Definitely worth a visit! The food is truly excellent! The price-performance ratio is also perfectly reasonable at around €20, considering both the quality and quantity of the food! Especially since you can help yourself to the salad bar, which, by the way, offers a decent selection of salads and other items. The price for this is already included in the meal price! All in all, and especially because of the cozy and unique atmosphere, a visit to the "Blumenhof" is well worth it!

Unfortunately, this was our last visit to the Blumenhof, as we were thoroughly ripped off. A few days ago, we ate here with a group of 14 people. The starter was pre-ordered by the host, but without a cost estimate. It later turned out that the cost was €14 per person. Specifically, this meant that four people each received a plate consisting mainly of raw tomatoes without anything on them, some feta, a few pepperoni, a few shrimp, and a piece of toast with cheese and shrimp. This was accompanied by cheap, far too soft baguette and white toast. Truly nothing special, and nothing particularly tasty. Not even olive oil or butter. In retrospect, it turned out that such a plate cost €56. For that price, you could get an exquisite three-course meal with high-quality ingredients at other restaurants. When the bill arrived, the host had to get over the shock. A subsequent discussion with the owners did not yield any sympathy. Even though we had a lovely evening with the family, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. This was definitely my last time here. It's a shame, as many of my friends also enjoyed going here. Even though the food is nothing special and absolutely standard with some convenience items (a lot of white toast—you don't have to go to a restaurant for that—not well-seasoned, and the sauces also looked like ready-made products), the seating is really very comfortable. The ambiance deserves praise. The taste, however, leaves a lot to be desired; the chanterelles, which everyone was looking forward to, were too salty. What a shame. We would like to warn others that, in our case, the value for money was unfortunately not at all right, and the starter was a complete rip-off.

Everything was perfect, but it was unsuitable for wheelchair users. There are no accessible restrooms without stairs. The access ramp is far too steep and narrow, unfortunately.

Simply always excellent. The food is delicious, no matter what you order. And the perfect decorations for every season.

The Blumenhof Restaurant is a charming, charming restaurant serving Balkan dishes. Typical cevapcici, but also fish and steaks. The baked mushroom heads with shrimp as an appetizer are particularly delicious.

We had the Meckenheimer Pfanne (pan-fried dish), Bauernpfanne (farmer's pan-fried dish), fillet steak, Züricher Geschnetzeltes (sliced ​​meat), and Pleskavizka (a dish made from sauerkraut). I'm surprised by some of the not-so-good reviews. But maybe they have different chefs at work? When we were there, we were very satisfied. We were returning from a day trip and were looking for a restaurant along the route. That's how we came to the Blumenhof. From the outside, I initially had the feeling that this might not have been the right choice. We went in anyway and were assigned a table inside. The terrace was already occupied, and there weren't many seats left inside either. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We had a farmer's pan and a grill plate and were very satisfied with our meals. Oh yes: the feeling that we might have chosen the wrong restaurant disappeared as soon as we walked in. And when the food was also good, we were very happy with our choice.

We've eaten there a few times now, and it's always been good. Good selection on the menu. The fried onions on various dishes are delicious. It's always full, so it's best to make a reservation. The price-performance ratio is OK. Unfortunately, we have to lower our rating a bit. It's not like it used to be. The great fried onions are nowhere to be found. All the dishes we had were mediocre. Another reviewer wrote, "Something's missing," and that pretty much sums it up. What was missing, of course, was the price increase; now it's no longer appropriate. The changes were so significant that we asked if there had been a change in ownership or chef, but they denied it.

We stumbled upon it by chance. We were very satisfied with what we chose—even though we were just passing customers. Keep it up!

We've been eating here occasionally for about 40 years. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. The fries had been in the fryer too long and were very dry and hard; the pljeskavica was dry and cooked far too long. The bacon on the fried potatoes in the Meckenheimer Topf (pot) was skimped on, and the meat from the Splittender was overcooked and dry. It's a shame, because we've always been satisfied.

It was our first time there with a group. Friendly service, and you can help yourself to salads from the salad buffet with almost every meal, but only once; a second plate costs €4.90. The ordered dishes were served promptly together for our group. There were no problems with the bill either, even though we didn't pay it all together. They asked who ordered what, and then issued separate bills for each person. However, it's a good idea to make a reservation.

Good food and very friendly. It took some getting used to from Berlin. In Berlin, you get spicy onions and ketchup for free. At the end, you get a shot of schnapps on the house. Recommended.

The whole meat was as salty as it was today (barely edible). Almost inedible if several people eat the same thing.

We were there spontaneously for dinner. We were greeted in a rather semi-friendly manner. Not unfriendly, but not welcoming either. The food was OK. Especially on the grill plate is the obviously homemade Ayva. We sat outside but very welcoming inside.

The real, authentic flowers and the fundamentally successful idea of ​​a lovingly designed guest room are particularly positive. However, the implementation was overloaded in places - overall the interior seemed a bit too "intentional", which meant that the atmosphere tipped slightly into the exaggerated. The overall impression was reminiscent of a classic middle-class restaurant with regular local customers, which is aimed primarily at a long-established Meckenheim audience. 2. Service The service was friendly and solid. The processes mostly worked well, although minor weaknesses were noticeable. For example, the ice cream requested with the wine was only served after repeated requests, which slightly spoiled the otherwise decent overall impression. However, the round of Julischka served at the end was pleasing - a nice gesture that was remembered positively. 3. Food The dishes were mostly convincing and met the house's standards in terms of price and quality. The grill plate tasted good, the meat was well prepared and of good quality. The lamb also knew how to please – rustic, down-to-earth, but harmonious. The fried potatoes and beans were also very tasty. The Cordon Bleu was clearly above average and rounded off the main courses positively. However, the side salad significantly spoiled the positive overall impression of the kitchen. The salad buffet was disappointing in terms of size and quality: a one-time self-service on a very small plate with an extremely limited selection. The dressing looked like a cheap ready-made product from the supermarket - the taste was simply inadequate. This detail significantly lowered the standard of the house and ultimately cost it a higher valuation. The dessert was in the typical rich, sweet style of Croatian cuisine and was of good quality, although very powerful. The final mocha was excellent and rounded off the menu pleasantly.

I visited this restaurant for the first time a few days ago at lunchtime. The ambiance is pleasant, the service was friendly and prompt. The menu is extensive. However, the turkey cordon bleu I ordered was disappointing. It was very reminiscent of a plain schnitzel. There was no ham to be found, and the cheese turned out to be a razor-thin layer inside. The taste was also rather unappealing. I quickly put it through the deep fryer. I did something I don't usually do and left the food after a few bites. I'm disappointed and really surprised at the large crowds at lunchtime. One more thing to note: the restrooms were out of both toilet paper and paper towels.

We ate there with 12 people on March 20, 2025. Non-Croatian dishes were probably mostly okay. Cevaptiti and minced steak totally over salted. Nicely prepared looks different too. When you comment that the food was oversalted, there is no apology or anything like that. A holondaise was “slapped” on the Meckenheimer pot. The prices are overpriced for this quality.

The restaurant was almost fully booked when I arrived, but I was still served super quickly and friendly by a nice waitress. A big compliment because she had her hands full. I had an extremely tasty chicken soup, and then a delicious plate of cevapcici. This was more than generously topped, even for big eaters. I'd love to come back

The Blumenhof restaurant is highly recommended if you want to have a well-groomed meal in Meckenheim. We stopped here for dinner and were thrilled by the service and especially the quality of the food. Although we were only there with a small group at around 7 p.m. and the restaurant was very busy, everything from ordering to serving the food went very quickly. All dishes were consumed at the same time and the service was also very attentive. As for the dishes, most of them include a small salad plate that you can put together as you wish at the salad bar. If you're looking for good home-style cooking and high-quality products, you've come to the right place. I had a farmer's pan, here's a big compliment to the chef because all the fillets were perfect, which I would happily recommend to anyone due to the richness and quality of the ingredients used. I wish the team all the best and look forward to another visit!

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. It's exactly the same here as it was in a nice Croatian restaurant in 1990. The menu is probably out of date too. The salad bar is very clear (some raw vegetables, a dressing and vinegar/oil). There is only one vegetarian dish and that is some cooked, unseasoned imperial vegetables with hollandaise sauce. But it wasn't expensive at just under €14. The fillet steak with baked potato was perfectly fried and good quality for a reasonable €35. Okay for normal eaters, not recommended for vegetarians and vegans should stay out.

We were there on Boxing Day and everything was very good as always!

Nine people had dinner here today on Boxing Day. Only six people received their food. Three meals were forgotten and then quickly cooked. I am one of the people whose food came later. My chicken liver tasted nothing but garlic, as did the fries (oozing with garlic oil) and the rice. When I mentioned this to customer service, they said that this was correct. This is supposed to be on the map. However, that is not the case. I then received two pieces of liver which were fried again without garlic. However, the side dishes remained inedible.

I'm thrilled. Food very tasty and fresh. Service quick and friendly. Ambiance very cozy and nice. Will definitely come back.

Very good restaurant with Croatian specialties, but also other delicious dishes such as steaks or fillet pans. The portions are more than sufficient, and many dishes are also available as senior portions. A soup of the day is usually served with the meal and a salad from the salad bar is included. The service is attentive and friendly. Since the restaurant is usually busy, reservations are recommended. A definite recommendation for me.

We had 2 dishes and 2 drinks, the dishes were very clear, and the bill listed 6 drinks, for the money I can eat better elsewhere.

Unsere Freunde hatten Steaks bzw. Schweinefilet mit Sauce Bearnaise und Beilagen und waren ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. The restaurant was well attended, we didn't have a reservation, but we still had a very nice table. The waiting time from ordering to serving was within an acceptable range. Food was freshly prepared, the minced steak was unfortunately a bit overcooked and dry, but this was more than compensated for by the excellent grilled beef steak. Good value for money with very good cuisine, friendly, attentive service staff in a pleasant atmosphere, what more could I want? Blumenhof - we would love to come back! !!

Service top and ambience OK. The taste of the food itself is average at best. A lot (schnitzel/cordon bleu) seems to come from the deep fryer. Nobody there seems to have heard of garnishing meals. And NO, a small spiral of a carrot is not an eye-catcher. In terms of price, the Blumenhof is still within reasonable limits. There is much better in the surrounding area.

Back to the 70ties Alsof je in een tijdmachine terug bent gegaan naar de tijd van je ouders. Hotelporselein met papieren kleedjes ertussen Menukaart zonder lunchgerechten. Met nog een saladebuffet met geschraapte wortel en gesneden kool. Mijn man bestelde zigeunersnitsel (jawel ze bestaan nog) met friet en ik een salade met schafskase. De salade was een bord kropsla met idd de kaas en de dressing was AZIJN!! Oké op loopafstand van snellader maar verder modernisering niet doorgedrongen hier.

The restaurant is one of the best, I recommend Croatian dishes, simply amazing, I felt like in Dalmatia :) very tasty and nicely presented. Edit: I visited this fantastic place once again, what can I say... simply the quintessence of flavors, I feel the atmosphere and hospitality of Dalmatia. I recommend it to everyone.

Completely different to Berlin, where they serve ketchup and hot onions with their food. I definitely like this better. Otherwise it wasn't bad. The cevapcici were a bit too salty and despite the ayvar it was relatively dry. Service was friendly and ok so far. The restaurant is right on a busy roundabout and it is quite loud.

I was there for the first time. Very attentive and friendly service. The schnitzel was as a schnitzel should be. Sauce and fries as well. Salad at the salad bar was okay. What I missed at the salad bar was a small selection of vinegar. I sat on the terrace.

Really an institution, a really good "Balkan" restaurant. The service is friendly and courteous without being intrusive, the food our group had was very well balanced in terms of taste and not overloaded with unnecessary ingredients. Gladly again!

Today we were invited by our in-laws to dinner at the Blumenhof restaurant in Spé. The various dishes were all very tasty, the portions were really good and everyone was full. A grill plate, stuffed minced steaks, saddle of veal steak and lamb steaks were consumed. Everyone was very satisfied. Our waiter would have liked a smile on his face, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with the service. Therefore full marks. We managed to get a little laugh out of him. I give an extra point for the pancakes for dessert... very tasty.

We were at the Blossom Festival on April 21, 2024 with a group of 8 people. We actually wanted to eat something at one of the fruit farms. The fact that the tables were set up outside and there was an icy wind spoiled our desire for a bratwurst. We quickly decided to call the Blumenhof. Despite the full restaurant, the staff managed to accommodate all 8 people at one table. Thank you very much for this. And it was worth it. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately it's totally overcrowded, but there's a reason for that. Everything was great, nothing to criticize. Cozy, tasty, friendly and reasonable prices.
