Quite okay, breakfast buffet was good, sometimes there could have been a little more selection. But ultimately there is something for everyone.

Cocktail evening in the signal box in Meckenheim with a bitter ending! Cocktails delicious, service at the bar too, there's nothing to complain about, on the contrary, we had a great evening... IF it wasn't... The fun stopped when you paid. We had 2 cocktails on the bill that we hadn't ordered (and didn't receive). We had to pay them. The boss became very, very unfriendly and almost choleric. We explained the situation in a friendly manner. She kept interrupting us and laughing at us! We paid the money including tips for the boys but will never visit this shop again and will not recommend it to others. Total rip off!

We had breakfast in the signal box and by 10 a.m. the buffet was basically emptied. The food was very simple and manageable. Baked rolls and hardly any choice. Although the price is unbeatable for the buffet and the service staff were friendly, we were very disappointed.

We were there for brunch on Sunday. First the positive: there are enough parking spaces, friendly staff, cozy location. What struck me as very negative: The food wasn't worth the money. No salmon, no unusual cold cuts, scrambled eggs overcooked, eggs dry and hard, packaged jam, packaged cheese, etc. And last but not least, we had a voucher for 3x brunch. WITHOUT STATEMENT OF VALUE. At the end we wanted to give the girls a tip, but we were made aware that we would have to pay an additional €6. The reason was a price increase and an increase in VAT. Since the voucher was only a few months old, we were surprised. We spoke to the boss about it and she said that although it was a voucher without a price, it was our problem and not hers! It's a shame, because of this reaction we won't be able to go to the signal box anymore, not even for a cocktail in the evening!

Super friendly staff, but unfortunately the food is completely overpriced. Lots of frozen goods and otherwise bland and nothing special.

Beautiful historic train station with an attractively decorated restaurant. The food was delicious. We had pulled pork from the smoker, fries and salad. Prices moderate. Can also be reached by train.

Nettes Restaurant. Man kann hier gut frühstücken. Die angebotenen Speisen sind frisch und werden ständig nachgefüllt. Leider waren Rührei und Speck nur lauwarm. Lobenswert zu erwähnen ist, dass Kaffee im Frühstückspreis von 14,50 € inklusive ist. Die Toiletten sind leider nicht so positiv. Abgeranzte Möbel bei den Herren und bei der Sauberkeit Defizite.

Went here today at 4:30 p.m. with 5 people. Based on “My local, your local” and the reviews, which are generally ok. Unfortunately very disappointed. Less than 10 minutes after ordering, everything was at the table. Everything was ready lukewarm, I've never had fries that were ready straight away, and the chicken nuggets were also lukewarm. It's a shame that everything, spare ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork, has been prepared for a long time, all the meat was very dry, only the basic taste was really delicious 😋 😋. There isn't much going on at this time, but that doesn't justify the fact that the employees, including the boss, are busy with their cell phones and sometimes ignore the guests while smoking outside on the terrace. Maybe all the employees here should watch and learn at Ash in Troisdorf

Were there with friends and children. Eating and drinking very tasty. Service very friendly and competent. Price/performance very good. Highly recommended in our opinion.

The service was hard-working and attentive, you really can't complain about anything here. The ambience was quite open and a bit empty as there were few people there on a Saturday evening. It's okay and definitely suitable for larger groups. The reason for the emptiness in the restaurant is probably the kitchen. We had the spare ribs and the beef brisket. Both advertised as being from the smoker. The short version: you probably forgot about it. Just like doing the rest, I quickly threw together some of the things I had bought. The beef brisket, which is actually characterized by juicy, falling apart meat, was drier than the fried fries. Meat juice or any juicy, delicate flavors were nowhere to be found. It was probably once on the smoker and then slowly thawed again when we ordered and was then completely dry. My ribs looked similar and the Cawl Slow was simply tipped out of the Metro box into a bowl. The only positive thing I can highlight here are the beans with the beef brisket, which were acceptable. And the drinks. They were really good!

Immer wieder lecker, freundliche Bedienung und ein nettes Ambiente, das lediglich von der gelegentlichen Dieselbahn und dem Straßenverkehr vermiest wird...aber schließlich ist es ja ein Stellwerk am Bahnhof...😉

Unsere Familie trifft sich regelmäßig zum Mittagessen im „Stellwerk“ - daran ist ja schon zu erkennen, dass wir alle rundum zufrieden sind. Gestern war es sogar der Auftakt zu einer Geburtstagsfeier.

Was little attended. It couldn't have been the food, service or ambience. Everything was absolutely fine...

Bedienung sehr freundlich, mein bestellter Cesar Salad mit Rind und Hähnchen war bisher jedes mal sehr lecker. Auch der erwartete Lärm von den Zügen und Schienen ist ausgeblieben, ein schönes Ambiente wie ich finde. Auch das BBQ Buffet Mittwochs abends jedes mal sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter hinter dem Grill jedes mal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Alles in allem gehe ich sehr gerne und regelmäßig dort essen. Meine Kinder werden auch sehr lieb und herzlich behandelt

Uncomplicated online table reservation, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Our food came quickly and what can I say: it was delicious! Big compliments to the kitchen. We'll definitely come back.

Essen war geil . Service Personal war Nett und freundlich . Wir hatten Sparribs und pulled pork gehabt. Die waren sehr lecker.

Wir waren am Abend zum BBQ Special im Stellwerk gewesen und wurden hervorragend Bewirtet. Das Team hinterm Grill war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns herzlich in empfang genommen und beraten. Die Auswahl der Speisen war umfangreich ,Frisch und hat uns umgehauen. Das Highlight unserer Meinung nach war der Smoker der in betrieb war, wo man sehen und Riechen konnte das hier frisch geräuchert wurde. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend und wir werden auf jeden fall wieder kommen. Klare Empfehlung!

Ambience is very nice. The service was nice too. Had a salad plate and fettucine. The salad was already pretty limp, so it wasn't quite as fresh anymore. The pasta sauce wasn't quite to our taste either.

Went to Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, I walked to the buffet several times in vain because various dishes were out of stock and it took some time until they were refilled. The clearing of used dishes was also not handled satisfactorily and sometimes required a hint to the staff. Another visit to the signal box on August 16, 2024, this time for dinner. A completely different picture, this time everything was exemplary. Good food, top staff and service. Now my thumb is pointing up, keep it up.

Perfect all around. Had 45 minutes between consultation appointments. The quick lunch was ready in 38 minutes and for 13.50. Great staff and fantastic kibbelings.

Service was great, but the food didn't blow us away. We had burgers, the meat wasn't of good quality and some of the fries were already brown because they had apparently been in the deep fryer for too long.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Benutztes Geschirr wurde, nach einer Frage ob es abgeräumt werden kann, sofort mitgenommen. Fehlende Speisen wurden rechtzeitig nachgelegt.

Former train station building converted into a restaurant. A nice eye-catcher from the street. The inside is also very nice and chic. There is also an outdoor terrace almost all around. Behind the building you can watch the regional train coming and going. Train lovers will love this. The food and drinks are very good. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely come by again.

Located directly at the train station, good parking situation, so there is enough available. Nice service, cuisine so-so...we had salads, vegetarian burgers, schnitzel and poultry. The fries were oversalted, the salad had a lot of brown spots, so it wasn't quite as fresh anymore. The men's room speaks volumes...dead insects on the windowsill, a partition between the urinals that moves out of the wall...actually a nice shop that perhaps needs a little more attention here and there. No risk of repetition :-(

Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir hatten Freunde mitgebracht auch diese haben gesagt hier waren wir nicht das letzte Mal. Das Essen war heiß, sehr gut gewürzt und sah sehr appetitlich aus.

Das Essen kommt schnell und heiß auf den Tisch. Burger sind im Moment beim Stellwerk unser Favorit.

Reservierung hat super geklappt. Speisen u. Getränke waren gut. Service war sehr gut.

Wir waren um 10 Uhr dort und leider wurde das Buffet nicht aufgefüllt, sodass bereits kein Brot, Saft, Obst usw. und auch keine tiefen oder kleine Teller mehr da waren . Auf Nachfrage kam dann etwas Orangensaft- der Rest fehlte nach wie vor . Wir wurden kein einziges Mal vom Servicepersonal nach anderen Wünschen befragt- Schade.

Schon mehrmals im Stellwerk gegessen. Diesmal war das Essen nicht nur sehr gut, sondern hervoragend. Service warsehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Absolut Top

Es war wie immer ein sehr gelungener Vormittag mit leckerem, reichhaltigem fruehstueck. Kaffee, Tee und Saft und Wasser waren ausreichend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Vielleicht sollte der Koch oder die Köchin Nachhilfe beim Offenkartoffeln holen. Der Steak war wie Schuhsohle. Burger waren ok.

There were 16 people in the signal box and the food and cocktails were very good and we had little waiting time. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I can definitely recommend the burgers, schnitzels and cocktails.

We went to the signal box for the breakfast buffet. The buffet is sufficient and there is something for everyone. The price-performance ratio is top. We enjoyed it and would love to come back! Then we also have some sparkling wine ;) The atmosphere is also very nice and the service is very friendly.

Spare ribs were grilled absolutely dead (totally dry). Service offered new ones or a drink on the house.

Buffet food is absolutely not recommended. For 35 euros per person it was very disappointing. Customer service was also non-existent.

Ich kann diese Gastronomie nur empfehlen. Zur EM2024 wurde zu dem eine perfekte Übertragung des Fussballspiels im Wintergarten ermöglicht

Essen sehr gut, Service sehr gut, Geräuschpegel hoch, ist ja auch eine "Bahnhofshalle" und kein Romantik-Restaurant.

Leider hat uns das Buffet nicht so gefallen. Zum einen fehlte die Beschriftung der Speisen z.b.bei der Marmelade, dem Quark usw.und die Qualität hat uns auch nicht überzeugt. Es wirkte als wenn alles schon länger frischgehalten wurde ( Obstsalat braune Stellen, Ei trocken) und wir waren zur Eröffnung dort.

Was there for the second time today. I had beef brisket once and pulled pork with the appropriate side dishes. The bacon beans were too garlicky for me, but that might be a matter of taste. Otherwise everything tastes excellent.

es war wie immer toll, super Frühstück, für jeden was dabei. kommen immer gerne hierhin. super Personal, freundlich hilfsbereit, wenn etwas gefehlt hat wurde es sofort wieder aufgefüllt. einfach TOP. wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste mal.

Very good food with a nice atmosphere.

Sehr gute Location. Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Preis Leistung war sehr gut. Leider war der Geräuschpegel etwas hoch, da das Restaurant sehr gut besetzt war. Aber sehr zu empfehlen.

We as a tour group really enjoyed the restaurant mentioned above. We had the opportunity to sit outside. It is really nicely decorated and the chairs are also very comfortable. At a later hour there is also the option of taking advantage of a blanket, which makes the ambience even cozier. The food was also very tasty, you can still tell that attention is paid to the quality of the ingredients. The service staff are very friendly and approachable. The price-performance ratio is also very good. It is highly recommended to take a detour here.

I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant and it was an absolutely fabulous experience! The food was simply outstanding - every dish was perfectly prepared and the flavors were a real treat for the taste buds. The service was first class and very entertaining; The staff were not only incredibly attentive and friendly, but also created a wonderful atmosphere that made the evening unforgettable. The prices are more than fair and offer great value for money. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience – I can only warmly recommend this restaurant! 5 Stars!

Great cocktails, super nice staff!

We had the buffet where the cheese was sticky and a lot of it was out of stock. The buffet selection was ok but could use a little more love. Croissants were dry and tasted old. Rolls were acceptable. The pork medallions were so dry that they took forever to chew. Filter coffee was so watery, tasted like it had been brewed twice :( .... All in all for the price, (30 € per person) we won't come back to the poor quality... The only positive thing was that Cold drinks such as water, cola, apple spritzer were included in the price

Ambiente uns bekannt, Fenster Tisch hatten wir uns selber gewünscht, allerdings vier – Personen-Zisch für reservierte fünf Personen und auch nur für vier eingedeckt bekommen. Hamburger für das Geburtstagskind (bei Reservierung angegeben als Anlass und in keiner Weise berücksichtigt) ohne Bacon gewünscht, mit Bacon gekommen. (dem Service nicht aufgefallen, obwohl klar vom Sohn aussortiert auf dem Teller liegend). Gerichte okay (obwohl der Eifel – Burger damals bei Eröffnung des Stellwerk deutlich charismatischer war) No – go ist, bei der Currywurst die Western Potato in der Currysauce zu ertränken, keiner der Currywurst – Esser hatte auch nur den Hauch einer Ahnung, wie diese Fries eigentlich schmecken (nämlich sehr, sehr gut) Nächstes Jahr werden wir es trotzdem wahrscheinlich noch mal versuchen, vorher sicher nicht 

Wir hatten das Buffet dort war der Käse verklebt und vieles Vergriffen. Buffet war von der Auswahl ok aber könnte noch etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Croissants waren trocken und haben geschmeckt wie alt. Brötchen waren akzeptabel. Die Schweinemedallions waren so trocken, sodass man ewig kauen musste. Filterkaffe war so wässrig, hat geschmeckt wie 2 mal gebrüht :( .... Alles in allem für den Preis, (30 € p.P)zu der schlechten Qualität werden wir nicht mehr wieder kommen...... Einzig Positiv war, dass Kaltgetränke wie Wasser , Cola, Apfelschorle im Preis inbegriffen waren

The food was bad. We were still tried to be ripped off. There were things worth €20 on the bill that we didn't order! When requested, these were not immediately removed, but were discussed. How can a restaurateur allow this? One star is still too many.

Unfortunately, long waiting times, poor service and then an incorrect bill. The food itself is also just satisfyingly good.

Waren am Muttertag und zum 77. Geburtstag meines Mannes zum Brunch. Leider hat uns allen der Brunch, und wir waren schon sehr oft zum Frühstück dort, überhaupt nicht gefallen. Frühstück war gut aber die warmen Speisen dafür überhaupt nicht. Currywurst und Schweinenacken, Kartoffelecken - das kann ich jeden Tag am Wurststand essen aber zum Muttertag und Geburtstag. Der Nudelsalat und Krautsalat (standen schon beim Frühstück am Fenster in der Sonne), Schrimps und Eis konnten wir überhaupt nicht finden. Das Dessert war sofort leergeräumt. Wir verstehen voll und ganz die Kalkulation und was man immer anbieten kann aber Currywurst… Die beiden Frauen von der Bedienung waren sehr nett und bemüht, uns allen recht zu machen. Aber sie konnten es nicht schaffen, immer die Tische von leeren Tellern usw. zu befreien. Sehr schade - sind ziemlich geknickt nach Hause gefahren. Frühstück kann man gut empfehlen (der Kaffee schmeckt und ist sehr heiß). Brunchen würde ich dort leider nicht mehr.

Light and lots of shadow... Been there twice so far. Steak was good. Now to eat asparagus, unfortunately the worst asparagus I have ever eaten. Woody, subterranean hollandaise sauce and the potatoes covered in some weird tasting melted liquid. Unfortunately, that was a complete failure. Nice atmosphere, but you should only offer seasonal dishes if you have mastered them.

We liked it so much that we went there twice. Quality is very good. Operation remains great even when stressed. Food quick and tasty. Thanks for the stays. Me and my wife really liked it. Gladly again.

I personally really like the signal box. Due to its location at Meckenheim train station, it is easily accessible by train or car and there is plenty of free parking. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and is in a good mood. The food is pretty good and there is something for everyone. There are pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, salads, fries, night table and much more... I think the restaurant is very harmonious and beautiful. The restaurant puts a lot of effort into it and is definitely worth a visit

Wir waren schon des öfteren im Stellwerk in Meckenheim zum Frühstück. Es ist immer wieder sehr schön, das Buffet mit allem was man zum früstücken braucht ausgestattet. Für uns fehlte es an nichts. Der Service bzw. das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Immer wieder gerne

Die Brötchen sind nicht frisch , Qualität von essen sehr schlecht als wir ankamen war die Hälfte von Buffet (9.30) leer und es wurde leider nicht nachgefüllt. Die Teller waren mit Flecken und noch die Reste von Essen hingen an den sauberen Teller dran ( eckelhaft). Ich finde Preis Leistung Verhältnis passt gar nicht zusammen. Früher waren wir oft und gerne bei Stellwerk aber nach den letzten Besuch möchten wir nicht wieder kommen . Mit freundlichen Grüßen

3 Personen. Heutige Bedienung „bedingt“ freundlich, aber okay. 1.Gericht : Spargel zu hart, hinzu bestelltes Wiener Schnitzel nicht in der Pfanne gebraten, eher klein. Butter und Kartoffeln gelungen. 2.Gericht Rumpsteak voll i. O. 3. Gericht Burger wie immer gut. Heute hat das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht gepasst. Komme trotzdem wieder.

I was there yesterday afternoon with friends. The asparagus was half raw, the potatoes were probably pre-cooked and warmed up in the microwave...the hollandaise sauce was totally over salted. The service was nice, but gave off a delicate aroma of sweat.

We took part in the breakfast buffet there with several people. The place was packed. Actually a sign of good quality or at least a good price/performance ratio. Personal impression: Service friendly, quality corresponds to a *** hotel breakfast. Price ok at around €15. You can, but you don't have to.

Alleys soweit in Ordnung. Etwas Abwechslung wäre nicht schlecht. Die Entscheidung Montag bis Donnerstag kein Frühstück anzubieten ist schade. Sollte man vielleicht noch einmal überlegen.

After I was very disappointed with the schnitzel last summer, I was now surprised by the very tasty beef brisket and good service. Excellent! Worth a recommendation!

Reservierung funktionierte reibungslos, uns wurde ein Tisch im Außenbereich angeboten, dieser jedoch stark verschmutzt ebenso die Bodenfläche.

Wir haben mit 6 Personen gefrühstückt. Es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Von Pancakes bis Rührei. Tee und Filterkaffee gibt es soviel das Herz begehrt im Preis mit inbegriffen. Das finde ich wirklich toll. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Rundum ein toller Besuch im Stellwerk. Gerne wieder...

Wenn man sich auf ein leckeres Frühstück mit der Familie freut, und dann verkochtes Essen vorfindet, kann Mann nur enttäuscht sein. Jede Hausfrau weiß, dass man essen nicht zu lange heiß halten sollte, lieber weniger vorkochen, das schmeckt dann auch. Es wurde kein Stück Fleisch gereicht, schade. Und am Schluss mussten wir auch mehr bezahlen, absolut ungerechtfertigt, zumal wir nichts davon wussten. Schade, aber so nicht.

Essen und Ambiente waren, wie gewohnt, in Ordnung. Diesmal war jedoch die männliche, junge Bedienung wirklich eine Zumutung. Zu Beginn unseres Besuches wollte ich im leeren Lokal einen anderen Tisch haben und das schien ihm nicht zu gefallen. Ich wurde daraufhin sprachlich echt schlecht behandelt und ansonsten ignoriert. Mein Geschäftspartner nahm diesen Umgang gleichfalls deutlich wahr. Beide weibliche Servicekräfte arbeiteten wirklich vorbildlich. Wir werden uns trotzdem zukünftig mal auf die Mitbewerber im Meckenheim konzentrieren.

As a repeat guest, I was not at all satisfied with the service on my last visit. The young man showed rather unfriendly behavior; Taking the order was linguistically impertinent and throughout the entire time his behavior made it clear that he had found my first request to change tables (the dining room was almost empty) annoying. However, the behavior of the slightly older colleague and a young colleague who also billed us was exemplary. The food was fine as usual. I will also give the competitors a chance in the future.
