Everything is perfect here - very friendly service, very tasty food, optimal value for money! There is a great selection of starters, a variety of main courses and side dishes, including grilled dishes, pide, pizza, dishes with rice, etc. and dessert. Reservations are recommended, but you should be able to get a table on most days even without a reservation.

Ordered kebab gratinated and got a children's portion. There should be a little more for such a price. Reordered a drink and didn't get anything despite asking several times. Only got our drink after about 15 minutes after a complaint. It doesn't work at all. But the main thing is expensive. Never go there again

I've already been to another Sultan restaurant in Übach Palenberg with my family and everything was great. But this one in Alsdorf was the biggest disappointment. Tiny portions, some not cooked properly. For a children's menu we had chicken skewers with fries, which was a disaster. Four pieces of breast meat, a few fries and a pile of already matchy rukula leaves, which were already bitter, were added as a side salad. No sauce or mayo with it. The child wanted some ketchup because it was too dry. They charged 1.50 euros for a mini bowl of cheap ketchup. Our clothes smelled like a fume hood afterwards. Never again. The money I left there still hurts my soul today.

Highly recommended with lots of choice of food

I was there for the first and last time. The food wasn't anything special and what annoyed me most was that the Turkish mocha came from some coffee machine and looked like Plörre. I immediately left it behind and complained and after a long back and forth it was refunded to me. It wasn't about the money but about the way, I feel like I've been really taken for a ride.

The portions were sometimes ridiculously small and did not meet our expectations in any way. We looked in vain for hot food because the food was often only lukewarm, which significantly reduced the enjoyment. In addition, the individual dishes were staggered so that half of our group had already received their food, while the other half still had to wait for their food and had already finished eating the first group. This resulted in a very uncoordinated and frustrating experience. Strangely enough, no card payment was possible either, which further complicated the situation and caused us further inconvenience. Overall, this was a disastrous experience that fell far short of our expectations. It's really unfortunate that the occasion, like Bayram, shouldn't be an excuse for so many things going wrong here. We were looking forward to a lovely evening, and it's a shame that we had to go home with such negative impressions instead.

I called Sultan Restaurant yesterday at 11 o'clock and made a reservation for Eid Dinner with my family for today's day for 10 people. But what they did today is shameful, and turning away 10 people from a long way on Eid day is an unforgivable situation!!! I have visited so many Restaurants so far, no one has done the shame you did!! Even a little bit, people feel embarrassed and ashamed. Please think about going to this Restaurant. Never, ever trust reservations, you will be a victim, think carefully when you make a reservation for a special day, they ruined our Eid Dinner that we were going to have as a family today. I would never play with anyone's bread. Everyone can make mistakes, but what this place did today was not a mistake, but rudeness!!! The food is typical social media food, it looks good but just tastes bland and boring. We come from Aachen and have had Turkish food several times and we have never experienced such bland food like that from a retirement home in a Turkish restaurant. The reason for the one star rating is unfortunately not very positive. As others have already reported in the reviews, our group also had two cases of food poisoning. We suspect the baklava or the fruit because only two out of four people ate it. Since I am one of those affected, I can't give more than one star.

After asking several times about the bill, we were told that we should pay upfront; we had already been told that several times (also very unfriendly, loud and disrespectful), which was not true. Every time we were just told that they would bring us the bill. Which never happened. We will never eat here again and cannot recommend it to anyone. In terms of taste, it's okay, but the disorganized, unfriendly and incompetent waiters in this mess shop destroy the entire ambience. Terrible!
