Think the tastiest ribeye ever, very good! Was there two years ago, simply one of the best steak houses in Mainz

We ate and drank excellently here. Gladly again. We were only surprised that we couldn't get sour cream or barbecue sauce with the potato wedges. But it also worked without it.

The service was far away from suitable for this place. The food was not good enough if you compare food quality and prices. I have ordered beef fillet medium done and it came very well done on the top and raw inside. The french fries were like in Mc Donalds- getting cold in a few minutes and no taste at all. Salad was not fresh. The garlic bread was not home made. There is no option to choose a home made lemonade. The location is great. Wont visit for second time.

Unfortunately the service was really terrible. Drinks were delivered that were not ordered. The rib eye and wedges were good, but the fries were McDonald's quality, so terrible. The nachos were from an Aldi bag and so were the apple strudel and vanilla ice cream. At the beginning we were asked whether we would pay separately or together. The waitress only came to us once within 3 hours and asked if everything was good and if we wanted anything else. Otherwise you have to bring the waitress to the table if you want something. We won't be going to the Oro Negro anymore, we'll be going back to the Patagonia, which is worlds better.

All in all it was okay, the steak fillet was very tasty, but the starters were unfortunately nothing special for the price. Unfortunately, I expected a little more. But still recommended if you like steak.

We were in Mainz with 7 people at the weekend. We ate here twice and it was very good. Food and service really great. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Lamb fillet was very tasty and cooked to the desired degree of doneness. Fries and salad were good. Service was very nice, the tables in the outdoor area were quickly put together for 11 people and the dishes were served at the same time.

I often eat here and it never occurred to me to write a nice word about this restaurant. Then now: located on Schillerplatz (super central), you can sit here wonderfully and have a great view. The meat is of the best quality and was grilled to perfection. Service friendly and attentive. I love being here, especially when the weather is good. Thanks to the great team

We were in Mainz quite spontaneously and also spontaneously went to the restaurant because we were really hungry. “Steak” was in the name of the restaurant - so let's go for it! Nice service, cool location in the middle and yet basically in the park... That's about it for the positive. Ordered 2x steaks (for 30€ each!!!) medium rare - both partly raw and one completely stringy and hard - therefore very difficult to eat. Potato wedges seasoned too strongly. Chicken wings (too strongly seasoned - not suitable for the little ones) and fries were okay. It wasn't worth €100 for 2.5 portions (couple with child). At least we know where we won't be going any time soon. Too bad

Wir sind hier am Ende unseres Stadrundganges spontan eingekehrt und waren sehr angetan. Die Sitzplätze unter den Bäumen in der Nähe vom Fastnachtsbrunnen sind vor allem an warmen Sommerabenden zu empfehlen. Unsere Gerichte waren sehr lecker und die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam.

The beef was fried to perfection, the quality of the meat was a dream. The rice was optimally shortened, the salad was fresh and crunchy, the aromatic sauce was the icing on the cake ❤️ Even if we are not from Mainz, we will come back, because in addition to really good food (price-performance ratio is also great), the human competence was also great super. I was in Mainz for the first time at the end of May 2024 and had dinner in the restaurant. The selection is excellent and the meat is also excellently prepared. The staff is friendly, quick and the location of the house is also very good in my opinion. The food was sufficient and the price was okay for me. The restaurant appears clean, which can be seen in the toilets. Space capacity is limited, which doesn't have to be a disadvantage if you know it in advance. In my opinion, the restaurant is definitely a recommendation.

A cozy place with outdoor seating (in summer) and a nice atmosphere on the square. Steaks were super good and wine was outstanding. The service was polite and attentive, but made some small mistakes (we had to open the wine ourselves and were not given clean cutlery after the salad). All in all a really good experience.

The food portion was inedibly salty. I got a replacement portion which was also still really salty. The service was rude. The waiters were more interested in gossiping with friends and the kitchen staff than serving us.

The food was great and the meat was on point. The drink selection is also very good. The ambience is OK. It's a shame that the bookkeeping with billing of all receipts was done right at the table next to us. That was a lot of chaos.

Very good steak restaurant in Mainz. The menu is small, but what is on offer is top notch. Our steaks were very well prepared, the starter and dessert were extremely tasty and we were both very enthusiastic about the orange mustard sauce. The shop is very small, so you should make a reservation to be on the safe side. In the summer when the outdoor area is usable, it's certainly a little easier. The prices are high, but in my opinion they match the quality of the food. It certainly won't be the last time we're here!

I haven't eaten such a tender and delicious fillet in a long time. Also perfectly cooked to medium rare. And that pepper sauce for the potato wedges... a dream! It wasn't a problem to get another bowl.

An altogether forgettable experience. I booked a table for two almost 6 hours before the scheduled meal time. When we arrived we were greeted in the most inhospitable manner, and forced to.move tables three times, apparently because the restaurant was overbooked The final insult however was when the reservation book was brought to our table so that I could "prove" I had a reservation! Not being willing to accept further bad service, or indeed bad manners, we promptly left.at this point Even hunger was more attractive to us than remaining. I can honestly say that I have never experienced such poor guest service ever before.

We came across this restaurant more or less by chance. Let's put it this way: we had dinner there on December 31st and it was the best piece of meat I've eaten this year! Excellent in terms of taste and quality. The service was super friendly and with top advice. The atmosphere is very inviting and pleasant. Es ist zwar eine einfache aber zweckmäßige Einrichtung. Das Essen gehört zur Spitzenklasse. Die Filets waren Medium auf den Punkt und gut abgeschmeckt. Der Service ist sehr gut und äußerst angenehm. Kann man mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Der Gastgeber hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Die Bedienung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und strukturiert. Überrascht war ich von der Anzahl verschiedener Dressings zum Beilagensalat. Wir haben die Orange-Vinegrette gewählt, welche sehr lecker und erfrischend ist. Die Steaks hatten den gewünschten Gargrad und sind überaus lecker gewesen. Mei. Rumpsteak war richtig zart und hatte ein fantastisches Grillaroma, wie es selten der Fall ist. Ich werde hier definitiv nochmal kommen, wenn wir Lust auf Fleisch haben.
