SUSHIKO in Frankfurt am Main

Used to be one of my favourite places. Came to have a quick bite at lunch time. The kitchen was closed 15 minutes before their closing time. Got a box to take away for 20 Euros. The sushi got a lot smaller and the taste was somewhat blunt. Nothing like it used to be.

The meal here was truly fantastic. All staff are always smiling and always kindly answer any questions. Additionally, the taste and quality of all Sushiko menu items are absolutely guaranteed. The sashimi menu is surprisingly fresh, and the rice bowl menu combines all the ingredients well to create a delicious and filling meal. In particular, grilled scallops have a fantastic buttery flavor and taste fantastic. Without a doubt, Sushiko is the best sushi restaurant in Frankfurt. I really highly recommend it.

Most unfriendly service I have experienced in a long time. We were looking for a table at 1800 - restaurant was almost empty with reservations starting at 1930… Staff didn’t seem to want our business and turned us away. Sad.

I love this sushi place. The service is excellent. The place is a bit small though.

Try to get a seat, because this place serves some of the best sushi around. The flavors are surprisingly experimental, and the portions are actually filling, which isn’t always the case with sushi.

The classic Japanese restaurant with a large selection of sushi and sashimi. The quality is beyond any doubt. The ambience is reduced to the bare essentials but definitely “cozy”. Service staff is very friendly and “always trying hard” 😁. If you can speak Japanese everything is fine or you speak English then it gets bumpier and with German it's more or less over. Luckily there is the boss who takes care of everything. Very clever and quite energetic for a “Japanese woman”. Then it works! But it also means that you sometimes have to wait a little longer for your order. Almost situational comedy. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant evening. Be sure to reserve in advance! Very busy in the evenings.

There were two of us and we were very excited. The food was great, the service was very nice. Sometimes communication wasn't so easy, but everything worked out. The wine was also very good and the price was reasonable. We can definitely recommend it.

Went there today and the sushi was inedible for the price. The service was extremely unfriendly and not patient at all. In addition, you had to wait over an hour to get your food served cold. Not a recommendation from me and will not enter the restaurant a second time.

Perhaps we got all the wrong things, but canned tuna in a spicy tuna roll was simply unacceptable. The rolls are huge, too much rice not enough fish content, lots of filler. The other dishes looked rather nice. I would not come here for sushi.

Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Frankfurt. The sashimi was of excellent quality, it literally melts in your mouth. The service is also polite and the atmosphere is nice. A clear recommendation.

July 19th I call at 6:00 p.m. The plan was to reserve a table for two at 8:30 p.m. The lady said that it was very crowded at this time and asked if it was ok for us to eat inside. That was totally fine for us and we reserved a table for 9 p.m. so that it wouldn't be as crowded. My table at 9 p.m. was no longer there because it was registered at 8:30 p.m.???! Unfortunately, when I said that there was a misunderstanding I was told at 8:53 p.m. that there was no more food because the kitchen was closed, even though according to the website the kitchen prepared food until 9:30 p.m. I will also rate the service and the food, which I didn't have, with one star because I can't believe we were treated like that. Yes, the criticism is too harsh but I don't lie to my guests!

50 Prozent Preiserhöhung für die Menüs innerhalb eines Jahres ist meines Erachtens zu viel und auch nicht durch die Erhöhung der Mehrwertsteuer gerechtfertigt. Trotz befriedigender Qualität deshalb nur noch 2 Sterne.

I love sushi, I had a great time!

For me it has been a constant for top sushi in Frankfurt for years. Whether for lunch, in the evening or as a take-away. Very fresh and tasty sushi and a harmonious atmosphere. My wife loves the Spice Tuna Rolls, I like the Shake & Avocado Maki and our daughter loves the Udon Noodle Soup

I came here to try around Japanese restaurants in Frankfurt. Sushi plate was 32 EUR. The price was ok, given that the quality could be better. The waitress was very nice and tried to fulfill our wishes towards the food; although some misunderstanding occurred but we still appreciate her help. Another waiter was somehow very quiet and didn’t really talk with us while arranging the payment etc, which seemed a bit distant.

Everything that is prepared here is really fresh and of the highest quality. However, I found the portions to be relatively small for the price. The staff is very nice.

We had a lovely Saturday dinner at Sushiko. To start, we ordered the edamame, which was steamed and fresh. We also started with the Ebi (shrimp) gyozas, and the chili chicken, totally recommended. For entrees, we ordered the Negitoro Gunkan (tuna) and the spicy tuna maki. We loved the Negitoro so much that we ordered it a second time. However, we did not like the spicy tuna maki at all. It was deep fried, with cooked tuna and topped with mayo and sriracha, just not my thing. The service was pretty good, and the staff were really friendly.

Very friendly and quick service. The eel was very very good. The sushi was fresh and very tasty. The dessert (ice cream) also tasted very good. This was my second time eating here and I will definitely come back.

If you want to taste the classics of sushi, it's the place to go. The fish is fresh, and everything is tasty. The only thing I didn't like as much was the Spicy Tuna Roll.

I've known Sushiko for more than 13 years now and I'm really disappointed by the changes 😞 I think the decision to generally no longer rely on a band is wrong, but that is not fundamentally decisive for me. The quality of the food is high, but it used to be on a completely different level. The prices are appropriate, but that's okay. The service was really unfortunate on my last visit. We ordered menus, which all came at different times (15 minutes apart), parts of the orders were forgotten. This can happen at some point, but you can ignore it. But what was really annoying and unnecessary, and not acceptable at this level, is that the waitress was seriously ill. Cough, sneeze and blow your nose 3 times a minute and then bring the food. That really spoiled our appetite and ruined the visit.

Früher war das Sushiko bekannt für sein Sushi-Laufband am Tresen, eine originelle und interaktive Art, Sushi zu genießen. Vor etwa vier oder fünf Jahren hat das Restaurant jedoch einen bemerkenswerten Umbau durchlaufen, wobei es sich von einem Laufband-Konzept zu einem exklusiven À-la-carte-Restaurant wandelte. Atmosphäre: Trotz der Veränderungen hat das Sushiko seine einladende und unkomplizierte Atmosphäre beibehalten. Das neu gestaltete Ambiente bietet ein modernes und doch gemütliches Esserlebnis, das ideal für Sushi-Liebhaber ist. Update: Went in today and had a good conversation with one of the managers. Got my to-go order and left. The food was great, like normal. Will keep stopping in occasionally and hope the service issues are corrected. ——————————- Don’t waste your time! Been coming here for 8+ years until summer of 2021. They had a large group they had to attend to and said they could not serve us outside when they were open another hour. I walked in and saw the group was already eating. Did not come back for over 2 years. Was in the area and decided to give them another chance. Walked in and was told the kitchen was closed 20 minutes before the lunch hours closed. Wow! Definitely will never go there again. Food is great, but their attitude has been horrible at times since they remodeled years ago.

-Die Stimmung war so schön -Kein nahe Parkplatz -Die Toilette war sehr sauber -Alle Mitarbeiter sind freundlich (gutes Service) (Persönliche Meinung: basierend auf Geschmack) -Die Udon-Suppe war äußerst reichhaltig und süß. Deshalb kann ich keine anderen Geschmacksrichtungen wirklich schmecken. Der einzige Unterschied zwischen dem Gemüse-Udon und dem Tempura-Udon waren die Beläge. -Auch die Gemüsesauce (Salat), die zum Udon-Menü gehörte, war zu süß. -Die Portionen sind im Vergleich zu anderen Sushi-Restaurants bisschen klein und bei den Beilagen scheint etwas zu fehlen…Also wäre es schöner und besser, wenn die Beilagen zum Hauptgericht verschieden gut passend anbieten könnten.

Ogólnie wszystko na plus , jedzenie bardzo smaczne, dobrej jakości, kucharze mega (!!!!), uprzejmość wszystkich ludzi z personelu w lokalu była na bardzo wysokim poziomie, klimat, nastrój, bardzo bardzo przyjemnie i myślę że znowu pewnie tam wrócimy. Podczas wizyty dwa razy pomylono nasze zamówienie, ale cóż, zdarza się każdemu, to nie problem ( raz - czekaliśmy bardzo długo i okazało się że zapomnieli wydać jednego z dań a dwa- jeden z trzech zamówionych deserów okazał się kompletnie innym , którego nawet nie brałam pod uwagę przy zamawianiu ) stąd brak napiwku.

Nettes kleines Restaurant, guter Service und vor allem sehr frisches und leckeres Sushi. Nach der Bestellung wurden wir freundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass es etwas dauern kann, bis wir unser Essen bekommen, war kein Problem für uns und empfanden den Hinweis als sehr zuvorkommend. Allerdings ist die Geräuschkulisse schon arg, aber gut, muss man ausblenden. Werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Alles in Allem ok, jedoch war mir persönlich zu viel Reis beim Sushi!

Ich habe diesem Restaurant eine zweite Chance gegeben, da vor 1-2 Jahren das Essen sowie der Service nicht konkurrenzfähig war. Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen bin ich noch mal hin. Man muss sagen, dass die Damen, die mich bedient haben, sehr nett waren. Kein Vergleich zum früher. Das Essen ist nach wie vor sehr mittelmäßig. Der Salat sah ganz anders aus wie auf dem Bild. Lachs und Avocado sehr dünn geschnitten. Die Miso Suppe war OK. Aber habe auch viel bessere gegessen. Das Sushi haben leider gar nicht wirklich geschmeckt. Die Zutaten waren jedoch alle frisch.

Das Restaurant ist nicht sehr gross und besteht aus einem Raum. Vielleicht ca 8 Tische im Innenraum. Alles wirkt asiatisch und geschmackvoll. Durch die vielen Fenster wirkt der Raum auch hell und freundlich.Außen gibt es weitere Tische am Gebäude. Etwas besonderes ist die Klingel an den Tischen. Ein Mitarbeiter kommt umgehend! Ich denke das Signal geht auf deren Mobil Geräte. Das Essen hat etwas gedauert und kam bei uns auch nicht für alle gleichzeitig. War aber akzeptabel. Das Sushi war sehr gut und frisch und mit viel Sorgfalt gemacht. Muss hier herausheben das die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, sehr bemüht und kompetent waren. Sie zeigen eine gewisse Ruhe und Professionalität. Die Toiletten machen einen sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. Die wirkt etwas versteckt! Man geht durch den ganzen Raum kurz vor der Küche rechts. WC steht auch an der Tür.

Das Sushi ist das beste vom besten! Für den Preis gehe ich auch gerne dort essen. Auch supercool das man in die Küche gucken kann. Ich bin auch ein Fan davon das man das Laufband entfernt hat denn so kann man sich viel besser unterhalten und es wirkt dann eher als Restaurant und nicht als Imbiss.

Naar aanleiding van de veelbelovende reviews zijn wij als sushi-lovers hier gaan eten. Wij vonden de sushi helaas matig van smaak. De presentatie was goed, maar smaak helaas niet super. De sushi had teveel rijst in verhouding. De temaki had weinig smaak en de zalm was van matige kwaliteit. Dit kan allemaal veel beter! Bediening en sfeer was wel top. Heel vriendelijk, snel en locatie is goed.

Schlechtester Service ever. Das Essen kommt im Schnitt erst in zwei Stunden. Keine Entschuldigung, einfach dreist und unhöflich

Das Essen war sehr ausgeglichen. Selbst nachdem man satt ist hat man nicht das Gefühl man würde zu voll sein. Das Essen war wirklich sehr sehr lecker und alle Zutaten waren Frisch. Wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder.

I would have loved to give 5 stars but the dish I had was less in quantity. There are such nice Japanese teas so it was a pity to just receive a simple tea bag. I know those things are small things but I am sure you can do better. :)

Tolles Sushi, schneller Service, Japan at its best!

Wir sind spontan ins Sushiko eingekehrt. Ein Tisch steht ausserhalb des Restaurants zur Verfügung, welchen wir gerne genutzt haben. Hervorragende Küche. Super Auswahl an japanischen Tapas und Sushi. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
