⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I went to Gutshof Herborn today and had a filet steak with peppercorn cream sauce and roasted vegetables – and honestly, I haven't had such a perfectly cooked filet steak in years! The meat was tender, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was simply heavenly. The roasted vegetables were also perfectly seasoned. The service was extremely professional and warm; I felt completely at ease from the very first moment. A restaurant I can wholeheartedly recommend – I'll definitely be back! 👏🥩🍷

As a woman and single person, I ventured into the steakhouse without a reservation. The older waiter left me standing there at first and then (5 p.m.) told me that everything was reserved and I would have to eat at the high table or leave. The high chair was difficult for me due to my knee and hip problems, but I was hungry, and without a car, this was the only way for me to get something to eat. The burger was very good, and the young waiter who served me was as friendly as you'd expect from a guest. Since I'm still here tomorrow, I'll eat in town. I won't need that again.

I had a lovely evening here with friends. The food was delicious and of top quality. The service was also friendly and attentive. The only criticism is the price, which is a bit on the high side. Nevertheless, I have fond memories of the restaurant, and I highly recommend it!

Why was my review deleted for alleged defamation? I was dissatisfied, and I gave an honest review.

Extremely dubious. The owners are clearly trying to use lawyers to have undesirable reviews deleted. The owners had my factual and objective review, in which I had positively rated the food, among other things, deleted because I objectively stated some obviously undesirable facts. Despite my legitimate complaint to Google, my review was no longer published. This makes Google reviews worthless and completely unobjective.

Review changed. Service has improved. I come here often for business. I still don't eat steaks because they often can't find the right spot. I see that with other people. I always enjoy pasta dishes.

I objectively rated the restaurant 3 and awarded it three stars. Now, years later, attempts are being made to remove this rating as "defamatory" in order to create an artificially better result.

"Food not really good" was my review for this restaurant. Some time later, I received a deletion notice from Google for alleged "defamation." The food is truly not good. I've been there five times and won't go back. As a Herborn resident, I can confirm that locals avoid the restaurant. So instead of asking me what was wrong with the food and how it could be improved, it seems that critical reviews are systematically being deleted by an advertising agency with the help of lawyers. I wonder how many critical reviews have already been deleted for this reason.

We celebrated our wedding in the barn at the estate in June 2025. From the first conversation with Ms. Asbai to the last minute of the celebration, we felt in excellent hands. All of our wishes and arrangements were taken into account. We particularly liked the fact that we were able to decorate the barn a few days before the ceremony, as fortunately, there were no other bookings. To kick things off, we had a fantastic champagne reception with incredibly delicious canapés in the venue's beautiful courtyard. After this very successful start, the celebration continued upstairs in the barn above the restaurant. Here, too, the food (buffet) and drinks, as well as especially the service, were impressive right up until the end of the ceremony. Our guests were all thrilled – we received a lot of positive feedback! Many thanks to Ms. Asbai and Mr. Yildiz and to all the kitchen and service staff – we would choose you again anytime! Despite our sustained enthusiasm, we don't want to leave unmentioned that communication with the banquet department was a bit slow at the beginning of our planning, but this improved significantly as our date approached. Furthermore, given the temperatures upstairs, we were quite pleased that it was a rather cool and overcast summer day.

An institution in Herborn, it's always a treat for me to be here. As always, there's a warm welcome in the restaurant, a friendly greeting followed by a greeting from the kitchen. Choosing what to eat is quick, because whether it's an appetizer, salad, or steak (highly recommended), everything is delicious and prepared to perfection. Drinks are served to match, and the cigar lounge completes the experience. Full marks, it's fun for everyone involved 🎉

Ordered a Chateaubriand from the menu. Received beef tenderloin trimmings. The taste was okay, but not what I expected. A thick steak cut from the beef tenderloin, often referred to as a double sirloin steak. It's a shame that the customer is treated like a fool. Service is okay.

I've never written a bad review in my entire life, but today one is due (unfortunately). The service is absolutely awful. It takes ages before anyone even notices you. Then the kitchen closes at 8:50 p.m., the bitter lemon I ordered is three months out of date, and as if that wasn't enough, you can only pay by card. This stinks to death. I definitely won't be coming back. It's sad what has become of the estate.

In der abendlichen Rush-Hour war der Service offensichtlich überfordert. Das Essen (ausgezeichnet und empfehlenswert) kam 45 Minuten nach der Bestellung (Steak!). Alkoholfreie Drinks wurden angeboten, waren dann aber nicht verfügbar. Ein gutes Bier dauert 25 Minuten…

Varied menu but the prices are high.

Just wanted to eat a little something. The small 200g Angus fillet steak was perfectly fried medium well and tasted excellent. Not cheap, but definitely good value! The prices for drinks were relatively cheap.

Really nice food and wine at the Steak House

I went to the steakhouse for the first time with my colleagues today. The food was very good, the service staff is attentive and friendly. We didn't have to wait long, even though the restaurant was very busy. I can't understand the negative reviews. Everything was great for us. I can only recommend the steakhouse.

The hotel was very nice and there was plenty of parking available. The only thing I have to complain about is that the prices for the whiskey in the restaurant are charged freely. There was no price list about it. We both know whiskey very well. And when it said €12.50 each for “various whiskeys” for two different whiskeys, we thought that was really bold. Because that wasn't justified.

The restaurant is excellent! You will have many tasty choices.

It was a very nice evening with my entire family. The food tasted good, prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was great! Always my pleasure!

We, the Schneider Sports team, went to the steakhouse for the annual Christmas party and can only say everything was 5 stars plus 👍👍👍. From the reception to the farewell, everything was just perfect. Food tastes very, very good, you feel like you are with friends. I just can't understand many of the reviews. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back to you.

We did not have a reservation but were able to be seated. Our food was delicious. The steakhouse was busy and service was kind of slow because of that. The hotel and steakhouse sit in a beautiful area. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. Our price included breakfast which was okay. The only issue really were dirty cups and glasses in the room. There are three grocery stores near by.

Das Restaurant ist an ein gutes Hotel angeschlossen. Die Steaks sind von guter Qualität und das Personal freundlich. Der Außenbereich wirkt sauber und einladend. Im Inneren gibt es einen sehr großen Speisesaal, wo es durchaus ein Grundgeräusch gibt. Die Preise sind tendenziell eher hoch.

Disappointing visit to the steakhouse Unfortunately we cannot recommend this steakhouse. The prices are completely excessive and bear no relation to the quality of the food. We waited an hour for our table even though we had a reservation. The staff was scarce and the waiting times were correspondingly long. To make matters worse, the chefs didn't even manage to grill the patties properly. Overall, a disappointing experience that we will not repeat.

We were warmly welcomed even without a reservation; our dog was allowed in, which was no problem. The food, steak and wild boar sausage, were both very good, and together with a freshly tapped beer I can highly recommend it. 👍

We hadden hier 2 jaar terug al eens geslapen in het bijbehorende hotel. Hotel is goed en heeft een uitstekend ontbijtbuffet. Maar het restaurant viel me dit keer erg tegen. Om te beginnen was alles gruwelijk zout. Zeker de patat. Als je toch zout op tafel hebt staan is dit nergens voor nodig. Salade verzoop in de dressing. Kun je ook op tafel zetten. Verder als je dan de keuze kan maken bij de rumpsteak tussen de Angus en de Hereford ( meerprijs) zorg dan ook in elk geval dat medium niet bijna well done is. Nu is de Duitse rumpsteak wel wat anders dan we in Nederland gewend zijn maar van een stukje Herefotd mag je wel iets verwachten betreffende smaak en malsheid. De rumpsteak is normaal wat steviger maar deze zat tegen taai aan en wederom veel te zout. Zonde want door het zout kun je niet de echte smaak proeven. Vraag me ook serieus af wat ik gegeten heb. Waarschijn een overjarige Hereford of heel iets anders. Gemiste kans dus. Dessert was ok maar ook niet super. Al met al een beetje een deceptie. Vooral omdat we hier speciaal langs gereden zijn en de overnachting daar bij geboekt hadden. Personeel was wel aardig maar stond veel met vaste gast te kletsen. Komt niet heel professioneel over als het druk is. Deze slaan we volgend jaar maar eens over.

This restaurant is named STEAK HOUSE. But I strongly recommend you to try chicken salad. It was juicy, tender, quite tasty, and the portion was reasonably big. With a glass of beer, I was quite satisfied. On the other hand, I am afraid beef and port did not seem so good as the chicken salad, I mean, they were a little dry. It all depends upon your taste, but I would choose the chicken salad again with a glass of beer or wine in my next visit.

Preise überirdisch. Fast unverschämt! Pommes nach verbrannt geschmeckt und der Burger trocken. Hätte man Fast Hammer und Meißel gebraucht . Wir nie wieder.

The steakhouse is in the upper price segment, but this is disproportionate to the table culture there. You eat from shiny, cheap plastic tables, which doesn't fit in an upscale restaurant. The food is good, especially the fresh bread with chilli oil from the kitchen. However, it is an absolute “no go” and legally very questionable that payment can only be made by card. I have never experienced that anywhere in the world! What's that supposed to mean?! Supposedly there would be signs indicating this. Even with that, this practice is unacceptable. I still decide for myself how I pay my bill. Despite the good food, we won't be coming back again.

The food was very tasty and the location is great. Very attractive. There is a remote control for long periods of sitting in front of empty glasses. There would definitely have been more sales...

By far the worst service we have ever experienced! Every chip shop can do that better! The ambience is great and the food is good - unfortunately the miserable service ruins everything. Next time we'll get a bratwurst at the stall.

At the beginning there was a greeting from the kitchen (bread with butter and chilli dip). The Angus steak was perfectly cooked. The sauce was also perfectly seasoned. I can honestly say it was a 12/10. Absolutely perfect. I can really only recommend it. The food is absolutely worth its price.

The restaurant leaves a somewhat mixed impression. The atmosphere is nice, the service was professional, friendly and asked questions regularly. The food fluctuated between okay (burgers) to clearly overpriced and too little, but the taste was okay (meat dishes) and really bad (oven vegetables). All in all, the overall package would be a C for me in school grades and the fun is a bit too expensive for that.

I had dinner here with the family. My 300 gram fillet steak was excellent! Big compliments to the kitchen and everyone else on the team!

Wir haben hinter dem Hotel unser E-Auto geladen, wollten in der Zeit was trinken. Nachdem wir der Kellnerin gesagt haben, dass wir nur was trinken wollen ob wir uns in die Lounge setzen können, hat sie „ja sehr gerne“ gesagt und wir haben uns in die Lounge gesetzt. Nach 30 Minuten Wartezeit ohne beachtet zu werden, sind wir wieder gegangen. Schade. ☹️

Actually ideal as a business travel hotel. Good location near the motorway. Ambiance is beautifully selected. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Unfortunately walls are pretty thin 😅 Was woken up by the neighbor's alarm clock but I guess that happens sometimes. Already recommended. There was a nice buffet at breakfast.

Overpriced restaurant with a nice atmosphere. You are forced to pay by card, cash is not accepted. impudence. After we got our drinks and the menu, we had to wait 30 minutes for the order to be taken. We refused and wanted to pay. As a thank you, we were given the initial address and had to go to the checkout and pay there. An unfriendly “ciao” rounded off the bad experience. Once and never again.

Fantastic food and service. It is busy during the week but it is worth the wait. An excellent selection of steak on offer including Aberdeen Angus and Hereford. Cooked to perfection. Had great service from Aziza, Adem and Ali.

The grilled vegetables tasted pretty much the best vegetables I have ever eaten! That was so great 👍 respect! You don't always have to go to the big city straight away, the good things are usually so close. I will come back! Price/performance is absolutely fine. Quality (especially when it comes to meat) comes at a cost. You don't do that every day either. I was really excited, thank you very much! Of course I can't rate the rooms because I come from the area.

Essen unterer Durchschnitt und total überteuert! Wir hatten überwiegend Filetsteaks mit div. Beilagen. Alle Beilagen werden separat in Rechnung gestellt. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis steht im krassen Widerspruch zu den jeweiligen Speisen. Servicekraft freundlich aber hoffnungslos überfordert. Tolle, zentral gelegene Location die den kulinarischen Ansprüchen definitiv nicht gerecht wird.

Ich war bereits mehrfach im Restaurant und sehr zufrieden. Der Service war sehr kompetent und freundlich. Qualität des Essens war sehr gut. Hervorragende und bezahlbare Weinauswahl.

Einen Salat Nizza für 17€ empfand ich als bodenlose Frechheit. Der Koch sollte sich nochmal ein klassisches Rezept für diesen Salat anschauen denn das, was man dort als Salat Nizza bekommt, hat nur bedingt etwas mit einem Salat Nizza zu tun. Keine Kartoffelstücke, keine Artischocken, keine Sardellenstreifen! Bohnen aus dem Glas, der Thunfisch machte keinen wertigen Eindruck und war oben als fetten Klumpen aufgesetzt. Der Salat sah eher aus wie ein Beilagensalat. Dazu hatte ich Knoblauchbrot als Beilage für 6,50€ und das war dann der abschließende Witz. Zwei kleine Scheibchen Brot für 6,50€? Euer ernst? Preis - Leistung war voll daneben. Da gibt es definitiv bessere Locations in der Gegend. Nie wieder!

Das Steakhaus macht äußerlich schon viel her, insbesondere, wenn das Wetter gut ist und man im Hof unter Schirmen und Pavillons gemütlich speisen kann. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und freundlich, da gibt's auch nichts zu meckern. Die Angebote auf der Speisekarte sind vielfältig und gut erklärt, aber auf den ersten Blick nicht billig. Die gebote Qualität entspricht aber dem Preis und da man so schön sitzt, fällt es nicht schwer, für ein genussvolles Abendessen zu zweit in den dreistelligen Bereich der Euros zu rutschen. Es lohnt sich, kann man aber nicht jeden Tag machen.

Super Location. Gehobenes Ambiente mit exzellenter Bedienung und tollem Essen. Sehr gute Karte, trifft alle Geschmäcker......aber in einem Steakhouse sollte man Steak essen. Mein Irish Hereford war auf den Punkt....

Ich war bisher immer nur zum Essen mit Kollegen im Gutshof und kann nichts negatives sagen. Die Speisen sind top und vor allem die Steaks sind immer auf den Punkt perfekt und vor allem sehr gut!

Wir waren das erste mal da. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre, zuvorkommende und freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war top, lange nicht so gut gegessen. Wir kommen wieder. Nach 3 Monaten haben wir wieder qualitativ hochwertigen Genuss der Küche genießen können. Jede Speise vom Rinderfilet, Nizza Salat, Nudeln bis zum Flammkuchen waren lecker. Sehr nette Bedienung, ein rundum hervorragender Abend.

Steakhouse Gutshof war ideal für uns gegenüber war das Restaurante das wir besuchten zum Abendessen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb zur Stadtmitte aber sehr ruhig.

Absolut kinderunfreundlich; wir hatten für drei Familien mit Kindern reserviert; es dauerte keine fünf Minuten und wir wurden unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass die Kinder nicht rumspringen, rumspielen und nichts anfassen sollten; wir sind dann mit sechs Erwachsenen und drei minderjährigen kleineren Kindern in ein anderes Restaurant gefahren; die Kara; da war es super

Der Salat war kein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Salatblätter waren an vielen Stellen braun und das Hänchen zäh trocken und ungenießbar. Der zweite Versuch war besser jedoch das Fleisch wurde mit einer Chinafertigsoße übergossen. Das Personal war bemüht und hat uns mit einem Nachtisch entschädigt. Trotzdem kann ich die Küche nicht empfehlen....schade, denn das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Ganz tolles Tagungshotel mit erstklassigem Service. Perfekt für jede Veranstaltung und Tagung. Es gibt neue und ältere Zimmer. Die neuen Zimmer sind wirklich toll. Das Personal ist sehr nett und es gibt Ladestationen für E- Autos. Toller Service.

Sehr zu empfehlen für Hochzeitsfeiern Das Ambiente und das hoch professionelle und symphatische Team haben die Feier zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Es war wirklich der schönste Tag im Leben für das Brautpaar.

Wir waren mit 5 Erwachsenen und 2 Grundschulkindern an einem Samstagabend im Dezember hier. Zunächst waren wir die einzigen Gäste, später waren drei weitere Tische besetzt. Der Service war aufmerksam. Wir wurden von 2 Personen umsorgt, wovon eine anscheinend gerade angelernt wurde. Das Essen war richtig gut! Wir hatten Suppe, Salat, Burger und Schnitzel. Alle waren zufrieden und es hat allen wirklich gut geschmeckt. Vorab gab es Brot und Butter für alle um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Hier wurde sogar nachgereicht als dieses leer war. Es gibt keine Kindergerichte, jedoch konnten wir für die Kinder von der Speisekarte die Gerichte als Kinderportion bestellen. Genaugenommen hat man ein normales Gericht auf zwei Teller verteilt und hat uns statt zwei Kinderteller ein normales Gericht abgerechnet. Leider gab es keine Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für die Kinder, wir hatten privat vorgesorgt, also war auch das ok. Schade war auch, dass zunächst die Salate und Suppen gereicht wurden und die Kinder bis zum Hauptgang warten mussten, bis ihr Essen kam. Es wäre schöner gewesen, die Kinder wären als erstes versorgt worden. Wir werden definitiv nochmal kommen, denn geschmeckt hat es uns allen!

Steak war reichlich und lecker, der Service war auf zack und hat regelmäßig gefragt ob alles OK ist bei uns.

top Qualität waren jetzt 4x in Folge dort.. immer nette Bedienung jedes mal gleichbleibende top Qualität ! Und sehr gemütliches Ambiente ;-)

Leckeres Iberiko Steak, aktuell bei neuem Besitzer, wohl Türkischen Ursprung, Italienische Gerichte und Steaks. Steaks teuer, Entrecote 300g ohne Beilagen 42€,Pommes 5,50,aber keine Info, wo die Steaks her sind. Eiskalte Tomatenscheiben auf dem Jankee Burger, geschmacklich aber gut. Pana cotta war gut. Alkoholfreies Hefe geht gar nicht, leider mit Auto vor Ort.

Wir hatten rechtzeitig ( ca.14 Tage vor dem Termin) für ein Geburtstagsessen für 6 Personen reserviert.Bereits bei der Reservierung hatte ich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass ein Gast im Rollstuhl sitzt und um Berücksichtigung gebeten. Als wir dann jedoch am entsprechenden Samstagabend im Restaurant unsere Reservierung wahrnehmen wollten, wurde uns vor Ort mitgeteilt, dass es eine geschlossene Gesellschaft gibt und deshalb kein Platz für uns ist! Auf die Frage, was wir nun machen sollen, hieß es lapidar, es gäbe ja noch genügend andere Lokale in Herborn. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Alternativangebot, nur unfreundliche Abweisung. Letztlich wurden wir mitsamt der Rollstuhlfahrerin einfach unbeachtet im Raum stehen gelassen. Das Restaurant des Gutshofs Herborn hat sich damit ein unterirdisches Service-Zeugnis ausgestellt. Gutshof Herborn- für uns nie wieder!
