3 days in Berlin and I went to Steel Bike 2x, what does that tell you? Its an amazing place, bike decore and a very great feel, the food is awesome , presentations , a must in Berlin

Food and location rating 10. Terrible service, not a smile and above all, one of the waiters dressed differently from the others was extremely rude to customers.

The waiter dressed differently must improve on first impression, politeness, empathy and friendliness

when its not so crowded it still took 20 minutes to serve my friends matcha latte, not satisfied🙁

Steel Vintage Bikes is a no brainer if you’re looking for brunch in the Mitte-Potsdamer Platz area. They have everything from savoury food to their delicious sweet pancakes and French toast croissant. I find the prices to be high for the portions and quality of the food, but it’s a nice spot nevertheless and we’ve always had great service here.

El lugar y la comida están bien, pero nada espectacular, para tomar la orden y llevarte la cuenta no son muy rápidos… pero también estaba súper lleno el lugar, supongo que tienen poco staff para atender las mesas. Algo que NO me gustó es que cuando pedí la cuenta, el mesero (que no me atendió nada), me pidió que colocara el porcentaje de propina en una pantalla con % predefinidos, en la que no venía la opción de editar o poner 0, no estoy en contra de las propinas, pero sí de que te “recuerden” o “soliciten” que lo hagas, se me hace una situación incómoda y desagradable.

Great please to stop for a coffee or beer near the Brandenburg gate and mooch around vintage bikes and cycling gear. Friendly service.

Unable to reach the restaurant. Unfortunately my friend got gastroenteritis from the smoked salmon from October 19th. Had a tough time with service while at the restaurant as well. I enjoyed my meal otherwise (smashed avocado on focaccia, pumpkin latte).

The food here was soo fresh and healthy!! Great portions and lots of interesting menu items you don’t typically see. It was a hard decision to pick one! I got the smashed avocado open focaccia. It was delish and too much food for me to finish

Great vibe, excellent coffee and fantastic scrambled eggs with bacon. Top spot for breakfast and food. Service was good, busy spot on a Sunday morning and within easy walking distance of our hotel.

Place is cool but the foods taste was really not up to the price and looks. If you are italian or you know how Burrata is supposed to taste, do not order anything with Burrata. Our Argentinian waiter was really friendly

Walked down the street from our Airbnb to check out this restaurant for breakfast. We were a group of 4 and had about 35-40 minutes before we had to get to a walking tour. The service really fast and we were in and out of the restaurant in about 35 minutes. Meals were between €7-15 per person depending on what was ordered and we didn’t order any drinks this morning. Personally, I had limited options due to a nut allergy but there were a lot of great options if you don’t have that allergy. It was really interesting inside with all the different bikes. Highly recommend checking it out.

Service is not great here, but not entirely bad either. The food however tastes good, but what really matters here is the atmosphere, which is funny and different compared to many other cafés. Bottom line is, come here for the atmosphere and the well tasting food and not the service...

I was there with colleagues to have breakfast. Ambience is interesting because it is really unusual, it is very rustic with bicycles on the walls, old bicycle tubes and a small shop for bicycle accessories. Nice idea but I was very disappointed with the food, it looked delicious but the prices are way too high. There is also a very small breakfast menu. If you want to have a real, long breakfast, you should go somewhere else, otherwise it will be very expensive. With a colleague I had 3 scrambled eggs with bread for €8.50. I thought everyone got their own bread, we had to share it and then it was an odd number (7 small pieces). And the bread didn't taste like anything :( I had hot chocolate with it... I was really looking forward to it... and was disappointed... it wasn't made with milk but with water and a strange powder that wasn't tasted like cocoa. And I found the saddest thing... that you couldn't even pay with cash :( And when it got more crowded, it was very, very loud and you had problems understanding the person you were talking to. So I won't go there again, even if the conditions were very nice and polite. Maybe the lunch is better... but I won't find out... It's a shame...

Atmospheric place, the filter coffee was good but I didn't like the food. I got the scrambled eggs served with focaccia, but it was too dry and the eggs were over-salted. So for 8,5 euros you get only scrambled eggs and bread. Not recommended.

We tried forest fruit pancake, although it looked very nice, there was no pancake dough. It feels too doughy, the recipe needs to be changed. The environment was spacious, internet was available and the coffee was good.

Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the bike shop. Then discovered that even the simplest spare parts were not in stock

Lovely place to have breakfast on a cold Berlin morning. The sweet potato puree, scrambled eggs and French toast croissant were excellent as well as the coffee. The bike shop is gorgeous, even if you are not a huge bike fan.

Very nice place, a bit remote but highly recommended. They have sufficient vegetarian options and the portions are fine. Helped quickly, there were not many places left. There is still plenty of room outside. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast/brunch!

Found this place by accident on a Sunday morning. Excellent food! I have dietary restrictions and found more options than imagined. Hubby loved the foccocia eggs and bacon!

We went there two days in a row for breakfast (had only 3 days in Berlin) and the third day, went 2 minutes before opening (it was 8:58,they open in 9:00), just to sit and wait until they were opened, and the so called "menager" was the worst to us, very unpolite, very rude. The rest of the staff, the waiters were very nice. It is not worth it being a tourist, going there to have a nice breakfast, in a chill place and they have the audacity to be so rude and disrespectful. Yesterday, I would recommend it. Today I say go search some other place, where you can eat nice food AND has a nice staff, trust me Berlin is full of them, you don't have to endure disrespect. A nice restaurant/cafe without good staff(in this case a terribly rude manager, who accuses you of being disrespectful and liar) is nothing. Null. Somebody call the owner because this is how the staff loses good clients. Destroyed our day without even beginning.

My partner and I stopped here purely by chance, and it turned into a really lovely experience. We ordered the burrata sandwich and a red pesto pasta, and both were delicious. Would recommend!

Ordered the Buffalo burrata. Some of the best food I’ve had in a cafe, maybe ever. Pleasantly surprised. Stumbled upon this place and will happily come back on a future trip to Berlin. Extra points for the killer bikes hanging in the windows.

This cafe used to be much better before, when the bread used for open faced sandwiches was a crusty sourdough. They now use a limp and undercooked focaccia - claimed to be made in-house - which ruins the avocado “toast” and the texture of the open face sandwiches as well. The food is now just barely good, and definitely not worth the visit or the price anymore. 13-15 euros for a sandwich where the bread is a huge disappointment, and the toppings quite scarce… the ingredients should be either adjusted or the price needs to be brought down. The staff are always friendly but it’s a shame that the food is no longer anything special. I’ve loved this cafe and visited every year I am in Berlin but this was my last visit. Very disappointed in the food. Please go back to your old menu! One more note - the establishment does not accept cash payments anymore.

The food looks delicious. Too bad I waited 20 mn to order coffee and pancakes, just to discovers 40 mn later, after having to call one of the waiters (they don't come to see you on their own) that they just forgot about my food. Paid the coffee and left. Coffee was good though but pricy for this poor service.

We sat there for lunch. The place was ok, but the pasta carbonara sauce not so good. It felt like some kind of already made industrial sauce. The hummus toast was better.

Really great find, great food, the pancakes are more muffins but lovely, and the egg and salmon breakfast very good. Not sure Italians would find the focaccia authentic. As a cyclist loved the concept and good mooching. Staff attentive and spoke English which is always helpful as my german is lousy. Highly recommend

We ordered the berry compote pancakes, maple syrup bacon pancakes, and the pasta pesto rosso. The berry compote pancakes are way too sour. all pancakes are very hard, not moist at all. And the pasta is not al dente but raw and not thoroughly cooked. The environment is nice though

We visited this restaurant every morning we were in Berlin. Our hotel, Hotel Adlon Kempinski, was right up the street. However, more importantly, the breakfast menu provided a great variety of choices and the food was excellent! Not to mention the Cappuccino, which was probably the best I have ever had. No reason for us to go anywhere else after the first visit. We were always able to get a table around 8am and sit outside on the quiet street, and the service was fantastic! However, beware. They do not sell merchandise on Sundays. While there is NO signage advising a customer of this, us and another couple had a very rude man bark at us that they do not sell merchandise on Sundays while waiting at the register. A prominent sign right at the register would have been all that is needed. Thank goodness we never had him taking our food order.

Delicious breakfast, friendly staff

Cooles Ambiente und schicker Laden. Leider aber längere Wartezeiten. Für die Wartezeiten war dann das Essen eher durchschnittlich. Die Avocado-Foccacia sah megagut aus, war dann allerdings nicht fade und nicht gut gewürzt. Der French-Toast dann fast etwas zu süss. Alles in allem zwar nicht schlecht, aber die Erwartungen waren etwas höher.

So glad we found this little gem! Food was amazing, service was brilliant. Wish we found it sooner ❤️

A short wait to be seated; this is a reflection of the popularity not anything else. Friendly and welcoming staff; very capable and multi-lingual. The food was well prepared and the wide selection offering something for all appetites. A very enjoyable breakfast.

Place to have an Americano in Berlin

The Café Restaurant on Wilhelm Straße in Berlin offers a nice outdoor area and an exciting indoor area with lots of old and cool bicycles. The food is quite good, the prices are moderate. Unfortunately, the service is a bit inattentive; you sometimes stand in front of the entrance for several minutes until you are seated. As is usual in Berlin, they almost only speak English in service, which I always find a little irritating. The Café Restaurant therefore receives four stars.

Often past it, this time clean and smooth, regretting that I had never been here before. Just the option of ordering ice cream on the side is great. I found the atmosphere extremely appealing and the food/coffee left nothing to be desired. You also have the sun outside in the morning, which is very nice.
