Der Döner ist wirklich legendär; Geschmack und Zartheit des Fleisches sind fantastisch. Die Portionen sind reichlich, der Service schnell und freundlich, und die Zutaten werden frisch zubereitet. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

STARK angefangen, STARK nachgelassen! Bei Eröffnung war der Döner ein Gedicht, speziell der Yaprak (Steak) Döner. Alle Zutaten wurden frisch zubereitet und waren in der Zusammensetzung in Gaarden einzigartig. Leider hat dieser zum heutigen Zeitpunkt der Rezension (15.05.26) stark in Qualität nachgelassen, zudem wird die Portion auch immer kleiner... Was aber am entscheidungserhelblichsten dazu kommt, sind die extrem langen Wartezeiten von Bestellung bis zum Verlassen des Ladens, teilweise 30 Minuten und länger. Das ist für so ein Betrieb für den Kunden unzumutbar. Hier gibt es, gerade in Gaarden, mittlerweile deutlich bessere Alternativen (Murat Kasap, Ankara, Agorra, usw...)

Angeblichen Hype nicht wert, Fleisch verbrannt, saucen lasch. Gibt in guten, sicheren Gegenden Döner für 5 euro statt dem hier

Mit Abstand bester Döner in Kiel.

Ich hatte einen Termin in Kiel und wir hatten noch etwas Zeit übrig, also sind wir dort Mittag essen gegangen. Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen haben wir uns für diesen Laden entschieden. Jeder von uns hat einen Döner im Brot bestellt – ich mit Steakfleisch, die anderen mit Hähnchen. Ehrlich gesagt war ich etwas enttäuscht. Das Steakfleisch war eigentlich genau so, wie ich es aus meiner Kindheit kenne – also nichts Besonderes – und stellenweise sogar zu salzig. Wenn das Verhältnis von Fleisch, Brot und Salat im Biss nicht perfekt war, wurde es schnell unangenehm salzig. Das Brot war außerdem zu hart. Im Nachhinein hätte ich vielleicht lieber einen Dürüm bestellen sollen, zumal die den Teig wohl selbst machen. Das habe ich allerdings erst zu spät gesehen. Der Laden scheint dennoch gut besucht zu sein, vielleicht habe ich einfach einen schlechten Moment erwischt. Aber der erste Eindruck zählt nun mal.

Bester Döner! Der Spezial Döner (Sauerteigbrot und Steakfleisch) ist der absolute Hit. Mega lecker. Da lohnt sich der Weg aus Mettenhof immer wieder.

Heute zum ersten Mal bei Baba n Döner gefetzt.... Was soll ich sagen, schon das bestellen hat Spaß gemacht. Man merkt die Jungs sind mit Leidenschaft dabei. Aber das wichtigste ist wohl der Döner an sich. Der war ohne Spaß einfach Bombe. Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Auch wenn es einen Umweg bedeutet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Nichts besonderes. Brot leider sehr schlecht und Döner ist nach dem ersten Bissen auseinander gefallen. Wäre bei einem guten Döner Mann wahrscheinlich nicht passiert. Soßen schmecken gut aber werden ins Brot geschmiert und Riesen Klecks nochmal drauf was den Geschmack des Döners verfälscht. Ich zahle doch die 10€ damit ich yaprak essen und schmecken kann !! Im großen und Ganzen kann man machen wenn man in der Nähe ist aber extra hinfahren aufkeinen Fall…

Was soll man sagen, heute das erste Mal dort gewesen und Steakdöner bestellt zum mitnehmen. Fleisch top, Saucen top, Salat mehr als frisch und verdient einfach einer der top 5 Döner in und um Kiel. Ich kann den Laden nur weiterempfehlen der auf frische Zutaten und sehr korrektes Personal steht. Super freundlich und für Späße zu haben. Wir kommen definitiv wieder um auch noch das Sauerteigbrot zu probieren 👍

I discovered Baba Kebab in Kiel through an Instagram story and decided to try it out. The area is full of snack bars and kebab shops – there's definitely a lot of competition. The shop itself, however, is clearly in need of renovation. Both the overall condition and the cleanliness in the dining area are rather questionable and could definitely be improved. BUT: The food really makes up for a lot. The sesame flatbread is delicious, a little dry in places, but the flavor is fantastic. The chicken kebab is absolutely outstanding – I've rarely eaten such a good chicken kebab. The steak kebab is more average: the flavor is okay, but it's very thinly sliced ​​and doesn't quite look like classic steak. Still, it's good compared to many other places. The veal is also very solid and tasty. The sauces are delicious, the salad selection is good, and the Turkish sweets like baklava deserve special mention – they're truly delicious. One minor drawback: the drink selection is somewhat limited (e.g., no Coke Zero in the fridge). Conclusion: Visually and in terms of condition, there's definitely room for improvement – ​​it urgently needs renovation. However, in terms of taste, this is one of the best kebab shops in Kiel for me, and it clearly stands out despite the stiff competition. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into the food. I'll definitely be back.

We rode our motorcycles here from Hamburg. We quickly googled where to find the best doner kebab in town. What can I say? These guys didn't disappoint! Homemade bread, crisp salad, yaprak meat, delicious sauces – everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Last time, my brother got a doner kebab plate. Same problem. The meat was burnt and inedible. We didn't say anything. This time, I went myself and got a doner kebab plate too. And this is the result: The meat is black! Why? Is good meat only available for Germans? Do we get the leftovers from the garbage? And all for €16.60! For that money, I can get a kilo of meat at the supermarket.

Unfortunately, only 3 stars for the "Steak Doner"... which, in my opinion, doesn't deserve this title, let alone the price. The meat doesn't have a strong flavor, and even freshly cut, it wasn't really hot. Other places can do just as well with their "regular" doner kebabs, and for less. What saves the doner are the exceptionally large, crispy bread, the sauces, and the sumac and lime topping.

Solid döner kebab – especially the yaprak (a type of cured pork) in sesame bread with the special salad (finely chopped parsley with onions), sumac spice, and lemon. There could have been a bit more sauce, but the focus is on the meat. The bread was a little too toasted and very crispy. Overall, the döner was really good and I recommend it.

Yaprak Döner, both the chicken döner and the other varieties, taste exactly like they're homemade – simply top-notch, keep it up! I do have one request: I'd like to see larger portions offered as an option. I'd gladly pay more.
