Was in Leipzig yesterday and was in the mood for steak. So I searched and ended up in Piccolo. We got a seat promptly without a reservation, but I think I was lucky as the place was full half an hour later. So reservations are recommended. I find the ambience a bit cold and sterile, not really steakhouse charm, but that's just a personal feeling and shouldn't be a criticism. Let's get to the food, for which we didn't have to wait long. Large portion, fresh, and delicious. The steak on point. In terms of price, I would say not necessarily something for every weekend. At least not for me, a poor middle-class person. 😄 But I would say that the quality is still acceptable and I would definitely recommend it.

Totally great food. The very friendly service served us various dishes, all of which were perfect. In November the focus was on "seasonal" duck, otherwise excellently prepared steaks were served there. The ambience also matches the high level of quality. Prices were appropriate for the quality, a little more expensive. Reservation in advance makes sense. Due to the lack of parking spaces in the area, it's better to use public transport. You can park there Mon-Fri on the streets for €3.5 per hour. On weekends, parking spaces are reserved for residents. But still possible in the evening. Your aalenaa yoga team from Leipzig!

This such an exquisite dinner! Absolutely wonderful Solyanka (just like my Dad used to cook). Specialty of the place Piccolo grill plate has lecho (so authentic that it reminded me our summer dinner in Western Ukraine). The service is amazing 😍 kind and caring personnel will make sure you are satisfied with your visit! Definitely coming back!

It was my first time here and I am absolutely impressed. It was my first time eating such a juicy sirloin steak. My friend had a fillet steak. It melted like butter in your mouth. Everything was right with the potato with sour cream. The bread with aioli was a delicious side dish. I've never had fried corn like this before and it has become my favorite. I can only recommend the Florida cocktail - extremely fruity and the perfect sweet note. Definitely have Kaiserschmarrn as dessert. The ambience, the cleanliness, the music in the background, the comfort and the atmosphere contributed a lot to the pleasant stay. But the service staff were the cherry on the cake! So respectful, friendly and always smiling! They were happy to accommodate my extra request and met my expectations. Thank you! I can only recommend the restaurant.

We were there for the first time yesterday and were completely thrilled and satisfied! The staff were extremely friendly to both us and our dog! You just felt comfortable. The food didn't disappoint either...it was really great.💯 We had the pepper steak and turkey steak...both are highly recommended! We'd love to come back ☺️

Side dishes for the card dishes could be exchanged without any problems. The homemade lemonade was to die for. We recommend. Honestamente nada especial y muy caro para lo que se obtiene. El filete de carne estaba bien, pero no era premium. Aún así, era muy tierno, pero también un poco demasiado frío. Las papas fritas también estaban frías, y muchas de ellas tenían grandes trozos negros y no agradables, que deberían haber sido cortados de las papas. El cordero no estaba tierno, como se describe. El servicio fue muy, muy lento. No volveré para ser honesto.

I've been to the small steakhouse many times over the years, but not recently. Among other things, we celebrated my son (now 20) starting school there. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, and you can also sit nicely in the small beer garden. The service is friendly and experienced, we were served quickly and well. You used to get good quality there for a reasonable price. It's been a while since my last visit. The last time on May 31, 2024 I was pretty disappointed. I was there with my son. He had a rump steak, I had a rib eye steak, both 250g. These cost €34.00 and €32.00 respectively, without any side dishes. I ordered my steak English and it was grilled very briefly, but with far too little heat. It was therefore raw on the inside, slightly cooked on the outside and overall tough. Maybe a rib eye isn't the best steak to eat "English", but a rib eye doesn't have to be tough and can exude roasted aromas if the meat quality and preparation are right. That was not the case in this case. I like grilling steaks myself and can give a little opinion on that. The two of us had the main course with side dishes and two beers each. The bill was over €100.00. Price and performance did not match.

Super lovely, attentive staff. Prices were higher but reasonable for the steaks we had. I can only recommend the sirloin steak. You don't need a fillet. Absolutely great.

I hadn't visited the steakhouse for several years because I didn't really like the quality of the meat. Unfortunately, I have to say that nothing has changed to this day. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is very nice and the friendliness of the staff makes you want to stop by.

Wir haben hier gestern unseren Abschlußabend in Leipzig verbracht und uns einmal durch die Ksrte gefuttert. Wir hatten Rib Eye Steak mit Ofenkartoffel und Maiskolben, Rippchen, Texasburger, Surf and Turf und danach noch Schokoküchlein und Crêpes. Alles war frisch und sehr lecker zubereitet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und auch der Cocktail war sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist sehr hell, freundlich und angenehm. Wenn wir wieder in Leipzig sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Not a typical steakhouse in terms of decor. But perfectly grilled steaks are served by nice people. Prices are high but not unreasonable.

My car mechanic's favorite steakhouse - we had to test it. I was surprised by the size, because from the outside you would think it would be bigger. The beer garden is still available in summer. It is very nicely decorated and the service is nice, quick and considerate. Then the food came - simply delicious. The chef knows his craft. All in all a successful evening. We'd love to come back.

A great restaurant with very tasty food. Meat, side dishes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The wine went very well and the staff was very friendly. There were immediately painting supplies on the table for the youngest child at the table. What more do you want? Definitely very happy to come back!

Of course, it is also clear that quality has its price, but this is by no means exaggerated. Immer wieder sehr sehr lecker hier. Vor ein paar Jahren hat man noch gesagt, dass die Preise hier recht gehoben sind, wofür man aber hier auch Qualität bekommt. Inzwischen sind die Preise ja schon fast ganz normal wie in jeden anderen Restaurant, nur das man hier weiß wie gut es schmeckt! Und man wird auch definitiv satt! Ich liebe das Surf and Turf, schade das es die Scampis nicht auch einzeln zu bestellen gibt, die sind ein Traum und schon perfekt vorbereitet zum essen. Ich könnte einen ganzen Teller davon nehmen. :-) Wenn man hier ein Filet medium bestellt, dann ist es auch medium und extrem zart. Davon können sich andere Restaurants eine Scheibe abschneiden, wo man das Fleisch eigentlich zurück gehen lassen müssten. Neben Schaarschmidt für mich mit das beste Restaurant in Leipzig. Im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis würde das Piccolo hier aber vorziehen.

Essen sehr gut, Gänsebrust, Grillteller, Rinderfiletstreifen und Fisch - alles superlecker und zart. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wenn man ein sehr gutes Steak essen möchte dann sollte man uuunbedingt ins Steak-House Piccolo gehen. Die Auswahl an Gerichten lässt keine Wünsche aus! Die Steak's sind der Hammer👍👍.Da können Maredo,Blockhouse und Co sich mehrere Scheiben abschneiden !!!! Egal ob Vorspeise oder Dessert,es war Alles sehr,sehr lecker.Ein ganz grosses Lob an den Koch. Auch das Personal ist super drauf und auf Zack. Kinder werden ernst genommen und das ist schön!!Wenn wir wieder in Leipzig sind dann werden wir mit Sicherheit wieder her kommen 😊. Man muss auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren!!!!

Wir hatten heute Abend : GANS TO GO ! Es sind statt der 4 / 6 Personen davon reichlich satt geworden. Absolut lecker, frisch, heiß, weich, knusprig! Tolle Klöße, handgemachtes Rotkraut! Chapeaux, Piccolo ! Und dabei 10 Euro unter dem neuen Leipziger Gänseessenpreis von mittlerweile fast 40 Euro in der Innestadt 🫣 Einige Leipziger Gastronomen haben den Schuss nicht gehört. Es reicht. Da geht keiner mehr aus! Danke, Piccolo! Es war einfach großartig! Bleibt Euch treu ! Wir bleiben Euch treu ! Fröhliche Gansessentage!

Tolles Steak, medium, ein Gedicht wie von einem Dichter!

Auf Empfehlung heute erster Besuch im Piccolo. Tolles Ambiente, sehr freundliches Personal. Leider waren Fleisch und Gemüse nur lauwarm. Es wurde aber schnell Abhilfe geschaffen und es kam heiß aus der Küche zurück. Auch wenn das Steak dann durch war, war es sehr schmackhaft, zart und saftig. Wir kommen wieder...

Quelle belle découverte ! Ce petit restaurant « caché » hors du centre de Leipzig est un petite perle. Le personnel est super accueillant, attentif et efficace. La salle est bien décorée, spacieuse et le jardin/terrasse doit être très agréable en saison. J’y ai dégusté un Rib-eye de 250g accompagné d’une pomme de terre au four, crème épaisse et un épi de maïs grillé, suivi d’une crêpe aux pommes caramélisées, glace vanille et fruits. Le vin rouge (au verre) que j’ai choisi était un très bon Malbec argentin. Le seul point négatif était la température un peu fraîche de la salle du restaurant. Et c’est probablement dû au fait qu’une grande partie du restaurant est sous véranda et donc difficile à isoler du froid… Mais cela ne m’empêchera certainement pas d’y retourner (avec un gros pull 😉)

El restaurante muy bien , amabilidad del personal en todo momento . La carne estaba buena ,pero quizá la próxima vez me pida un entrecot , que es algo más básico y grande e igual de sabroso. El postre estaba riquísimo, sinceramente lo mejor de la velada , increíbles . Un saludo y seguro que repetiré.

Das Restaurant haben wir das 2 mal besucht. Das Fleisch und der Fisch sind in Ordnung . Das Restaurant ist sehr gut frequentiert. Leider leidet die Qualität sehr stark , Essen kommen nicht parallel, Stühle müssen getauscht werden. Man spürt die Hektik und ein verweilen macht keinen Spaß.
