We have already been to Steffens' moated castle three times. All we can say is: WONDERFUL! Fantastic food, super competent and friendly staff. The furnishings, the ambience and the terrace are a dream. We reserved again straight away. Once again we were served excellently by the chef KaiUwe Flüchter. The service and the food are still very good.👍

We ate here on the recommendation of friends and didn't regret it. All dishes tasted excellent, large portions and well prepared. The service also left nothing to be desired. We will be back!!

We had lunch with 20 guests at our civil wedding in the vaulted cellar and had a champagne reception beforehand. From the first moment the service was absolutely outstanding, courteous, attentive and friendly. At no moment was anything missing. Since we don't live nearby, we made a reservation based on a recommendation without having the opportunity to test the place ourselves. The advice on menu selection and the contact via email were quick and professional. The food was delicious, visually very attractively presented and extravagant with fine flavors. For us, this was an all-round, worry-free package. We were thrilled and would recommend the restaurant at any time.

We were able to host our small wedding in the Steffens Restaurant in the Voerde moated castle on May 29th and the day couldn't have been more beautiful for us - the very high quality food, the friendly service and the great ambience played a key role in us having one were able to spend an unforgettable day. A heartfelt thank you again to the friendly waitress Natascha and the very hard-working chef Kai, regardless of whether it is a visit to a restaurant or a wedding celebration, we will recommend Restaurant Steffens at any time.

We ended up there by chance. We had the best antipasti of our lives, served by a very cheerful waitress. Class!

We have now celebrated our wedding at Steffens. First there was a champagne reception and then a cozy dinner in a smaller group. In both situations we felt that we were in good hands and looked after at all times. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the ambience is upscale and beautiful! The staff looked after us wonderfully, attentively and warmly. The food was excellent and very tasty! We were very satisfied and would recommend the restaurant at any time. We'd love to come back!

Unique atmosphere, good service and phenomenal food.

We were there for Christmas dinner with our women's group. The food was phenomenal no matter what you ordered. We all felt very well looked after because the waitresses were very friendly and courteous. All around a wonderful evening

We celebrated our wedding here. The food was great. The advice on the menu was very good, we met beforehand and the 3-course menu was discussed. At the champagne reception, the bride and groom were the last to receive a glass, which was a bit unfortunate and it wasn't very well prepared, but that was it. After that everything was more than tip top. The service was very good and the food was amazing. Very very tasty. Thank you

Was there yesterday for lunch on the terrace: Wow! Very tasty dishes - I could hardly decide. And I really like the charm of the very nice staff - humorous, picking up on my own irony and playing with wordplay - it's great that something like that still exists!! Keep it up!

Very nice location, very friendly and fast service. The food is attractively presented and is a solid portion. However, there is still some room for improvement in the desired restaurant league when it comes to food. The cognac pepper sauce, for example, is absolutely perfect!

We celebrated our wedding there on September 1st, 2023. We have to say: IT WAS FANTASTIC!! All guests felt comfortable and were satisfied. And the food/buffet was great. Absolute recommendation!

A very nice restaurant. The food was extremely tasty and beautifully presented. For the eye ((: We celebrated my mom's 90th birthday there... so we ate there. Except for my brother (who had eaten there before) everyone was pretty happy. My brother was so very disappointed with the food because at first he had a sauce that was great!! He deliberately ordered the same dish as the first time. This time he was so disappointed that he won't eat there again. He recommended this place so much that we were all very excited about the food. However, he is of the opinion that the first time (in June) the food (especially the sauce) was so much different and much worse!!! :(( He says before her sauce was just chip shop style... watery. On the first visit he was so impressed that he absolutely recommended the restaurant to us. So everyone else) who had no comparison). Overall, they were happy with everything. However, the portions (redfish fillet) were really very different and on two plates they were absolutely TOO small. Other plates had a satisfying portion :-/ For me (I had no comparison) I thought the food was very good...the sauce was also very tasty (apart from a little thin)! There were a lot of guests in the restaurant that day. There were 60 guests upstairs alone. Maybe the quality suffered a bit??!! So as I said, out of 8 people, 4 were satisfied, the other 4 weren't so enthusiastic... and my brother was really annoyed that he recommended the restaurant to us so much. He will eat somewhere else in the future when it comes to fine dining restaurants. WE (my husband and I) will probably come here again and try a different dish at a different time.

We had a very nice afternoon yesterday thanks to a cheerful and attentive service team, but especially because of the excellent food. We will be very happy to come back.

Ich war nach dem Wechsel des Pächter das erste Mal wieder dort und war positiv überrascht. Die Preise sind angemessen bis moderat und das Ambiente hat gestimmt.

Ein schönes Ambiente, super freundliches Personal und das Essen einfach köstlich.

Freunde von uns haben hier standesamtlich geheiratet und anschließend waren wir im hausinternen Restaurant. Es ist hier wirklich sehr idyllisch und sehr schön zum heiraten 🤵‍♀️. Das Restaurant selbst ist super schön und sehr vornehmen. Das essen schmeckt hervorragend und der Service ist top. Wer hier ansässig ist und überlegt zu heiraten, kann ich diese Variante für eine standesamtliche Hochzeit sehr empfehlen

Das ist ja wohl mal eine absolute Traumlocation! Ich durfte dort mit meiner United Wedding Crew eine Hochzeitsmesse veranstalten und so herzlich empfangen wurde ich selten. Inka ist eine unfassbar freundliche und herzliche Frau. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf die weitere Zusammenarbeit. Ich kann jedem Paar nur empfehlen, im Wasserschloss Voerde und dem Steffens zu feiern oder auch einfach gemütlich was essen zu gehen.

Ein ganz tolles Restaurant, was ich jeden empfehlen kann. Das Essen ist großartig. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Das Personal ist super freundlich.

Ich muss eingestehen, dass ich nach meinem negativ Ereignis im Landhaus Freesmann mit gemischten Gefühlen ins Steffen's gegangen bin. Die Location gefällt mir schon einmal sehr gut. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hervorragend bedient. Den ganzen Abend über. Die Qualität der Speisen war auch sehr gut. Mein Fazit: 👍 gerne wieder, kann empfohlen werden.

Wir waren vor rund 2 Monaten im Wasserschloss Essen und es war traumhaft. Wir legen viel Wert auf qualitativ hochwertiges Essen und super Service. Beides fanden wir hier. Definitiv unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant. Wir freuen uns schon auf Weihnachten bei euch :)

Unglaublich Nette Bedienung. Wunderschönes Ambiente wo kann mann heißen Tag genießen. Waffeln mit Kirschen und Eiskaffe total lecker. Nur zum Empfehlen

Waren am vergangenen Samstag dort essen. Sehr schönes Ambiente, toller Biergarten. Essen war super 👌 und zu unserer Überraschung gab es auch noch eine musikalische Unterhaltung die gut beim Publikum ankam. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam!! Gerne wieder, vor allem mit Unterhaltung.
