Surya Restaurant in München

Absolut lächerlicher Service bei Surya. Ich wollte telefonisch bestellen, aber mir wurde ernsthaft gesagt, die Strecke sei „zu weit“ – wir reden hier von gerade mal 4,7 km bzw. etwa 8 Minuten Fahrt. Selbst nachdem ich das erklärt habe, wurde einfach stur abgelehnt. Der größte Witz: Über Lieferando hätte ich problemlos bestellen können. Also habe ich es darüber versucht – und durfte dann erstmal 25 Minuten warten, nur damit die Bestellung am Ende einfach kommentarlos storniert wird. So einen schlechten und unprofessionellen Service habe ich selten erlebt. Kunden erst warten lassen und dann absagen – geht gar nicht. Wenn 4,7 km schon ein Problem sind, sollte man vielleicht gar keinen Lieferservice anbieten. Absolut enttäuschend und definitiv nicht zu empfehlen.

Ich bestelle hier regelmäßig und bin sehr zufrieden mit der Zuverlässigkeit – das Essen kommt immer pünktlich an. Geschmacklich würde ich 4/5 Sterne geben, solide Qualität. Als ich einmal vor Ort war, habe ich sogar einen Lassi geschenkt bekommen, was ich sehr nett fand. Insgesamt ein gutes indisches Restaurant, bei dem man nichts falsch macht.

Ich habe online über Lieferando bestellt. Nach 2 Stunden warten wurde meine Bestellung ohne Kommentar oder Kontaktaufnahme storniert. Genau das selbe ist uns bei der letzten Bestellung hier passiert, die aber schon mehrere Jahre zurück liegt. Hat sich scheinbar nichts geändert.

Wir haben Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt, sagen wir mal, das Restaurant war recht gut, das Butterhuhn war ausgezeichnet, das Gemüse war gut, aber etwas roh, die Naan-Wraps waren gut.

Super schönes und modernes Restaurant mit so leckerem Essen. Wir freuen uns jedes mal aufs Neue. Der Service ist hervorragend. Liebe Grüße von der Frau die immer das vegetarische Gericht mich Chicken bestellt.

Seit November unter neuem Namen (Masala Noir), aber das Essensangebot ist scheinbar das alte. Es fehlt jegliche Würze und Schärfe. Mit indischem Essen hat das nicht im Entferntesten zu tun. Schmeckt nach Gemüse in verlängertem Tomatenmark.

Ein wirklich tolles indisches Restaurant! Das Essen ist frisch, authentisch und voller Geschmack. Besonders der Honey Potato als Vorspeise war einfach fantastisch – süß, würzig und perfekt zubereitet. Auch der Strawberry Lassi hat richtig überzeugt – super cremig und erfrischend, genau das Richtige zum Essen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, und das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das Essen war hervorragend und der Besitzer ist ein sehr netter Mensch. Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Das Essen war eher mittelmäßig. Kadai Paneer bedeutete einfach nur Paprika und Paneer in vorgefertigte Soße – die Paprika war knackig und roh. Das Lassi war verwässert. Der Service war erstklassig, das Essen schnell und heiß. Ich war hungrig, und es hat seinen Zweck erfüllt.

Essen ist fad. In der Karte stand extra scharf, aber das sollte wohl heißen nicht scharf. Auch so absolut Geschmacklos. Reis ohne jegliche Gewürze. Bezahlung mit Karte ungerne gesehen. Wurde trotz der Aussage ich möchte mit Karte zahlen gefragt ob ich kein Bargeld hätte. Größte Frechheit: 10 Cent wurden extra berechnet weil ich mit der Karte bezahlt habe. Steht aber so nicht auf der Rechnung.

Super leckeres indisches Essen, große Portionen und absolut faire Preise! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Super delicious! Very friendly chef, and the food was truly 10 out of 10. The portions are also decently large and the food is very filling. We'll be back soon!

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations - the taste was rather average and not well balanced. But it wasn't inedible either. Overall, a mixed experience: good service, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to food.

I don't know what happened but first time I ordered from them and what I got was a joke. Lentil curry and ocra curry was pretty much based on tomatoes sause, no spices and terrible taste. The food was definitely not cooked by an Indian chef. Worst Indian food I ever ate.

We have been ordering regularly from Surya via Lieferando for a year and it always tasted good and the delivery came on time. That's why we decided to eat there once. The atmosphere was great and the food, as usual, was very tasty. We really have a great evening. Cheers Tom

I've ordered from here several times, and the food has always arrived on time and tasted very good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a very good experience visiting the place. Their samosa Chana chat was very nice. The staff was very cooperative and flexible. On our request they made Vegetable Pakora with onion and potato only, instead of all the veges. They also made Aloo Gobi in the style which we wanted. The owner came himself to guide us about some traffic related question, as the city was quite new for us.

Unfortunately ordered and paid and then no longer reachable after delivery and then you have no rice

Just ordered through Lieferando...really really tasty...I've never eaten such delicious Indian food before. The driver was also super nice...keep it up...whenever we're in Munich again we'll come by in person and eat there.

Chicken masala tasted horrible, had a taste of soap and after the second black hair in the dish it was thrown away. Garlic naan absolutely pathetic. Soft, undercooked and tasteless (basically just raw dough). 30€ and over an hour waiting time for your ass...

Unfortunately, my visit to the restaurant was disappointing. The rice had an unpleasant odor, as if it hadn't been freshly prepared, and the curry lacked any kind of seasoning. The chicken also seemed unnatural, presumably due to the use of food coloring, and the flavor was very bland. Furthermore, the water was served in a glass, which, to my knowledge, doesn't meet hygiene standards. It's hard to understand how a restaurant with such deficiencies can operate.

Hospitality is a foreign word for these people. I recently moved here and wanted to place a large order with my partner for us and our moving helpers to pick up. We wanted to look at the menu outside for the first time and stood in front of the restaurant with our dogs, who were on a leash, and wanted to choose something. At that moment I assume the owner drove up in a car and chased us away. With a dismissive gesture he asked us to leave. Of course, I will never order anything here and I can't recommend it to anyone, as the restaurant looked very unhygienic and dirty from the outside.

Delicious food and friendly staff!

Salty, below par kadhai murg (Kadhai chicken).. Chicken was hard, gravy was not even close to what kadhai chicken should have.. Never had such a weird gravy in any Indian dish anywhere in the world… vegetable paratha was okay to be fair.. anyway, never ordering again..

Unfortunately, the ordered food was canceled without explanation 30 minutes after the delivery confirmation and at the time of the scheduled delivery. The restaurant was still "open for delivery" in the app where the order was placed.

We have ordered delivery from this restaurant multiple times. We ordered tonight and my husband said the pepper chicken tasted off and it smelled strongly of fish. He was nervous to eat the food and threw it away. I called the restaurant to warn them and asked them to check the chicken so other people don't get sick. They offered to send us a different dish but we declined because we didn't trust the kitchen. We didn't ask for a refund. I left a poor review on Lieferando and the restaurant owner CALLED ME DIRECTLY AND THREATENED ME. He said I was going to have a big problem. I can't believe the owner CALLED ME AND THREATENED me. Absolutely outrageous. We will never eat here again.

I ordered a dish and was very disappointed. The food was an imposition and had nothing to do with Indian cuisine. It's a shame to throw something like that at the guests. You would have to sue the chef. Never again...

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food: three dishes looked and tasted very similar and were a bit bland. Card payments are here in 2024 and are apparently a nuisance despite notices on the entrance door.

Unfortunately, the new update: You now have the feeling that different dishes contain the same flavor. There are also deductions for the service because more was intentionally charged and the price was only corrected upon request.

Nice location, nice little garden. Portions could be larger but the quality and taste make up for it.

wir haben über Lieferando bestellt und was soll ich sagen ???, Wir hatten im Surya schon so gut gegessen, doch heute? Entweder war der Koch krank .... ich weiß es nicht Pappad waren vom Aussehen her schon anders .. ohne Kreuzkümmel, viel blasser, weniger kross und sehr fett. Die 3 drei Soßen dazu, die rote Soße schmeckte wie verdorben . wir haben sie nicht gegessen. Mein Mann hatte Chicken tawafry, der Paprika schmeckte ebenso wie verdorben . .. einfach ohne Worte. Und meins vegetarisches Kolapuri mittelscharf, war für mich sehr, sehr scharf ... Wir machen jedenfalls Surya Pause! Schade

Food ok, ambience ok too. Unfortunately, they couldn't get our reservation under control; they didn't know anything about a reservation by name. Only later did someone else remember it. So a beautiful meeting begins with trouble. A pity

This Indian restaurant is good both in appearance and interior decoration. The interior decoration of the restaurant is even more unique. The seats are comfortable, the tables are well distributed, and the location is spacious, giving you a comfortable feeling. We ordered different curry meats. The chicken curry and goat curry were both very delicious, and the butter chicken was also very good. We will not pursue whether they have the most authentic Indian taste, but for us Asians who eat Indian curry, this taste is already very good. The greeting staff are also very friendly. Introducing some snacks to us, they are all top-notch. On the night of the meal, it was snowing heavily outside and the temperature was minus six degrees, so this Indian meal felt particularly warm.

Wieder einmal haben wir den Service und das Essen im Surya genossen. Es war alles wie immer stimmig. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und das Essen hervorragend. Jederzeit wieder ein Besuch wert.

I love ordering take out from Surya!

My family visited Surya for dinner and we each enjoyed our meals. We eat Indian regularly and thought the food here was delicious. The staff was kind, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent.

...der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig, wir warteten ca. 20 Minuten bis der Keller zu unserm Tisch kam und dann nur mit einer Karte, obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren! Das Essen schmeckte gar nicht und ich habe sogar am Abend noch einen Herpes bekommen, vor Eckel. Auch überteuert für finde ich es, für diese Ware. Das Fleisch war nicht weich. Das Essen von meiner Begleitung schmeckte nur nach Minze, kein Spinat und Kokosnussöl war zu testen! Am Ausgang steht beim Inder in der Regel, typisch für das Land, etwas zur Verdauung, dass musste ich gleich wieder los werden, denn es schmeckte nach alten Lumpen. Zwei Positives: ...Parkplätze sind vorhanden. ...Vorspeise (Soßen - Minze, Mango und eine Rote) waren gut. Hier gehe ich nie wieder hin! Grüße von einem enttäuschten Gast!

War hier mit nem Kumpel zum ersten mal, der Kellner war sehr nett und das Essen heiß und lecker. Das Naanbrot war frisch und knusprig. Ich hatte Lamm Mango und es war viel Fleisch drin. Mein Kumpel hatte indischen Käse in Tomatensauce, auch extrem lecker. Wir kommen wieder :)

11/10 super Ambiente,super Essen,super Service und sogar noch Nachtisch bekommen, der auch eine 12/10 war. Preis ist auf jedenfall gerechtfertigt vorallem für die Portionen. <3

Sehr gutes Essen, freundlicher Service. Update: Gestern nach längerer Zeit wieder hier gegessen. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt und sehr netter Service. Die kleine Portion Mangocreme als Dessert zur Rechnung war sehr fein.

Ich liebe Salz und esse entsprechend salzig aber das essen war leider nicht genießbar, weder meines noch das von meinem mann. Sehr schade, sein Geld leider nicht wert.

Ordered from here 3 times and 3 different types of food but ever-time it’s the same taste . They just make one curry for all the recipes which itself it’s too salty and no flavour. Definitely not authentic. Also the food was not fresh every time i ordered

Ich habe hier einmal gegessen, der besitzer hat die gäste bedient. Essen ist ok, ich habe mehrere indische restaurants besucht, nicht authentisch.fehlt das indisches geschmack. Service ist top, dafür würde man wieder dort gehen. Athmosphäre ist auch angenehmen. Für empfehlung.

Ich bestelle hier öfter mal was und bin jedes mal begeistert! Das Essen ist immer frisch und sehr lecker und die Portionen sind mehr als nur großzügig. Zudem sind die Lieferanden sehr sehr freundlich! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, absolut TOP!

Staff always nice and friendly. Super cozy place for a rainy evening. Made their special spiced rice for us (called ahead) - they used to have that standard, but customers didn't want any exotic flavors? We where a little disappointed with some of the carry out food back in April/May early Corona times. But since they are open again for dining in house, we are very happy with the food quality and spice level provided asked for. Nice Indian Restaurant. Edit: sometime during COVID, they changed ownership and it isn't as good anymore. 😕

Great food. Especially recommend Butter chicken and the vindaloos. Not too crowded and very cozy. Friendly. One of my favourite Indian places in Munich outskirts.

Wie waren früher sehr gerne hier essen, leider haben wir das Gefühl das der Service und die Qualität unter dem seit Corona betriebenen Lieferdienst leider. Bei unserem letzten Besuch hatten wir das Gefühl direkt in der Küche zu sitzen und konnten ohne Lüften kaum Atmen.

Gutes Essen, allerdings mittlerweile häufiger werden Gerichte „vergessen“. Haben mehrmals bestellt und es passiert immer wieder dass ein Gericht fehlt… Also zählt die Gerichte wenn ihr bestellt. Restaurant hat allerdings nach Anruf etwas Einsicht gezeigt. Total überbesetzter Laden mit Mitarbeitern. KEIN BARGELD ANGENOMMEN… akzeptiert bitte das alle in Deutschland steuern zahlen müssen! Trotzdem ist das Essen gut und die Preise zwar relativ hoch, allerdings vergleichsweise normal für Indisch.

Ein wirklich sehr leckerer Inder mit einer sehr hohen Qualität. Lange nicht mehr so eine Freundliche Famile und so Freundliches Personal gesehen wie in diesem Lokal. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Lieferung kam schnell und freundlich Die Gerichte „Mutton sheekh kabab“ und „Chicken 65“ können wir leider nicht empfehlen. Das Lammhackfleisch war beim M.s.k. nicht so dolle und beim Ch. 65 war die Soße etwas „schlonzig“ Das „Lachsan Kulcha“ war super.

Was ok. Typical ordinary Indian food taste. Nothing fancy. Food was ok. Rather narrow inside, which is expected when it's in the heart of the city.

Wir waren schon oft hier essen und haben auch schon häufiger dort bestellt. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und der Service ist freundlich. Ich persönlich finde den Innenbereich des Restaurants nicht so ansprechend, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Dafür ist der Biergarten ganz nett.

Langes Warten auf das Essen , und die Getränke würden vergessen . Bei Nachfrage wurde das Personal laut und aggressiv . Leider könnte das gute Essen den schlechten Service nicht ausgleichen . Kann es nicht empfehlen ... schade In der jetzigen Zeit ist mir so ein Verhalten unverständlich !

Ausgezeichnetes indisches Essen😀, wir sind immer wieder gerne dort. Sehr freundliches Personal und hervorragende indische Küche.

Visité por primera vez el lunes y luego anoche, fue tan bueno. El pollo Jalfrezi es excelente, tan bueno que lo comí en ambas ocasiones. El servicio es atento y amable. Muy limpio y agradable para sentarse afuera

Dirigido a almorzar con 2 amigos, todo parecía lo suficientemente normal. Pedimos comida sonriendo a la gente, no podría ser mejor hasta que llegara nuestra comida. Cada uno de nosotros recibió la mitad de un bloc (extraño pero aceptable). Mientras todavía estaba comiendo el bloc, en la mano, a punto de cavar en un poco de Chutney, una mano sale de debajo de mi mano para cortar mi cuarto de plato. Me sorprendió lo suficiente como para preguntarme si iba a dejar que el servidor tomara la placa, después de que abandoné un pequeño trozo de papel en la placa. Grosero muy grosero. Luego siguió la comida. Mejor descrito como mediocre! Comida india: Sí, buena comida sabrosa: ¡No! Ninguno de los curries tenía nada que destacar. Esto fue seguido por más intentos de robo de platos mientras todavía no hemos terminado de comer. Un simple cortés "¿Puedo tomar su plato", ANTES de tomarlo ayuda. Ya fueron 3 intentos con todos los miembros de nuestro grupo lo que pone esto más allá de un error accidental, parecía rutina. Luego vino la facturación. Todos retiramos nuestras tarjetas y el servidor suspira que no puede aceptar 3 tarjetas diferentes, sino que solo tiene una tarjeta. Dada la hora (después de las 10 pm), uno de nosotros entrega la tarjeta de débito. Todavía sentía molestia, así que le pregunté al servidor por qué no podíamos pagar por separado. "Cantidades mínimas", dice espontáneamente. Si esto fuera realmente cierto, este no podría ser el único restaurante que acepte la tarjeta pero no pueda aceptar un pago de 16 EUR por persona con tarjeta. En general, cada incidente, uno tras otro, dejó una muy mala impresión del lugar. Después de haber estado allí por primera vez (y la última vez antes de la visita actual) hace casi 6 años y 5 años, recuerdo que la comida era buena, esto es realmente decepcionante. Sin embargo, ese es un restaurante indio en Munich que nunca volverá a ver mi cara o mi dinero. : (
