Nicht getoastet, kein Käse - trotz langwieriger Bestellung am Terminal, wo alles korrekt eingegeben worden war. Dazu sehr sparsam belegt und wegen zu wenig Soße trocken.

Bei der Bestellung am Terminal wurde bei 1 Sub jegliches Gemüse abgewählt, bei der Bestellbestätigung haben wir nochmal den Cookie geändert. Dadurch wurde allerdings auch wieder sämtliches Gemüse aktiviert. Dies haben wir erst gemerkt als wir unsere Bestellung bekommen. Nach Rückfrage haben sie uns anstandslos einen neuen gemacht. So sieht Service aus. Die Subs waren auch sehr lecker und haben uns gut gesättigt! Gerne wieder.

Vorsicht an alle Vegetarier/ veganer! Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Um unsere Subs zu unterscheiden bestellen wir immer zwei unterschiedliche Brote. Unsere Bestellung wurde ohne Rücksprache geändert, sodass zwei unterschiedliche Subs (darunter ein Plant-Based) nicht mehr unterscheidbar waren. Denn es wurde dann einfach zwei Mal das selbe Brot genommen. Ausgerechnet das Brot, dass ich extra für mein Plant-Based bestellt hatte. Leider bemerkte ich das erst nachdem ich in das eine rein gebissen habe und einen komischen Geschmack festgestellt habe. Das ist besonders kritisch, wenn man bewusst kein Fleisch isst. Genau das ist hier passiert: Durch den Fehler habe ich gegen meinen Willen Fleisch gegessen nur weil man nicht kommunizieren kann das eine Brotsorte ausgetauscht werden musste (was mit Kommunikation kein Problem gewesen wäre). Am Telefon gab es zwar eine Entschuldigung, aber keinerlei Lösung. Wir sollten den Unterschied selber herausfinden. Nachdem ich beide subs auseinander genommen habe, konnte ich die subs anhand der Soßen auseinander halten. Da war es dann schon zu spät. Fehler können passieren, aber so ein Umgang damit ist absolut nicht akzeptabel. Ich habe mich daraufhin versucht an den Support zu wenden aber da kam leider nach über 1 Monat immer noch keine Meldung. Anscheinend nimmt Subway wichtige Themen wie religiöse/ethische Ernährungsweisen nicht besonders ernst. Wir werden hier nie wieder essen!

Leider war die heutige Erfahrung sehr unangenehm. Der Service war äußerst unfreundlich , die junge Dame, die uns bedient hat, wirkte, als hätte sie überhaupt keine Lust, dort zu arbeiten. Ihr Verhalten war arrogant und respektlos. Ich habe ein Sandwich bestellt, aber da der Schinken nicht frisch aussah, habe ich mich für eine vegetarische Variante nur mit Mozzarella und Gurken entschieden. Ich habe höflich darum gebeten, etwas mehr Mozzarella zu bekommen und auch angeboten, den Aufpreis zu zahlen, wurde jedoch in einem überheblichen und unfreundlichen Ton abgelehnt. Am Ende habe ich praktisch ein fast leeres Brötchen mit nur ein paar Gurkenscheiben für 5,50 € bekommen. Das ist meiner Meinung nach nicht akzeptabel. Ich werde definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

Today I ordered two subs at the terminal. I thought it was great that they now have this system, because you can actually see what's on the sub and customize it. So I ordered an Italian sub with onion sauce and a Fiesta fajita with yogurt sauce. Everything was clearly listed on the order. When I opened them both at home, I saw that the toppings were completely mixed up. The Italian sub had the toppings from the fajita with yogurt sauce, and the fajita had the toppings from the Italian sub with onion sauce. That's really disappointing… I couldn't find an email address online to complain to, and nobody answers the phone number…

We were here on Sunday after a sporting event, and it wasn't very busy. Luckily, other customers didn't arrive until after us. The two guys behind the counter were very friendly. When we asked if we could have a dip for the potatoes, they gave us a small bowl for the kids free of charge. We ordered using the self-service kiosks, and the food was ready really quickly. If we're ever passing through again, we'll definitely stop here! Excellent!

Now self-service machines are the only way to order food. I think that's totally stupid! The great thing about Subway has always been that you can put together your sub live, see how much of each ingredient you like, and interact spontaneously. Today it was so busy at 2:30 p.m. that you had no idea when your food would be made. A dozen other people were also stocking the delivery service at the same time, so you couldn't notice anything while it was being prepared. It might still work when it's quieter, but then you have to squeeze between the ordering machines in front of the counter. And with a lot of customers, it's inevitably as impersonal as any fast food place.

Update 2025: This restaurant is no longer recommended. Update November 22, 2022: It's been some time since the restaurant opened, and the frequently changing employees are even more awkward than they were at the beginning. Most of them only speak broken German anyway, and the music in the restaurant is way too loud, making communication a challenge. What a shame. Original review: Finally, a Subway in the Bamberg area that's directly accessible by car! Parking right outside the door, a freshly renovated restaurant, and clean interior. Unfortunately, there's no sub of the day, and the menu is somewhat limited. Some of the employees are still a bit awkward, but that's probably due to the new opening. I'd love to come back! :)

We're truly Subway fans, and have been for decades, even before they existed in Germany. The charm is that your sandwich is made right in front of you. That's no longer the case with the terminals. The charm is completely lost! And it's definitely not any faster. After all, the employees have to work their way through the list of ingredients. If they're well-trained, it goes like a charm. Today we waited longer than ever for our order. And when will the comments about dirty tables finally be taken seriously? There were four employees there today!! The ordering machines are probably only there because the staff shies away from customer contact and reacts so unfriendly to questions. We sat in the restaurant for about 20 minutes, and we weren't the only ones who were rudely accosted. The sub, however, was delicious and well-prepared, and the ambiance had a modern, sterile feel. Subway has really gotten so unbelievably bad... the vouchers only seem to work when printed out, you can only order via the terminal, but when I tried to pay, I immediately got an error message without even having to put a card in my hand, and the cash register only accepts cash. 😁🔫 If I wasn't so hungry and pressed for time, I would have simply boycotted it. The subs are still super delicious! But with these stupid ordering terminals, ordering definitely takes longer, and there's no service to speak of anymore. You're just handed a rolled-up, taped-up sub in front of you, almost without a word, and that's it. It hardly has anything to do with service. Well, at least there are still people behind the counter, even if you barely notice them. Do they still enjoy their job? With practically no customer contact? Even though you're standing in the same room, less than 3 meters apart? That wouldn't be for me. I feel rather sorry for the employees.

I think the kiosks are great!! 👍 You can tell the employees are better able to concentrate on the receipts, and even if you have a question, you always get good, in-depth advice. Sure, you might have to wait a bit when it's busy, but that's only natural. I don't think the whole idea of the employees "hiding in the back" is right! You can see that the items are fresh. Then you can imagine that they're also working in the back, probably a lot. The employees also take the time to help with the app if there are any problems. If there is a problem thanks to technology that the employees can't help with, they always have a customer-oriented solution. I've rarely seen or experienced so much customer focus ☺️🤗 The store is well-maintained both inside and out and is in a really clean and tidy condition! 🥳 In short, I love the store and absolutely love eating there! I can only recommend it! 🥳🥳

The bad reviews about the machines are simply wrong. You can easily log in to your Subway account here and the vouchers are stored directly. I also find the ordering itself clearer and easier at such a terminal. Everything worked great and the employee filled the subs perfectly. The only disadvantage: Almost all of the tables in the restaurant were dirty, but I think the employee was alone and that's why he didn't come there.

Absolute disappointment! After waiting 30 minutes for my sub to be filled, I unfortunately realized too late that my sub had been mixed up. I ordered chicken fajita and got a cold (!) veggie sub :( I was already back on the highway when I noticed it. Unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. The cheese wasn't even melted, I'm assuming it wasn't warmed up at all. I also bought 3 cookies and one of them was simply missing a piece. I felt really ripped off, especially since I paid just over €10 for my chicken fajita sub... I will never eat there again!

I've eaten here many times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately there are now these stupid ordering machines here too. I placed my order and paid for it, but unfortunately I didn't receive a receipt or anything and I also received the wrong sub. When I brought this up, I was told I had never stated this and had shown my order slip. In my opinion, these terminals are hell and you can specify whatever you want, I think the employees use the one that requires the least amount of work. At least that's how it seems to me. There wasn't even a suggested solution for my wrong sub, I was then sent away with my wrong food. (The employee spoke to me as if he were a 12 year old). No trace of good service. Unfortunately it's not the first time that an employee has been unfriendly. I also think it's a shame that it feels like a lost place when you enter. Everyone always hides in the kitchen and only comes out when the screen rings for an order. Once the order is ready, everyone leaves.

Ordering at the tablet terminals takes some getting used to and is not intuitive. The logic in the ordering process is not logical. Well, you just make the order 4 times and cancel it 3 times. At some point you will have the order the way you want it. You just have to ignore any queues that form (behind me).

These new order terminals are horrible. The staff are constantly chattering to each other and stop making the sandwiches, so it takes forever to get your stuff. The Footlong Cookie tastes like an old cold burnt pork steak that has been warmed up in the microwave, just disgusting! The store used to be really good, but it's currently in massive decline. The portion of meat leaves a lot to be desired. You have the feeling that the employees are doing this specially, you are sometimes presented with bread with a little salad and sauce. Personally, I'm not from Bamberg, so I know there's another way. The price is simply disproportionate. I hope the operator takes the reviews to heart and acts accordingly. If not, then I feel sorry for the customers that included me. Originally I didn't want to give such a negative review for this branch, but since I like to go to Subway and see it as a healthy fast food alternative, I feel forced because the above-mentioned events increased in relation to the portion size.

Very nice staff and the usual food selection for Subway. The store is extremely clean, as are the toilets. There are sufficient parking spaces in front of the door. All in all a very good impression.

Staff can't speak German. You can't give me a reason why I can't have a sub without meat. They don't give me any alternatives. Very bad service. One star is even too good. The behavior of the staff is terrible. Not customer friendly.

Never seen such a dirty subway. None of the tables were wiped down. Food leftovers on the floor everywhere. The waitress enjoyed the meal the whole time while she was making it and talked to her colleague in a different language. Was there on June 8th, 2024.

Love their sandwiches! I have tried their meatless chicken sub ( halal) and it is absolutely amazing!! 😍 Their cookies are to die for especially their chocolate chip cookies 🍪🤤 Would eat here again when visiting Bamberg 🤩

Floor is dirty. Tables were full of rubbish and dirty and the employees preferred to stand around rather than pick up a rag. Gloves are not changed, and if you tell you you would like corn & chilies on one of the two breads, it will be put on both 🥲

I wasn't greeted at all by the employees and they seemed very unfriendly and impatient. It is unfortunate that the principle "customer is king" is not adhered to here at all. Lately it has often happened that the staff has little or no understanding of what you want to order and you have to repeat yourself often and then you don't get what you want or you get the wrong order. Maybe make sure that the staff also understands German. It used to be better. The quality of the food is, as always, very good.

I just picked up a sandwhich here before hitting the highway. The location is calm with 5 to 7 parking spaces. Clean restroom and large dining space. The Sandwich Artists were friendly and the ordered sandwhich was just perfect. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Bamberg or nearby areas.

I'll definitely be getting a sub or hot dog from you. The taste is simply better than the competition. I especially recommend the Club Hot Dog. The staff are always friendly, please keep it up! The prices are perfectly reasonable too. See you next time!
