Very tasty but unfortunately a long wait

We are visitors from Lower Saxony and were in Kiel over New Year's Eve and wanted to eat something on New Year's Day and Sultan was right because we stayed overnight nearby. So I looked at the recessions and can confirm what people have written in the last few weeks and months! Service unfriendly! We wanted veal because we were told there was only chicken even though there was a veal skewer, so we said there was veal hanging there but it was reserved 😂 Someone else had this lie from customers in the last few weeks! Not worked hygienically! Doner kebab very lean, little content and generally the food was not tasty! And the prices are no longer normal!!

They got the order wrong, it just gets worse, the food is ok, the service is bad, they don't even listen to what we say

Delicious food! My son (6 years old) swears by the Pide. Best Turkish restaurant in Kiel! Update 12/24/24 Food is still delicious, but service has become a disadvantage. You had to demand the bread. The dips that were usually served didn't come. (I also experienced them on the last 2 visits) A couple who had looked for a place without instructions were reprimanded by an older waitress who I didn't know (the boss? (very unpleasant for me). I'm excited to see how the restaurant develops!

The food overall was decent, but it had its highs and lows. The meat was okay, nothing spectacular but adequately cooked. The fries, on the other hand, were quite tasty and definitely a highlight of the meal. The salad was good and fresh, adding a nice balance to the heavier items on the plate. While the food might not have been extraordinary, the quick and attentive service made the dining experience more pleasant. Overall, it's a place worth considering if you're looking for a quick bite with decent fries and good service.

Bread repeatedly dry because it was already toasted before you ordered and has probably been lying around for some time. (To go kebab)

I've been coming several times. Food is average, acceptable. But there is always a problem with the service. Last time I ordered cubed pita. I waited for a very long time, they brought another pita, when I told them that I ordered another, they said if you want to change it, we can change it, I couldn't wait any longer, I accepted. However, the problem is that the pita was not made fresh, they heated it on the edge of the oven and brought it to us, it can be seen from the contamination under the dough, the bread and the meat. It doesn't suit me, I would be ashamed if it were me. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been making the same mistake here twice, it was my last chance, never again.

This evening I was really hungry and waited a lot to get something to eat afterwards. The food was good but all the dishes and salad smelled a lot. I couldn't eat well. The food remained complete but I still paid.

Ordered with rice, got with fries instead. So I asked for extra dressing because of the dry fries, but they said I had to pay extra for it. Poor service and greedy owners.

Ordered a doner plate and what tasted good was the meat salad was too watery and the sauce was too wet so that the meat was dry and the extras were really expensive and the price didn't hold up

I was on the trip to Hamburg with a stop at Kiel main station... I got a falafel box... for 6€ there were dry fries, a bit of salad and hummus sauce on top... the real shocker for me is that they were exactly the same 3 falafel in the box!!! Fries cold and dry, no taste... sorry, how much does frozen falafel cost that you put in 3 pieces... Thanks, but you won't see me there as a customer!

Pure catastrophe what happened! We were here several times last year and we really enjoyed it. But I have never experienced what happened yesterday in my 42 years as a chef in the restaurant industry. We ordered and a gamey salad came. After that it felt like nothing for half an hour. Afterwards my partner got her food, it has nothing to do with beauty. And me? After half an hour I dared to ask where my food was. Nothing came, not even an apology. I thought it was still okay? Then, as I had assessed, the food arrived, charred and listless Arranged. Nothing like burnt taste! Absolutely wrong. I asked for and got no answer. I wouldn't recommend what I've lived here to anyone. The food wasn't worth around 46 euros, pure scum. I complained to the payer. He said cheekily to me that I could cook at home straight away. What do I go to a restaurant for? I would like to send the health department over. This really has nothing to do with food. I have Turkish friends in Frankfurt and Mannheim. Hospitality is something else!!

Had a delicious dinner there, good selection on the menu, very fast, friendly service. Reasonable prices. The only thing is that it took a relatively long time for the main course to arrive. But all the seats were occupied... But the main thing is that it tasted very good. I'll definitely be back.

I was recently at Sultan Döner in Kiel after a long and tiring day at work and was looking forward to a delicious doner kebab. Unfortunately my experience there was not good. When I ordered a kebab box at the snack bar, the employee didn't ask me what meat I wanted, which is usual. I then heard him quietly tell his colleague to just fill the box with chicken without asking me. I politely asked what meat he was putting in my box and was told they were out of veal, even though there was still veal visible on the spit. This felt dishonest and the rude behavior spoiled my appetite. Luckily I hadn't paid yet so I didn't have to accept the order. Although the food may be good, the behavior of the staff was disappointing and unprofessional. Politeness and honesty are important, especially when customers have simple requests. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Sultan Döner if you expect respect and honesty from the staff.

Seen from the inside of the station, you might think: a “station kebab”... THINK! You can order takeaway at the counter outside. But you can also go in and find an amazingly large, modern restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. And when the food is on the table (which, by the way, was wiped down immediately after every visitor), you realize that the name “restaurant” is more than deserved. Good quality, really varied selection, visually very attractively presented and mega tasty. And at absolutely fair prices. Staff quick and fit, but not intrusive. Ordered from one person, another placed the plates with the special requests in front of the correct person. MAYBE coincidence... but maybe also good internal communication. In any case, impressive. My first visit - but definitely not my last!

We are Aussie tourists. This restaurant is well worth a visit. Hidden away just inside the station. It is excellent. Clean, nice decor, with friendly efficient service but the food is the highlight. We tried the bread, dips, grilled meats, eggplant, vine leaves, salad and falafel. It was delicious, lecker as they say in Germany.

Impossible dealing with regular customers – never again! I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for a long time, but what happened to me recently is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, on our last visit with my husband, we couldn't enjoy the food because the meat was still raw. As I was leaving the restaurant, I quietly said to my husband that the food wasn't good today. We didn't really want to attach much importance to the whole thing. A week later I was there again with my son. But when I wanted to enter the store, the owner approached me in an extremely disrespectful manner in front of all the other guests. He said a really bad swear word to me in Turkish, which was particularly shocking to me because I never expected something like that from him. To make matters worse, my son was there and had to listen to this behavior. Something like that is absolutely unacceptable to me. This treatment of me, a long-time customer, was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I am deeply disappointed and will avoid this restaurant in the future. Absolutely not recommended!

The service is an absolute disaster! Dishes, drinks and cutlery were simply forgotten several times despite asking. The staff was completely unable to apologize, let alone communicate with us. Some of us were able to eat while others still had to wait 30 minutes for their main course. We literally had to beg the waiters to bring us our food. Sauces, cutlery and even plates were constantly forgotten. We all felt very uncomfortable and unfortunately the birthday dinner was not a nice experience. We actually come here several times a year, but we won't go into this store again. I have never seen such bad service staff. I'm shocked.

Unfortunately, I always find it a shame that, given today's nutritional standards, only falafel is offered as a vegan kebab. It's also a bit cheeky to serve vegan kebab that contains falafel and then write the falafel kebab again on the menu. You're misleading the customer a bit. It's a shame, but unfortunately I won't be happy there. Maybe they'll learn something soon. 😇

Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably decreased recently. I ordered a kebab to take away and was disappointed. The kebab was only sparsely topped with salad, the bread was dry, and the poultry meat unfortunately had a lot of fat and gristle. It's a shame, because the quality used to be really better. Hopefully things will get better soon.

Really great, super tasty and above all plentiful food!!! We all enjoyed it very much! Staff was very nice, a bit forgetful but I think that was because it was very busy there. The saying “it’s like being at the train station” fits.😉😂 But that didn't bother us. We will definitely go there again.

The food was served first, salad, cutlery, drink and side dishes were completely forgotten. When I asked, I was given a spoon with a fork even though I ordered a meat dish. The meat was still raw inside. I complained about it, there was no noticeable response. Such a bottomless impudence how customers are processed like mass-produced goods on an assembly line. Anyone who adds to this shabby store should seek medical attention! Serefsiz!

It's really a shame what has become of the shop, food and service. I liked going to the restaurant to have a delicious meal. Every now and then I had to move quickly and bought my kebab at the entrance. Yes, what can I say?! More and more often, you feel ripped off! Service is mostly unfriendly, listless/in a bad mood and the portions are a disgrace! Price performance is not right at the back and front! I now avoid the store. In my opinion, something like this shouldn't be supported.

SO GOOD. I remember why to get the durum bc it’s so much easier to eat in the wrap. The sandwich was 7€ (vs 8 for durum). Good heat without me adding spice. Had nice funny chat w the staff due to my second language German:) Recommended by my airbnb host and stands true. Ironic because my friend in Munich also says their fav döner is at the Munich Hbf, just like this situation
