The plates there were very dirty. When we asked if we could get a new plate, we were again given a dirty plate (that was last summer) and the food was far too little and far too expensive. I still wanted to give it another chance and was disappointed again. Yesterday I noticed an employee being yelled at by the boss, probably because something was forgotten. That doesn't work at all. We will avoid this store soon. With a boss like that, we definitely won't leave our money behind.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as expected. For the most part the food (grilled plates and pide) was cold, except for the lentil soup with the bread was warm. Portions are quite good for the price. Unfortunately, some requests are not taken into account or addressed if you want to order something separately. What's really good is the ambience

I was very disappointed with my visit to Sultan. The food had no quality whatsoever and didn't correspond to the price at all. Even worse was the arrogant attitude of the manager. It seems like they only care about how much money they can make without caring about the customers or their well-being. There are many other restaurants that are reputable, offer good food and treat their guests with respect. Save your money and avoid being taken advantage of - find a place that truly values ​​its guests.

Was surprised at how tall the Sultan is. Ordered there yesterday and had it delivered. The food was super tasty and plentiful. The Turkish rice was particularly amazing! It wasn't the last time I was there.

Food was ok for me. Nothing special and too expensive for me for what I received. What is not possible is the feel-good factor. I didn't feel like a guest but more like a burden. Neither a hello when you come in nor a goodbye when you leave. I would rather spend my money where it is valued. This is my opinion and feeling at the two times I was there. Of course, someone else may feel this differently or it may be better at a different time.

Absolutely disappointing! The store was open for over 50 minutes according to its opening hours, but it was impossible to reach anyone. After five calls there was either no answer or I was immediately pushed away. This kind of behavior towards customers is unprofessional and disrespectful. If you no longer want to accept orders, you should adjust the opening times accordingly. The phone service is just as bad as the on-site service!

We went there for a breakfast buffet on Sunday last week. After a brisk entry, we waited about 10 minutes for the rationed orange juice (1 glass per guest) and then went to the buffet after an employee pointed out to us that card payment was not possible, very strange in 2024 but oh well. The food is typical social media food, it looks good but just tastes bland and boring. We come from Aachen and have had Turkish food several times and we have never experienced such bland food like that from a retirement home in a Turkish restaurant. The reason for the one star rating is unfortunately not very positive. As others have already reported in the reviews, our group also had two cases of food poisoning. We suspect the baklava or the fruit because only two out of four people ate it. Since I am one of those affected, I can't give more than one star.

Service: The waiters seemed completely overwhelmed and unprofessional. Price-performance: Although I as a guest did not bear the costs directly, it was obvious that the price was far too high for what was offered. This not only disappointed the hosts, but also the mood of everyone involved. Overall, it was unfortunately a very unpleasant experience that in no way did justice to the special occasion. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone for a celebration.

Nice ambience good staff. But the food, well, I ordered a grill platter and the meat was delicious, but then the grilled tomato was just really ice cold and the grilled pepper was the same. The rice was lukewarm to cold. My colleague ordered a pide with sucuk and they simply put an ice-cold sliced ​​tomato on the pide, which made the pide completely cold. So the quality has deteriorated significantly.

If we hadn't had such a long journey and were hungry, we would have driven again. The waiter apologized and was very friendly. We definitely won't be coming back for breakfast. Unfortunately, our excitement faded quickly after our first visit, and a second chance only confirmed our initial disappointment. The wait times are unusually long, and the staff seems disorganized—either ignoring you for extended periods or repeatedly interrupting to ask how the food is. There’s no happy medium. The atmosphere is also not ideal. It’s quite loud inside, more reminiscent of a fast-food joint than a proper restaurant. As for the food, while they offer a wide variety, the lack of focus means there’s no specialty. Everything is just average in quality.

We have been visiting the restaurant regularly for a year. Today we wanted to go to the breakfast buffet 12:00 p.m. I called beforehand that we were 2 people and a child. I was told we were guaranteed a table. When we got there we waited 10 minutes, even though there were free seats with a sofa for 4 people. I asked can we sit there and the answer was rude, it's for 4 people and we can't be seated there. It was at 12:00 but not 10:00. For this reason I will never come back.

Unfortunately we struggled with diarrhea after we were there and the toilet was very dirty and a smell came all the way to the front door.

We had a reserved table for 6 people. We first had to wait 15 minutes at the entrance until anyone came to us and then another 5 minutes until we got a table. After half an hour we were allowed to order our food. It took another hour for the food to arrive. We were there for breakfast on a Sunday and were able to try the delicacies from the buffet. We were very positively surprised. Everything tasted delicious and there was a large selection. The staff was super friendly and very quick with the service.

Ordered food to be delivered. Will be delivered soon, Sultan apparently says delivery in 45 minutes. During this time we called 3 times to ask when the food would arrive. Each time we were told we would be there in five minutes. That's very cheeky, because on the third call they said that the driver left five minutes ago. On the phone I was asked if I was Turkish because my last name sounded like that. When I replied that I wasn't Turkish but that it was my brother-in-law's last name, the man on the phone became totally unfriendly. When the food finally arrived, we unpacked and discovered that three side dishes had been forgotten. We then called them again. We were given a very cheeky answer and said that they were too busy at the moment and couldn't bring us the food, whereupon we said that they should either refund us the money for the missing food or bring it to us. The answer from them: Yes, we'll do it and then they just hung up. They didn't do either of those things. I have never experienced such poor service. If you could give 0 stars, I would have done so. :)

I was there for the first time today and was more than disappointed. The ambience is more than beautiful & that's why my expectations were accordingly. We name space (the restaurant was barely occupied, 2-3 tables). After a long wait (about 5-10 minutes) I took the initiative and asked one of the waiters if we could please have a menu. This was then brought to us immediately. We ordered drinks, which were quickly brought to our table and took the time to choose what we would like to eat. We closed the cards to signal to the waiters that we were ready and around 10-15 minutes passed (as I said, the restaurant was hardly occupied, one table had already left). I took the initiative again and called one of the waiters over and he took our order. The food also followed relatively quickly, but so far there has been no communication or understanding from the waiters. The food was ok...until I discovered a HAIR in my food! From then on I was really full and just wanted to pay and leave. I called the waiter and told him, thank you, the food was delicious but unfortunately there was a hair in mine. He then answered me “ahh, that’s small” - I was so shocked and replied to him “it doesn’t really matter whether it’s small or big! That doesn't belong here! There was no apology or understanding of the situation. I asked him for the bill and we paid the full amount & even included a tip! The waiter didn't offer us anything as compensation & there wasn't even an apology from the kitchen. Normally I don't do it, I still pay the full amount (plus tip too) but I had the feeling that we were totally screwed from the start anyway were ignored & the encounter was just negative from start to finish. Never again!

Are currently having breakfast in Mariadorf. The food is largely lukewarm to cold, the tea we ordered is still a long time coming after the third request, cutlery (small spoons) is in short supply, normal spoons cannot be found at all. A pity. There are no notes on the different dishes indicating what is what.
