Stern Kebab in Magdeburg

The doner kebab was okay, but unfortunately there were extremely annoying children in the shop who kept burping and loudly insulting each other. €8.50 is a bit too much for this product, however, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The bread was excellent, the meat good, and the vegetables okay.

The food used to be good 👍 but it's gone downhill drastically. The atmosphere is very unhygienic; just look up at the ceiling and see the clouds. Simply disgusting 🤮

By far the best kebab in Magdeburg

We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and ordered four doner kebabs, and they were really good. They also had Coke/Fanta/Sprite. Everything was quick, friendly, and good.

€9.50 for a mediocre doner/dürüm…

I stopped by this evening and the waiters put some sharif chips on my kebab. It was delicious. I highly recommend them. Best regards

A very pleasant place, a lovely shop with delicious food. They use high-quality meat and delicious bread. The salad selection is extensive and, above all, fresh. I also really like the sauces. There are many side dishes to choose from, and vegetarians are not left wanting either. The selection of desserts and drinks is also extensive and, above all, good! The only negative is the parking situation; due to the location, it's difficult to find a nearby parking space. Conclusion: Overall, a very nice shop with a beautiful location, and the food is excellent! Be sure to allow time for parking.

Unfortunately, the Stern Döner has declined considerably. I used to enjoy going there quite a bit. I particularly liked the pomegranate seeds in the kebab. They've now omitted them, and the vegetarian kebab used to contain meat. Eating meat can cause health problems for me; if this happens, I'll have to get legal advice. It's a shame; I absolutely can't recommend this place anymore. Plus, it's just ridiculously expensive!

I first ate there about a year ago and really liked it. Visiting Magdeburg again today and really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it didn't make a good impression at all. I wanted to order a layered meat doner kebab without tomatoes and a vegan doner kebab. When I asked, I was told the vegetable doner kebab was vegan (unfortunately, that's not true). I got a doner kebab with tomatoes and a salad doner kebab. :( So, both are new again. Now comes the kicker. I asked if the falafel was vegan. They confirmed it, and I ordered it. Then, during preparation, they added cheese. I asked if the cheese was vegan. They said "No." Then why do you put it in??? :( Then they told me something about vegan sauce. Well, I ordered a vegan kebab and no sauce. It would have to be remade. My kebab was cold by then. Guys, if you're going to offer vegan food, do it right. That wasn't good. I won't be back. P.S.: The cleanliness also leaves something to be desired. It could use a few more wipes.

In short, this is the best kebab I've had in Magdeburg and the surrounding area so far. I moved from North Rhine-Westphalia to Saxony-Anhalt, and this is the first kebab that could keep up with the standards I was used to in the West. The bread seems to be homemade, and the meat is 100% veal. You can also choose between the usual minced meat or chicken. The prices are reasonable. If you're looking for a €5 kebab, this is the wrong place. Here you get quality that comes at a price. I think I've found my kebab man 😁👍🏼

As far as I know, this is the only kebab shop in Magdeburg that offers vegan seitan kebabs (and vegan sauce too)! Thank you!! The prices are a bit higher than in other shops, but the portions are quite large, nicely presented, and definitely delicious. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, the shop is usually quite clean, and the staff is very friendly.

Guys, your kebab tastes really good, so I've tried it a third time. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous speakers! You're ripping people off. You give them a regular kebab for the price of a layered meat kebab. It might happen once! But doing it three times in a row is just customer fraud. Stop your delivery service or remove the kebab from the menu if you want customers in the shop. Tip for all readers: if the order includes a drink you didn't order, you've only been cheated out of about €3! Maybe refuse the delivery! I think it's only fair for everyone then ;) End of potato!

The best quality kebab in town. Superbly attentive staff who will make your kebab exactly the way you want it. Every employee here goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great time. Highly recommended! The outdoor seating area is also super spacious, and the shop's location is fantastic.

Totally disappointed! I ordered a star kebab with cheese and paid for it, and also stated that I wanted a little less spicy sauce. But when I got home, I realized they had made me a regular one, and it was full of spicy sauce. I've always been enthusiastic about it, but today was a huge disappointment...

There's always been something wrong with every order so far. The food tastes like nothing, especially the sauce and salad! The staff seem bored and dissatisfied, and they're not friendly or polite either. You can get much better for this price!!!

We ate here because it's supposedly the best kebab, but it wasn't anything special. Our special requests were ignored, even though they were written down. Barely any sauce, very little meat, and it was also dry, and overall, a small, dry kebab. Totally unjustified for the price. I don't know, it wasn't that special.

What a sad shit. Ordered small fries - no sauce, fries completely soggy (which might be because they were waiting for the jalapenos). Ordered spicy cheese wedges - Kaufland jalapenos fried to death with cream cheese. There's no layered meat, just two standard doner kebab skewers. They tried to outdo Bingöl and ended up just as bad.

A regular kebab is okay, but the layered meat kebab is truly something different and definitely worth trying. You'll never want to eat anything else. Really good! Unfortunately, prices have skyrocketed in recent months, and you have to dig pretty deep into your pockets now.

I'd give it zero points if I could. I've upset my stomach so much I've been sitting on the toilet for hours.

Vegetarian = Rip-off I ordered a vegetarian kebab today (no meat, no cheese, just bread, salad, and sauce) and thought I was hearing things when my colleagues asked me €6.50 for it. I weighed it again at home because it felt really light, and in fact, it only weighed 430g. 430g of cold bread with salad and sauce for €6.50. Never again. For a euro more, I could have gotten over 550g with a whole lot of meat, which is (or should be) much more expensive to buy than salad. As a customer, you just feel like you're being ripped off.

I ordered a doner kebab box with fries and salad, but it came without any. I called them, and they contradicted me, saying it did contain fries. I didn't like that. That was very rude of them.

Vegan kebab / Saitan kebab is very tasty, but for €7.50 you only get 3 slices of seitan and somehow the hot sauce wasn't included. The vegan sauce is good but it's missing that certain something. For that much money I would wish for more. Especially more meat substitutes. Still grateful for the vegan alternative👌

I ordered a normal kebab without cucumbers and tomatoes. What did I get? Meat, tomatoes and cucumbers. No onions, no red cabbage, not even lettuce. It almost seems like it was done on purpose

I bought a small kebab box, but I had to pay a big box price. The clerk clearly asked me if I wanted to order a small size and I said yes. The size is obviously small. It's a scam. I want a refund for the difference... I liked it on my third visit, but it's a shame I'll never come back.

The prices are not justified considering what you get in terms of quality and taste. If you order a kebab box with rice, your disappointment will probably be greatest. The amount of meat you get is okay. Nothing special in terms of taste. What do you get as a sauce? Not like you know yogurt or garlic sauce, but you just get a few splashes of Asian sauce over the rice. As far as the rice is concerned, I have no understanding why you get cheap long-grain rice instead of Turkish rice (short-grain rice + Sehriye) in a kebab shop. As harsh as my rating is, the kebab box is not recommended here.

The food, staff and ambience are good, but the kebab plate costs twice as much as a kebab and for us had almost less meat in it. I can't recommend it.

We have always enjoyed visiting you, have ordered several times and above all for one reason: LAYER kebab. For us the best kebab in Magdeburg, to this day. Unfortunately we were absolutely disappointed. Not only were special requests (no red cabbage, etc.) not taken into account. We ordered (and paid for!) two layered kebabs but got normal ones. Sorry, but that's not just a shame in terms of quality, it's simply a rip-off because we paid more.

So I have to say the kebab is really great, but I overestimated myself with the hot sauce, phew, it definitely hits, but otherwise the kebab is really awesome 🫶🫶

I'm in Magdeburg for work and come from the kebab capital Berlin. A very, very good kebab. Can easily keep up with the Berlin kebab and sometimes better than many of ours.

We had a vegan dürüm but weren't really convinced. We think it's great that Seitan kebab is finally being offered in Magdeburg, but our Dürüm was really small and sparsely stocked. Unfortunately there was no hello or goodbye either. :/ But the shop is modern and clean, so we will definitely come by again.

The unique selling point is the kebab skewer made from real pieces of meat. As far as I know, this is the only kebab shop in Magdeburg that offers something like this and you should definitely try it! What I haven't seen in anyone else is the pomegranate seeds, which add a certain freshness. Unfortunately, this kebab is so expensive that you can't always treat yourself to it. The map is very extensive. from the classic kebab dishes to pizza, falafel, salads and so on. Delivery is now available, but I recommend eating on site. The decoration of the shop is very attractive and you can sit very relaxed upstairs. The service is, as usual, friendly and accommodating. There is also an outdoor area on Sternstrasse.

The range of drinks on offer is just as great, which I was very surprised by. Toilets are clean and spacious.

Finally vegan kebab in Magdeburg! A few days ago I found out that there is now a vegan alternative at Stern Kebab and I immediately tested a vegan kebab (to go) and a vegan kebab plate ( Lieferando ). One thing in advance: the vegan kebab is incredibly tasty and gets 5 out of 5 stars! When the vegan kebab plate was delivered, both the look (a bit bland) and the fries (quite soft) weren't great, but the taste was still great! Therefore, absolute recommendation!
