The Hegel is located in the city center not far from the Elbe and the cathedral. The restaurant serving German cuisine is very small and is located in a vaulted cellar. In addition to the excellent cuisine, the Hegel also offers local beer from the Magdeburg Sudenburg brewery (Helles, Pils, Rubin) as well as international specialties such as Guinness and several single malt whiskeys. I was able to have wonderful conversations with the innkeeper Thomas and the regular guests were also very friendly... let's summarize: The Hegel offers everything your heart desires... but it's better not to come spontaneously, the shop is small and popular... it's best to make a reservation.

Heute 30.4.25 11:30 Uhr Laden war fast leer, ich habe meine mobilen Daten geopfert und bin mit gezückter APP und Coupon 2x Backfisch an den Tresen getreten. Meine Worte: 2x Backfisch mit Coupon Die weibliche Bedienung wörtlich „Ich habe keine Lust den ganzen Tag aufs Handy zu schauen“ ich wiederhole: „2 Backfisch“ jetzt packt die Dame 2 Backfisch ohne Baguette und ohne Salatblatt auf den Teller. Ich halte ihr nochmal das Handy vor die Nase mit dem Coupon und der eindeutigen Abbildung der 2 Baguette, jetzt die Reaktion der Dame: “reden Sie mir mir“ Ich war jetzt selbst genervt, sollte ich ihr jetzt erklären wie 2 Baguettes aussehen??? Ich bin darauf gegangen ohne was zu kaufen, kein Wunder das der Laden leer ist.
