly high; it was a complete disaster.

This was our first time at Swagat. The online reservation worked very well. The staff was aware of our reservation and we received a friendly welcome. The service staff is very attentive and efficient, and they explain dishes clearly. The homemade lemonades are delicious, and the food is colorfully presented, plentiful, and tasty. Unfortunately, the ambiance lacks an Indian touch; there was no music, and it was quite noisy at times.

You walk in and feel like you've stumbled into someone's living room. The naan was definitely a positive. Crispy crust, yet incredibly airy. However, the prices are completely out of whack. There are restaurants in the center of Cologne that are 20-30% cheaper and at least as good. Especially the appetizers for two – the price/performance ratio was almost an insult. The curry wasn't the flavor explosion you'd expect from Indian food; it was very, very bland. The Boti Masala was a little better, but significantly more expensive, and you wonder: what for? The service was a 90/10. We mostly had someone who was completely emotionless, just doing the bare minimum, while their colleague actually made an effort, smiling and being friendly. It's a shame he didn't serve us. We weren't even asked about dessert, probably for the best. The curry wasn't the flavor explosion you'd expect from Indian food. All in all, extremely disappointing, and unfortunately we would not recommend it.

Outstanding. In some village in Pulheim, you see an Indian restaurant. You think... oh well, good luck. And then you hear from everyone how great it is... and I can only confirm it. Authentic, delicious food with friendly service. ❤️ We live there now and come back often.

It was our first visit. It was quite good, but I have to say, it's ridiculous to charge €5 for a single samosa... other Indian restaurants offer better portion prices. Twonaans wasn't worth the price. I have to say, if this restaurant continues like this, it will slowly go downhill. It's okay to make a profit from the food they prepare, but they also have to understand that at some point it will become ridiculous and people will go elsewhere. Also, it took us about 40 minutes for our food, which is quite a long wait, especially when it's not that busy.

The comfortably furnished rooms and the pleasant covered terrace create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The restaurant is a family business run with a lot of passion. The owner and his wife often serve themselves and are always warm and attentive. The restaurant's culinary offerings are a welcome departure from many other Indian restaurants. The menu is varied and offers authentic specialties from North Indian cuisine – a true taste experience! Every week we look forward to our little escape with delicious food, attentive service, and an all-around cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Yesterday I had dinner at Swagat for the first time. I haven't eaten Indian food very often, maybe because I don't like spicy food. But yesterday was so great and delicious, I would like to share it here! I had a cauliflower curry with lamb and the other three dishes from my fellow guests were simply delicious and aromatic. The service is attentive and friendly, the rooms could be designed a little differently, for example with warm tones on the walls, that would be a great ambience. We would love to come back!

We were there for a birthday dinner and had reserved in advance. The food was very tasty and sufficient. We had mixed pakora, jalfrazi curry and others. The pankoras were OK but I've eaten them better. The curry had a slight spiciness to it. Overall everything is ok. What was a bit annoying was the ambience. I missed the Indian and some of the walls weren't plastered. The price-performance ratio wasn't quite there for us.

Great food in a beautiful courtyard, attentive service and a wide range of different dishes, enough for vegetarians. Had vegetarian vegetables, could have been spicier, but otherwise completely successful. Butter chicken is also highly recommended.

We had reserved a table in the small beer garden (inner courtyard). It's really nice there. The parking situation is a bit difficult, there is a public parking lot about 200 meters away. In our opinion, the service was optimal in terms of time and attention; As a high-level criticism, one could say that the employees could be a little more empathetic or humorous; would fit in with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the beer garden. The food also came without much delay. The food was super delicious; We had three different dishes and everyone was happy with the taste of their food. The portion size was perfectly fine. Finally, the expresso was also on point in terms of taste and temperature. We'll definitely be back.

We were in the restaurant in the beer garden, which is beautifully located in a small courtyard! The food was great. In my personal opinion, my dish could have been a little spicier (I had a dish with a level of spiciness of 3). The ambience was wonderful and the service was top! This was definitely not our last visit there!

We really enjoy eating here with our children. I don't really like Indian cuisine that much, but I can always find something here that I still like. I only gave it three stars for the ambience. I think the terrace outside is really nice. However, the ambience inside isn't particularly great and it's quite loud in the back room. But we won't let that stop us from eating here anyway.

In one eye the best restaurant in Pulheim! Even where I used to live in the middle of the city, there wasn't such good Indian food! I've already eaten both on site and to take away and was so incredibly satisfied! When I picked it up, the food was ready after 15 minutes! And super hot! I can absolutely recommend it!

I would like to be able to agree with the positive reviews, but unfortunately we were very disappointed on our first and only visit. The starter was onions bhaji, which unfortunately couldn't have been prepared in fresh oil, they tasted like old fat. The main course was lamb tikka sizzler and tandoori mix grill. According to the menu, “gorgeous (24 hour) marinated chef-style lamb”. I have no idea how tender young meat can get so dry and tough, but certainly not with a good marinade... The mixed grill was also a disappointment, except for the two shrimps, none of the pieces were cooked well, everything was dry and tough. Apart from the poor quality, the price/performance ratio of the dishes is also not right. 5 or 6 pieces of meat with naan on the side, that's it. The grated vegetables are more of a decoration than a side dish. For that, over €20 is pretty ambitious. In response to our appropriate but friendly complaint, we were then told that we should have ordered a curry, they would be better. Unfortunately, grilled dishes would often be dry and would not be particularly Indian, but would be expected by the guests. When we incredulously asked, it was confirmed that they cook more “German-Indian” here, to suit the tastes of their guests. As a guest, it's basically my own fault, I don't have to order anything that they can't do very well?!? Dear host, if I complain constructively, I don't expect you to waive my bill, but a small amount of compensation "on the house" can help to appease the angry guest instead of lecturing him. Why not ask your gastro colleagues how they handle something like this... Instead, in addition to the instruction, my change was, strictly speaking, “stolen” from me. Because if I wordlessly give them €80 on a bill of €78.50 without saying “that’s right” or “the rest is for them”, I actually expect my change back. In my opinion they didn't deserve a tip. So much for the great service that has been praised so often. It's a shame, I would have been happy to find a good Indian restaurant nearby, unfortunately I have to keep looking. Lassi and naan were delicious and you can sit quite nicely in the courtyard. Unfortunately that doesn't help, we were completely disappointed and the service was a bad joke.

Have ordered and picked up food 5 times now. It really is incredibly delicious. I can only recommend it to every fan of Indian food Namaste
