This place is very chill and kind people work there! I love the outside area, it's very familiar and reminds me of being in a small place. The fact that you can have coffee and Kuchen but also beer and food is amazing since that's not very usual in Berlin! It's like a modern Biergarten.

I love this place. Cosy atmosphere. Even though it lost its wonderful Sunday Brunch during the pandemic, it is still one of my favorite hangouts in Berlin.

This place is great! They've got a really nice atmosphere and everything you need for a good time with friends.

This is a safe space for all people. If ever I’m going on a date, meeting a friend or welcoming family from outside of town I like to bring them here. It’s vibrant, easy to get to and a lot of fun. The staff are all excellent, very friendly and they work fast. Sometimes you’ll see a long queue to place your order but don’t let that worry you, it moves very fast and the people who prepare the drinks work quickly. If you’re not a local Südblock is a good place to practice your German. I’m still learning but I find the staff taking orders are friendly and go slowly if they hear you are trying. And if all else fails they are happy to switch to English. It’s a good place for cake with a lot of tasty options. They serve good food until late so you really can spend a long time here. Südblock is very easy to get to via u-bahn so you don’t have to walk far which can be a point of concern for more vulnerable members of society. It has a spacious, and fun interior. The outdoor area is very large, colorful and nearly all the tables are covered over. One of the best spots in Berlin.

I work in a hostel in Kreuzberg, and I always recommend my guests to visit this bar. It’s my favorite gem of Kotti with :Vor Wien to be honest. It can be crowded, but the outside area offers so much space that you’re always able to have conversations with your friends without having to speak louder, they also host drag Kings/ Queens shows from time to time. just go there

An oasis of chill and kind people! The food is really good, but it is no place of haute cuisine or for a candle light dinner. I would say classy snacks. To people from the countryside: yes there are large streets, crossroads and a tube as well. You will not be surrounded by silence but by pulsing life in and outside of the buildings around Südblock. Go there. Be kind. Enjoy! 😎😍🙂

Perfect place to spend summer afternoons. The terrace is very nice and large. The workers are very friendly and the audience is very mixed queer. The only bad thing I see is that in the afternoons it gets very crowded and to order something, there is a fairly long queue, since there are only two boxes to order. But without a doubt it is my favorite place for the summer.

Yeah not bad!! It's all pretty nice 🥰. Crazy atmosphere (I love it!!!!!), the carrywurst is super good, I recommend it with my eyes closed. The staff is pleasant, kind and top notch 👍. Generally an ok place, cheap drinks (low quality tequila, so I got a hangover), but the atmosphere is solid. Didn't eat anything when I was there, it was in full on bar mode

Fast and good service. The selection of side beers is small. However, beggars will not give you peace. The place itself has the flavor of Berlin. The atmosphere is good.

It's easy to get there by train. The food is not too expensive and tastes fantastic.

Hip and relaxed place, lots of seating outside. Had twice food here, they serve mainly salads, fries, burgers, and something that looks like very thin squared pizzas. Lots of vegetarian and some vegan options.

A really good place to chill and chat in the hustle and bustle of the city. The rustic fries are great. And the garlic mayo and curry sauce are also great. It is uncomplicated, without any airs and graces and urban.

Little oasis (beergarden) in the heart of Kreuzberg

The 'Südblock' at Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg offers a unique and alternative beer garden experience. We met two Frenchmen and a Viking there and had a very pleasant and entertaining evening in a colorful, relaxed atmosphere. Despite minor incidents where the beer garden fence was almost kicked down twice, we were able to enjoy our drinks and the surroundings. Kreuzberg is an incredibly exciting district that is very different from Mitte, even if there can occasionally be unpleasant experiences at the Kottbusser Tor subway station. Overall, an authentic and alternative experience that shines particularly through the diversity and charm of the Kreuzberg district.

Been going to this place for more than 5 years, its a nice place especially in the summer. It has been always my sanctuary. The workers are friendly and hardworking, the food is good. It gets so loud when crowded in the winter.

Delicious food, moderate prices. Unfortunately! I have to change my rating. Recently stood alone at the counter and was greeted by 4! Counter staff ignored for a few minutes. As a group of boys, boys, boys gathered behind me, the waitress came to continue to ignore me and serve the boys directly behind me next. I was only noticed after I objected. Well, thank you very much too. Another time, a kitchen worker made fun of me because I wanted to "exchange" the mayonnaise because I had ordered a different sauce. It's not a tragedy from my point of view, but the fact that I'm being bullied from the side is no.

The burger was huge, almost too much to handle, but absolutely so delicious. I couldn't quite tell if the staff member taking my order was friendly or not; since I don't speak German, I had to ask for clarification, which made me feel a bit guilty for not knowing the language, although I'm not sure why. Something didn't feel quite right, and it left me feeling uneasy. However, I'm willing to give there another shot for this place and see through these situation. :) The atmosphere inside was great, lively, and colorful. At the very least, it's worth stopping by to check out the place and maybe grab a beer!

This café/restaurant is very cozy with very nice people and service staff! We had a very tasty meal there for a very small price! The vegan currywurst is highly recommended, as are the Chili and the Beyond burger. The drinks are also good and there is a lot of choice. All in all highly recommended and our favorite spot in Berlin😃

The atmosphere is very warm - not too busy but busy the right way - the food and drinks are reasonably priced and satisfying, and the crowd is very nice. One of my favorite places in Berlin!

Multikulti wie er sein muß, die türkische Mutti sitzt mit ihren türkische Mutti Freundinnen einen Stuhl neben dem transgender Stammtisch, die neben irgendwelchen anderen random Tisch, es gibt günstige Speisen und Getränke, Inklusion wird hier gelebt, das einzige was nicht toleriert wird ist Intoleranz, eine Institution am Kotti. Südblock macht Kotti zum Kotti

Ganz angenehm um sich direkt am Kotti ein paar Pitcher zwischen die Riemen zu gießen. Schöner Außenbereich mit bunter Beleuchtung. Toiletten unisex. Leere Getränke werden zügig abgeräumt. Gegessen habe ich bis jetzt noch nichts. Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt - Gerne wieder

Die Biergarten-Atmosphäre ist schön, aber Hochbahn und Straßenverkehr sorgen für reichlich Lärm. Das Essen (Selbstbedienung) ist recht gut mit viel veganer und vegetarischer Auswahl.
