Wir waren auf einen Kurztripp in Herford und sind durch Zufall im Steakhaus by Ilvi gelandet. Wir haben vorzüglich gegessen, der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant ist eine Augenweide! Selbst Rollstuhlfahrer und Hunde sind herzlich willkommen! Gerne würden wir hier wieder einkehren, sollten wir noch einmal nach Herford kommen. Ulla

Ich komme aus Großbritannien und hatte ein fantastisches Erlebnis. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Besitzer und der Service wunderbar. Ich wurde von einer Kellnerin namens Melisa bedient, und sie hat ihren Job wirklich toll gemacht, sie war so freundlich. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und kann das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sind auf Extrawünsche sofort eingegangen. Weiter so!

Ich hab selten so ein Restaurant erlebt… 😳✨ Steakhouse by Ilvi hat mich wirklich überrascht. Man kommt rein und merkt sofort: stilvoll, gehoben – aber null überheblich. Einfach eine Atmosphäre, in der man sich direkt wohlfühlt 🤍 Und dann das Essen… 😍 Man sagt ja, das Auge isst mit – aber hier ist es wirklich ein Erlebnis. Jedes Gericht sieht aus wie ein Kunstwerk und schmeckt noch besser. Die Vorspeise allein: frisches Brot, Butter und Nüsse mit Pfeffer & Salz – klingt simpel, war aber einfach next level 🤌🏼 Und für mich ein riesiger Pluspunkt: Meine Hunde waren willkommen 🐾 Das macht alles direkt noch gemütlicher und persönlicher. Ganz ehrlich… ich komme wieder. Und zwar sehr bald 🔥

Bin jetzt das zweite Mal innerhalb kurzer Zeit dort gewesen. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Der Service genauso gut. Wer ein gutes Steak essen will, sollte es hier probieren. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Im Februar mit Familie dort gewesen, Käseplatte sehr gut und üppig, Kinderteller top, Steaks in allen Variationen super, jeden Gargrad getroffen. Service sehr nett

Schönes Restaurant in Herford.Dort kocht der Chef selbst.Und das mit Herz. Es gab aufs Haus Brot mit Kräuterbutter und einer tollen Tomatensalsa (definitiv Hausgemacht) Das Rinderfilet war auf dem Punkt, wie bestellt. Die Pfeffersauce war cremig und nicht mit Pfeffer überladen. So auch der Steckteller.Alles auf dem Punkt wie bestellt. Die leckeren Desserts waren sehr gut. Sowohl das Schokosoufflé als auch die Mascarpone mit Beeren. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich.Das zeichnet ein gutes Restaurant aus. Gerne kommen wir wieder ❤️

Wir haben dort mit 13 Personen anlässlich eines Geburtstages gefeiert. Unsere Tafel war im hinteren Teil des Lokals, so dass es wenig Berührungspunkte mit den anderen Gästen gab. Das Ambiente war gehoben in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und mich hat beeindruckt, dass die Speisen (bestellt a la carte) zeitlich zusammenhängend serviert wurden. Der Geschmack war hervorragend und mein Steak war wie bestellt-medium on point! Ich kann dieses Steakhouse uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!!!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten das Rinderfilet mit Spinat und Gemüsebeilagen perfekt auf den Punkt und geschmacklich top. Vorab gab es richtig leckeres Brot. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich, dass der Chef persönlich an unseren Tisch kam, uns zur Herkunft des Fleisches informiert hat und sogar vakuumiertes Fleisch gezeigt hat alles aus Deutschland. Diese Transparenz und Leidenschaft merkt man einfach. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Ich komme aufjedenfall wieder. Es war sehr lecker, tolle Atmosphäre( trotz das es gut gefüllt war, war es nicht zu laut) Die Einrichtung ist super chick ❤️

Der gesamte Abend war dank hervorragendem Service und qualitativem Essen ein schönes Erlebnis. Ich kann mir nicht erklären wie ein Steak und das Filet überhaupt so hervorragend schmecken können. Die Beilagen, Kartoffelspalten/Bratkartoffeln und das Gemüse waren einfach nur perfekt. Das Fleisch wurde 1a medium rosa gebraten, wie gewünscht. Der Service ist angenehm freundlich, professionell und zuvorkommend - und vor allem nicht aufgesetzt, sondern authentisch. Vielen Dank für das Essen, was mir nicht mehr aus'm Kopf geht. 👌

Wow Bestes Steak was ich je gegessen habe

Wir waren jetzt schon öfter bei Ilvi und können es nur empfehlen hier zu speisen. Alle Gerichte waren on Point, wie bestellt. Der Koch und Inhaber ist sehr kundennah und herzlich. Man merkt dies. Geschmacklich einfach ein Traum!

Dieses Restaurant ist ein Traum! Die Location und Ambiente sind mega. Personal sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und fleißig. Der Chef steht selbst in der Küche und kommt zu den Kunden an den Tisch. Essen absolut lecker, ein Träumchen sag ich Euch. Fleisch zart, geschmacklich perfekt und ich bin süchtig nach der selbstgemachten Kräuterbutter. Gemüse, Karoffeln auf den Punkt.... Ich würde am liebsten jeden Tag dort essen wollen.... Ein absolutes Muss, wenn man in Herford essen gehen möchte. Ich freu mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch... Macht weiter so!!

Immer eine (An-) Reise wert. Das Pfeffersteak ist mein Favorit

Während eines Wochenendausflugs entdeckten wir dieses Restaurant eher zufällig und beschlossen, dort zu Abend zu essen. Schon beim Betreten wurden wir freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Besonders positiv fiel uns das Personal auf: äußerst höflich, zuvorkommend und hygienisch. Wir bekamen sogar eine kostenlose Vorspeise, ohne danach fragen zu müssen. Bei der Bestellung nahm sich das Personal viel Zeit, um mit uns mitzudenken, und kleine Änderungen an den Gerichten waren absolut kein Problem (zum Beispiel Zwiebeln statt Champignons). Die Steaks waren genau so gebraten, wie wir sie bestellt hatten, und schmeckten hervorragend. Die Fleischqualität war durchschnittlich, aber angesichts der Preise gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Später kam auch der Küchenchef an unseren Tisch. In gehobenen Restaurants ist das mehr oder weniger Standard, aber hier wirkte es wie eine wirklich nette und persönliche Geste. Man merkte, dass der Küchenchef seine Arbeit mit Leidenschaft ausübt, und das ist sehr wichtig. Insgesamt war es ein großartiges Abendessen, vor allem dank des hervorragenden Personals. Und da es sich um ein deutsches Restaurant handelt, darf natürlich der letzte Schluck nicht fehlen. Man hatte bereits bemerkt, dass wir gerne gut trinken, und überraschte uns mit einem Sliwowitz. Sagen wir einfach, der Abend war damit bestens ausbalanciert. Alles in allem: absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir wurden super empfangen. Der Service war sehr gut und die Kellner waren sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat auch keine Wünsche übrig gelassen. Alles in einem ein sehr gutes Steakhouse.

We had reserved a table for nine people and were really looking forward to the evening. Unfortunately, it turned out at the restaurant that our reservation simply hadn't been recorded. These things happen – but how it's handled makes all the difference. Instead of trying to find a solution, we were simply told that "nothing could be done." No alternative, no compensation. We were simply sent home – nine people, without dinner, and quite disappointed. It's a shame, because a little understanding or effort would have been enough. As it is, we're left with a very unprofessional impression.

Nach der Ausstellung kehrten wir für ein spätes Abendessen ein. Zum Glück hatten wir reserviert, denn das Restaurant war brechend voll. Wir bestellten Steaks, und ich entschied mich für ein medium-rare Steak mit Whiskey-Zwiebeln. Das Fleisch war hervorragend, die Zwiebeln hingegen etwas zu salzig. Die Atmosphäre war wunderbar, ruhig, und viele ältere Herren genossen das Essen und die angeregten Gespräche. Ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen; es ist jeden Euro wert.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit freundlichem Service und netter Atmosphäre. Das Steak und auch die Beilagen waren wirklich spitze. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart und sehr zart. Auch, dass der Koch sich persönlich bei den Gästen erkundigt hat, ob alles gut ist, war total sympathisch. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich. Zum Schluss gab es noch einen Schnapps aufs Haus. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, weil die Desserts "nur" okay waren und zum Teil auch wie fertig Produkte wirkten (wir hatten 3 verschiedene). Das könnte man noch etwas liebevoller gestalten. Außerdem ist das Essen unserer Ansicht nach einen kleinen Tucken zu teuer. Alles in allem aber sein sehr gutes Restaurant, in dem man sich wohl fühlt und einen tollen Abend verbringen kann. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

Eating with friends – that's the best way to describe it. Ilvi is a very good cook, but above all, he's a textbook host. You only do the best for your friends, and Ilvi does the same for his guests. From the wonderful family atmosphere and the wonderful ambiance to the comfortable chairs. Everything has been thought of. Only the best ingredients and the highest quality – everything fresh. No convenience foods, and you can taste it. The pepper steak was absolutely perfect! The combination of grilled vegetables and fried potatoes is my absolute favorite dish! The chef also personally checks with each guest to make sure everything is to their satisfaction. I've rarely experienced such hospitality. Thank you, and see you next time. Grade A

From the "greeting from the kitchen" to the dessert, from the service to the chef, from the ambiance to the... everything was just perfect. An exceptionally good restaurant.

Overall, it was good. I thought the starter and dessert were very good. The main course, in my opinion, left something to be desired in terms of both price-performance ratio and taste. (I had rump steak.) I've had better, but also somewhat worse.

Very friendly and competent service, excellent food, the meat was perfectly grilled, and changes to the side dishes were easily accommodated. When the owner learned it was my birthday, he offered me a surprise dessert on the house, along with good wishes.

We were there on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) and didn't know the restaurant. Since the reviews were very good, we gave it a try. What can I say... Let's not even start with the food. We received a very warm welcome. We were allowed to choose a table even though we didn't have a reservation. The location was incredibly beautiful and well-maintained, the restrooms very clean! The table decorations and the attention to detail were simply amazing! We were served a small welcome dish right from the start: homemade bread with homemade herb butter. I could have eaten my fill of it, it was so delicious. When the main course arrived, it exceeded my expectations. I had ordered a mix: rump steak, turkey steak, and chicken fillet. Every piece of meat was cooked to perfection; it was so tender and juicy. We were asked several times if everything was okay. The chef/chef even came to our table himself! Very accommodating and hospitable! We were very impressed and will definitely be back! Thank you for this wonderful and unforgettable evening!

Incredibly good! For our first time in Herford, we reserved in advance via email. Despite this, we were able to choose a table in the back of the restaurant. Everything was very tastefully decorated. The service staff was very attentive and super friendly. I ate a rump steak with cherry tomatoes, my wife the tagliatelle con spinaci, and a Cabernet Sauvignon with it. Everything was very beautiful to look at. It was prepared with a lot of love and the taste was simply sensational. Both the meat and the pasta were perfectly cooked and seasoned with their respective sauces. We could see it from our seats, but we also noticed from our plates that the chef himself was in the kitchen, putting all his passion into preparing the food. After dinner, he came to our table as a matter of course and had a quick chat with us. Fantastic. This evening was a truly wonderful experience for us all around. Once again, thank you very much for that.

A dream – the staff is super friendly, kind, and accommodating. The restaurant is lovingly decorated and perfectly matches the look! This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions because everything is just right here. It starts with the cozy interior, continues with the first-class and attentive service, and the food leaves nothing to be desired. The steaks are always delicious, tender as butter, and cooked to perfection; appetizers, sides, and desserts are prepared with fresh ingredients and create a first-class menu. My recommendation: rump steak with whiskey onions.

We received a very warm welcome and were looked after throughout our stay. Our dog was even offered a drink, which isn't always the case. The steak and side dishes were very good and extremely tasty. The decor is unique and cozy, yet not cramped. Attention to detail is emphasized here without being kitschy. The restrooms are very clean. We felt very comfortable and look forward to our next visit.

We visited the restaurant with five people. Given the excellent reviews, we naturally had high expectations. These were completely fulfilled. The service was excellent and friendly. The bread served with the meal was simply fantastic. The steaks were excellent, everything grilled to perfection. The desserts are divine.

Absolutely thrilled! The service is incredibly polite and friendly, you are immediately noticed as soon as you walk in. The ambience is really awesome. It is modern, cozy and classy. The tables are also arranged sensibly so that you don't sit too close or too far away from each other. And the food... WOW. I can't say more about it. And what's really rare is that the chef Ilvi personally comes from table to table and asks if everything is OK... Please, how great is that! We'll definitely come more often now 😍

We were here again and it was again very good. Rating remains exactly the same. :-) About a year ago: It was our first time here and we really liked it. The food was really good for each of us and all the employees were really friendly. Beef fillet, rib eye, fillet medallions, with delicious sauces and side dishes. Even our “half-vegetarian” liked the pasta and the dessert, pana cotta, was also very tasty. We would be happy to come back because we felt like guests who were welcome and for whom it was a pleasure to create a good meal and a nice evening. Clear recommendation.

An absolute top restaurant. Great atmosphere, fantastic, comfortable chairs and a very friendly welcome. Homemade bread and dips are great! The portions are really first class. There is no saving here. There were a lot of vegetables with the salmon, for example. The desserts are absolutely world class. We've never been able to enjoy something like this before. It's a shame we're just tourists, otherwise we'd be regulars here. The service is 5 stars+ from everyone. I have never experienced the friendly, relaxed and yet absolutely professional service from the young, very warm lady as well as from the junior boss and the boss himself. The bread with salsa and herb butter as a greeting from the kitchen is always a treat. Soups as well as Vitello Tonnato and Carpaccio di Manzo are always very tasty. The salad dressing is very tasty. The fillet steak is buttery soft and delicious, the medallions are simply wonderful. The service is great, always friendly, very warm and unobtrusive. Ilvi himself is a great cook and a great host. When most of the service is over, Ilvi comes to the tables himself to check whether everything was satisfactory. He is simply warm and authentic. Ilvi is simply great! We can recommend the Steakhouse at Ilvi to everyone as an excellent restaurant. For us the best address in Herford and the surrounding area.

We visited Ilvi for the first time yesterday. It was first class. The food, greetings from the kitchen, salad and pepper steak with Mediterranean vegetables and fried potatoes. The service employees do their job with passion and fun, the boss came to the table and spoke to the guests. A perfect restaurant visit. Thank you for letting us experience this, we'll be back soon.

Probably the best Steak dinner ive had in my life. Great service and a very nice locale. Very comfortable chairs and great staff. The Chef came out and had a nice chat with us. We were 8 people that came without reservation, no problem, we were seated immidiately and treated very well.

For the second time in a short time we were able to spend an absolutely perfect evening here. The service is incredibly attentive and friendly, approachable and super accommodating at any time. Even when we were sitting outside a few weeks ago and it was very full inside, we never had to wait and always felt like we were being looked after! The steak is definitely the best around here. It's always perfectly grilled to order and simply delicious! The starters and desserts were all very tasty and prepared with attention to detail. The absolute highlight was the new dessert creation with pistachios based on Dubai chocolate... Incredibly delicious and a real eye-catcher :) The restaurant is also super child-friendly, has a small play area and leaves nothing to be desired for the little guests:) our daughter was also treated very appreciatively and lovingly by everyone, she felt very welcome! We would love to come back and recommend you wholeheartedly!

Our evening here started chaotically. Thanks to the fair, which we knew nothing about (we're not locals), it was an adventurous search for a parking space. When we finally arrived, unfortunately our reserved table was not available. After initial disappointment on our part and the promise of finding a solution in a short time, a table was brought out of storage and set up especially for us. Less than 10 minutes of waiting later, we sat at our table and looked at the menu. Despite the steakhouse, I ordered a salad with turkey strips, and for my companion there was a grill plate and a rump steak. All three of us were not only full, but also very enthusiastic. The quality of the food was very good, the meat was on point, the fruit and salad were fresh and the desserts were great overall. Everyone was very friendly and personable, the service was perfect. In addition to numerous apologies for the start of the evening, the boss of the house didn't let us go home without a special treat at his expense. Finally, I have to say that I have never had a better salad anywhere! And I think that in a steakhouse is terrific and significant. All dishes are prepared with dedication and attention to detail. We can only recommend everyone to visit the Steakhouse by Ilvy and will definitely come back ourselves. When we receive the mail from the Herford public order office in 2 to 3 weeks (unfortunately we didn't see the sign for residents), we will remember a perfect evening and remember to use a different parking space on our next visit. A good steak 🥩 is always worth a trip (Westphalian proverb). So we set off from Bielefeld and left happy, full and satisfied. The beef fillet was of the best quality and perfectly cooked to your liking. The side dishes and salad were perfect, the portions were manageable and the service was particularly friendly. So it wasn't just the steak that was worth the trip, but everything surrounding it as well. Thank you! #wewillbebacksoon

On our wedding day we chose to celebrate this special occasion at Steakhouse by Ilvi and it was the best choice we could have made. The staff made sure the evening was unforgettable. Ilvi himself is a remarkable host. After eating, he always takes the time to check in with his guests and ask about their satisfaction. We really appreciate this personal touch and it contributes significantly to the family and warm atmosphere of the restaurant. We can recommend Steakhouse by Ilvi to anyone who wants to enjoy first-class steaks and excellent service in a cozy atmosphere. For us it is a permanent institution that we always enjoy visiting.

We are not from the area and were there for dinner. Our expectation was not to eat a perfect steak. You have simply been disappointed too often. When we were served the food, we could hardly believe it. Our rump steaks were absolutely amazing! The meat was so tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly! Maybe you could even have eaten it without teeth! 😁 Everything was great, but the meat was particularly special. Nowadays, you no longer get an unsolicited greeting from the kitchen. Last but not least, the boss personally came to each table and asked whether it was tasty and had a chat. Just nice! We'll definitely come back if we're in the area again.
