Gamie - Fine Sushi & Asian Fusion in Köln

We always love coming here to eat when we're nearby :) the food is always delicious, the prices and portions are reasonable and the service is always very friendly 🙈 our absolute favorite restaurant!

Unfortunately, I cannot understand the good reviews here. Two of us went to this restaurant today and ordered two expensive dishes. One tuna for 22.90 and one duck for 20.90, very nicely advertised with guacamole, wild herb salad and the typical crust. Unfortunately, none of this was on the plate 😞 The salad was like the packaged salad from the discount store, 3 slices of avocado, cold and plain tuna and BOTH dishes in a horribly artificial tasting sauce. When I mentioned this to the server, I was just given a shrug of the shoulders, no apology, no discount, nothing. I have never eaten so badly for 61 euros. I would not recommend it at all and it's a real shame. The ambience is actually very pleasant.

I've been to Myami twice now because it's open late and is located right near the Motel One Altstadt. On my last visit, I arrived at the restaurant very late and was glad I still got something to eat because I was really hungry. I ordered the Mama Mango with chicken. While my dish looked appealing with the sauce and carved carrot, the chicken lacked a crispy surface. It didn't look freshly seared. Instead, it seemed more like it had been gently cooked or warmed up and then generously coated with sauce. The vegetables were crunchy, no question – but I would have expected more freshness and bite, especially from the meat. It was also noticeable that the dish arrived extremely quickly for the second time, leaving the impression that it had been pre-cooked and only briefly warmed up. The service was positive: very friendly and attentive; there's nothing to complain about. You'll fill up quickly here, too, and it's perfect for those with a very large appetite. But for me personally, it ended up being something in between—nice, but lacking the spark that would make it a real highlight. The ambiance is nice, but overall feels rather cold. I haven't tried sushi yet; the prices are on the higher end, and you'd have to be sure that the quality reflects that.

Best duck I've ever eaten, I'm happy to spend a little more. Friendly service.

Super fast and very tasty, premium food

Sorry but not up to other reviews. Wontons rock solid, tempura prawns same as we had at a tapas a few days ago.

I had Mama Mango with chicken, and I can only say it was perfect. Everyone was very satisfied.

We haven't had such good Asian food in a long time. Great service, super delicious food. Three of us ate our way through the menu and were truly impressed. The duck is our recommendation, cooked medium-rare and simply delicious.

The tastiest sushi I had in my entire life!!!!! Totally recommend this place!!!!! The service is perfect!!!! The food was fresh !!!! You can pay with you card (In some German places they only accept cash) We were there a Saturday night and the place wasn’t overly crowded. The tables are far away from each other so can actually enjoy a discussion without having strangers ears dropping haha. Perfect for couples, friends and family. Maybe a reservation is necessary. But when we were there they accepted us without it :) so yeah! As I said if I ever come back to Cologne. I’ll definitely come back here.

Rolls are the best, the fish is very tasty and tender. Mango lassi is also very good. The only downside to the evening was the dirty straw that was brought to me in my drink. But they quickly replaced it, so there was almost nothing that spoiled the dinner. I definitely can recommend this place!

Excellently freshly made. Full without feeling overfed. Pleasant atmosphere. My wife is punished enough with gluten and hystamine intolerance. It went without any problems. So definitely fresh ingredients.

Really great Asian restaurant in the heart of Cologne. Whether it's Vietnamese cuisine or sushi - everything is delicious and high quality. And the team is also very friendly and very accommodating. We always like to come back!

We were a bit skeptical at first due to the low number of visitors to the restaurant. Luckily we got in after all. Absolutely Fanatical Food! Caution! Little sushi. Main dishes like roast duck were incredibly good. Almost impossible for the price. Gladly again!

Came across this restaurant by chance on a city trip and were more than thrilled. I haven't eaten something so tasty in a long time. The prices are right and the service is very nice. When we're back in town we'll be happy to come back.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. Despite reservations, we had a long wait. It took 30-40 minutes for the order to be taken, the drinks didn't arrive until half an hour later, and we then had to wait another hour for the food. That was really frustrating. The service seemed overwhelmed and overall the organization was not good. It's a shame, because we were actually looking forward to a pleasant evening.

We had reserved and got our place straight away. After 20 minutes our order was taken. After another 20 minutes we got our drinks. It took about an hour until we had the sushi, even though the shop wasn't very full. The food itself was delicious, but the service was visibly overwhelmed and couldn't keep up.

This restaurant is a little insider tip! This is a great place to stop off after a day of shopping. It's not overcrowded and it's easy to get a spot since it's a bit out of the way. We have been here several times now and are always very satisfied. The food is very fresh and very tasty. For €50 you get delicious drinks, a starter and a main course for two people.

For me an “insider tip” beyond Cäcilienstrasse Mama Mango - very tasty and lovingly prepared. Pho B0- also very tasty The dishes are adapted for European palates - but that does NOT make it any less tasty. Be sure to try the homemade lemonades (ginger). Ideal after shopping in the city - beyond the well-known old town paths. We'll be back!

I didn't originally intend to rate it, but after reading the restaurant's feedback from other people, I corrected it. I'm also the one who attended the party on Sunday, I don't know why you guys check the cam to see everyone eating happily, everyone talking to each other happily but not eating 😅 going to a party to meet friends is probably just for the food. sat and frowned at each other 🤣 and everyone present had the same opinion that the food was VERY bad 😅😅 the only dish that was okay was sticky rice. I personally tried 2 snails in a bowl and both of them died. I'm sure the goat meat at the restaurant didn't have much left on the plate because everyone tried it, but they couldn't eat it and had to spit it out or try to swallow it 😂 soup is an appetizer. The taste was good but it was served in the middle of the party, not hot and thin like soup.... Some of my friends who had booked a party here had the same feeling and didn't come back. I don't know if anyone has commented on the restaurant. I will delete this review when necessary, but I'll leave it here so you can read less conservatively, not just you below who have a bad view of the restaurant! Hope you will accept and amend.

I've never gone out to eat and been disappointed like this. Brown food is so bad. Yesterday, out of 40 people, no one praised the food. The goat's skin was as tough as rubber. The tamarind sauce was rotten. Even though it smelled like a corpse, it was still okay to give it to the customers. When responding to feedback, there were a few complaints. The baby died. The baby was still delicious. The owner brought the baby in and tried it and said. It was delicious. She ate it all. Meanwhile, it was a customer's order. She didn't ask for forgiveness or compensation. She only tried to find a way to defend it.

Food was top and fresh. We sat outside, which is on the street but we still had a cozy dinner. Since there was a closed group inside, the service took a little longer but was friendly. Salmon was juicy and the sauce was delicious. Unfortunately the beef was well done and not medium rare like the picture on the menu but still tasty. The summer rolls with baked shrimp were great! All in all, we would love to come back.

Unfortunately we didn't like it that much, my mango lassi was full of ice so I couldn't drink it at all. I complained about it and got a new one with a little less ice. We ate gyoza, our soy sauce was completely over salted and we only got cutlery after we were finished. The salad had red lint on it. So unfortunately not so nice

What a night out this was. This place is an absolute gem. Quiet, nice, ridiculously well priced and amazing recipes. It starts by just holding the menu - you can tell a lot of work went into this place. We had the summer rolls, mango mama duck and a bunch of sushi. Don't miss out on the homemade lemonade drinks. If I had five nights in Köln I would try out five different ones.

The sashimi is not worth it. We order a mix of rolls and sashimi and was disappointed with the tuna sashimi; it tasted and looked as a defrosted piece of tuna. We complained and the waitress try to be helpful and kind and brought us another piece of tuna and despite being slightly more tender it wasn’t good. The rolls were fine and the atmosphere great.

Friendly service, but that was it. The lettuce in the rolls was wilted, some of it already rotten. The sushi wasn't freshly prepared and the rice was completely dry. The ambience is okay, but the cleanliness definitely leaves something to be desired, and there is also a strange smell at times. Due to the many, some very positive, reviews, we came here with some expectations and were probably particularly disappointed.

I kept checking Myami but never got around to going in. Today I took the chance and had red coconut curry with tofu for lunch - because I basically test basics. It was a mistake not to have made the dish earlier - the tofu was perfectly crispy and incredibly good. You now have a new customer. Thank you 🙏
