Strandrestaurant & Bar "blaue boje" in Rostock

We had exactly 4 pieces of meat in the “wild goulash”. The dumplings and goulash were served on deep plates. The portion size is similar to a starter. The price-performance ratio is not right for us at all. Luckily, we weren't the only ones who saw it that way. When I go out to eat, I want to be full and not have to order pizza afterwards. The taste doesn't stand out from "normal" cuisine either. The game goulash tasted just like the one from the closed restaurant on the main street. Otherwise it's a nice ambience and a nice view.

Actually nice ambience - drawback: we were there from 8 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. - there was clattering around us the whole time as preparations were underway for the next day (brunch buffet?). Not a good feeling when eating. The starters are recommended without exception (we had game ragout and pumpkin soup). The main courses were ok - game goulash with a lot more vegetables than meat (a bit like canned food unfortunately), red cabbage not homemade, rösti too thick and not cooked through; The expensive mayor's piece was not meat suitable for quick frying, but the fish plate was very good. All in all, there is room for improvement from a culinary point of view, but it's still ok - you can do it. Visually well presented.

A top restaurant with one of the most beautiful views over the Baltic Sea coast that exists in MV. In addition, great and innovative cuisine and friendly and quick service. Always worth a recommendation!

Great restaurant with very tasty food. Vegan is no problem at all, special requests are addressed in a very service-oriented manner. The children were warmly welcomed and treated as little guests. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend the restaurant. Tip: be sure to reserve.

Even in autumn it's worth a visit - cozy with a great view of the water. Food was super tasty - seasonal offer. Nice staff. Relaxed, relaxed atmosphere - we felt really comfortable. We will definitely come back and recommend!

Wonderful view and very dedicated service. Unfortunately, the fish is tasteless frozen food (?) - but the side dishes were very well prepared. I think you should reconsider buying fish, then you can definitely eat well here. So the P/L ratio is not correct.

I'm a little surprised by negative reviews. But maybe it's good to keep the restaurant in good shape 😊 We went here and found the food delicious. The landscape is a little melancholic but still beautiful. The service was quick and very friendly with a slight touch of humor. If you are in a slightly pensive mood, which suits this place at the end of September, and are looking for a good meal, this is definitely the right place for you.

Nice beach restaurant with a great view over the Baltic Sea. But the food was of poor quality and outrageously expensive. The soup was cold (bowl warm, contents cold) and the Aperol Spritz was absolutely watered down. Even after complaining, no improvement. Therefore there is no recommendation for this location.

We were there on August 31st at 6:30 p.m. The store was packed, the service was at its best; friendly and attentive. Everything still came very quickly. Then a greeting from the kitchen. For 37 euros for the rump steak you probably pay 17 euros for a Baltic Sea beach view as a surcharge

A beautiful restaurant. The food is fantastic and the ambience is great. We always come here when we are here. However, parking fees are no longer covered. There's no other way to get to a restaurant and given the high prices, that's a big minus point (+5 € for the time in the restaurant).

The Blue Buoy not only offers a fantastic view of the sea and the Warnemünde harbor and friendly service, but also a beautiful menu and its contents and a high quality of dishes. Arrived in wonderful weather. The smoke of the sea and a cool drink, just a great combination. The service was friendly but it took a long time before we could finally order. The food made up for that. Gladly again.

We had dinner here on July 23rd, 2024 on the occasion of our 2nd wedding anniversary and had a great evening. The wine, the creative, delicious food (even the children's plate was great, see photo), the service, the wonderful view of the sea - everything was perfect. I would particularly like to emphasize how extraordinarily friendly our 8-year-old son was treated. The young waitress was so kind and funny to him, so we all felt very comfortable. Thank you!

Our stay here was lovely. You can definitely eat here after going to the beach. According to our personal standards, the prices are a little too high for the quality of the food and service. If it were just that little bit cheaper, everything would be fine. The view is wonderful :)

Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about our visit. The restaurant itself is very nice and the view of the Baltic Sea is great. And children are welcomed warmly and courteously. After that, the good service stopped. The starters came on time and we all had something to drink. When after 1.5 hours there were still no main courses on the table, we asked. Unfortunately we received no apology or explanation, just excuses. The main courses were tasty, but rather average for the very high prices. Given the price level, we expected something more creative than a vegan curry. We won't come here anymore.

I actually like writing positive feedback. Unfortunately I can't do that here. We wanted to eat ice cream and drink a drink on the terrace with our little son in bright sunshine. When I first asked if this was possible, the answer was yes. So we packed everything up and went to the really beautiful terrace. As we were leaving, the “head waiter” met us and said there was no service here because the weather was bad. We were confused because our previous question was answered in the affirmative and the sun was shining. After we suggested that we also get the drinks at the bar and also bring them back, we were left standing. I really can't understand you have such a great location!! But being treated like that with a small child is simply not appropriate. Give the head waiter some communication training

If you live in the Markgrafenheide beach resort, you should definitely eat here. As a day tripper too, of course. Very tasty food.

Blue buoy is somewhat hidden to reach. However, the journey there is compensated by very good food and a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea. What I particularly liked is the lower area for spontaneous guests. The upper area is for reservations only. We recommend.....

Instead of eating, you feel angry in your stomach! You are forgotten, after an hour you ask where the food is - after the statement: it is there every Selunde - you are put off for another 30 minutes - talk to the boss again, who didn't care about the hungry guests - and then you leave home with an empty stomach. There was not a word of apology and the drinks were of course fully charged. Even for people who aren't hungry - you'll definitely be hungry after visiting the blue buoy. Thank you, never again

We have been to the Blue Buoy several years in a row and each time the experience has been outstanding. The atmosphere is always inviting, the staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious and lovingly prepared. The quality and service remain consistently at the highest level. The breathtaking view completes the experience perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a first class dining experience!

The Blaue Boje restaurant is in a great location and offers a great view of the dune and sea. The food looks great throughout, even if I may have made the wrong choice with the burger. I have to/will come again. The burger is good and only not top because of my own preference. The herb mayo goes great with the crunchy fries. A big compliment goes to the staff! I sat a little hidden around the corner, you were never overlooked. The service is quick but not intrusive. Simply class. See you next time.

Excellent ice cream with the best sea view and, above all, excellent fish dishes

We had already been there the evening before and were quite satisfied, as long waiting times are understandable and easy to cope with when there is increased occupancy - especially on holiday. My wife and I were still wondering how the person sitting next to us could complain about bad fish (plaice). This idea seemed counterproductive to us. Today the location has shown a performance that is not even fair to a motorway rest area. A good 100 minute waiting time at low capacity. Two fish dishes and pasta with tomato sauce were ordered. My pregnant wife's fish was closer to sushi than the intended dish, so of course it wasn't edible for her. According to the waitress, the kitchen was informed. This didn't help us much, but we hope things will improve for future guests. The wait didn't encourage anyone to ask for new drinks. The advantage of the waiting time was that it was hardly noticeable that the aperitif came after the starter. Unfortunately, only the view, ambience and price do justice to what is meant by solid gastronomy. Congratulations to the operator on the location.

We dined here. The view from the upper deck is of course magnificent. Booking can be made easily via the website. The food is good. What I actually think is too much is €6 for half a liter of beer. The bottom line is that you can definitely eat here and enjoy the wonderful view. the service was top.

A nice restaurant right on the Baltic Sea! We were holiday guests at the resort. We booked 4 places for dinner in this restaurant via the resort app because the app showed us a daily offer (schnitzel, mushrooms, fries) what the children wanted to eat. When we took the order, it turned out that the offer had been sold out for almost 20 minutes, the waiter then said, is that still available outside?! How are we as resort guests supposed to know that if it is no longer there, then there will be no more schnitzel! Children were sad! We then ordered something else. The food tasted very good, but unfortunately it wasn't brought to our plate as it was shown on the menu. The dried olives were missing from the summer pasta and there was no chocolate sauce from the chocolate ice cream sundaes and 30 cents were added to the bill as extra cream even though we didn't order any extra cream. Hence 3 out of 5 stars for the kitchen. The service staff was very friendly !

Absolute class. We made a reservation for today, 2 children and 4 adults. We ordered a bottle of good white wine and water for the children. There were noodles and burgers for the kids and we had plaice fillet, herring tartare, the punch with shrimp, fish soup and beef... and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was very nice and the view above was beautiful of the sea. A very successful end, because tomorrow we're going home.

A really nice location. Great view and super nice ambience. The food was very tasty and the portions were also sufficient. The service was very slow and some of the service staff seemed annoyed. I don't think it's okay that you have to pay extra for parking. The amount should be at least halved, if not completely offset.

We were guests on the terrace today and were allowed to take our dog with us. After placing the order for a large beer, an iced coffee and a bowl of water for the dog, a small beer arrived which was changed. After half an hour neither the iced coffee nor the water was there. There was no condition either, so we went to the bar and I wanted to at least pay for the beer. Here I was asked whether the iced coffee had arrived. No, he doesn't come alone. I paid for the beer and we left more than disappointed.

The staff was quite unfriendly. I actually wanted to eat on the terrace and enjoy the view. I would be told curtly that the door should stay closed and that it should rain every now and then. I don't understand what the awnings are for. The food was OK. Fish platter with just a very watery mustard sauce. Price, well 28€ without a side salad but a small beetroot pot. What annoyed me was that I also had to pay for parking, which used to be included. I probably won't go there anymore.

Positive: fantastic location, sheltered from the wind and yet sunny with a view of the Baltic Sea. The food tasted good and was nicely prepared. Negative: very obviously completely untrained service staff. When asked whether it was also possible to order a fresh mint tea, the waitress said that in principle this was possible, but because there were too many guests (around 20% of the tables were occupied at the visiting time shortly after 12 noon) and only two others service staff is not possible. Only after persuasion did she decide to comply with the request. There was no cutlery for either the main course or the dessert. Upon request, cutlery was fetched, but due to chatting with other guests, this took so long that the food got cold. When it came to dessert, we finally decided to get the cutlery ourselves, despite asking and waiting.

I had ordered a table for 2 people on the upper deck. When we came in, we were immediately asked if it would be possible to stay downstairs due to a lack of staff. Yes, no problem, the weather was good, so why not. However, a place in the shade was used for us because half of the terrace was closed due to a lack of serving capacity. After 15 minutes of waiting, it wasn't possible to place a drink order, so I went to the counter myself... and so it continued for the entire 2 hour stay. I would have liked to have had another drink and eaten a dessert. It's a shame about that Looking forward to a relaxed lunch.

The waitress and waiter don't know if there is a free table and ask them to ask another colleague. Another waiter doesn't know anything either. After all, it is the waiter's job to guide the customer to the table. In the end we didn't eat anything there. If you are hungry, don't go to a German restaurant

So - now I've been there for the third time and every time the same drama... no staff that can work. A service worker almost runs herself to death (and she would have earned 5 stars) and three temporary workers who really, really have no business working in the catering industry. How and why is it really always like that with you?? And the even bigger question is - why isn't there anything about it in the reviews here - or are bad reviews being deleted here - I'll see about it. But my conclusion is - great location but you have to do something - the guests will run away (and today in my time there were 4 out of 9 tables)!!

A very nice restaurant with a view of the Baltic Sea. The food was really tasty, unfortunately there was a little bit on the plate... But with 3 courses it was fine. Lots of delicious drinks selection. Unfortunately one star deducted because of the service staff... A few things simply took longer, not due to a lack of staff, but simply because the way we worked was a bit too loose and fluffy. The trainee at the bar is excluded from this, everything he did was super quick and perfect!

wir sind Pfingstmontag an der See angekommen und wollten zum einstieg in den Urlaub und auch weil wir Hunger hatten was essen gehen . da die blaue Boje nur wenige Meter von unserer Unterkunft entfernt war gingen wir dort hin . LEIDER WAR DIES EIN GROSSER FEHLER ! mein Mann , Sohn und ich bekamen auch direkt einen Platz da das Restaurant fast leer war . das Restaurant liegt direkt hinter der Düne mit einem schönen Seeblick . wir bestellten uns : 1x den Burger mit Fritten für 20,90 € 1x Fischsuppe für 10,90 € und mein Mann Nudeln in Tomatensoße in doppelter Portion da dies nur als Kinderteller angeboten wurde für 6,50 der Kinderteller . Essen kam : wir hatten alle 3 enttäuschte Gesichter . Burger war sehr klein , Fischsuppe mit 4 kleinen Stückchen Fisch und so enig das man mit 3mal Löffeln fertig war . ( Brot hatte ich mir dazu nachbestellt ,dies war sehr trocken und hart ) mein Mann vielen fast die Augen raus als er seinen Nudelteller sah . Kinderportion Miniformat genau 4 Eßlöffel voll dann war der Teller leer . davon wär auch kein Kind satt geworden . die bestellte doppelte Portion war nicht sichtbar und dafür wurde 13,80 € abgerechnet . insgesamt mit Getränken haben wir hier 61,10 € bezahlt . ich habe der Kellnerin 70 € gegeben ohne das ich etwas von Trinkgeld erwähnt hatte .Sie nahm die 70 € und lies sich nicht mehr blicken . auf Nachfrage wo Sie den bleibt kam Sie an unseren Tisch und meinte Sie dachte der Rest wäre Trinkgeld . NEIN ! es gab natürlich keine 9 € Trinkgeld ! Wir hatten nach dem teuren Besuch in der blauen Boje natürlich noch Hunger und haben uns alle 3 noch je eine Pizza wo anders geholt . auch wenn die blaue Boje einen schönen Standort an der Ostsee mit Blick auf diese hat ,werden wir nie wieder in dieses Restaurant gehen und raten auch jeden davon ab. fahrt lieber ein Stück ins Land z.B nach Graal Müritz wo es super Restaurants gibt .

Great restaurant with delicious food, friendly staff and nice ambience. We were here twice during our short vacation and each time it was a pleasure. You are happy to pay a slightly higher price for this. You can sit on the terrace protected from the wind and look out at the beautiful sea. There is barrier-free access with an elevator, so it is also easily accessible for older or disabled people.

I had dinner there on Mother's Day with my grandma (who was celebrating her 80th birthday) and 12 guests. Had to wait over 2 hours for lunch (drinks 1 hour). Works for an older company that doesn't have breakfast at 8 a.m. Sometimes there were drinks like gin and we didn't get the food at the same time or were told that the things we ordered would come later. Desserts, such as ice cream, were delivered at the same time or forgotten. The restaurant is not recommended for larger groups or is overloaded with walk-in customers. It's a shame, as the ambience/food is very nice, especially for older people.

I was there late afternoon on May 7, 2024 - the end of a wellness day in the Hohe Düne Yacht Residence. Ambience, service as always very good, but the quality of the fish platter left a lot to be desired. The fried potatoes, by which you can definitely judge a good cook, were coarse slices fried in some kind of oil, I doubt that these were jacket potatoes that had been cooked the day before, the taste was average on the lower level, the fish was of a variety (redfish, catfish, hake - according to the information) too soft, you could hardly distinguish it. Overpaid for €26.99. The beetroot salad served with it was very good. I myself prepare fried potatoes and fish (cod, zander) once a week, but I can't understand why a professional can't implement certain clever tricks. A pity . ...

The Blue Buoy was our anchor on our dream trip to the port of marriage!!! There was one day in October with sunshine and it was on the day of our wedding... the entire team at Blaue Buje ensured the warm atmosphere. The cuisine is top notch and the service is exceptionally good! The Blaue Buje is also highly recommended as a restaurant. From the first inquiry we immediately felt at home. When we had our first personal contact with Christopher Schiwek, the catering director, we knew this was our place to get married and celebrate. With his North German calmness and his professionalism and modern way of thinking, he had us wrapped around his finger. We were directly on ONE wave with him on the beach in Markgrafenheide. The food and drinks are of a very high standard coupled with a lot of creativity and zeitgeist. The restaurant invites you to enjoy comfort and privacy. We rented the rooms exclusively for the wedding. Every wish was fulfilled. As a customer, we were given very fair advice, so that in the end you can really celebrate your personal dream wedding. Sandy Schlie and her team were very flexible when it came to the course of the day and the organizational details. You really had the feeling that you could put this day in her hands with peace of mind. A solution was found for all inquiries and all points were always discussed honestly. She was always the first point of contact and took care of all matters reliably and proactively. The service team is absolutely professional and courteous. You support where you can and are absolutely authentic. We had an absolutely trusting relationship with all employees and were not disappointed. The billing of drinks was carried out with conscientiousness, as was the placement of the various menus at dinner. It was just great! Our preparations for the decoration took a few hours. Even then, we were treated kindly and were allowed to stay as long as necessary. Two four-legged friends were also on board for our dream wedding. They were welcomed by the entire team without any problems and were able to spend an exceptionally beautiful day with us on the beach in the sunshine. And don't forget the beach resort. Almost all of our guests stayed there and had children with them. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly good because the children had such a wide range of activity options and were warmly welcomed every second. We would just like to say a big thank you to the entire Blue Buoy and Beach Resort team! We had an unforgettable weekend with our families and friends with you! Wir kamen gegen 16 Uhr hungrig in das Restaurant. Man konnte sehen, dass in der Küche mindestens fünf Köche gelangweilt herumstanden. Nach ewiger Wartezeit sahen wir dann mal eine Kellnerin, die für einen der Nachbartische Getränke brachte. Sie räumte noch an einem Tisch Geschirr ab, dann war sie wieder verschwunden. Wir überlegten noch einige Minuten, ob die Warterei noch Sinn macht, dann gingen wir. Wenn man nach einer halben Stunde noch nicht mal eine Speisekarte bekommen hat, läuft gewaltig was schief. Und es ist noch lange keine Hochsaison. Ich möchte mir das Restaurant nicht im Sommer vorstellen…

Wir waren lange Stammgäste im Restaurant, der Service passte immer und die Qualität der Speisen war immer top. Leider hat beides stark nachgelassen, die Preise dagegen sind stark gestiegen. Das vegane Erbsen-Curry wird für 19,90 EUR angeboten, das Gemüse war fast roh und die Menge sehr überschaubar. Der Nachtisch (Parfait) war super, allerdings schlägt bei 2 Stunden Aufenthalt ein Preis von 4,50 EUR an Parkkosten zu Buche. Früher wurde das Ticket abgestempelt, ab sofort nicht mehr. Die Begründung dazu ist unverschämt…wir kommen nicht mehr wieder…nur eine tolle Location zu haben reicht eben nicht!
