Perfect. Atmosphere, service, food

Looks delicious, and the steak was incredibly tender. The prices for the side dishes were a bit annoying, though. A dollop of herb butter cost over 3 euros, and an ear of corn cost me almost a fortune.

I really enjoyed it. I'd wanted to try it for years and finally went for the first time on Sunday. I had a 350g rumstick with Gorgonzola sauce and ribbon pasta, and a 250g filet steak with pepper sauce and fries. It was delicious. To finish, there was a homemade crème brûlée.

2025: Great restaurant again, good food and very attentive service. However, a steakhouse with knives that don't cut is a no-go for me. The price-performance ratio is about 50% higher than in 2024. Over €90 for two people is quite steep. The restaurant was freezing cold; they must be skimping on the heating. With an outside temperature of -2°C, they could easily turn the heat up a bit. The men's restroom smelled like an Easter service with lots of incense.

I just arrived, my friend and I, and the waiter or manager looked at us and said, "No, we're closing," even though it was only 8:20 PM and we close at 11:00 PM. And there were tables available! Is it the color of our skin? He barely looked at us.

The food was delicious, no question. But you have to order and pay for everything separately: fries, sauce, etc. So, with three people (two adults, one child), the bill quickly reached €160, including drinks. We can't afford that often. So, this will be our last visit for a while.

After a long break, we made it back to El Carnicero. The two of us had ordered a shared grill plate for €40 each. To our surprise, the grill plate wasn't large enough. The plate was mostly chicken. There was very little lamb, beef, and veal. The meat itself was well grilled and cooked to perfection. However, you'd expect a bit more from an €80 grill plate. I'm not talking about the corn on the cob and broken beans that adorned the grill plate; no, I'm simply talking about grilled food... all in all, we were disappointed. Even after I expressed my frustration to the waitress, who then jokingly mocked my comments.

If you love great meat, you've come to the right place...I tried it once with a colleague and since then whenever we feel like a good piece of meat we go to El Carnicero!!!

We come back to Carnicero every now and then. The steakhouse lives up to its name. The steaks are always top-notch.

The steak was really delicious and cooked to perfection, and it came with crispy fries – both were excellent. The salad was pretty standard, the kind you'd get anywhere. The pepper sauce was unfortunately disappointing, as it tasted more like a simple gravy with peppercorns and had a strong tang of stock cubes. The service was very friendly and attentive – a big plus! However, the music was much too loud and didn't fit the steakhouse atmosphere at all (dance floor beats). Not only we, but other guests didn't like it either. With a slightly better sauce and suitable background music, it would have been a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

In any case...everything was great...

Simply great food. Very friendly service and a very nice restaurant.

The food was excellent, but we have to criticize the three mini ice cream scoops in the dessert. Beautifully presented, very tasty, but outrageous for almost €10. I've never seen such small scoops in my entire life (I almost missed them). So the dessert really spoiled the experience. What a shame.

We would have expected more, given the presentation and the good reputation. Almost everything costs extra, even if you want fries instead of rice. I had the grilled skewer with rice; the meat wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly outstanding either (a bit tough). The rice seemed like it had been reheated; it definitely wasn't fresh. The grilled skewer also came with ONE salad from the buffet; I've never experienced a buffet where you can only pick something once. The salad was very tasty, though. The service was a bit pushy, and you felt a bit controlled (not just at the salad bar). Price/performance: Okay. All in all, below average.

I've been there twice now and have been satisfied both times. Even vegetarians have delicious alternatives, such as the veggie burger.

I can only advise anyone who doesn't care about animal welfare to eat here. Cruelty to animals is supported here (frog legs).

Long waiting times Selling meat from frogs I even saw on TV that this is not a fair preparation and how the frogs are wantonly tortured. In addition, the fries were already cold when I got the food. Better go to a restaurant down the street

We reserved a table for 4 people and everything went well. The starters and salads came to the table at the same time and before the main course we were asked whether we wanted the main course now. I found that very attentive and we had no time pressure when eating. All requests regarding the cooking condition of the steaks were implemented perfectly and the quality was very good. The fries, whether made from potatoes or sweet potatoes, were very tasty. No match is too dark. In my opinion the sauces were a bit bland. I had two mayo-based sauces that didn't taste much different. If the name of the restaurant is already Spanish, then I would have liked at least a "red", homemade sauce. The staff and the boss were friendly and attentive. All in all, an enjoyable, successful evening with friends. We will certainly be happy to meet there again. The prices were very fair and attractive. The price-performance ratio is good.

Frog legs don't work at all. Please educate yourself about the 'extraction' of this perverted food and the ecological consequences.

We recently went to the steakhouse. We came from further away because this restaurant made a very good impression on the internet. Food top. The reason why we were there the first and last time was the waitress, who probably doesn't like herself. As soon as we walked in we were not greeted with a “Good evening, hello, etc.,” but with a snappy “Please?!” … Unfortunately, it continued like that the whole evening, with everything you asked being disrespectfully insulted. We wanted to have some mineral water later... so we simply said "we don't have it"! Where is there something like that?? Unfortunately, she behaved just as terribly at the table in front of us. A young, nice southern lady then cashed in on us. She was very polite but was the last drawer for the old lady with long gray hair!

The food in this restaurant was really good, the steak was cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. Unfortunately, our evening was marred by the extremely unfriendly service. The waitress, an older woman, was disrespectful and rude from the start. Any questions were answered with annoyance and it seemed as if guests were more of a nuisance than welcome. Despite the good food, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Good service is just as much a part of a successful restaurant visit as good food. What a shame!

Geschmacklich alles super, Preise überhöht, jede Kleinigkeit kostet extra, sogar jeder Änderungswunsch kostet extra (Pommes anstatt Kartoffeln), zweimal ans Salatbuffet, erst mal probieren bevor man sich mehr holt, wird genau beobachtet, paniertes Schnitzel für 20 Euro und dann kostet noch Sauce und Pommes extra, wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder und haben 330 € bezahlt ( ohne ein Wein). Naja, die Grenzen sind überschritten.

Absolutely great, the service is always top, the dishes are served quickly, the attention is always on the guest, drinks are delivered quickly. We always enjoy being there.

Ich war schon öfter hier ... immer wieder ein Genuss! Das Flankensteak ist einfach Spitze, vom Geschmack, von der Qualität, von der Menge sowieso. Ebenso das irische Salzrindersteak. Wer ein Gourmet-Restaurant mit entsprechendem Interieur und Service erwartet, ist hier falsch. Dafür gibt's 'ne ehrliche Küche und eine immer gleichbleibend Spitzenqualität der Fleischgerichte. Auch am Service gibts nichts auszusetzen.

We were at the steakhouse in December. The food was very good, but the service was a disaster. The wait for the card took a good 35 minutes; The food came pretty quickly, but the drinks… well. Also a remark from the service person that she “only has to work with idiots” was completely unnecessary! We didn't get dessert because the wait for the menu just took too long. Same picture on the invoice.

We had mixed cold plates for New Year's Eve 2024 in 2025. It was sensational to the eye and taste and also plentiful. I can absolutely recommend it 👍👍👍

We also had our Christmas party at El Carnicero this year. What can I say? Everything is just right: attentive, friendly and cheerful service staff with delicious food from a chef who sings Christmas carols! So we'll be there again next year!

Steakhouse good value for money. The extensive salad buffet is definitely recommended for the main course. There is a wide selection of main courses, at reasonable prices with good taste. Even though it was fully booked, orders were taken quickly and you didn't have to wait long for your food. I can recommend the restaurant.

Essen Top und Bedienung auch. No go ist diese Reservierungen wo man mit KI reden muss. Wenn Modern dann alles. Ich bekomme docht leider Platz Angst wenn der Laden voll ist. An sonsten ist es schwierig spontan zu sein, da am Wochenende immer alles verbucht ist. Gut für das Restaurant, schlecht für den Gast.

Very nice experience We ate at El Carnicero again for our son's 9th birthday. We like going there because the service and the food are very, very good. On the birthday evening, the very attentive waiter found out pretty quickly that it was our son's birthday. He probably told that to the boss, who came to us a short time later, had a little chat with the 9-year-old and placed a “Happy Birthday” sign on our table. This continued over the course of the evening. Sometimes the boss, sometimes the waiter came and looked after the young man in a very, very friendly and caring manner. He clearly enjoyed the attention. After dinner the boss came and promised a special surprise. The surprise came a little later: the light in the dining room dimmed, a fountain of sparks on a large dessert plate was brought to our table by the impressively singing waiter! We were all amazed - the young man sat there in amazement and was really happy... We were really very touched by this wonderful and kind gesture! That was something special and is still keeping us busy a few days later. Thank you very much - that was great cinema! And of course it tasted good too.

The food wasn't quite my thing... not salty...hardly any taste

Rarely have I had such a good steak. Even though something went wrong with the order, we all got food at the same time. Namely what we ordered. Very nice service. We've been there many times now and keep coming back.

The food was very good, but the staff was horrible. I had forgotten the name I had reserved under. We arrived, I said my middle name, that I had reserved a day in advance, two pieces from the staff went into a big discussion that this couldn't be the case, that they had already been fully booked for two weeks. I then said that I called 100% yesterday and made a reservation. And the person on the phone said that they only had one table left for five people, and the answer was very snippy and said that such a thing is never said that it can't be. One of the staff went through the list again. If I hadn't found myself, we would have 100% been sent away again.

Best steak I've eaten so far. I had Irish salt beef medium rare. It had been cooked perfectly. The pepper sauce was very fine. Fries were also very crispy, and a Franconian dark beer on tap was a delight. As a starter you could put together your own plate from the salad buffet.

The food is super tasty, prices are for the higher budget. The menus must be put together independently. For me personally, the portion was enough, my husband, who eats more, was still hungry at the end. The steak was perfect. The salad buffet is inside, unfortunately apparently not cooled, not covered. I didn't like the salad, so I had to get it myself. We sat outside in nice weather. Ambience is quite good. Result for me, was interesting and tasty, but I won't go there again.
