maharani We were there for the first time yesterday Maharani and it was simply magnificent. The restaurant is not that big, which makes it very familiar. The service is super attentive and soooo friendly. Everything is very clean, from the tables to the modern toilet. The food is of the best quality. No glutamate or other harmful flavor enhancers. The boss is just great. Sooo friendly and really pays attention to everything. Lots of regulars, all greeted with a handshake. Since the boss is a trained chef himself and has worked in the best restaurants worldwide, he knows his craft very well. The prices are absolutely fair, something you rarely find in Munich. And what you get for it is simply sensational. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it. The delicious food just makes your mouth water. The insider tip is definitely the paneer pakora and the naan here is fantastic. Great restaurant - thank you Maharani for your hospitality

Previously a bank, but unfortunately not recommended at the moment. The service acted clumsily, served incorrect or completely cooled food or forgot drink orders. The food had a simple delivery service character and was blandly seasoned and the portions were manageable. Inside you sit close together and it's comfortable. Very unfortunate.

Maharani Wir waren gestern das erste Mal im Maharani und es war einfach grandios. Das Restaurant ist nicht so groß, was es sehr familiär macht. Der Service ist super aufmerksam und soooo freundlich. Alles ist sehr sauber, von den Tischen bis hin zur modernen Toilette. Das Essen ist von bester Qualität. Kein Glutamat oder sonstiger schädlicher Geschmacksverstärker. Der Chef ist einfach super. Sooo freundlich und achtet auf wirklich alles. Sehr viele Stammgäste, die alle mit Handschlag begrüßt werden. Da der Chef selbst gelernter Koch ist und in den besten Häusern weltweit gearbeitet hat, versteht er sein Handwerk bestens. Die Preise sind absolut fair, das findet man in München selten. Und was man dafür bekommt ist einfach sensationell. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt darauf. Bei dem leckeren Essen, da kann einem nur das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen. We ordered the Veg Thali and Kashmiri Gosht, and the food was served promptly and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend trying the Saag Paneer with Roti—it was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. We stopped by for a quick dinner before catching our train, and we had a lovely time overall.

The Mahrani in Munich is a real highlight for lovers of Indian cuisine! The dishes were incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned and prepared with great care. I particularly loved the butter chicken and the fresh naan bread. You can feel that authentic recipes are implemented here with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. It was a thoroughly successful visit that I would be happy to repeat. Absolutely recommended!

I love coming on Mondays for ladies night! The staff is super friendly and the food is always on point. I have also come here with very large groups and they always accommodate us. Can definitely recommend eating here. Shahi paneer and Malai Kofta always super delicious and filling!

Llegamos a Munich tarde por la noche y estábamos buscando un buen restaurante indio. Llegamos al restaurante Maharani a las 11. 10 PM y se les dijo que cerraba a las 11. 30 PM. El personal era muy amable, nos recibió muy profesional y personalmente, recomendó algunos de los mejores alimentos y lo trajo inmediatamente con la más alta calidad. Teníamos Peshawar naan y pollo al curry con arroz, añadido con una buena cerveza que nos recomendaron. La cena fue increíble, de gran sabor y menos aceitosa como habíamos solicitado! El personal se registró con frecuencia asegurando que la experiencia fue increíble y que no nos perdimos nada. ¡Gracias a todos y deseando volver pronto antes de que nos vayamos!

The restaurant is really good. We ordered vegetarian food, including samosa Chaat, onion bhaji, dal makhni, vegetable pulao and butter roti and also gulab jamoon. It was all really nice and we totally recommend it.

We ate Indian food for the first time and were thrilled: very tasty and super tender meat, pleasantly spicy sauce, delicious salad with dressing and attentive service. We had the butter chicken in tomato sauce and the griddle, butter nan and Indian beer. It was a very pleasant evening in a cozy atmosphere. Thank you!

The place I was going to was closed and boy I was glad it was. Came to Maharani and it more than satisfied my hunger. The palak paneer was delicious, creamy, just the right amount of salt and not oily like many other Indian restaurants. And the Naan - thin and super soft. The ambiance is chill and service extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

Great service! We didn't have a reservation on a Friday, but the wait staff immediately tried to offer us a seat, even though the restaurant was very full. I had a chicken tikka masala and a garlic naan. The food was ok. The curry wasn't creamy and the taste was unspectacular. The naan looked great, but unfortunately it was very doughy and heavy.

We had butter chicken and chicken briyani, which is what my wife and I would typically order in any indian restaurant. First off, the butter chicken was well seasoned, and presented beautifully. The chicken briyani was ordered spicy, and turned out to be very spicy one indeed! It taste good but if you're not a fan of something spicy, I'd recommend to just get a regular chicken briyani. The prawn puri was such an amazing appetizer, definitely do try em if you're going. Lastly, the staff, they were extremely friendly. They're very mindful of their customers honestly and asked us occasionally of anything else could be sorted, which could be quite rare in some restaurant these days. Overall, staff was amazing, and food was delicious. I'd personally recommend butter chicken for this place.

Worst experience ever, the restaurant was not so busy still staff was not attentive, AND THE MAIN THING IS THAT, I ORDERED VEGETABLE BIRYANI AS I AM PURE VEGETARIAN AND THEY SERVED ME CHICKEN BIRYANI🤢. And also the owner don’t know how to behave. He only like to greet German guests not Indian.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to!!! The waiters were really nice and attentive. We got a small starter and dessert on the house and a super delicious selection of curries with rice and naan for 2 people for €32. The drinks were also absolutely delicious.

The food is authentic Indian cuisine. Serving portions are generous, complete with side dishes and dips to complement the main dish you ordered. Price is perfectly reasonable and affordable. Service is great and the interiors is cozy and warm, a great feeling for chilly autumn evenings. The chicken biryani was tender and delicious. I opted for non-spicy version, so that I can appreciate the taste more. We had a great time during our dinner.

Standard Indian: Can be done once, but too boring to do a second time We were there in the evening after arriving without a reservation. Located in a nice neighborhood, it's nice to sit outside. Service very nice. There was Butter Chicken and Chicken Jaipuri. Both dishes were too similar for my taste, tasty but by no means exceptional. Two naan is enough, and the rice portion wasn't skimped on either. Overall 3.5/5 for the main course. But for the free starter and the free dessert there are 4/5 points. Conclusion: I wouldn't go there again because it was too unspectacular. In a big city, I'd rather give another Indian restaurant the chance to convince me more. Nevertheless: it was delicious!

Wir waren abends nach der Anreise ohne Reservierung dort. Gelegen in einem netten Viertel, sitzt man draußen ganz schön. Bedienungen sehr nett. Es gab Butter Chicken und Chicken Jaipuri. Für meinen Geschmack waren beide Gerichte zu ähnlich, zwar lecker aber keineswegs außergewöhnlich. Zwei Mal Naan reicht locker, auch bei der Reisportion wurde nicht gespart. Insgesamt 3,5/5 für den Hauptgang. Für die kostenlose Vorspeise sowie den kostenlosen Nachtisch gibt es aber 4/5 Punkte. Fazit: Ich würde nicht nochmal hin, weil zu unspektakulär. Da gebe ich in einer Großstadt lieber einem anderen indischen Restaurant die Chance, mich mehr zu überzeugen. Trotzdem: Lecker wars!

Great place near Stiglmaierplatz. I've been going there regularly for lunch for years. Delicious lunch menus at affordable prices. Always main course with either soup or salad. Absolutely delicious. Particularly great in summer because of the opportunity to sit outside.

I like to eat Indian food but this restaurant will probably have to wait in vain for me in the future. Ordered a drink, the papad and chicken bharta. The drink arrived very quickly and just a little later the three types of dips and a papad were on my table. Funny, because there were two pieces on the menu and not just one. A little confused, I asked the waiter and was told that the individual papad was a side dish and therefore free. Embarrassing for me and slightly angry, I thought, why didn't the waiter say that when I brought it? But the main course was the highlight of the day. The main ingredients of the meal, the meat and the chopped eggplant, you would literally have to look for with a magnifying glass and the taste was just spicy. You can also save on material costs at a price of 15.90 for a dish that won't fill you up.

Sehr gute indische Küche! Wir waren begeistert. Das Interieur passt und ist nicht überladen wie in vergleichbaren Restaurants. Wir hatten einen Zweiertisch für einen Sonntagabend 20 Uhr reserviert. Die Bestellung wurde mit Ach und Krach 25 Minuten später aufgenommen. Der Service ist schlecht organisiert mit zuvielen Tischen drin und draußen, mehr Personal hilft wegen der beengten Laufwege und beschränktem Platz zwischen Küche und Tresenbereich auch nicht weiter. Hier will der Gastronom zu viel und quetscht Tische in den Raum, dass es für den Gast nach Masse aussieht und für den Service nur noch Stress bewirkt. Das sieht man dem Team an! Schade.

Ein nettes Lokal, typisch eingerichtet. Arbeiten könnte man am Service. Obwohl ich telefonisch reserviert hatte, war kein Tisch reserviert. Ich bekam einen etwas ungünstigen Tisch (die Bestuhlung ist eh sehr eng) und bat um einen anderen. Dem wurde zähneknirschend entsprochen. Das Essen ist allerdings super, eine wirklich gute Küche und die Preise ok. Insgesamt zu empfehlen.

I went here half an hour before the kitchen closing time. It has a nice ambiance and was decently crowded, although it was a Saturday. I wanted a light meal, so I ordered Bhindi Chana and some garlic naan. Got white basmati rice with the Bhindi Chana. The Bhindi Chana was satisfactory. The percentage of Bhindi to the amount of Chana felt too less. The garlic naan with it made up for any shortcomings. The overall service was okay. The waiter genuinely asked if the amount of food we ordered would be sufficient for us, which was a nice gesture.

For us, it has been the best, because most authentic, Indian restaurant in the greater Munich area for years. Fantastic food - also with a lot of spiciness - and very nice service. Be sure to make a reservation - it's always packed here for good reason!

Amazing authentic food! Loved the meal. The interior could be organized better, but the delicious food covers for all! The tables are close to one another. The head waiter did not let me sit where I want, although it was empty. Indian culture is very friendly and accommodating though, maybe the cold weather affects people. Anyhow, they were friendly later. The food is very good, I might order delivery next time!

I have to say this is the first time in like ever that I felt disrespected as an Indian or even a human here. I visited this a few months ago while roaming in Munich. I asked can we have two tables and the old Indian manager responded "how do you guys come without an appointment in Hindi" . I have been to over over 50 restaurants across Germany and Europe too. Never has anyone asked me this question. He gave us two seats and a table so close to the wall so that we banged our heads when we got up from the seat. There were entirely empty tables outside and I was really mad. He could have said we have no place free or even asked us to wait in queue or something. I simply don't understand the extremely rude attitude of him. Sir with all due respect with age comes experience but also wisdom. I feel so sad that you have lost the chapter 1 of hospitality taught in India. Yes l have been living long in Germany to understand the value of appointments but never ever has anyone ever asked me in any restaurant "HOW DO YOU COME WITHOUT APPOINTMENT"

Sehr leckeres indisches Essen und sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Großen Innen - und Aussenbereich, also genügend Platz gemütlich und lang zu essen. Die Portionen sind groß und im Gegensatz dazu nicht sehr teuer. Macht immer wieder Spaß dort zu Essen und Zeit mit Freunden zu verbringen. Lohnt sich auf jedenfall!
