Great ambience, super friendly service. However, the Stuttgarter Pfännle for 29.90 was not convincing! Dead fried & dry pork loins with a rather bland & watery cognac sauce. The spaetzle with it was ok. This can definitely be better!!!

Yes, there were 4 of us and 1 child aged 6. We ordered 3 plates, a bit of everything. The only thing that bothered me was that there weren't enough cheese spaetzla. They could have served normal spaetzla as not everyone was full.

A very rustic atmosphere that invites you to linger. The conditions were also very friendly. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The cheese spaetzle, which I ordered as a regional specialty, tasted more like a cheap convenience product that was drowned in far too much tasteless cheese. Both visually and in terms of taste, the schnitzel looked like a cheap frozen product from the deep fryer. The side salad consisted of buckets of lettuce, with a handful of fresh lettuce on top (although the dressing was okay with it) Overall, the food was a huge disappointment, and the fact that it was brought out just a few minutes after ordering confirms the impression of low quality at far too high prices. We were looking forward to this evening and were very disappointed.

I ate there with my girlfriend and my schnitzel with spaetzle was really incredibly good. The glass of wine with it also tasted very good. A very good Swabian cuisine in the heart of Stuttgart. It is only a few minutes away from the Feuersee S-Bahn station.

Das Staeffele ist ein hervorragendes Restaurant mit einem sehr tollen Ambiente! Das Essen ist mit viel Liebe zubereitet und schmeckt fantastisch! Wir haben nicht mehr als 12 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet obwohl der Laden voll besetz war. Sehr nettes personal, ich würde auf jeden Fall nochmal hingehen :)

Cozy restaurant. There were more than 10 of us and the seats were very cramped. Bottle of water costs 8.90 EUR (at Vincent Klink 9 (also not justified) but it has a star), the grilled salmon costs over 30 EUR, I just hope that it was caught by hand, wow. Overall, I've had better experiences. Service friendly.

We were very lucky to spontaneously get a seat at the bar on Saturday evening – and it was a fantastic evening all around! We can only warmly recommend the Stäffele-Stuben. The food was not only delicious, but also really filling. The Swabian platter “Von ällem ebbes” for two in particular was a real highlight: rich, varied and simply incredibly tasty – perfect for anyone who wants to experience the diversity of Swabian cuisine. The ambience and furnishings are something very special - so quaint and charming that you feel as if you are in another, cozier world. You notice how much attention to detail there is here and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. We would particularly like to praise the service team: warm, attentive and always on their toes! You can tell straight away that everyone here is really passionate about what they do. The boss was there herself and made sure that everything ran smoothly - firmly, but in a charming and motivating way. It was nice to see how well the team worked together. At the end we had a warm chat, which rounded off the evening perfectly. All in all, a successful, tasty evening full of warmth and enjoyment. Many thanks to the entire team

The Stuttgarter Stäffele has a very nice, rustic atmosphere. But unfortunately that's more appearance than reality, because the service and food by no means justify the price. You quickly notice from many little things that the restaurant doesn't care about the guest's comfort. It starts with the menu: no thought was given to practical handling, because the menu curves inwards and you have to keep pressing it flat on the table with two hands so that it doesn't curl up again. There is no salt on the table, although the dishes are prepared slightly under-salted. The service does not ask how the meat should be prepared. Beef is served bone dry, almost well-done. The inattention can also be seen in the way the food is prepared. With a full plate, the already overcooked steak is buried right in the middle on all sides by hot meat, Schupfnudeln and Maultaschen so that it can continue cooking. The meat is still edible, but not edible. This is unacceptable at a price per person of €37. By the way, the spaetzle is good. The Maultaschen are so-so. It didn't help that Maultaschen and Spätzle, stars of Swabian cuisine, were buried under all the meat and all the fat was dripping down. My suggested solution would be to arrange the things next to each other rather than in layers. I would also shift the ratio between spaetzle/Schupfnudeln to the meat more towards carbohydrates, because the meat doesn't taste good anyway. And it has nothing to do with Swabian either. So I would serve less meat and perhaps spend the money saved on juicier meat. I would leave out the sweet cream as a garnish. I like to be taught, but at first I don't understand how it's supposed to fit. Apart from the plate, the side dishes are OK, but not balanced. Total too many acidic components. I would keep the sauerkraut, but replace the sour sauce with a hearty one. When it comes to good food, taste triumphs; a nice plate full of meat is not enough in this price range. Ultimately, it's all a matter of taste, but a review is also justified as subjective criticism, even in a negative form. An opinion cannot be right or wrong, but it can be well or poorly founded. I hope the Stäffele can glean a few well-founded facts from the review. My feeling is that the guest is not the focus here. Overpriced food is sold to ignorant customers with minimal effort and the taste is not even mediocre. And not only that, the service is also poorly trained. And I believe that I am not alone in this opinion. I've never heard of a waiter begging for more tips. Tipping is a voluntary monetary gift. Anyone who is dissatisfied with money given to them and asks for more is not just considered ungrateful and rude - here in Germany we call such a person impudent. Anyone who is facing financial problems negotiates their salary with their employer and does not put the banknote back on the table and ask the guest for 2 more euros. The right question must be: Were you satisfied with the service, did you enjoy the food? Because only by asking can you do better next time. That didn't happen with us. But as I said, the aim here doesn't seem to be to want to do better. It's all about the money. So unfortunately I have to express my opinion online. What I remember afterwards: we ordered a cola and a water. This clearly means that you order a glass of cola and a glass of water. There was also a glass of cola, which was probably interpreted correctly. But the water came as a whole €9 bottle, which was opened and served straight away, even though a glass of water was explicitly listed on the drinks menu.

Was ein genussvolles Geburtstagsessen werden sollte wurde leider zu einer mittleren Enttäuschung. Wir waren schon öfter beim Stäffele und bisher war das Essen überdurchschnittlich gut. Diesmal konnten aber nur die Getränke überzeugen. Es fing damit an, dass man die Getränkekarte nach der Menükarte extra anfordern musste, weil sie schlicht vergessen wurde. Die servierten Gerichte waren dann eher Sparversionen der Beschreibungen. Schwäbischer Himmel hatte z.b. weder Safranspätzle noch Trollingersauce und die Pfanne war so klein, dass das Schneiden schwer fiel. Das Schnitzel sah eher nach Fritteuse aus und auch sonst waren die Gerichte brauchbar zubereitet aber nicht ihre recht hohen Preise wert. Das Personal hat sich zwar um Schadensbegrenzung bemüht, aber auch am Nachbartisch war das Essen nicht besser und uns der Appetit vergangen. Man hat das Gefühl, dass sich Wilhelmer verzettelt und seine früheren Stärken vergisst.

They were rude as soon as we walked through the door. Asked if we had a reservation and we immediately said no. A nice waitress told us we could sit at the bar and another lady came and told us they were full (mind you, they had plenty of open tables). They even laughed when they saw we had a puppy with us (they call themselves a pet friendly establishment). Definitely won’t be back and definitely do not recommend (unless you want to be treated poorly).

Ich hatte für 10 Personen im Hauptraum reserviert. Wir wurden aber im Weinkeller in einer Ecke platziert. Angeblich hatte jemand angerufen und auf 12 Personen erhöht, was aber nicht stimmte. Die Rückenlehne der Bank hat laut gequietscht. Es gab zunächst nur eine kleine Speisekarte. Nach 30 Minuten erhielten wir die richtige Speisekarte. Es gab aber keine Getränkekarte, den ganzen Abend. Der Salat zu den Maultaschen war sehr klein. Als ich noch Kartoffelsalat nachbestellen wollte, hieß es, dass die Küche dieses bereits "weggekippt" hatte. Immerhin konnten wir aber noch einen Nachtisch bestellen. Das Essen lecker, aber für die kleinen Portionen zu teuer. Insgesamt hatte ich mir vom Stäffele einen besseren Service erwartet.

We went to the restaurant with a group for dinner and were unfortunately disappointed. At the reception we were informed without a greeting that the table had to be cleared at 8 p.m. because eating was done in two shifts. This immediately gave an unfriendly and uninviting impression. Given the high prices, we expected the food to be of the same quality, but we were disappointed. The roast was well done, the spaetzle was almost cold and the red cabbage was mushy and tasted inharmonious. The cheese spaetzle was bland and could have used a lot more seasoning, while the salad had brown spots. The wine prices were sometimes excessive at 12 to 13 euros for a 0.2 liter glass. When asked about the high prices, the waitress responded with an unfriendly answer: “That’s just the way it is.” Overall, the experience was neither convincing in terms of food nor service. There are restaurants in Stuttgart and the surrounding area that justify their high prices with quality and hospitality - but we won't be stopping here again.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe zum Essen im Restaurant und leider enttäuscht. Schon beim Empfang wurden wir ohne Begrüßung darauf hingewiesen, dass der Tisch um 20:00 Uhr geräumt werden müsse, da in zwei Schichten gegessen werde. Das vermittelte direkt einen unfreundlichen und wenig einladenden Eindruck. Bei den hohen Preisen hatten wir eine entsprechende Qualität der Speisen erwartet, wurden jedoch enttäuscht. Der Rostbraten war durchgebraten, die Spätzle fast kalt und der Rotkohl matschig und geschmacklich unharmonisch. Die Käsespätzle waren fad und hätten deutlich mehr Würze vertragen, während der Salat braune Stellen aufwies. Die Weinpreise waren mit teilweise 12 bis 13 Euro für ein 0,2-Liter-Glas überzogen. Auf die Nachfrage nach den hohen Preisen reagierte die Bedienung mit einer unfreundlichen Antwort: „Das ist eben so.“ Insgesamt war das Erlebnis weder kulinarisch noch servicebezogen überzeugend. In Stuttgart und Umgebung gibt es Restaurants, die ihre hohen Preise mit Qualität und Gastfreundlichkeit rechtfertigen – hier jedoch werden wir nicht mehr einkehren.

Die Junge Kellnerin in der Apulle war etwas erkältet und gestresst, machte ihre Arbeit aber mit viel Charm und brachte uns zum lachen. Das Essen kam in sehr grossen Portionen und war gut. Dank der tollen Bedienung dieser tollen, aufgestellten Kellnerin war der Abend gerettet. Wir verstehen aber überhaupt nicht, dass man Reservationen annimmt, wenn man keinen Platz mehr hat. Das Essen war köstlich und der Service, zwei wirklich super nette und zuvorkommende, sehr schnelle Frauen, war hervorragend. Selten so einen guten Service erlebt. Die Wirtsstube ist natürlich eng bestuhlt, aber nicht zu eng, daher war am Samstag Abend der Geräuschpegel hoch, was aber völlig normal ist, wer das nicht möchte kann lieber unter der Woche abends kommen. Es sind einige Touristen da, trotzdem ist das Essen authentisch und schwäbisch lecker. Kommen sehr gern wieder.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. We reserved a table at 8:45 p.m. We were ignored at first and after asking several times, we were assigned a table. After 15 minutes the menu was brought to us. Once again we had to draw attention to ourselves several times. Spaetzle were supposedly sold out at 9 p.m., even though the table next door still had some. For a restaurant that's open until 11 p.m., you can't brush off a customer at 9 p.m. and say that there are no more.

Disfrutamos del Maultaschenschnitzel mit Salat; tellerschnitzel mit rostkartoffeln; bubenspitzel mit kraut y un vino blanco local. Todo se sirvió caliente, y excelentemente preparado. Unfortunately I can only agree with the opinions: The quality of the food was not sensational. I had cheese spaetzle. There was no whistle. The fried potatoes didn't taste like they were homemade, but like convenience food. Against this background, the price-performance ratio was not right for us. We had expected more from a restaurant with tradition. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the TV was playing loudly the whole time because of the football broadcast. That ruined any atmosphere!!!

We came to the 2024 EC in Stuttgart as Hungarian fans. We were looking for a place where we can enjoy local traditional food and drinks. The place fully met all our expectations. We received the food quickly, fresh. And the server (Pako Pako) is the SERVER himself! He is attentive and communicates well. We thank him for everything! The food is excellent and delicious, and accompanied by local beers, we had a real gastronomic experience! If we are in Stuttgart again, we will go again.

We visited the place on the occasion of EB 2024 and had a very pleasant welcome and service from the waiter (Paco-Paco), who helped us from the beginning with quick service, taking group pictures and helping us with everything. We also chose food on his advice, with which we were extremely satisfied! We received very delicious fresh food served quickly and the dessert was also divine. The visiting local group was also very nice and friendly, we easily talked to them about football and chances. I can only recommend the place to everyone. The few hours spent here were REALLY AN EXPERIENCE! We were Hungarian fans, thank you! If we go there again, we will of course come back!

We ate there based on the good reviews, but were unfortunately disappointed and won't be going there again. Since the turkey schnitzel was not breaded, I asked if I could have it breaded - unfortunately not possible. So I took the breaded pork schnitzel. The schnitzel is already breaded, so the breading looks like a finished schnitzel from the freezer. Fried potatoes were really disgusting. They tasted and also looked as if they had simply been warmed up briefly in the pan... the potatoes looked like they had been cooked the day before. The salad… Oh dear, where do I start. Lettuce leaves partly brown, no dressing, lettuce leaves hard. Potato salad had some spice that didn't taste good at all. We were so hungry but in the end we only ate the schnitzel and left the rest. Service: the gentlemen were nice and tried hard but one of the boys had dirty nails. Everything was black under the nails, which really disgusted me and I wonder if the employees in the kitchen also work like that.

We found out about this restaurant from a YouTuber and took about a 2 hour drive. What can I say? A beautiful little restaurant with a large outdoor area. The food was of high quality and tasted great! The onion soup is a dream. The price is sometimes a bit higher, but the portion size is also appropriate. We'll be back soon and yes, it's worth the little trip!

An institution for traditional Swabian dishes in Stuttgart. It's always a pleasure to eat at Stäffele. Warm welcome, very friendly service and a rustic atmosphere. Everything very clean and tidy. The restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks and food. The focus here is deliberately on traditionally local or regional offerings. This also applies to beer, to the wine selection, to the dishes on offer. The menu particularly scores points when it comes to food, with a very large selection of Swabian classics. Sausage salad, meatloaf, schnitzel, sauerbraten, roast beef and the like, as well as Maultaschen in some variations, right up to Saure Nierle, tripe or lentils with spaetzle. Here you will find what you are looking for. Everything I have eaten there on my previous visits has always been very tasty and well seasoned. Nicely prepared and the portions are always enough to fill you up. Meat dishes are fried to perfection, fried potatoes are very tasty and well roasted. I always enjoy it here again and again. My tip for dessert: the homemade apple fritters. Here you don't get the typical "frozen apple rings", but rather a real apple cake with a lot of dough on it, with ice cream or vanilla sauce (or, ideally, both). So here too it means a good portion full of flavor. The prices are very fair and, especially given the tasty and generous portions, absolutely reasonable. This, together with the great and very attentive staff, always makes a stay at the Stuttgarter Stäffele a wonderful experience and, in my opinion, is definitely worth a visit.

First of all, I can't praise the service enough, as it was incredibly fast and extremely friendly and accommodating. The spaetzle was excellent, the best I've ever had. Generally great traditional Swabian food. The pork schnitzel was XXL and the gravy was excellent. The ambience is nice and traditionally Swabian. Overall the experience was very successful. We didn't wait 15 minutes for our food.

There were two of us there and we took the Swabian plate. The quality of the meat is very high, as are the side dishes. Also very sporty portion, which made the price of (I think) 34eur per person absolutely justified. We'd love to come back. In terms of taste and quality of the food, it is definitely one of the best Swabians in Stuttgart.

It tasted good and the service was very good and quick. Unfortunately, the stay got a bad taste when a group of people who were probably known to the boss of the house wanted to sit at a table. We - all a good 20 years older - who were the same number and were spread over two tables, had to move so close together that we could no longer move. A pity! Food is good, drinks are good, but unfortunately boss behavior is not.

Arriving a little late (8 p.m.) we were seated and made to understand that all the kitchens were closed and that we had to choose the dishes very quickly. We were forced to choose the same dish for everyone (4 people). The waiter was very pleasant, however the manager really seemed not to want us there. So we ate a pretty good dish in 30 minutes. I recommend but not if you are used to eating after 7 p.m.

Too expensive now. The food has always been good, especially the onion soup is always a highlight and the reason why we like to come. The ambience is also really impressive and the service is very accommodating. Unfortunately I have to say that the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Käsespätzle for around 20 euros and Hefeweizen for over 6 euros. The beer made me salivate. I've never seen anything like that in Stuttgart. Our evening for two cost us 100 euros. Unfortunately, this is no longer entirely consistent with what is offered.

We took our lunch break and treated ourselves to a pizza. Afterwards there was a tiramisu and cappuccino. A fine Italian with an outstanding pizza 🙌 the tiramisu was a culinary delight. The service was top, the atmosphere was nicely decorated. Thank you very much for everything ❤️ We would love to come back.
