I've never experienced anything like that. As soon as we came in we noticed that we weren't welcome with 3 moms and 3 boys, 5 and 6 years old The children should keep their mouths shut because otherwise other guests would roll their eyes. So we didn't leave any money there and preferred to go somewhere else. And that for a cafe that is not far from a mother father child establishment

In fact, the only problem we had with the food is.......The portion was huge! I just couldn't manage it, Bismarck, herring and fried herring in large pieces with fried potatoes. Very tasty and we didn't make it! Great friendly staff, very on the ball!

The fish soup is not in any price/performance ratio (too small, not hot) There is no local beer!!! The service still needs to work on itself.

Food wasn't bad. No local beer, Bitburger on the coast doesn't have to be. Service could be better

We were in the restaurant twice. 1x in the afternoon after a walk on the beach and had 2x Latte Machiatto with Baileys (wasn't on the menu, easily possible), a super delicious fresh waffle, a mega fresh apple strudel and a great apple cake. The service was very nice, we really liked the atmosphere and so we booked a table straight away for the next evening. The next evening we received a friendly welcome, had a great table, delicious ragout fin as a starter, schnitzel with cream mushrooms, children's schnitzel and for my wife an individual dish of pasta with spinach and fresh salmon fillet. Everything was very tasty and fresh, and I was also given friendly advice about the choice of food beforehand. That's how it should be, thank you very much for that. We can highly recommend the Strandhus, keep it up, we'll be happy to come back when our vacation takes us to Graal-Müritz again.

Plaice and duck leg. Three years ago there was a first-class plaice here. I wouldn't have thought such a decline in quality was possible. The very friendly service staff certainly couldn't do anything about the extremely defensive duck leg and the red cabbage mash. meal

We have been coming to Graal Müritz for many years and Strand Hus is always our go-to place, the food is very good, the dining room exudes coziness and the girls are very friendly 👍....We are already looking forward to the next time 😊

We've often eaten at Strandhus in the past. Unfortunately, this time we weren't impressed because some of the ready-made products were used. You can't just see it, you can also taste it. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long.

Waffles very tasty - expensive, but big. Unfortunately there is no alternative to cow's milk for hot drinks.

Just eat some delicious fish. Today I had cod fillet with savoy cabbage and fried potatoes. A clear recommendation. Cooked to perfection, the savoy cabbage is nice and tasty with the delicious fried potatoes. I was in Baltic Sea heaven. Very nice and very competent waitress, nice boss. As written, try it, it was really tasty. You should make a reservation in the evening, even in winter.

It was my first time there and I received a friendly welcome. The food was great and the staff was friendly and always tried hard! It is really very lovingly and partly family-style. There is something for the kids to read or play with and children and animals are also welcome!

When we are in Graal-Müritz the Strandhus is a must. Great food and service.

Owner is so fed up. The most beautiful sunny day in November and the existing outdoor area cannot be used by the customer in self-service for a drink and a snack.

We were there on motorbikes and wanted to eat/drink. The weather was so warm and we wanted to sit outside, which wasn't a problem at all (even though the patio had already been prepared for fall). Great service and super friendly staff. Food and coffee was also delicious, very large portions. We'll be back.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, the food was good too...

Unfortunately, there is no milk alternative for coffee, so a vegan coffee drink is not possible. Also, the place doesn't seem to be very child-friendly. As soon as we entered, our children were whistled (for no reason, as it was by no means loud) that it was a restaurant where you had to be quiet. However, the guests at the neighboring table were very nice and confirmed to us that the children were “well behaved”. Requests for a second cup to cool the tea for the children were met with eye rolls. Unfortunately, the difference between hot sea buckthorn with shot and sea buckthorn punch and the resulting difference of almost €2 could not be explained. The chosen drink was tasty and had a good shot of rum. I also like that there was paper and pens for the children and the (non-vegan) waffles were a decent size.

The children's plate looked very bland. Instead of fish sticks they brought chicken nuggets. There was no apology for the mix-up. Because we wanted croquettes instead of fries for the fish fingers, we had to pay a side dish surcharge or a change surcharge. Wouldn't have been a problem if they had apologized for the mix-up on your part. Well maybe next time. Otherwise the food was very tasty and plentiful.

The food was really good. However, you have to be aware that you will be sitting at a table with other people. Staff was also very friendly.

The Strandhus is more like a chic snack bar. The ambience is functional to nice. The service is nice and sometimes fun. Only my meal (steak with mushroom cream sauce) wasn't great - unfortunately! Steak was too tough and you could actually taste the ready-made sauce. 😪 A fellow traveler who had salmon with spinach, however, was enthusiastic (5*), which leads me to believe that the Strandhus specializes in fish.

We have been there several times after a day at the beach, a bike ride or an excursion. The food is good and you can sit outside and relax. The service is really nice - even when it's busy. We felt very comfortable there and thank you for that.

Food was ok, but staff very cold, curt and we just wanted to get away quickly. Especially the gentleman in the red shirt who sat in the way and wordlessly sent people away with hand signals. Except the big waitress

A large pot of coffee with a delicious piece of cake and cream for €5.90. Plus fast, friendly and courteous service. The restaurant is anything but child-friendly. Many parents think that their spoiled gold pieces can do anything. Therefore, if these are thrown out - that's a good thing.

Despite the hut being full, great service and good food. But you should make a reservation during the holiday season.

The fish sandwich we ate was prepared completely carelessly. We are disappointed and will no longer get fish sandwiches there. The restaurant, on the other hand, is absolutely great.

We got stranded here by chance last year, but this time we headed straight for it. In the evening you should make a reservation if you want to sit inside, there would be enough space outside. Great selection for everyone. For us of course fish!!!

Had dinner again at the Strandhus. The cod on a bed of savoy cabbage (I opted out of fried potatoes) was delicious, everything cooked to perfection and served warm. An sich ein nettes Restaurant mit noch (verhältnismäßig) guten Preisen und auch sehr netter Bedienung. Leider aber waren die Portionen, va. für die Kinder sehr klein, die Fischsuppe total überwürzt und fast versalzen sowie der Gurkensalat im Essig badend. Hauptmangel bestand darin, dass die Kinder zwar extrem schnell ihr Essen bekamen, wir zwei Eltern dann aber ca. 40 Minuten auf ihr Essen warten mussten. Die Kinder waren dann gelangweilt und gemeinsam essen nicht möglich. Schade eigentlich.

The waiters were all very nice, the food didn't take long to arrive and was also super tasty! Clear recommendation :-) The only drawback was that the waiters often mixed up the tables and their orders

The service is very friendly and quick. Unfortunately, this also gives you a bit of a feeling that you should leave quickly ;-) However, the price-performance ratio is very good for the location! They are also flexible when it comes to redesigning the dishes and love children. And liked it!

Very nice staff, the food was also very tasty. We were regulars at the snack bar there while on holiday. Unfortunately there are only 4 stars because one day there was a dirty glass (lip prints from the previous person) which is kind of bad, but otherwise everything was great 🏝️🫶🏻 good luck

On our first day of vacation we chose this restaurant because of the very good reviews and unfortunately we were disabused of it. For example, we once ordered chicken cordon bleu and what we got was something you could have made yourself at home. Frozen meat pressed into shape with canned peas which is extremely disappointing. Pesto pasta even worked and the cod itself was okay too. For this high rating of the restaurant, the result was simply devastating. No recommendation. Better to go to the neighbor.

We were served, but there was no capacity for special requests at this point in the season because the kitchen staff were “too frustrated.” We were informed by the service staff that no special requests from guests will be accepted. I find it sad when you are treated like that on vacation.

Of our 9 stays, we were in the restaurant for 6 of them. Closed for 2 days which is perfectly fine and away for a day. A big compliment to the kitchen, everything tasted delicious. A special compliment to our waitress in the front area of ​​the terrace. It was a great pleasure to be served by her; we really liked her nice, friendly and quick manner. Thumbs up and all the best for the future.

Had booked a table for 5 people at 6 p.m. It worked well and we got our table. 5 minutes later the 2 guests from the neighboring table came. The waitress brought the menu to the two people and took the drinks order. In the meantime we waited and looked around. The drinks were brought to the neighboring table. You could say it was hectic and everything was kind of in disarray. So we continued to wait until the waitress noticed us. We were given the menus. Later we were able to order our drinks and food. After a while some of the food came to the table, but no drinks yet. The children were given something to paint. When I asked if I could get a schnitzel instead of a steak with the steak ou four, I was told no, which was the first time in the restaurant, as it was possible in all other restaurants. Ok so I took a cordon bleu. Unfortunately, it turned out to be frozen, just like the vegetables. Friendliness Service and processes should be optimized a little, then you will certainly be able to cope with the stress better. Despite the great efforts at the end, there was still a decent tip. Lots of potential especially because of the location right on the beach.

Without a reservation (inside) you rarely get a place to eat. The outdoor area is free to use. The food is delicious and you don't have to wait long.

Unfortunately, despite the nice service and attractive atmosphere, I can only give it 3 stars. I had to compromise on the pork schnitzel with cream mushrooms. The portion itself is sufficiently large. The frozen schnitzel wasn't drowned in sauce either. The breading could have been a little crispier and I would have expected a little more cream in the sauce and fresh mushrooms.

We were invited to the HZ celebration. The table was so beautifully set and the food was on point. We were all happily looked after. There is a lot of passion in this beautiful restaurant! We'll be back soon!!!

Located directly behind the dike, 1 minute to the beach. Parking directly at the restaurant. It couldn't get any better. My family always loves eating at the Strandhus. Whether it's Christmas dinner, after a New Year's walk on the best stretch of beach on the Baltic Sea. The location of the restaurant is perfect and invites you to linger. And then the cherry on top is a visit to the boss, Petra Burmeister of the Standhus.We are always surprised by the extensive offering.It is always a culinary orgasm.The portions are generous but well balanced.Every time we ask ourselves how they manage it.5 stars from my family 🌟 The staff is very kind and courteous. Every luxury hotel would definitely like it. Keep it up and for us you are the 1 in Graal Müritz

Allergenic additives are well described on a separate page and labeled in the dishes! Pleasant, clean toilets at ground level. We will definitely come back for dinner.

This was our first time in Graal Müritz and on the recommendation we went to the Strandhus! The owner was there herself and warmly welcomed us. The service was super friendly and the food was as if “mom” had cooked. Totally recommended! Thank you for the wonderful time!

The food is unbeatable and the waitresses are very attentive and nice. Price/performance ratio is okay. We always like to come back. Beach is nearby and completes it. I can recommend it to be eaten very tasty

Lots of empty seats inside, all reserved. We arrived at 4 p.m., the tables were reserved at 6 p.m., so a whopping 2 hours of eating time for us and others. Tables are reserved, they replied, so if they don't want our money...we'll go back. Actually almost outrageous. You want to support the local economy despite the high prices and are simply turned away. Everyone seems to be doing well.

It was the first restaurant on our vacation and unfortunately we didn't eat there again. Seasoned meat was very pureed and rather mushy, few pieces of meat. Pork steak was fried twice dead, very tough and dry. But the crowning glory was canned mushrooms. My pike perch fillet was good, but in my opinion the Mediterranean vegetables were also a finished product and unfortunately the taste was not my cup of tea. The service was very friendly and attentive. Price-performance is simply not right for us.

I've been staying at the Strandhus at least once a year for 20 years. There was a time when I didn't feel particularly welcome, so I almost didn't go again. Luckily I didn't do that. The food at the Strandhus is always delicious, and I and we were always greeted and orders taken quickly. The service staff is simply incredible: warm, funny, with tips and recommendations about the menu. In terms of price it is absolutely reasonable. I advise everyone to go here when staying in Graal-Müritz. BUT PLEASE RESERVE IN ADVANCE! The places are almost always fully booked!

We were totally thrilled. Lunch was very tasty. I had potato casserole with salmon, spinach and gratinated with cheese. Delicious. You can also sit outside very well and you are immediately on the beach.

The food was very tasty and filling. What's particularly striking here is that everything was freshly prepared (no unpleasant aftertaste after the meal). Super delicious food there. Only at the herring full meal there were only 7 herrings. Therefore two stars 🌟 deduction.

Despite previous praise, the Strandhus restaurant could not meet our expectations. The food was average at best, but tended to be greasy and disappointing. The fried potatoes turned out to be soggy and dripping with oil, while the fish breading was far from crispy. The vinaigrette on the cucumber salad tasted way too sweet. The blackcurrant spritzer was served unrefrigerated, although its taste was pleasant. The waitress didn't leave a good impression because she seemed cold and often came too close to the guests, which posed the risk of droplet infection. She also repeatedly urged people to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 8 p.m. In terms of prices, Strandhus has increased significantly in 2024, with many dishes exceeding the €20 limit. Even simple drinks such as 200 ml of fruit juice cost just under €3, which is perceived as excessive. This cannot be explained by normalizing the sales tax rate to 19% and inflation alone. A possible solution could be to reduce the size of the portions, which are usually too generous, in order to improve the price-performance ratio. Despite this, the restaurant still seems to be busy, perhaps due to the guests' holiday bonus (you don't look at every penny when you're on holiday) and its relatively remote location.

A big thank you to the entire Strandhus team. The food was again super tasty 😋 and the service was great. We're already looking forward to the next time.
