Strandhotel Ostende in Heringsdorf

This was our first time at the Baltic Sea and we chose the Strandhotel Ostende. We were very satisfied with the service, the food, the facilities, and the location! All the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel is also very dog-friendly! We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back! Thanks to the entire team – you are fantastic!

A very nice stay, the room was top-notch, especially the bathroom! The breakfast buffet and service were excellent! Only at dinner was the service less than ideal – more attentiveness and less fake friendliness and consideration for *all* guests at the table would make a big difference :)

Incredibly great hotel, starting with the service upon arrival, and continuing throughout our stay, the service was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We arrived with two dogs, and everything was prepared for the dogs in the room... Very stylishly furnished hotel, we had a fantastic view of the sea. I highly recommend the restaurant. The dinner was fantastic, top quality, and the service was exceptional. Everything at breakfast was also excellent, with a good selection and, as always, great service. All in all, a successful short break.

A fantastic hotel, superbly managed. Great location, beautiful beach right on the doorstep. The suite with loggia is highly recommended. We enjoyed every minute there. The breakfast was very good and varied. The team was always there to fulfill our wishes. Everyone is very warm and attentive – from the manager to the chambermaid. Be sure to reserve a table in the restaurant in the evening. It's definitely worth it. The kitchen conjures up many culinary delights. The value for money is excellent. If we ever visit Usedom again, it will only be here at the Strandhotel Ostende. Thank you for the relaxing days.

Absolutely in love! We absolutely have to come back here! ... although the dogs in the restaurant area are a nuisance. That's unnecessary!

A 14-day beach holiday with perfect service for two two-legged friends and one four-legged friend – we thoroughly enjoyed it. There's almost nothing to add to the previous positive reviews, except perhaps the extremely unaffected, friendly service that everyone at this hotel, from reception, to the kitchen, the restaurant, to the ladies from room service and the housekeeping staff, provides guests. The friendly "Good morning" to people (and dogs), for example, with a smile, is hard to train; you have to want it – or the short small talk from the ladies at breakfast service, simply lovely and gives the hotel a family-like feel. Oh, and to all those who care about the category, Superior or Superior Plus, or Champagne instead of Crémant – just stay in Fehmarn, St. Peter Ording, Norderney, or Sylt; that's your milieu where you can discuss these questions among yourselves. For anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing and appreciative stay, the Strandhotel Ostende is highly recommended!

Didn't use the room! The hotel, however, is a feast for the eyes. Stylish, Nordic, and modern. The breakfast was excellent. Clean, modern, fresh, and presented in a relaxed manner. The food was fresh, replenished promptly, and the egg dishes were well-seasoned and served warm. The service was VERY, VERY attentive WITHOUT being intrusive. Orders were served quickly; the team worked together well. The location was dreamy – right on the beach. The terrace was clean and well-maintained. Dogs are allowed outside. You'll want to come back often.

This was a fantastic short break. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is practically right on the beach, and the view from the room is breathtaking. Especially when the sun isn't shining, the panoramic window offers a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea. This certainly won't be my last stay there, and I would 100% recommend the hotel.

A very nice hotel with excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a fantastic breakfast buffet with delicious egg dishes. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn't nestled in the dunes like the photo suggests. I booked this hotel solely because of its location. That's why it only gives it one star.

We spent absolutely wonderful time in the Ostende hotel in the Penthouse room. The hotel has been recently renovated, it is modern and well designed with top quality amenities. It is small enough to give the feeling of cosiness and friendliness, we felt very welcomed. The food in the restaurant is great! And did I mention the location - right at the promenade, some 10 steps from the entry to the beach? We loved every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to come back. Thank you everyone for making our stay so unforgettable!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and can definitely recommend it. Only one or two minor things were a bit annoying, but the rest was great :) Positive: - Location (just a few steps from the beach and right on the promenade) - Very friendly staff - Great and delicious breakfast selection - Beautiful, modern hotel with a great view, quiet - Large and well-furnished room (junior suite with sea view) - Bicycles for rent Negative: - Parking is too expensive for the price you pay for the overnight stay, and there's hardly anything cheaper or free around here - Poor Wi-Fi, smart TV/apps weren't really usable, streaming only worked via mirroring - From our room on the first floor, we had a direct view of the snack bar across the street. There are beach chairs facing the hotel, so everyone sitting there could practically see right into your room. We always felt like we were being watched, and we couldn't use the loggia as comfortably as we'd hoped. Luckily, we were able to change rooms two days later and move up one floor. The reception staff were very accommodating and helpful. The view of the sea from the new room was even more amazing, and no one outside could see it either. We'll keep that in mind for next time :) We'll definitely be back.

A 4-star hotel with a hotel bar where you can only get a sour whiskey after 8:30 p.m. That's poor, it could be better.

Super lovely staff, great breakfast and a really great dinner

We were welcomed very nicely. We were welcomed into the room with a personalized welcome card, fresh flowers and chocolates. We had the junior suite with a wonderful sea view. We didn't lack anything. Very comfortable. Bathrobes, umbrella, slippers, bathing bag, minibar, coffee... a lot was provided to us. The breakfast was also super delicious. Different types of coffee could be chosen or even sparkling wine was offered. Fresh fruit. Juices. Omlette, fried eggs... many things could be chosen and were freshly prepared. We felt very comfortable. Located right on the beach promenade. If you forgo cleaning your room, you received small gifts as a thank you. Thank you for the lovely weekend at your hotel.

I would have loved to move here permanently. Such a beautiful hotel! Exceptionally good service (all wishes were fulfilled), a well-kept little sauna area, a great location, and a room with a sea view… oh, I want to go back to Ahlbeck!

First of all: we had a wonderful weekend. The house is stylishly and high-quality restored, the spa area is also valuable and intimate (we were mostly alone), the dinner is first-class and absolutely recommended - but above all, the Ostend shines with exceptionally friendly service in all areas. The hotel's own pictures look nice, but they can't convey the warmth of the staff - you have to experience that for yourself :)

An all around fantastic stay. Starting with the warm welcome and greeting in the super nice and cozy room with a card, delicious parlins and a pretty bouquet of flowers, to a beautiful spa, delicious breakfast in the morning and a great restaurant with great service at all meals, I can only warmly recommend the hotel. We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4 nights and felt very comfortable. The rooms are extremely stylish and modern, we had a double room with a sea view, which is definitely recommended. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating in all areas. Only the wellness area was a bit small, but the number of rooms is manageable. We can also unreservedly recommend the restaurant. The food was of excellent quality. Many thanks to the staff.

Haben uns für ein 3 Gänge Menü entschieden und unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt sondern überboten. Our stay was very nice. The room and the entire style of the hotel create a very good feel-good atmosphere. The staff is attentive and professional. The view of the sea from the room was simply beautiful.

Wir hatten uns aufgrund guter Bewertungen , an unseren letzten Urlaubstag, für dieses Restaurant entschieden . Leider wurden wir bitter enttäusch! Wir wählten das 4 Gänge Menü mit einem Glas Sekt zum Beginn. Soweit so gut . Es wurde rasch Brot und Sekt serviert , darauf folgte kurze Zeit später der erste Gang . Zack serviert ! Ein Glas Wein zum Essen gab es erst auf Nachfrage. Der 2. Gang folgte schnell ohne Kommentar, aber dann hatte eine Gesellschaft im Nebenraum für die zwei überforderten Angestellten höchste Priorität. Die letzten beiden Gänge wurden lieblos und fast kalt serviert. Wir gingen enttäuscht, mit einer teuren Erfahrung aus dem Lokal .

The hotel is located right on the beach with a sea view 😍 the staff is super friendly 🍀 also great for dogs. Even our Aussie lady was able to relax straight away in the hotel room because the rooms are well insulated. And the dog beach is just around the corner. Perfect for a little break for dog and owner 🥰

Last weekend we celebrated a friend's birthday at the Hotel Ostende in Ahlbeck as part of a culinary trip with 9 chefs. It was an evening with great creations, good wines and, above all, motivated people who only had one concern: to give us as the guests an unforgettable evening. All I can say is that you succeeded completely and we look forward to the next trip with you. A big thank you to all the chefs, the super motivated service team, the wine sommelier and of course to the wonderful hotel director Ms. Glöckner.

Der Service war absolut herausragend – aufmerksam, freundlich und stets zur Stelle, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Team las uns förmlich die Wünsche von den Lippen ab und sorgte dafür, dass es uns an nichts fehlte. Gerichte waren wunderbar angerichtet und voller Geschmack, man spürt die Leidenschaft in der Küche. Ein echtes kulinarisches Erlebnis in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! From arrival to departure it was an all-round wonderful holiday. We received a very friendly welcome, the rooms are fantastic and comfortable. We think the idea of ​​the bags is particularly nice if you don't want room cleaning. It's little things like that that make it special. The breakfast is very varied and rich. The waitresses are consistently friendly and accommodating. We had really nice days.

Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen. Haben das 3. Gänge Menü genommen mit Weinbegleitung. Konten uns die Gänge selber aussuchen und haben dann dazu den passenden Wein bekommen. Das hat alles super zusammen gepasst und war sehr lecker. Haben direkt für ein paar Tage später erneut gebucht.

Für uns passte alles! Brot, Butter, Öl und noch ein genialer Gruß aus der Küche kamen vorweg,Vorspeise -Thai Curry-Schaumsüppchen war unsagbar köstlich,obwohl ich kein Koriander Fan bin,habe ich nichts in der Terrine zurück gelassen. Seesaiblingsfilet war ein Gedicht,die Beilagen waren so reichlich , dass ich aufgeben musste.Auch der Tafelspitz von meinem Mann, war wunderbar zubereitet.Die Speisekarte ist nicht sehr umfangreich aber für uns war es ausreichend .Die 3-5 oder auch 6 Gängemenüs kamen bei anderen Gästen sehr gut an, für uns wäre es zuviel gewesen.Fazit: Unbedingt aufsuchen und selber probieren,es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Das Sommer BBQ hat uns absolut überzeugt. Das Essen war auf Spitzenniveau und das Ambiente mit tollem DJ und Champagner Bar auf der Terrasse war sehr elegant. Alle Gäste haben sich an den Dresscode in weiß gehalten und es war insgesamt eine sehr tolle und positive Stimmung. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

A champagne at the reception and a small bouquet of fresh flowers with chocolates to welcome you in the room - the perfect start to a holiday. Super nice room with loggia and view of the Baltic Sea, comfortable bed and everything you need. Delicious breakfast with attentive service is the perfect start to a day at the beach. In the evening an outstanding meal in the restaurant - holiday heart, what more could you want!!! Yes, it costs one or two euros more, but it's definitely worth it!!!

This beautiful hotel is a real eye-catcher. You get the feeling that an interior designer was allowed to let off steam here. The rooms are extremely well styled. There was no skimping on nice details either. We slept extremely well and would have loved to take the Carl Hansen & Søn furniture home with us. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable. Only the breakfast buffet seemed a bit old-fashioned for our taste. Although there was everything, we are not big fans of Mettwurst in the morning. We also found the presentation of the food not to be up to par with the rest of the hotel. But that's a personal preference.

Sehr nettes Personal! Das Essen war super lecker, sehr schön angerichtet und auch von der Menge so, dass man gut satt geworden ist (6 Gänge Menü). Einziges Manko waren die Kartoffeln. Die haben nicht gut geschmeckt.

Service, Qualität der Produkte, die Liebe zum Detail bei jedem Gang war einfach klasse. Die Atmosphäre lud zum verweilen und genießen ein. Ein tolle Weinauswahl ein Restaurant auf Sterneniveau.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen zu angemessenem Preis und gutem Service. Qualität nur wenig unter Sterneniveau. Für Feinschmecker bestens zu empfehlen.

Es war wunderbar und äußerst lecker. 1 Gast wurde spontan Vegetarier und das Restaurant hat perfekt reagiert und die Prinzessin trotzdem glücklich bekommen. Es war ein gaaaanz toller Abend mit viel Humor und sehr leckerem außergewöhnlichem Essen. Ich würde 6 Sterne geben :-)

Im letzten Jahr beobachten können,wie hier der Aussenbereich aufwendig restauriert wurde.Nun beim jetzigen Aufenthalt,rund um Silvester zu 2024,das Objekt auch von innen zu begutachten…Schon von der Dame an der Rezeption nett begrüßt und weitergeleitet Inness Restaurant.Dort dann auf Anfrage,auch einen schönen Tisch empfohlen bekommen,so die Tische an den Fenstern schon belegt waren.Im Nachhinein zügig die Karte einsehen können,und natürlich erst das Getränk bestellt.Hernach vom netten Kellner,sogar zwei mal einen „Gruß aus der Küche“ serviert bekommen,mit jeweils frischen Brotscheiben…Dies allein hätte schon satt gemacht.Doch dann die Suppe „Fenchel mit Ananas ,mit Garnele Öl und Kresse“…Das Ducksteiner Weißbier dazu wurde später noch ergänzt,mit dem Angebot eines Espresso,der auf‘s Haus gehen sollte…..Alles in Allem ein rundum erinnerungswürdiges Gesamt-Erlebnis,im hiesigen Restaurant,was jederzeit zum Weiterempfehlen geeignet ist !! 🤔😁👍

Ein traumhaft schönes, mit viel Liebe zum Detail neu gestaltetes Hotel in direkter Lage am Strand von Ahlbeck. All das wird getoppt von einem Team, das seinen zwei- und vierbeinigen Freunden wirklich jeden Wunsch von den Augen abliest und überaus zuvorkommende und hilfsbereit ist. Ein kleiner aber feiner Spa-Bereich so wie eine vorzügliche Küche machten unseren Aufenthalt im Strandhotel Ostende zu einer kleinen Traum-Auszeit. Man fühlt sich wirklich zu Gast bei Freunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Es war wunderschön. Nochmals ganz herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Personal. Meine Frau und ich haben unseren 30. Hochzeitstag gefeiert und die Mitarbeiter des Restaurants haben unseren Tisch wunderschön hergerichtet. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen.
