Stephan's Restaurant in Eppelheim

Wir waren für ein Firmen Sommerfest vor Ort. Es ist eine schöne Location die vor allem durch den schönen Garten und die ruhige Feldlage punktet.

Ein toller Ort zum entspannen und genießen! Sehr leckere Speisen und Getränke.

Wir hatten einen Tisch im Freien für 2 Personen bestellt. Mit HInweis darauf, dass "viel los" sei, komplimentierte uns ein junger Mitarbeiter nach drinnen. Nachdem auch nach 20 Minuten kein für uns freier Tisch auf der Terrasse verfügbar war, sind wir gegangen. Aus unserer Sicht war der Grund, uns in den dunklen Innenraum zu plazieren, nicht "viel los", sondern Chaos oder Überforderung bei den Reservierungen. Wir haben in der Nachbargemeinde in einen schönen Restaurant unter Bäumen gegessen mit hilfsbereitem und sehr freundlichen Personal.

Tolle Terasse mit Blick über die Felder und wunderschönem Sonnenuntergang. Schön gestalteter Garten mit Bäumen, Oleander und Palmen. Sehr gutes Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir haben uns für unsere Hochzeit als Lokation für das Stephan's Restaurant entschieden. Wir kannten die Lokation von einer anderen Hochzeit bereits und als Gäste hat es uns damals schon super gefallen. Die Planung, Absprachen und Organisation waren unkompliziert, schnell und es gab keinerlei Probleme. Das Essen war mit seiner großen Auswahl in Buffetform lecker und kam auch bei den Gästen gut an. Das Servicepersonal hat einen super Job gemacht. Unsere Gäste lobten die wunderschöne Lage und Lokation und wir fanden es einfach nur mega unseren großen Tag dort feiern zu können. Vielen Dank für alles und ein riesen Dankeschön, dass ihr dazu beigetragen habt unseren großen Tag unvergesslich zu machen.

Also ich war jetzt mehrmals da. Das Essen ist einfach nicht mein Ding. Von den Aromen passt es irgendwie nicht. Vom Dip muss ich erstmal die Haut entfernen weil dieser wohl schon lange stand. Sehr freundliche und entgegenkommende Bedienung. Speisen wie immer ganz lecker, Portionen gut dimensioniert.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist wirklich schön und macht auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Leider wird dieses positive Bild durch den Service und die Atmosphäre deutlich beeinträchtigt. Das Personal war insgesamt sehr unangenehm. Die Bedienung wirkte aufdringlich und gleichzeitig unmotiviert – eher wie in einer billigen Kneipe. Besonders störend war, dass im Abstand von 5–10 Minuten gefragt wurde, ob alles in Ordnung sei – obwohl wir unser Hauptgericht erst nach etwa 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit erhalten haben. Zusätzlich wurde eine bestellte Portion Pommes für das Kind komplett vergessen. Eine weitere sehr unangenehme Situation entstand bei der Bestellung der Vorspeisen: Wir wollten zwei mal zwei verschiedene Vorspeisen bestellen, obwohl wir zu sechst (Erwachsene) am Tisch saßen. Dies wurde vom Servicepersonal direkt abgelehnt, kommentiert und mit verwunderten Blicken begleitet – mit der Bemerkung, wir „müssten“ eigentlich zwei Vorspeisen pro Person bestellen. Dieses Verhalten war unangebracht und fühlte sich bevormundend an. Insgesamt wurde die Kommunikation mit den Kellnern nach der ersten Bestellung zunehmend angespannt und unangenehm. Danach wurde aber doch nach der "Rücksprache mit Küche" vier Vorspeisen auf zwei Tellern serviert. Auch grundlegende Aspekte des Service fehlten: Niemand hat nach möglichen Allergien oder Unverträglichkeiten gefragt. Das Essen selbst hatte durchaus positive Seiten. Es gibt viele interessante Gerichte, die kreativ angerichtet und optisch ansprechend dekoriert sind. Leider waren einige Speisen deutlich zu stark gesalzen, was den Geschmack beeinträchtigt hat. Zusätzlich wurde eines der Getränke mit einem beschädigten Glasstrohhalm serviert, was nicht akzeptabel ist. Auch die Sitzsituation war nicht optimal: Der große Tisch für acht Personen ist unpraktisch gestaltet. Die Bänke sind sehr schwer zu bewegen, und selbst das Servicepersonal konnte die Gäste in der Mitte des Tisches kaum erreichen. Dadurch waren wir gezwungen, bei der Verteilung von Tellern und Besteck selbst mitzuhelfen – was in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie nicht sein sollte. Als kleine Entschuldigung wurde uns ein Dessert „aufs Haus“ angeboten, doch zu diesem Zeitpunkt konnte dies den insgesamt negativen Eindruck nicht mehr verbessern. Zum Abschluss fiel besonders negativ auch die Reaktion auf Feedback auf: Als wir erwähnten, dass das Essen „in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders lecker“ sei, wurde dies mit einem spöttischen Lächeln quittiert. Auch bei einem Trinkgeld von 10 € reagierte der Kellner sichtbar unzufrieden – ein Verhalten, das absolut unprofessionell ist. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass erwartet wurde, die kostenlosen Desserts entsprechend „zusätzlich“ zu belohnen. Fazit: Die gute Lage und die ansprechende Präsentation der Gerichte können die sehr schwache Servicequalität, die langen Wartezeiten und die unangenehme Atmosphäre nicht ausgleichen. Insgesamt eine leider nicht empfehlenswerte Erfahrung. Da wir an diesem Tag eigentlich einen besonderen Anlass gefeiert haben, hat der Restaurantbesuch den Gesamteindruck der Location und damit den Abschluss des Tages negativ geprägt.

Schönes Ambiente mit grosser Terrasse und Blick über die Felder. Leichte Golfhotel Atmosphäre. Wechselnde Saison und Wochenkarte. Personal auf glutenfreies Essen eingestellt. Alle Gerichte können glutenfrei arrangiert werden. Alles Top!

Wir waren mit der Familie bei Stephan's und hatten Spargelgerichte, Fleisch und Fisch. Glücklicherweise konnten wir bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse sitzen und die Rheinebene überblicken. Das Restaurant ist nicht ganz einfach zu finden (Birkighöfe sind in meinem Navi noch nicht drin und ich sah auch keine Ausschilderung), aber einmal da nimmt einen das Ambiente gleich gefangen. Die Gerichte waren alle aus hochwertigen Zutaten (mit einer kleinen Ausnahme) und haben toll geschmeckt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist noch angemessen - insgesamt für 4 mit 2 Vorspeisen, einer Nachspeise, 2 Digestifs 2 Wein, Wasser, 2 Apero und Trinkgeld 240 €. Jetzt zur Kritik: der Spargel war toll aber recht dünne Stangen, also nicht erste oder zweite Klasse. Die Sauce Hollandaise schien mir nicht selbst angesetzt (etwas zu süß), aber ich kann mich täuschen. Es war auch recht wenig Sauce auf dem Teller. Nach der Hälfte der Spargelstangen bat ich um etwas mehr Sauce. Diese kam erst nach mehreren Minuten und schmeckte anders als die Erste. Der Höhepunkt war dann die Rechnung, wo das etwa eigroße Gefäß mit Sauce mit 3 € berechnet wurde... Einer unserer Gruppe hatte ein ausgezeichnetes Steak, aber kein Steakmesser. Wir haben die Bedienung darum gebeten und als Antwort erhalten, dass man hier ja kein Steakhouse sei, das gäbe es nicht! Da war ich schon etwas fassungslos. Im Allgemeinen war die Bedienung aber recht aufmerksam, deswegen irritiert es mich etwas, so eine Begründung zu erhalten und Gefahr zu laufen, dass man mit einem doch recht unscharfen Messer solange am Fleisch herumsäbelt, bis es schließlich kalt ist.

Besonders der Restaurantleiter im Service ist sehr unterhaltsam! Abgesehen davon ist der Service Top, die Küche ist zügig und hat eine sehr gute Qualität! Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen!

Wunderschön gelegen mitten in der Natur – umgeben von Ruhe, grünen Wiesen und einer traumhaften Landschaft. Genau der richtige Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Kann ich wirklich nur weiterempfehlen 👍

Sehr leckeres Essen und tolles Ambiente!

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend im Stephan’s Restaurant und kommen definitiv wieder. Das Ambiente ist stilvoll und gemütlich zugleich, perfekt für einen besonderen Abend oder auch ein entspanntes Essen mit meiner liebsten. Der Service war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Toller Service. Das Essen war qualitativ auf sehr hohem Niveau. Die Gerichte waren frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt und optisch sehr ansprechend angerichtet.Das selbstgemachte Knäckebrot ist mega gewesen, man bedenke ein Knäckebrot wird hier erwähnt, es ist wirklich besonders gewesen. Positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass hier mit hochwertigen Zutaten gearbeitet wird und man das auch wirklich schmeckt. Auch die Weinauswahl ist sehr gut und rundet das Ganze perfekt ab. Preislich liegt das Restaurant genau da wo es sein soll, bei dieser Qualität von Essen, Service und Ambiente rechtfertigt das absolut. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Fazit: Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Wert auf gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente und einen besonderen Abend legen.

Wie so oft, immer ein Super Besuch.

Zum wiederholten Mal da, zum ersten Mal im Innenraum. Ambiente sehr schön, allerdings insgesamt sehr laut, da groß und nicht abgeteilt. Empfanden wir störend. Zum Essen: habe Steak als surf and turf bestellt, lt Karte mit 2 Riesengarnelen, so wie auch hier schon gegessen. Die Kruste sowie Kräuterbutter habe ich abbestellt, statt der Bohnen habe ich darum gebeten, diese auszutauschen gg einen kleinen Salat, das wurde abgenickt. Steak kam, statt der 2 Riesengarnelen mit 7 kleinen Garnelchen, kommentarlos. Es kam auch ein Salat, mit extrem wenig Dressing, dieser eure mit 7 Euro berechnet. Insgesamt war ich zum ersten Mal enttäuscht, vor allem hat Preis-Leistung nicht gestimmt. Bei Änderungen sollte der Gast vorab informiert werden. Schade!

Haben dort mein Geburtstagsessen verbracht und eine positive Erfahrung gemacht. Wir wurden den ganzen Abend über sehr lieb bedient und das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten das Steak und den Zander. Beides war sehr gut zubereitet und die Portionen haben auch gut satt gemacht. Wenn man keinen super großen Hunger hat, würde ich daher ggf. auf eine Vorspeise verzichten.

Sehr gutes Essen, guter Service

Sehr aufmerksames Personal und eine interessante Essensauswahl (von der klassischen Currywurst über den Fisch bis hin zu ungewöhnlichen vegetarischen Ideen). Und das Ambiente mit der Aussicht in den Sonnenuntergang ist auch toll.

Sehr gutes Essen. Raffinierte Karte mit leckere Auswahl. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und nette Atmosphäre. Die Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Zu empfehlen für einen sehr gemütlichen Abend.

Nach vier Jahren muss ich mal wieder dieses Restaurant loben. Wir haben zwar in der Zwischenzeit schon einige Abende dort verbracht, aber immer wieder vergessen dies auch hier kundzutun. Hier werden vom vom Küchenchef Dinge gezaubert, die einfach außergewöhnlich sind. Schön das wir in Eppelheim so ein Restaurant haben. Gerne erinnern wir uns an den Silvesterabend. Einfach alles gelungen.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal. Der Außenbereich ist wunderschön angelegt und gepflegt. Innen ist es zuweilen ein bisschen lauter. Die Preise sind gehobener, passen aber absolut. Das Iberico-Steak, ein Träumchen. Auch der Ziegenkäse ist klasse. Wenn es voll ist, kommt der Service nicht immer hinterher. Ansonsten ist alles top. Auch die Zimmer und das Frühstück sind empfehlenswert.

Ich durfte gestern hier den 60sten Geburtstag einer Freundin feiern. Das Fest war sehr gelungen, was auch an der tollen Location lag. Trotz Kälte gab es draußen ein Begrüßungsgetränk, das Essen wurde dann in den sehr angenehmen und schönen Räumlichkeiten serviert. Sehr freundliches Personal, großes Lob, ein Stern weniger für das Essen, da mir ein ganz klein wenig die Würze fehlte, (ist natürlich Geschmackssache) aber ansonsten war es perfekt!!!! Vielen Dank! Ich kann es nur empfehlen

Essen 1Stern Service 5 Ambiente 3 Geleiteten Lachs war zwar echt gut aber der Pumpernickelcranch grenzte an einer Körperverletzung ! Hart als wenn man auf Kieselsteine beißen würde , absolut nicht essbar !! Die Ente war gerade so ok aber Süsskatoffelpürre schmeckte wie Säuglingsbrei Wirsing nicht gewürzt . Kann man fürs essen nicht weiter empfehlen !!!

Heute am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag sind wir hier zum Mittagessen da gewesen. Was positiv war: Das Ambiente, das Servicepersonal Was negativ war: An der Vorspeise dem gebeitzten Lachs war das Pumpernickelbrot steinhart wie Beton. Am Hauptgang, der Ente, war die Haut gummiartig und in keinster Weise knusprig. Das Süßkartoffelpüree war wie ein Alete-Babybrei. Wirsing und Sosse waren essbar. Wir werden von einem zweiten Besuch absehen.

I made the drive there since GoogleMap showed the restaurant was opened until 22h30. I arrived at 21h06 and got told the kitchen closes at 21h and that the chef is already gone and they can’t serve me. Very disappointing.

We celebrated our wedding with a non-denominational ceremony at Stephan's Restaurant. The service, the location, the food—I can't think of anything negative. We felt very well looked after from start to finish, and the celebration was beautiful.

I get the impression that they're aiming for upscale dining, but the food and service overall are nowhere near that. The view is very nice, but it deserves full stars. The restaurant also has a bit of a sports bar feel; it could be more cozy. The service was okay. The restaurant offers small portions for a reasonable price. The food was dry and not seasoned. All in all, more than disappointing. Unfortunately, we can't recommend it and won't be back. Side note: My wife made a reservation and said it was my birthday. This was ignored.

My husband and I celebrated our non-denominational wedding at Stephan's last Saturday. From the initial conversation, through the ceremony, the champagne reception, the food, the party, and the service, everything was perfect. The kitchen and service staff (especially our bartender) were always very accommodating, accommodated all requests, and were very prompt. Thank you, we would love to come back.

We were here again today, and we've always been satisfied – unfortunately, not this time. The waitress refused to give us the tables on the lawn without giving a reason, but shortly afterward, another couple sat there. I also ordered my meat well-done, but it was served medium-rare at best and inedible. It's a shame, as our visits have always been positive.

Thank you so much for this truly perfect evening. We visited Stephan's for the first time on the recommendation of friends and will definitely be coming back again. The weather only allowed for a quick aperitif on the terrace. Due to the rain, we had to move inside at short notice. However, since the interior is also beautiful and we had a table right by the window, we had a wonderful time. A big compliment to the kitchen as well. Both the appetizer selection and the main courses were exactly to our taste. The evening was rounded off with delicious aperitifs, very attentive and friendly service, and a good bottle of wine. Keep up the good work. We'll be back soon.

Unfortunately, the green asparagus wasn't that good; we had to cut off a third of the asparagus, which meant we couldn't fully enjoy it. The food itself tasted good, but unfortunately it was lukewarm. So, once and never again.

Unfortunately disappointing – not what it used to be Two years ago, we were thrilled – back then, the value for money was still good. Unfortunately, that's changed: A fish dish for €31 where you had to hunt for the fish. The steak was ordered medium, but it was cooked all the way through. My Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) seemed carelessly presented – a shame, as I was really looking forward to it. Overall, the meal was no longer worth the price. We won't be coming back.

Super unflexible people. We reserved a place outside. Outside was ideal weather to enjoy. They don't allow. Reason is: it may rain and they need to bother themselves to bring staff inside again. I said I take my plate and drink. You don't need bother yourself. But no. We have to sit inside in case it may rain. And it didn't rain. We came to your restaurant to sit and enjoy outside. Not for the average food. Show little flexibility and understand your customer.

We've been coming to Stephan's Restaurant for many years and have always greatly appreciated it, but the last few times we've been truly disappointed. While the cuisine may be described as upscale, home-style, the prices and portions are increasingly painting a picture of what one might call a Michelin-starred restaurant. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere don't quite measure up. Food 4/5 (Small, select menu with quite unique dishes. Our food tasted really good; the meat was tender and juicy, the salad dressing a bit vinegary but absolutely enjoyable). Service 1/5 (young, untrained service staff, uninspired, reserved in terms of friendliness). Prices outrageous 0/5 (€7.10 for a carafe of tap water, €7 for a side salad, portions unusually small and counted, so that even a slim person would still come home hungry. e.g., 3 small pieces of lamb, 3 tablespoon-sized dollops of sweet potato mash, and 4 spears of green asparagus the diameter of a little finger as a side dish for €33). Ambience 3/5 (nice outdoor area with a view of the Eppelheim fields, modern and stylish interior but unfortunately loud and stuffy; we think the "at the gates of Heidelberg" on the homepage is a bit of an exaggeration. "At the gates of Eppelheim" would be more appropriate here ;).

I celebrated my 50th birthday here with my family. The ambiance, service, and food were exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

This is my third time here, and I'm disappointed. The service from the waiters was great, but we waited almost an hour for our meals. In addition, the presentation of one of the dishes was sketchy. If you want bread for the second time, it's €2. It's a shame that, despite the initial wait, there are a few small details missing to make it truly good. The menu also needs to be updated, as it seems to be running out of steam.

Risotto iş perfect. Also lamb was delicious. İ visited 5 times and always left happy. I wish it could be open earlier hours.

Very ambitious prices for what is on offer. The garden salad was actually raw; There was only a hint of salad dressing at the bottom of the plate. Unfortunately, the Iberico cutlet was also a bit dry, but okay. The service was less good; 30 minutes from arrival until the first drinks are on the table is simply too long. And the fact that a Sambuca is typically flambéed was simply dismissed with a “we don’t do that here”. It's a shame, because the location is very nice, especially in the evening, and you can at least sit comfortably.

On my last visit it was very crowded. Nevertheless, privacy is guaranteed here. The food was very good, service was very friendly, prices were reasonable. Especially in summer you should sit on the terrace. When it's full it gets a bit noisy inside, but it doesn't bother you. I would be happy to come back.

We went there for dinner at Stephan's Restaurant today and had a disappointing experience. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation. Since we hadn't done this we had to eat outside in the light drizzle. While we were sitting outside, we observed other guests who also didn't have reservations being let in. It became increasingly uncomfortable as it was getting dark and guests were walking past us, which made us feel like we were dogs (since we were the only ones). This situation was very incomprehensible to us and resulted in this being our first and last visit to this restaurant. It's a shame, because the food was really tasty and the service was friendly, apart from the lady who didn't let us in

Wir haben sehr gut gespeist. Es gibt eine Speisekarte mit zum Teil bodenständigen, zum Teil außergewöhnlichen Gerichten. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Zum Lachs mit Linsen hätte ich mir noch eine Beilage wie zum Beispiel Kartoffelbrei gewünscht. Auch der Nachtisch war außergewöhnlich gut, hat allerdings lange auf sich warten lassen. Ich würde das Restaurant unbedingt wieder empfehlen, werde auch gerne wieder mit meiner Familie dort essen. Die Preise sind angemessen für die gute Qualität, die geboten wird.

The acoustics are not ideal - when it is busy, it is quite loud. The service was nice and friendly. However, my ox cheeks are far from a braised dish - firm, almost steak-like meat. Not the way I know the dish and expected it - namely crumbly and "schlonzig". And the price at over €30 is sporty. The soup before was okay.

The kitchen is really good as usual. In terms of price, Stephans is already in the demanding range, which is why it is surprising that you are charged an extra 3 euros on the bill for a second helping of sauce for the goose leg, the amount practically fits in a shot glass. If you reconsider, ditto for a few extra slices of bread to start with.

Went there for a wedding, the food was delicious, the location was beautiful and the service was excellent. Just as a representative example, I accidentally dropped my knife and within seconds, before I could even look for a waiter, a new knife was brought to me.

ich war schon öfters mit der Familie dort essen, und wurde nie enttäuscht. Ausgezeichnetes Preis – Leistungsverhältnis. Gute Weinkarte. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wenn ich überhaupt was kritisieren möchte: vielleicht etwas mehr Schallschutz.... Diesmal hatten wir beschlossen, zu unserem 40-jährigen Abiturtreffen ins Stefan's zu gehen… Und das Feedback von allen war eindeutig: das beste Abi-Treffen ever. Dann bis zum 50. ten...

Great food, great and very friendly service. Can absolutely recommend. We were there for lunch. Everything was just right. I could also imagine it being a nice location for celebrations.

We had dinner there on our wedding anniversary (Sunday) and it was, as always, incredibly delicious. The salad in particular was so good, the best salad I've eaten in a long time! The main course (rump steak with herb potatoes and creamed savoy cabbage) was also really delicious. Very friendly staff. And the atmosphere/decor is all very appropriate and cozy. Therefore always happy!!!

Seid Jahren kommen wir schon ins Stephan's und es gab noch nie etwas zu bemängeln. Weder bei der Lokation, noch beim Personal und schon garnicht bei der Qualität des Essens und der Weine. Bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Einfach perfekt für uns.
