Excellent cuisine with a magnificent view of the Kaiser Mountains. To go with the excellent Hofbräu Traunstein beer 🍺👌🏻⭐️ Reservations recommended on nice days and weekends.

We loved it! The rustic ambiance, the delicious food, and the friendly and attentive service. A wide selection of dishes, including a good selection of meatless options, was also available. Reasonable prices. The portions were generous, so I had to forgo dessert. The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime on a weekday. Due to the weather, we couldn't use the terrace. It would have been very nice. Reservations are recommended. Parking is available at the restaurant.

We were there in the beer garden in glorious weather. Everything was fantastic. And the highlight was the view of Aschau. A few meters higher, near the small chapel, the view was even more beautiful.

We've been coming to the Stoaner Alm for several years now, as we've always loved the food and the ambiance. This time, however, we had a very bad experience. We had made reservations by phone for two evenings...Sunday and Thursday. Everything went smoothly on Sunday, but on Thursday, after we asked about our reserved table, we were told there were no seats available. Apparently, when we called, we had mentioned that we would only come if the weather was nice and there was outdoor seating. This was simply made up; we were sitting inside on Sunday, too. We were pretty perplexed at first, as we were looking forward to a lovely evening with music. We then asked if we could at least eat something outside under cover, but this was immediately and categorically refused. The waiters argued that they couldn't carry anything outside in the rain. There was neither a proper apology nor any attempt at helping us find an alternative where we could try to get a seat. We were repeatedly told, "We don't have a seat and it's your own fault." That's no way to treat guests. It's the lowest of the low. We then tried for over an hour in Reit im Winkl to find somewhere to eat, which unfortunately wasn't possible, and ended up returning to the accommodation without any food. Dear Stoaneralm team...you completely ruined our last day of vacation, really completely. One more tip from us...go to the Birkenhof directly below the Stoaner Alm; the food is just as good, if not better, the view is fantastic, and something like that would never happen to the lovely owners Verena and Anton; they would never treat you as rudely as we did at the Stoaner Alm.

I thought I already rated this place as we use to go as tradition every summer. Schweinhaxe is simply great. Nice cooked, crispy and tender. My dad from Spain loves to eat it here rather than in any other bavarian place. And I agree. Since 14 years living in Germany is the best one I have ever eaten. Price is great for the quality and value. See you next year :)

We made ourselves comfortable on the terrace and were served deliciously and with a friendly smile. That's not to be taken for granted given the crowds, but the guests clearly felt at ease and not rushed. The endless calm and patience of the waiters rubbed off on the guests. Incredibly friendly hosts. We were there on Wednesday, but unfortunately, we couldn't get a seat on Thursday because of the music evening. Thank you so much for everything 😘😘😘😘🥰 🙏🏻

A very nice restaurant with extremely friendly service. The menu is varied and there are great dishes for every taste. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, as well as the classics, beautifully presented. The view from the terrace is unique, but reservations are essential.

Thank God there are such wonderful restaurants where everything fits, make sure you reserve and traditionally the garlic foam soup is awesome

The food is excellent, whatever you choose. The service is attentive and friendly. The presentation of the dishes is perfect. We've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed.

A hidden gem in a beautiful house with a stunning view of the Unterberg from the terrace, the wild and tame Kaiser Mountains. The food was very good: the roast with dumplings had a crispy crust, a great sauce, and the Alpine burger was juicy with delicious fries and a variety of sauces. The Cordon Bleu also looked good. To finish, the Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancake) and delicious fresh apple sauce with chunks. A wonderful place; I'd love to come back. Keep up the good work!

Great atmosphere, excellent service that's always there when you need something and takes good care of you. Plenty of parking directly behind the hotel. A fantastic view of the golf course and the Wilder Kaiser and Zamer Kaiser mountains. The food is highly recommended; freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. We'd love to go back! 😊!!!

We had mountaineer's pancakes and goat cheese salad for main course, along with a couple of hearty wheat beers. Cons: - Nothing at all. If I were actively looking for them, I could tell that there was no salt or pepper on my table, and I had to spend 10 seconds grabbing it from the neighboring table. But I'm not looking. Cons: - Fantastic view. It couldn't be better! - Innovative dishes that were beautifully presented and also incredibly delicious. - A very friendly waitress who was a pleasure to chat with. - A beautiful and cozy interior. The flowers on our table were real, and that's just how it is: attention to detail! You absolutely have to go here if you're in the area: A definite recommendation!

What can I say... my eighth time in Reit, my first time at the Stoaner Alm, but definitely not the last! Super friendly, super delicious food, super service. Another tribute to Bavarian hospitality, may everyone else finally understand it. And I'm from Lower Saxony. Top recommendation.

Location and view was amazing. We had a table at the edge of the terrace for two of us. Service was great and Spätzle were amazing. We were super greedy and got the kaiserschmarn for dessert. It lasted us three days the portion was so big we took it home.

Poor service experience. Waitress all but ignored me. Another group came in after me and their table was set with napkins and cutlery; mine was not. She sat with this group, who were clearly friends of hers, and chatted with them for the duration of my meal. I had to interrupt their conversation to request a napkin, and later again so I could request to pay for my meal. If you are not a local, avoid.

Very tasty food and good service in a nice and harmonious atmosphere. The Alm is sometimes fully booked for days, so it is advisable to reserve a table.

Can I give this place 6 stars?! Had the Haxe today and it just fell off the bone, tender and juicy to the end with crackling that was crisp and to die for. The place is cosy, service is excellent and the food amazing, everytime we go. It's worth the drive and the prices are good. Highly recommend the duck too!!

We sat on the terrace of the Stoaner Alm in bright sunshine. A really great panorama with mountain peaks... Just beautiful. The service is very friendly and accommodating. I ate the crusted roast - very good!👍 There is also a note in the menu that if you have dietary restrictions, please contact the service. I can highly recommend the restaurant, but it is advisable to reserve seats.😊

Willi has really delicious food. I've been there every day for a week on holiday over the last few years and everything was always very good. Special recommendation: his burgers or spare ribs and as an apricot dumpling, a poem. Be sure to book a table in advance, because word gets around about quality.

The Stoaner Alm is a must-visit on any trip to Reit im Winkl. The quality of the food and the service have been consistently excellent since our first visit in 2017. Guests can expect a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant and a fantastic view of the Kaiser Mountains from the terrace, very friendly and attentive service, and, above all, delicious, freshly prepared dishes. We're already looking forward to our next visit with Willi and his team.

Wenn wir in der Gegend sind, dann kommen wir gerne hierher. Hatten im Internet die Speisekarte studiert. Mein Frau hatte sich auf die Lachsforelle mit Kräutern und Knoblauch sowie Kartoffeln und den Salat gefreut. In der Speisekarte stand aber Lachsforelle auf Graupenrisotto und Brokkoli. Es war aber kein Thema, man konnte es wie im Netz beschrieben, ändern. Die Lachsforelle war halbwegs in Ordnung. Anstatt Kartoffeln gab es Pellkartoffeln die lieblos auf dem Teller lagen. Als meine Frau den Beilagensalat essen wollte, biß Sie auf einen Glassplitter. Die Bedienung ging in die Küche und kam mit der Aussage zurück, ja, wir wissen woran es lag und bat uns einen neuen Salat an. Diesen lehnte meine Frau ab und sagte, das kann ja mal passieren. Dafür gab es einen Espresso. Unvorstellbar, wenn man den nicht ganz kleinen Splitter geschluckt hätte. Am Ende mußten wir den vollen Preis bezahlen. Dies war unser letzter Besuch.

We (as Reit im Winkl novices) went to “Willi” for the first time on a recommendation (thanks to Claudia P.). Rustic Alpine restaurant with what feels like around 50 seats. Personally, I would think the Alm is one of the 5 best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Therefore, the price/performance ratio was very good, the service was quick and attentive, and the food came quickly, but without the feeling that it was prepared off the shelf. Absolutely recommended.

The Alm can also be easily reached by car.

We ate here twice during our vacation. That says it all! Once for lunch on the beautiful terrace with a fantastic panoramic view and excellent apricot dumplings and once in the evening in the living room. Small, cozy and here too, great menu and very tasty food! However, you should reserve a table in advance, especially for evenings. We will definitely come back on our next vacation!

My favorite in riding. The Stoaner Alm has excellent food, is beautifully decorated and has a terrace with a breathtaking view. The staff is always friendly to young and old! We have now come here several times, eaten the menu up and down and can fully recommend this restaurant! Our top address in the Reit and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Very tasty food. We had cheese spaetzle and cordon bleu. Great fries as a side dish and the small salads very fresh. Few tables inside, it's better to reserve. The outside area is also very nice. We'll definitely come back. Top quality at good prices and very friendly service. Great!

Wonderful view if you don't have the mountains behind you... The food was good, but also quite expensive. We had made a reservation for 8 people and were seated quite closely at a table against the wall of the hut. Next to one of the eight places there was a small cupboard with blankets that were used again and again. Only the guest was sitting in the way of the waitress when she wanted to go to the cupboard. That was quite annoying. All in all, the hospitality was nice, it was a nice evening and we would come back, although not again with so many people at that table.

Das Restaurant liegt toll am Berghang oberhalb von Reit im Winkl. Bei gutem Wetter sitzt man auf der Terrasse, bei kalten Temperaturen im gemütlich eingerichteten Gastraum. Die Speisekarte ist nicht so groß, bietet aber typische, lokale Küche. Wir haben uns für das Schnitzel und die Rindsroulade entschieden. Leider war das Schnitzel nicht so gut wie erwartet. Das eine der beiden Schnitzel schmeckte nach altem Fett und die Panade war fettig und nicht knusprig. Die Pommes waren okay, der Salat war lecker aber die Salatblätter waren sehr groß und schwierig zu bewältigen. Die Rindsroulade war ohne Senf und innen nicht spürbar gesalzen, das Kartoffelpüree schmeckte nach lieblos angerührtem Tütenprodukt und die Röstizwiebeln waren nicht knusprig. Soße war in Ordnung, das Rotkraut war prima. Wir waren insgesamt enttäuscht, da wir in der Bewertungen mehr erwartet haben. So war es für uns leider nur eine Touristenküche, die satt aber wenig Spaß macht. Nichts für unseren Geschmack...

I had a meal here today on the way back from the Wetterkreuz and can definitely recommend what I ate! Salmon trout with crispy skin, pearl barley risotto and wild broccoli 😋 The view today was also beautiful in the sunny weather towards the Kaiser Mountains! The service was also very good and, above all, extremely friendly!

Very pleasant atmosphere, great food and super friendly service... what could be more?

We went to Stoaner Alm for dinner twice last week. Both times were very spontaneous, but we were lucky to get 5th place. However, a call in advance is recommended. It's best to do it a few days in advance. We got the recommendation from friends in North Rhine-Westphalia. Not too much was promised! A highlight are the homemade fries! A “large” selection of meat-free dishes for this region! The juiciest of all “chicken nuggets” our children have ever eaten! Homemade of course! Really great atmosphere! You feel like you're at home with friends on the mountain pasture! Only about 10 tables inside make the stay very comfortable and homely. We will definitely eat there again at least once on all of our next vacations!!!

A wonderful view, a very tasty meal (our guade hoibe farmer's duck from the Lugeder-Hof in Lower Bavaria in its own juice with potato dumplings and grandma's red cabbage) and a service that is attentive and friendly. You're happy to give it 5 stars!
