We just drank and chatted. The music was a bit too loud, but it was okay! Answer: It was okay, otherwise we wouldn't have stayed. The staff was also very friendly and offered to move us, but then we wanted to give him his tip instead of his colleague, understandably. We were there for breakfast today, August 23, 2025. The food was delicious, and we could sit and chat for a long time. The very nice service was also accommodating and friendly. It was again very nice!

Yes, I highly recommend it; the starter and the service alone won me over. I'd be happy to go back 👍🏼👍🏼

Very tasty breakfast with lots of choice 😊

We went to Café del Sol for dinner today (Sunday). We reserved our table two days in advance. According to the website, reservations for 8 people weren't possible after 5:00 PM. So, our last chance was 4:45 PM. When we arrived today, our reservation was listed, but only then did they start arranging three tables together so that we could all sit. And it wasn't very busy. Then we had to ask the waiter to clean the high chair, which should have been the staff's responsibility. Our drinks were ordered, but we had to wait 20 minutes for that. We ordered our food when we got the drinks, but we had to wait almost an hour for that, too. Quite a long time considering there were hardly any customers. We also had a toddler there, which didn't exactly make things better. The food finally arrived and was delicious. But many of the things mentioned above can't make up for the delicious food. A major criticism is the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Everything is dirty right outside the door, and it continues inside. Dirty floors everywhere, the windowsills were filthy, and spiders seem to feel very comfortable here, as cobwebs were everywhere you looked. So, dear Café del Sol... take this criticism to heart and change something about the situation, because the café is a beautiful place in itself.

It's a nice spot in itself, but as soon as it gets dark, you can't sit outside anymore in the summer; it's full of spiders, which cling in masses from the ceiling and hang around everywhere. Someone should clean it up; it's really unpleasant, because there are some large ones among them.

**The positives first:** The restaurant boasts a truly beautiful, spacious ambiance with high ceilings and an open layout. Despite its location on a main road, it's pleasantly quiet inside. Parking right outside is convenient (when it's not busy - it'll probably be tight when the restaurant is full). **The food and drinks** were definitely a highlight: very good quality, generous portions (we were able to take half with us), and the cocktails were also impeccable. The value for money is absolutely spot on. **Unfortunately, the service is lacking:** Although the restaurant was quiet on a Sunday, we were given a look upon entering as if we had to make a reservation. Our drink order worked, but then we waited forever for our food order because the waitress we'd promised didn't show up. We had to make ourselves known. The waiter who finally arrived seemed a bit snippy and unpleasant - not exactly inviting. **Cleanliness is a problem:** The Chesterfield sofas look chic, but the recesses were really dirty – you could feel dirt on your fingers after touching them. The restrooms weren't particularly clean either, which is surprising given the low demand. We also had to wait longer to pay. **Conclusion:** Given the price and the pleasant ambiance, I would have preferred more attentive service and better cleanliness. The good food unfortunately can't fully compensate for the shortcomings. With improvements in service, the restaurant would definitely have the potential to earn 5 stars.

Café de Sol in Magdeburg is highly recommended! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the burgers – freshly prepared, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality here. I'll definitely be back!

The food was truly the best. The service was totally unfriendly, with ants and spiders that hadn't been there since yesterday. We asked the staff about it, but they just fobbed us off with the statement: They'll be back anyway. So you won't find us there anymore. So far, the worst Cade del Sol we've seen.

Unfortunately, after about an hour, the server still hadn't said when our food would arrive. (The restaurant wasn't crowded at lunchtime.) They just said we'd have to wait longer due to understaffing. Refills for drinks were only received after repeated requests. Empty drinks weren't cleared away. Very disappointing.

Judging by the pictures, it looks top-notch. The food itself is more like a cafeteria. The pasta, burgers, and wings were lukewarm, and everything generally tasted more like junk food than good food. So, if you value good food, you should choose another restaurant.

Wir waren am 07.07.2025 um 11:20 Uhr im Café de Sol Magdeburg.Schon beim Betreten des Lokals ,wies uns eine Servicekraft, nicht gerade freundlich ,eher genervt ,einen Platz zu. Eine andere Servicekraft(blonde Haare) hingegen ,war unheimlich zuvorkommend, nett und beriet uns gut zu bestimmten Gerichten. Das Essen sowohl die Getränke waren lecker ,frisch und gut. Dann wollten wir bezahlen.Die blonde Bedienung war zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht zu Gegend. Wir zeigten und sagten sehr freundlich der anderen Servicekraft,das wir gerne zahlen wollten. Sie nahm es zur Kenntnis u kam erstmal nicht an unseren Platz,unterhielt sich 10 min lang mit der Tresenkraft,das Lokal war nicht voll. Dann kamen Gäste,neben uns.Ich sagte wieder,das ich gern zahlen würde.Sie ließ mich nicht mal ausreden und sagte schroff....ich komme gleich.... Da steckte ich schonmal das Trinkgeld wieder weg. Nach insgesamt 15 min kam die nette blonde Bedienung.Die sehr unfreundliche Bedienung gab ihr ein paar Dinge und sagte ,in dem sie mit dem Finger abwertend auf uns zeigte ....ach die wolln bezahlen....und ging. Die blonde Bedienung war in der gesamten Zeit in Pause gewesen u entschuldigte sich für das Verhalten.Brauchte sie aber nicht,denn sie hatte ja nichts gemacht. A cozy atmosphere, somewhat remote from the city. The food was delicious, prices reasonable. The service was poor. The staff were arguing behind the counter (visibly visible to the guests). The bad mood was particularly evident on one employee's face. She dropped a glass, and the shards and the puddle were only half-heartedly removed, leaving them under the table an hour later. A waiter served our drinks in bottles with an empty glass, and we were then left to pour ourselves some—not great service. Another waiter practically slammed the food onto our table, uncaring and unfriendly... We had to wait a long time for the food, but at least it was delicious.

Definitely - if you like American Foot, you'll definitely find something great here.

We were at an event on the lake stage in Elbauenpark and were looking for something to tide us over until the entrance... After a 1km walk (there were plenty of parking spaces in front of the building! :-)), we reached Café del Sol and were pleasantly surprised. Extensive food and drink selection in a great atmosphere, reasonably priced, and a short wait. The pinsa and curry bowl were great! The creme brulee crust could have been a bit crispier, but that's just complaining at a high level. ;-) The staff was friendly, although they seemed a bit unmotivated at times. We still tipped them. ;-) The restrooms were very clean. When the weather was great (we had 10 degrees Celsius and rain), there was a lovely, covered terrace.

We sat outside on the terrace. Food was ok, nothing special, unfortunately fries have to be ordered separately with the burger, despite a decent price. Service was ok, but at times it was a bit confusing. However, everyone got what they ordered. The ambience is nice on the terrace in summer, but in a restaurant you might want to clean the ceiling of the terrace.

We had brunch here on Easter Monday. The food (selection and taste) was excellent. The furnishings are original. The service was very nice, but was numerically outnumbered by the number of guests, so ordering a drink wasn't always quick. But that's "grumbling" at a high level. The location is unique, the number of parking spaces (free of charge!) is great. It's best to make a reservation... Have fun!

Come here very often, children's menu available, always tasty and friendly service. You like to stay there longer.

Saturday evening. Ordered the food at 7:35 p.m.. 8:20 p.m. politely asked when we would get our food. Answer, it would be very full and we would like to be patient for another 30 minutes, then we would have our food freshly prepared...guests who came after us had already eaten in the meantime...8.50 p.m. food was finally on the table...one burger was cold, the second burger was lukewarm..We didn't eat the burgers...and, despite drinks on the house's account, we will almost certainly not be coming back...

Although the sun is shining outside, the outside terrace is apparently only used for decoration. When the customer asks whether he can sit outside, the answer is given: how do you imagine I'm wearing a T-shirt. You can also pick up the drinks you ordered at the counter and carry them outside to your seat. I was both a guest and a waiter in this café.

Long wait times, forgotten orders, small portions, expensive Poorly presented food

We went to breakfast today and had to wait an hour for our breakfast (one roll with sausage and cheese and one scrambled egg with bacon). Then the ham cubes with the scrambled eggs were simply rubbish and inedible. When you want to pay, no one's there, and you have to go to the bar yourself so you don't have to wait any longer than you already have to.

It was my first time here. It will definitely be my last. The dining room is a positive. I really liked it. The staff was also friendly and very nice. After 1.5 hours, we finally got our food. I had schnitzel with fries. The fries were way overcooked, and the schnitzels were evenly rounded, burnt on the edges, and overcooked. What a shame.

The food was good, it was very busy that day and since we couldn't wait long for food they made an effort to ensure that we arrived at our event on time.

We actually wanted to eat something. You come in and say "Hello" to several waiters, but you don't get a greeting in return. We then went to the outside area. Apparently no one is serving there. Nobody came out to inform us. We sat there as ordered and not picked up, and nobody came. I could have tried to talk to them, but I didn't because I didn't see the point. There was absolutely no hospitality at all, and there were enough staff standing to the side talking. They even noticed us when we came in. So it's not like there was a lot of stress and it all went unnoticed. It was simply a zero-fault attitude. I wouldn't spend my money there either. We left without saying a word.

They should be checked and cleaned more often. But unfortunately, the guests are responsible for cleanliness. The staff is very friendly and also accommodates children's requests.

March 2025 - I can only recommend this restaurant, the food I had (chilli cheese nachos, chicken burger with a side salad and chocolate cake, with vanilla ice cream and cream, plus a large Coca-Cola) was super tasty, the food was warm and a pleasant portion. The service of this restaurant is really nice and they also pay attention to every request and every mistake made so that the experience is great for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, I thought that it could be very loud because of the two streets, but you didn't notice anything from the street, in fact it was a cool experience with the view of the cars and the Elbe. It was a great experience for me and my family and I can only recommend it. Thumbs up from me. Best regards

Food came very quickly and tasted very tasty.

The selection of dishes at the brunch is very tasty, fresh and sufficient; it is always quickly refilled when something runs out. However, I find it a bit confusing because you have to "pick everything up" from different corners and that's quite inconvenient, especially when it's very crowded.

We had personally reserved a table for 12 people for Saturday lunchtime weeks in advance. There was no table available for our family birthday party on the planned date. Not pretty, but it can happen. What shouldn't happen is being left standing there as a guest and being referred from one colleague to the next, only to be told, as you walk past, 10 seemingly endless minutes later, that the table is now ready. No regrets, no apologies, unconstructive protestations of innocence from individual employees, zero professionalism. So we can't say anything about the food, we left. Although we have had good experiences so far, we will not be returning. This was a really unpleasant situation for me and my guests on what was actually a pleasant occasion. Taking the visibly tense personnel situation and the lack of work organization out on the customer simply shouldn't be an option.

A wide selection of food and drinks. Very tasty and well prepared. The waitresses were all very friendly and remained calm and relaxed despite the large number of guests.

Three of us had dinner there yesterday evening. We were actually happy because we had already eaten there back then and the food was really tasty. Well the drinks came relatively quickly, but we had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes for our food. In the meantime, no waiter came by and asked if we would like something to drink or something else. Called a waiter and apparently our order was forgotten. Unfortunately, when the food came we were also very disappointed. It was cold, at most lukewarm and not very edible. A friend of mine is still sick from the food. What was good were the drinks and that the waiters were still quite friendly.

We ate there yesterday and had the Thai curry bowl with prawns which was tasty, although it lacked a bit of spice. The drink was a homemade iced tea which was super refreshing 5/5 for it. Ambiance is really nice both inside and outside. Gladly again

Ich war mit meinen Kolleginnen und Kollegen im Café de Sol. Ich war mega überrascht, positiv. Total gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Buffet ausreichend von allem konnte man sich bedienen, von herzhaft bis süßes, für jeden Geschmack. Alles frisch... Die Bedienung war super, charmant, humorvoll.

I had Pasta Spezia with “chicken breast strips” and have rarely eaten so badly. The sauce was a tasteless mush. The chicken breast strips did not have the consistency or fibrous structure that I know chicken breasts to have. Only the rocket on the pasta tasted good. There are two stars only because of the nice service.

We were greeted with a smile. We had teriyaki ribs with mini potatoes, which came highly recommended. Thank you for the super delicious food. A special thank you to Tim who served us so kindly and warmly.

I always really enjoy going here. But today I felt a bit ripped off. I had a large cappuccino with my meal today. Two cappuccinos of 4.30 euros each = 8.60 were then deducted from the bill. When I asked why she took two cappuccinos from me, the answer came - they are two small ones and make one big one. So I often go out to eat, even in expensive restaurants, but I have NEVER paid 8.60 euros for a cappu, 4.30 euros is already expensive but 8.60 euros is extortionate and cheeky!!!

The positive thing in advance: The service was very friendly and always had a quick saying. But the negative review outweighs the negatives. At our breakfast the sausage had already curled up and was very dry. The scrambled eggs didn't taste good at all and looked very unappetizing with extra bacon and another with tomato. Thrown carelessly on the plate is putting it kindly. But the worst thing was actually the toilet rooms. I haven't seen such dirty toilets in a long time. The inside of the window was completely full of cobwebs, the hand dryer, washbasin and hygiene bucket were covered in dirt. There's no wonder the smell when you enter these rooms. Just disgusting. We even took pictures, but I'll spare those here. The manager of this beautiful restaurant should be ashamed of herself.

The schnitzel you get looks nothing like the picture they put on the menu. It was over greased on the outside and dry in the inside. I was wondering if it was frozen supermarket schnitzel but that would be unfair for the frozen schnitzel. The salad dressing was very strong and drowned the salad, making it impossible to eat. Even the tomatoes looked very sad. The fries were meeeh. They definitely tasted frozen supermarket fries. Overall, horrible food, okay service and a good atmosphere.
