It's a great place to relax. Definitely worth a visit.

It was summer and warm. However, the water in the non-swimmers' pool was so cold that our daughter had to get out after five minutes because her lips were blue. Unfortunately, splashing around for longer wasn't possible. Even though the city of Hagen doesn't have the money, the temperature in the pool should still be raised a bit. We wouldn't go there again. The playground was great, and the location is also very nice.

Great outdoor pool! The children's area is well separated from the swimming area. Quite long wait times for drinks and food at the kiosk.

A truly beautiful outdoor pool with great pools and a variety of play options for children – perfect for a family outing! The grounds are well-maintained and offer plenty of space to relax. The beach house's catering is generally convenient, but the prices there are unfortunately significantly too high. The fries are not tasty. Overall, though, it's a great place for warm summer days. There are both limited paid and free parking spaces.

A walk around Lake Hengstey is always worthwhile. There are several opportunities to sit down and enjoy a snack or drink along the way.

It's open and closed as it pleases. Sometimes open, sometimes closed, sometimes no information.

Clean and friendly service. Varied and very tasty breakfast. Highly recommended, too, for drinks.

South bank of Hengstey - A truly beautiful corner of Hagen! Highly recommend cycling along it or taking a relaxing stroll. It's very beautiful to watch nature slowly blossom. Enjoy pure nature and find peace.

A great concept located on the bike path and with plenty of seating in the shade. Drinks and food are available to pick up yourself. If you like something a little more dignified, you should go to the main building. Delicious burgers as well as vegetarian dishes and cocktails are served there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace is also offered here. We really like it on the south bank. The prices are reasonable and not excessive.

Very nice circular route around the Hengstysee. Great view can be done in about 1 hour. I can highly recommend it.

The breakfast here is very good and leaves almost nothing to be desired… From the warm and cold buffet you can also choose muesli etc., two types of sausage and one type of cheese. Rolls and croissants are also available. Sweet quark dishes round the whole thing off. Coffee, water and juices are also on board.

The facility is an enrichment for Boele. When the weather is nice it's a lot of fun to be there.

Too bad!!! People used to lie ceiling to ceiling! Everyone was happy Small kiosk and something to get fries and pasta. Bathing time was extended when the weather was nice. Today... Barely filled and entry stop Eating takes ages and then when the weather is nice the bathing time is shortened. Sad!

The facility has become very beautiful and inviting. Only the service from some employees leaves something to be desired. With such a beautiful facility, and then such unfriendly staff. This MUST be worked on. The following case: No more toilet paper or paper towels in the women's toilet. Anything can happen in such beautiful weather. After my wife told one of the male employees who was serving food, she was told: it wasn't his problem and it wasn't his job. What else can you say about that? Maybe instruct staff on how to behave. Despite everything, a very nice facility.

I only discovered this outdoor swimming pool on the south bank this year because of the many shaded areas and I'm really excited. Friendly staff, loungers available at the pool, very good water temperature, decent bathers and respectful treatment. The 50-meter pool is also very clean and well-kept and you just feel comfortable here in this outdoor pool. Just a little work should be done on the opening times, because in Witten-Annen you can go swimming from 6:30 a.m. and I personally think 10 a.m. is a bit late. 9 a.m. would be great! :-)

My first visit: The facility is great and beautiful, but the bathroom is unfortunately only worth 1 star for the following reasons... The catering industry is extremely overwhelmed, as others have already written. 15 minutes of preparation time (still OK), but then another 33 minutes of preparation on top for just 4 fries... And that's pretty much the whole time... Thick fries are not suitable for an outdoor pool anyway, if you have so little deep fryer capacity you have to make thin fries use... On top of that, the staff is unfriendly, when I asked after 25 minutes whether it had been forgotten, the customer in front of me was shouted at with the words "it vibrates when it's ready, go away"... By the way, the bathroom wasn't even full . It was also over 33 degrees and you started asking people to get out of the water at 6:10 p.m. and asked people on the lawn to leave at 6:33 p.m. because you wanted to finish work on time. At 10 am the lawnmower tractor would be turned on and started mowing the area... By the way, the opening time is 7 p.m. Apart from the fact that it was the first time in my 40s that I didn't experience an extension in such weather, you should at least be able to endure the normal times as a staff member. There are bad days for everyone, but a second visit was actually even worse... Oh yes, having to queue again for bottles that you want to return is the biggest joke... There should be an extra window for drinks and ice cream..

Found the outdoor pool to be pretty much the worst in Hagen. Apart from the really great playground, it has almost nothing to offer for smaller children & you don't go to the outdoor pool because of the playground. The absolute blast: Children with water wings are not allowed in the 1.40m pool, even if accompanied by BOTH parents. Where can you find something like that?! When I asked how you should teach your children to swim if you weren't allowed to go into the "deep" pools with them, I got a mega answer - "That's probably not the right time to teach your child to swim in 32 degrees. After all, the swimming pools are all very full in this weather.” Oh yeah 😂 So it's better to learn to swim in a full indoor pool in winter. Notice it for yourself, okay?! Little fun fact - without water wings, he would have been allowed in on our arm.🤦🏽‍♀️ Better to go to Hestert👌🏻😁

You can't understand why this beautiful place wasn't used like this before. Self-service, attractive menu, ok price, but a nice beach beer garden where all age groups feel comfortable. I thought it was great

The bathroom and ambience is great! But the catering in the outdoor pool is unacceptable! There are completely overwhelmed employees (students) who have no idea. Currywurst is presented after half an hour of waiting, fries are swimming in lots of ketchup, they are so soggy, inedible, there is no trace of curry!! I had ordered bratwurst with toast and mustard, there was no toast or bread, when I asked for mustard I was told it would cost extra! But because I didn't get any bread it would be free for once, where can you get something like that? So the bottom line is that as long as only unprofessional staff are employed, I assume without any training, it's better to bring provisions with you, because the prices are completely off the charts for the price and performance.

Entry is cheap However, the outdoor pool is not for us The new playground is nice, but since the sun shines on it all the time, sliding is impossible and the rest of it gets very hot. We didn't like the food, the fries were half raw and two different types of fries. The curry sauce tastes like ketchup with a little curry powder. We also had to wait 20 minutes for food. The baby pool was full of sand and leaves. For the lockers you need small change which “cannot” be changed at the checkout It was also the first swimming pool where we were thrown out of the float with a swimming aid, which meant the day was already over for the child anyway

We were there and went for a walk. A very beautiful area.

Been back to the outdoor pool for ages, very nice, lots of choice for people from large to small, not too crowded, very cheap, lots of shaded areas, no troublemakers, nice staff, very discreet but present. Also clean. Changing rooms, lockers okay. I'm completely thrilled! We'll be coming more often now!

It's always beautiful around the Hengsteysee. It is also a popular running route. Short and flat. 6.61km.

Once around the Hengstey Lake it is a great walk if you look carefully you can see rare animals.

Nothing wrong! The waiting room has more atmosphere than the “Südufer” restaurant.

Ambiance is nice. Service, oh well. The waitress didn't know where the orders belonged and walked around asking questions. Some left because there was no service. You had to report several times to pay. A pity.

Today we celebrated Tom's 13th birthday here with a wonderfully delicious meal. Staff is very accommodating, polite and very attentive. The atmosphere is very homely and we would love to come back at any time. Thank you for the excellent service👍

Freundliches und sehr nettes Personal in der Gaststätte. Der Ausblick ins Grüne und dem Hengsteysee runden die sehr schöne Landschaft ab.

Wirkliches schöne Lage in Hagen, Top Restaurant am Freibad

Das Freibad ist schön gestaltet. Nettes Personal. Allerdings sind die Preise für das Essen zu überteuert.

Aktuell ist dort eine Baustelle. Ich war aber früher dort und es ist gut zum schwimmen und spass haben. Der Ausblick ist auch sehr schön.

Immer wieder schön zum gehen Klasse Aussicht

Hier kann man Dauergast sein. Man schaut auf das Wasser und kann entspannen. Auf dem Herdecker und Dortmunder Ufer fehlen Mülleimer, was dazu führt, dass die sehr schäbigen Hundebesitzer die Tüten überall herumliegen lassen. Schämt Euch! Es fehlt noch eine Einkehrmöglichkeit für einen entspanntes kühles Blondes oder ein alkoholfreies Weizen nach dem Joggen. Aber es soll ja entstehen, beim Strandhaus Hengsteysee. Schon jetzt von einer schönes Terrasse mit einen kleinen Umweg zu genießen, aber den See hat man sehr gut im Blick! Tipp für Frühaufsteher: Donnerstag ab 06:00 Uhr Frühstück 😜

Die Bänke sind ja toll angeordnet. Da wo man freie Sicht hat, steht keine und da wo man schön auf die Büsche schaut ,stehen welche...prima...👍 (An einigen Stellen hat man freie Sicht...immerhin...wow..😁)
