Solide, sehr leckere schwäbische und gutbürgerliche Küche. Der Salat war erstklassig ! Die Portionen waren zudem sehr großzügig. Werden definitiv nochmal hingehen.

Das Ambiente und die Qualität des Essens waren sehr gut! Auch sind die Portionen sehr groß. Gleichzeitig sind die Preise vergleichsweise auch hoch, so kosten zum Beispiel geröstete Maultaschen mit Ei und einem Salatteller 18,90€.

Es war einfach sensatioenll(wie immer!) Super guter Service,tolles Essen,zauberhafter Innenhofbereich.Was will man mehr,lächel.

Joined local friends for dinner here. Excellent service. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the evening. The menu has a large selection of Original Swabian options. We enjoyed the Maultaschenschnitzel mit Salat; tellerschnitzel mit rostkartoffeln; bubenspitzel mit kraut and a local white wine. Everything was served hot, and excellently prepared. Portions were large enough to bring some home. For local Swabian dishes prepared with care, I, as a traveling chef, recommend this Staffele.

Unfortunately I can only agree with the opinions: The quality of the food was not sensational. I had cheese spaetzle. There was no whistle. The fried potatoes didn't taste like they were homemade, but like convenience food. Against this background, the price-performance ratio was not right for us. We had expected more from a restaurant with tradition. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the TV was playing loudly the whole time because of the football broadcast. That ruined any atmosphere!!!

We visited the place on the occasion of EB 2024 and had a very pleasant welcome and service from the waiter (Paco-Paco), who helped us from the beginning with quick service, taking group pictures and helping us with everything. We also chose food on his advice, with which we were extremely satisfied! We received very delicious fresh food served quickly and the dessert was also divine. The visiting local group was also very nice and friendly, we easily talked to them about football and chances. I can only recommend the place to everyone. The few hours spent here were REALLY AN EXPERIENCE! We were Hungarian fans, thank you! If we go there again, we will of course come back!

We came to the 2024 EC in Stuttgart as Hungarian fans. We were looking for a place where we can enjoy local traditional food and drinks. The place fully met all our expectations. We received the food quickly, fresh. And the server (Pako Pako) is the SERVER himself! He is attentive and communicates well. We thank him for everything! The food is excellent and delicious, and accompanied by local beers, we had a real gastronomic experience! If we are in Stuttgart again, we will go again.

We ate there based on the good reviews, but were unfortunately disappointed and won't be going there again. Since the turkey schnitzel was not breaded, I asked if I could have it breaded - unfortunately not possible. So I took the breaded pork schnitzel. The schnitzel is already breaded, so the breading looks like a finished schnitzel from the freezer. Fried potatoes were really disgusting. They tasted and also looked as if they had simply been warmed up briefly in the pan... the potatoes looked like they had been cooked the day before. The salad… Oh dear, where do I start. Lettuce leaves partly brown, no dressing, lettuce leaves hard. Potato salad had some spice that didn't taste good at all. We were so hungry but in the end we only ate the schnitzel and left the rest. Service: the gentlemen were nice and tried hard but one of the boys had dirty nails. Everything was black under the nails, which really disgusted me and I wonder if the employees in the kitchen also work like that.

We found out about this restaurant from a YouTuber and took about a 2 hour drive. What can I say? A beautiful little restaurant with a large outdoor area. The food was of high quality and tasted great! The onion soup is a dream. The price is sometimes a bit higher, but the portion size is also appropriate. We'll be back soon and yes, it's worth the little trip!

An institution for traditional Swabian dishes in Stuttgart. It's always a pleasure to eat at Stäffele. Warm welcome, very friendly service and a rustic atmosphere. Everything very clean and tidy. The restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks and food. The focus here is deliberately on traditionally local or regional offerings. This also applies to beer, to the wine selection, to the dishes on offer. The menu particularly scores points when it comes to food, with a very large selection of Swabian classics. Sausage salad, meatloaf, schnitzel, sauerbraten, roast beef and the like, as well as Maultaschen in some variations, right up to Saure Nierle, tripe or lentils with spaetzle. Here you will find what you are looking for. Everything I have eaten there on my previous visits has always been very tasty and well seasoned. Nicely prepared and the portions are always enough to fill you up. Meat dishes are fried to perfection, fried potatoes are very tasty and well roasted. I always enjoy it here again and again. My tip for dessert: the homemade apple fritters. Here you don't get the typical "frozen apple rings", but rather a real apple cake with a lot of dough on it, with ice cream or vanilla sauce (or, ideally, both). So here too it means a good portion full of flavor. The prices are very fair and, especially given the tasty and generous portions, absolutely reasonable. This, together with the great and very attentive staff, always makes a stay at the Stuttgarter Stäffele a wonderful experience and, in my opinion, is definitely worth a visit.

Rustic Swabian cuisine that doesn't have to hide! An absolute recommendation

First of all, I can't praise the service enough, as it was incredibly fast and extremely friendly and accommodating. The spaetzle was excellent, the best I've ever had. Generally great traditional Swabian food. The pork schnitzel was XXL and the gravy was excellent. The ambience is nice and traditionally Swabian. Overall the experience was very successful. We didn't wait 15 minutes for our food.

There were two of us there and we took the Swabian plate. The quality of the meat is very high, as are the side dishes. Also very sporty portion, which made the price of (I think) 34eur per person absolutely justified. We'd love to come back. In terms of taste and quality of the food, it is definitely one of the best Swabians in Stuttgart.

It tasted good and the service was very good and quick. Unfortunately, the stay got a bad taste when a group of people who were probably known to the boss of the house wanted to sit at a table. We - all a good 20 years older - who were the same number and were spread over two tables, had to move so close together that we could no longer move. A pity! Food is good, drinks are good, but unfortunately boss behavior is not.

The Swabian onion roast is a sensation!

Arriving a little late (8 p.m.) we were seated and made to understand that all the kitchens were closed and that we had to choose the dishes very quickly. We were forced to choose the same dish for everyone (4 people). The waiter was very pleasant, however the manager really seemed not to want us there. So we ate a pretty good dish in 30 minutes. I recommend but not if you are used to eating after 7 p.m.

Too expensive now. The food has always been good, especially the onion soup is always a highlight and the reason why we like to come. The ambience is also really impressive and the service is very accommodating. Unfortunately I have to say that the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Käsespätzle for around 20 euros and Hefeweizen for over 6 euros. The beer made me salivate. I've never seen anything like that in Stuttgart. Our evening for two cost us 100 euros. Unfortunately, this is no longer entirely consistent with what is offered.

A cozy, restful restaurant with Swabian cuisine. Six of us ate there on weekdays and were greeted warmly. The portions were appropriately large and extremely tasty. Really good Swabian cuisine. No long waiting times. The open, friendly cellars are really special. Keep it up. Great recommendation!

I was there last week with the University of Stuttgart and was served by a young, friendly waiter. I can only say that the service was top notch. Only recommended!!

The restaurant is located a little out of the way. Rustic Swabian, very fair prices. Map is well laid out. Food was very, very good. Portions are large. Plenty of choice of side dishes. Gladly again!

Traditional German restaurant with delicious dishes. We order a dish in the middle with all their specialties. It was delicious. And we did the same for the dessert. Great portions. 👍🏻

Nice classic atmosphere and highly professional, pleasant service. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio has now been derailed. Average culinary quality at high prices, e.g. simple Kässpätzle just under 20 EUR, wheat beer over 6 EUR. Portions are quite generous, but a good 100EUR for two is clearly too much for what is on offer.

These were the worst cheese spaetzle I have ever eaten in Stuttgart. Completely bathed in cream and tasteless. I would actually give one more star for the quick service. But that was deducted straight away because they were not only bad cheese spaetzle, but also expensive at €18.90.

Good home-style Swabian cuisine in a very cozy ambience in the style of a wine bar. Food was very good, we had the platter with everything and it was for 2 people. more than enough. Service was very attentive and the food came very quickly, even though we had made a reservation for 6 p.m.

We were downstairs in the old wine cellar with a fantastic ambience. The service was absolutely brilliant, we were fully looked after in our group of 9. Exceptional traditional Swabian cuisine at its finest. The onion soup served in a real onion is awesome, and they even added soup because the onions were a little smaller. One of our most beautiful evenings in Stuttgart, the Stäffele is always recommended, especially for groups.

Our visit to the stäffele was very pleasant. The ambience was convincing with Swabian furnishings. The food was good. I found the fläddle soup as if it were a finished product. We were very satisfied with the main course and the dessert and can recommend it. I was very satisfied with the young man who served us at the beginning. I would have liked to be served by him all evening. However, the woman (middle-aged) who served us didn't have a friendly demeanor afterwards. Apparently we had not met the service expectations. Her clumsy manner marred the course of the evening. ☹️ It's really a shame that you're treated like that on your anniversary.

Service kennen wir dort eigentlich auch freundlich, nur gestern war die Dame etwas gestresst und nicht sehr freundlich. Wir kommen aber trotzdem gerne wieder.

I only visited the Stuttgarten Staffele once. It was sixteen years ago. But it remains in my memory as one of the best restaurants I've been to. In the heart of Stuttgart, you have the opportunity to get to know the best of Swabian cuisine. Ambience, service and atmosphere are at the highest level. I compared the prices. They have not increased 100 percent even though so many years have passed.

Soldies food with good selection. Unfortunately it tasted much better once. Prices for Stuttgart are still okay. Service okay but not professional. Unfortunately the sauces are not homemade. Unfortunately, the ambience was the best part of the evening.

We were at a rock 'n roll meeting in Stuttgart at the turn of the year. Due to the turn of the year, the restaurants in Stuttgart were apparently at their limits. Stopping in without a reservation was an absolute nonsense. People were piling up in restaurants everywhere. A friend of ours had reserved a table for several people at the "Stuttgarter Stäffle". We had previously studied the menu online and were looking forward to a schnitzel. When we arrived we were given a small day ticket. The dishes on offer are very clear, but everything is very expensive. You looked for a schnitzel in vain. All dishes that a resident of Baden-Württemberg is guaranteed to know, but not someone who lives far away from BW. In any case, the food didn't mean anything to us. When asked about the day menu, the waitress told us that they had a reduced day menu due to the New Year. However, we asked ourselves why it wasn't mentioned on the homepage that only limited dishes would be available due to the New Year. Of course the prices weren't exactly socially acceptable. And what our friendships ultimately had on their plate actually looked like a children's plate put together. But located in the high price segment. Make money with just a few menus. I ordered a mixed salad for 6.50 euros, which was pretty poor. My friend asked if there would be fries. The answer from the waiter was that the boss didn't want a deep fryer in the house and so there would only be fried potatoes. But not individually. My friend didn't like the statement very much. But it has to be mentioned that the employee really tried to please the guests. Somehow he was able to organize a “burger”. When it came time to pay (a special, a beer, the burger and the mixed salad), 42 euros were ripped out of my salary. Pretty steep. From what I remember, the other dishes that were available on the menu started at 16 euros. There was another dish for two people, which cost 39 euros. Next to the price it was written in small print that the 39 euros would be for "one person". When ordering this dish you could multiply the amount by 2. Kind of a rip-off. But whatever. We didn't think the store was recommendable. Something for guests with high standards and the necessary change. And you could have explained when making the reservation by telephone that there was only a reduced and changed day ticket due to the New Year. If we had known about this fact, we wouldn't have come there in the first place.

Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man Schwäbisch essen gehen möchte. Und auf der Speisekarte findet jeder etwas Leckeres. Auch die unterschiedlichen Räume sind klasse, für jeden Anlass das Richtige! Werde sicherlich wiederkommen.

After reading a few critical comments, I was positively surprised by the Stäffele. Large selection of food and drinks, not exactly cheap but good value for money. We can recommend smocks with fried potatoes or lentils with spaetzle. Really Swabian and good. If we are in Stuttgart again we would like to come back.

Leider waren dir Gargrade sehr schlecht. Rind war komplett durch. Spätzle fast zerfallen. Maultaschen innen trocken, außen zerfallen. Alles eher ranzig, fettig geschmeckt.

Das Essen war super, die Bedienung äußerst freundlich persönlich finde ich es etwas zu dunkel, der Schwabe würde wohl sagen "heimelig" Alles in allem aber sehr zu empfehlen, Preis- Leistung aber absolut top.

Tolles uriges Ambiente, sitzt sich sehr schön und gemütlich. Wunderschön zu zweit, genauso wie auch für ein Familientreffen o.ä. Essen hervorragend, gute Auswahl an typisch schwäbischen Gerichten, sehr lecker. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen.

Leider konnten Essen und Preis-Leistung nicht beurteilt werden, da wir zunächst 15 min im Weg stehend warten mussten, bis wir überhaupt "behandelt wurden" ...dann durften wir an die Bar, da unser Tisch (15 Minuten nach dem reservierten Zeitpunkt) noch nicht frei war. Bedient oder gefragt, ob wir was trinken wollen, wurden wir nicht. Weitere 15 Minuten später, in denen jeder Kontaktnahme ausgeweichen wurde (die Chefin musste Bons sortieren, der Kellner mit dem Rest der Arbeit überfordert oder überlastet) sind wir dann halt gegangen, ins türkische Lokal ums Eck, Essen und Trinken, der Wirt dort weiß offenbar noch, von was und von wem er lebt. Man liest ja immer wieder von diesen Stuttgarter Wirt/innen, die die Gäste spüren lassen, dass man sie nicht braucht. Schade ums Lokal und um die, die sich in der Küche Mühe machen und um Lokale, die nett sein könnten, wenn nicht das Personal so unterirdisch wäre.

Trotz Reservierung wurden wir an der Bar platziert. Alternativ hätten wir zu Fremden an den Tisch sitzen dürfen. Freundlichkeit der Bedienung könnte besser sein. Speisen und Getränke sehr teuer. Ambiente dagegen sehr schön. Service sehr schnell und aufmerksam. Speisen sehr schmackhaft.
