By far one of the best, most authentic, and most delicious all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants we've ever visited. The sushi and all the other dishes are incredibly tasty and prepared to a high standard. An extremely friendly and genuine Japanese couple runs the restaurant with so much love. We were there today with our 1.5-year-old son, and even he loved it. The food is served in a very authentic "running" sushi style. The dishes are freshly prepared and are still warm when they come off the conveyor belt. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Sushi from the conveyor belt, all fresh and prepared openly by a Japanese sushi master, with excellent value for money. We enjoy coming here time and time again because the quality of the sushi always impresses us. If something isn't 100% right or is missing, you can ask, and your request is quickly fulfilled. The advantage of running sushi is that you can choose what you like and take the amount you want. It's also ideal for sampling, as there are only 1-2 pieces on each plate. As I said, if you have a request, you can ask, and it will be fulfilled. You can watch the preparation and see that everything is fresh and clean. It can happen that individual plates are on the conveyor belt for a longer time and then may no longer be warm (e.g., edamame and fried foods), but these are rare occurrences. The ambiance loses one star because not every seat is ideal and it can be very cramped in places. Otherwise, a clear recommendation!

We've been coming back for several years now, and we're happy to drive the distance. I have a few allergies, etc., and so I don't like eating out. But after every visit to Sushi Ichi, I feel really good! The selection is rather small, but really delicious. Fish, meat, soups, sushi—I can recommend everything ❤️ The shop is also quite small, which is a huge plus for me. The music, the volume, the smell, the ambiance... We feel very comfortable there and hope to come back again this year 👍

Absolutely recommended, especially for people with celiac disease (my daughter reacts to even the smallest amounts)! The sushi is superbly high quality, and the salmon simply melts in your mouth. They provided us with gluten-free soy sauce and prepared special alternatives breaded with potato flour. Add to that a wonderful atmosphere and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back soon!

It was just before closing time. They told us they didn't have a second chef, but we asked, and they let us in. I can honestly say I had the most amazing sushi I've ever had. We went as a family, and my kids loved it and had a blast. The staff is very warm, friendly, and genuine. The prices are very reasonable, clean, and delicious.

Greatest sushi place I’ve ever been to. There was such a huge variety of sushi, you didn’t even have to wait long for what you want, since there is so much sushi on the conveyor belt. I was full before my all-you-can-eat time was even up. Definitely worth the price. The staff was incredibly friendly too and you even get matcha ice on the house as dessert! 100/10, my favorite place and will definitely recommend!

Surprisingly high quality for an all-you-can-eat meal! Fresh, tender salmon nigiri and crispy karaage, just like in an à la carte restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The homemade matcha ice cream was a perfect finishing touch. Highly recommended!

Best sushi place I have been to! On top of that it’s all you can eat and low price at that. Even drinks are cheap, which is super rare for all you can eat places. Food is made right in front of you and a joy to watch Fresh salmon for the sake, which was delicious! Cash only, but would definitely recommend and will be returning when I am in Köln again! I've been here twice. Great hospitality and nigiri sushi. Although it's aimed at Germans, Japanese people can enjoy it without any problems. It's a pain to fry fried chicken myself, so it's helpful to be able to eat it here. I was impressed with the salmon nigiri! You can also order Japanese beer.

My absolute favorite sushi restaurant; I would always recommend it. During peak times, everything is naturally a bit fresher, which is when I like going there the most. Very friendly staff and really good food. It's not a huge place, but that's precisely what gives it its charm. One small flaw, which is certainly the case with any conveyor belt sushi place, is that with more than two people, it's difficult to have a conversation because you're sitting next to each other. Otherwise, it's really amazing and always a good evening.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the selection at the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. When we arrived, the conveyor belt was still very full, serving only maki rolls, rolls, fried spring rolls, and gyoza. The rolls were all quite simple: just salmon and surimi, not a single piece of tuna. There weren't too many types of rolls either, with a maximum of six or seven different fillings, which was really disappointing. Not a single nigiri! Only when someone asked for it were a few plates of salmon nigiri placed on the conveyor belt. When we politely asked for tuna, they were, of course, out of stock that day, but I think they never offer tuna there. All in all, the taste wasn't anything special. The ladies serving were nice, the place was clean, but the sushi wasn't worth repeating. We'd rather walk a few meters further, where there's a much wider selection at the all-you-can-eat restaurant, and it tastes better, too.

The sushi was absolutely outstanding – fresh, creatively presented, and a true taste experience. The special rolls and the sashimi platter were particularly impressive. You can immediately tell that great attention to detail goes into the preparation. The beverage selection was also impressive – from Japanese beer to homemade iced tea, everything was harmonious and delicious. I can recommend Ichi Sushi to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Japanese food in a stylish setting. I will definitely be back.

Great all you can eat place run by Japanese. Friendly staff and great selection. Westernized but tasty sushi and other small Japanese tapas style dishes. Reservation recommended as it can get quite crowded. If you don’t have a seat at the counter, you need to walk up to the belt every time tho. Cash only. Time limit 2h

For sushi, the price/performance ratio is unbeatable. Of course, the sushi isn't top-notch, but it's exactly what you'd expect from "all-you-can-eat sushi." The location is very central.

I was in Cologne on a business trip. It was my fifth day away from Japan and I was craving rice as well as meat. This restaurant is run by a Japanese couple who have lived in Germany for over 20 years. As it's not geared towards Japanese people, there were a lot of rolls, but the food was delicious and satisfying. Thank you. The prices were reasonable too.

When you go after 19:00, they don't make and serve fresh Sushi. If you go until 18:00, all kinds of Sushi are available. If you make a reservation after 19:00, that's okay, but if you come there after 19:00, please don't make them eat your old ones...

The best sushi restaurant 🍣 in Cologne. We love coming here. It's always fully booked every time we come. Without a reservation, it's very difficult to find space for more than two people. Excellent quality for fresh fish. The salmon nigiri are fantastic, but unfortunately there are far too few. Depending on where you sit or who you're sitting behind, you don't get much of a portion. Especially when guests reach for the conveyor belt and don't wait. But that's just a matter of luck with running sushi.

I was there recently with a Japanese friend who had been recommending this place to me for a while. I've lived in Japan myself and have rarely eaten very good sushi outside of Japan (and it's all-you-can-eat). The sushi is freshly made by the Japanese sushi chef and placed on the conveyor belt. The value for money is simply outstanding!

This is my first time eating salmon sushi of this quality in Germany.. ❤️ Look at the size of the salmon and the amount of rice. The owner makes it so generously 🥹 Among other sushi restaurants in Germany, there are some that purposely put in a lot of rice, but this place is different. It is really, really as delicious as the salmon sushi you eat in Korea. There is no fishy smell at all, it is rich, light, not salty, and it is just the best. The owner is also very kind, and the cleanliness and atmosphere are great! It was a meal that was satisfying in every way. ❤️

Always happy to come back. It's not a star restaurant, but it doesn't want to be. Price/performance is top! Hasn't raised prices in a while and only asks for cash payment.

High quality, delicious sushi and more! It's quite an experience to sit on a continuous production line. Sometimes you have to be quick and take down a few stacks of plates, but it's also fun. There are always new creations/dishes coming out of the kitchen. I liked that there was usually one sushi per plate and that you could try more. Unfortunately, there is a star deduction because there is no menu and you don't know what exactly is on the tape. Breaded, hot dishes in particular were difficult to guess. There is also the option to order other types of sushi, but you would have to know which ones in your head. In addition, some plates were only available at the beginning and later not at all. So it's also a matter of luck, which shouldn't be the case. Dishes that were originally hot had cooled down due to the long wait on the conveyor belt and unfortunately didn't taste as good anymore. At the end there was a small portion of matcha ice cream, which was a good ending. There were also hot bananas in batter, which were unfortunately very oily. The staff was very very friendly. It is advisable to make reservations, especially on weekends.

Made a reservation here for my birthday and everything was perfect. The variety of sushi on the conveyor belt was excellent, with an extensive range of rolls, nigiri, and gunkan. The chefs on duty were all japanese and super polite, constantly pushing out fresh tempura, karaage, and unique desserts from the kitchen. Highlights of our night were the unagi nigiri, maguro nigiri, aburi salmon nigiri, as well as the chicken and salmon karaage. Salmon karaage was served freshly fried from the kitchen, and was crispy on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside. Absolutely amazing. Service was excellent. If a type of sushi was not available on the belt, I could simply request it from the staff and the chef would make the sushi fresh for us. It was amazing service with a smile. I paired the sushi with their Kirin beer from the tap, which was fresh, crispy and delicious. Amazing experience. It was only last night, and we woke up thinking about it already in the morning.

Other sushi and rolls were ordinary, but the salmon sushi was delicious because the salmon was thick, and the gunkan roll with salmon tataki was so delicious that I ate several plates!

It has been a while since my partner and I genuinely went home happy and satisfied after dinner. It started with the reservation; we wanted to arrive pretty late and were then advised to come a bit earlier so we don’t miss out on the good sushis. Once we arrived, they had already set up our chopsticks at the best spot we could’ve asked for. The sushi was simply amazing, the green tea was very warming and helped with digesting. The level of friendliness, coziness and warmth that came from the staff honestly cleared my mind from the chaotic day I had. Thank you for the homely feel. I can’t wait to visit again.

It was delicious and the staff was super nice. I've never been to Japan, but I think you get a little closer to Japan here. In my opinion, the All You Can Eat is not worth it for vegetarians as most of the sushi rolls contain fish.

My son turned 16 and wanted sushi. When I searched Google for best sushi in Cologne, this restaurant quickly came up several times. I can only confirm that! Although I'm not really a big sushi fan, I tried a lot and it was fantastic. There were also plenty of other delicacies that were always freshly prepared. The owners are very, very nice and my son was given a wonderful gift at the end. Rarely have I been welcomed so warmly! We will definitely come back again and again! It couldn't be better!

It was the most delicious sushi I had in Europe. Especially the salmon is really fresh and delicious,,, Actually, this is my third visit and they are always so friendly. The atmosphere of the store is quiet and very nice. He knew very well that Koreans like salmon, so if I kept eating salmon, he would make new salmon and keep serving it to me, and later on, he would even serve it to me lol. Very friendly staff, super delicious food. I found the prices to be completely ok for all you can eat.

We've been here several times and have always been very satisfied, but the last time we came here was at 8:30 p.m. and we were pretty disappointed! Of course there were fewer dishes on the conveyor belt, but after 9 p.m., i.e. after 30 minutes, there was nothing new and at 9:30 p.m. we got the information that it would be closing soon... plus this time it was a total failure for our vegetarian friends who came only 2x spring rolls! We still paid the full price, almost €30 per person, because for the last hour there were only bananas and salmon maki on the conveyor belt! A drink was forgotten and from 9:15 p.m. there was no more service. If there was a special price, okay, but we won't be coming here for dinner anymore.

I went there to eat at 6:30 p.m. and just 30 minutes later no new rolls were added to the line. Rather, the cook was busy preparing a nice plate for himself. Disgraceful for the money. P.S. used to be a regular and satisfied

I really can't fault this shop, the interior design and music are perfect, the employees are very friendly, you just feel comfortable and in terms of quality it is the best all you can eat sushi you can get in Cologne. You are served a variety of different types of sushi and other Japanese dishes and can also express your wishes, so it's really one of my favorite restaurants in Cologne!!

Fantastic sushi. A small and very cozy shop where you immediately feel at home. Rich buffet with all kinds of sushi. We had a very nice evening there. For me one of the most authentic sushi restaurants in Cologne. Delicious every time. Friendly staff and at moderate prices. The sushi fish selection varies and is usually limited to 3 to 4 different fish. The variety of different sushi is of course much larger. Even though it is a sushi restaurant, the Teryaki skewers gave me the biggest flashback to Japan. As a vegetarian you can get your own sushi platter with various vegetarian sushi.

The food is amazing. Great quality sushi for the price, and also very generous portion sizes. They use a lot of fish! Staff only spreaks German though. But it is very much worth it. Also be sure to reserve a spot before going.
