The service was very poor. We had to ask three times if we could finally order something. The schnitzel was very thin and completely dry. The rest was oversalted. When the waiter asked if everything was okay while clearing the table, I pointed out the dry schnitzel, but there was no apology. Even worse: as we were leaving, one of the waiters pointed at me as if he were telling his colleague, "She just complained." We will never visit the place again. It's a shame that you can't expect service or courtesy for these prices. You'll be treated nicer at a chip shop.

It was my first time at the Steakhaus am Piepersloh. It didn't look great from the outside, but the food was good, with a decent portion size. The restaurant is nicely decorated, clean, and the service was good too. Everything was really great. The real shocker came on the bill. I had changed the side dish for my meal, which was no problem. However, the bill not only charged me the full price for the main course, but also a "kitchen" fee or something similar. There was no explanation or notice beforehand. So what did I pay extra? 🤓 Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until later, but then I felt pretty stupid for having left a tip. What a shame. I don't think I would go back. Things like that should be communicated.

We passed the steakhouse on our way home and spontaneously decided to eat there. We were greeted very warmly without a reservation. Everything was perfect, from the service to the food and the atmosphere. That's how it should be everywhere; you'll be happy to come back.

The service was okay, but the food was awful. After I had to return my non-alcoholic wheat beer because it was much too warm, I was looking forward to the meal. It looked good, but unfortunately, my veal steak, despite asking the waitress if I wanted it medium-rare, which I confirmed, was so thoroughly cooked and accordingly dry that it couldn't be any more. The waitress promptly took the entire plate away from me and said she'd get a replacement. Since I only wanted the steak replaced, I thought it would be quick, especially since my husband had already had his meal. But it took a whopping 30 minutes for a replacement to arrive. Finally, the chef actually managed to cook this steak to death, too. There was no service for quite some time after that. When we went to pay, we weren't charged for my meal, even though I only had three croquettes. They even offered an apology, but unfortunately, that didn't really help. A restaurant that calls itself a steakhouse should be able to cook a steak medium-rare, at least on the second attempt. By the way, my husband enjoyed his veal schnitzel, even though he had to eat it alone. You can clearly see that in the photos.

We went there with our family on Saturday. The restaurant was busy; we had reserved a table. The menu offered a good selection. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Some orders came with a salad from the salad bar. You can sit outside or inside. The staff were all friendly. The prices are reasonable. During our visit, there was a family celebration with lots of children at the next table, which was quite loud. But that's just how kids are :-)

Very tasty, and for a steakhouse, they even have a relatively solid selection of vegetarian dishes. We'll be back!

Everything was excellent, the food was perfect, and the service was too. It's only natural that you'll have to wait a bit with so many customers, so you should plan for it and not complain right away.

Everything was perfect on the second visit, too. The staff's friendliness, hygiene, salad buffet, and main course were all first-class. I'll go into more detail about the main course, which I also recommend here. The Piepersloh mixed plate is for good eaters; it's filling. Crispy fries are accompanied by two cevapcici, pljeskavica, pork chop, pork skewer, lean bacon, djuvec rice, and a salad from the buffet. The Piepersloh steakhouse is a definite recommendation, as is the mixed plate ;-)

We ate there several times during a training course. Quality, service, and value for money are all perfectly balanced here!

UPDATE FROM 2023: After two years, I gave the steakhouse another chance. Once again, I was immensely disappointed. We waited forever for the food, which ended up being wrong and cold. The service was completely overwhelmed. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink. This was definitely my last visit to the Piepersloh Steakhouse. Reasonable and constructive criticism doesn't seem to be taken seriously. What a shame. ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2021: Since the steakhouse's lawyer asked me to make my original 3-star review more credible with more detailed information, here's an update: I was a guest in March 2017, June 2020, and November 2021. Unfortunately, none of the visits convinced me. I felt unfriendly and had to wait a very long time for the food all three times, only to be served lukewarm food. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, none of the waiters wore face masks during any of my visits, and the windows were completely closed, making adequate ventilation impossible. It was very stuffy. Therefore, I unfortunately cannot recommend the steakhouse, especially considering the value for money. Even taking legal action against bad reviews directly doesn't convince me. The owner could have responded to the review beforehand and shown cooperation in clarifying the situation. ...

Disappointed! Two schnitzels were cut from one. You could tell by the shape. It was immediately noticeable. At €18.90 for that with a measly portion of fries and grilled vegetables, I don't think the price is justified! At the Golf Club, I pay €16.90 for a wiener (veal), and that's a huge pile of rubbish compared to what we got today. That's the next place I won't be going back to. I deliberately didn't tip. The cappuccino was a bit overpriced at €3.80. The price of the milk has actually gone down. But the cappuccino is still getting more expensive. Sorry, please! It had to be said.

Contrary to many positive reviews, I found the food in Madagascar to be mediocre. The pre-made sauce and tough meat weren't a highlight for me. Overall, there are far too many dishes on the menu, which means the quality suffers. If you want to eat your fill for a reasonable price, this might be the place for you. The location and service are fine. It won't be my regular haunt.

The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, ideal for a relaxed evening for two or with friends. The staff was attentive and warm without being intrusive. A small downer: The waiting time between the starter and the main course was a bit long, but that's understandable given a full house. The prices are also in the upper range - but reasonable considering the quality. Conclusion: An all-round successful experience with a little room for improvement – ​​we would be happy to come back!

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Now to the most important part: the food. We chose the American Mix and the Argentina Platter – and what can I say? It was by far the best meal I've had in a long time. What was particularly impressive to me was that I normally have problems with meat consumption, but here I was finally able to enjoy it without hesitation. This speaks for the excellent quality and preparation of the food. I can really recommend this restaurant to everyone! Anyone who values ​​excellent food, great service and a cozy atmosphere will definitely get their money's worth here. A visit is definitely worth it!

Four of us were there on a Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The drinks and food came quickly. Service is exemplary and quick. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Fries weren't ok for me. Unfortunately, the salad buffet was already quite empty, but I have to be fair and say that the steakhouse was full except for the last seat. Things like that just happen. Overall 5 stars because everything was right and the evening was good. I'll be back.

Overall the food was okay. However, the Jägerschnitzel was extremely thin - the breading was more appealing than the meat itself. Maybe some guests prefer it that way, but to me it feels more like a "fake schnitzel" when it has hardly any substance. In terms of taste, the hunter's sauce was quite good with a solid 8/10, but the schnitzel itself unfortunately seemed a bit dry due to its lack of thickness. My friend had a cordon bleu, which I also tried. Here too an 8/10 - of course thicker than the schnitzel due to the filling, but still slightly dry. Nevertheless, I will give the restaurant a second chance and try more dishes. In terms of price, it's in the middle: we paid 48 euros for two main courses and two beers. My Jägerschnitzel with croquettes and salad was just under 20 euros. For this price you can get much thicker and juicier schnitzel elsewhere. Nevertheless, I give it 4 stars – the taste was okay and the atmosphere was very cozy.

The food was delicious, but there was one point of criticism - the service. We went there for dinner today (without a reservation). We were told we were welcome to come in and eat. At the table, after ordering the drinks (we had already received them), we were asked what we wanted to eat and it was mentioned for the first time that we should hurry up, as the table was reserved for 6 p.m. (we had about 4 p.m.: 40 p.m.). During the meal we were often given the feeling that we should hurry up and leave quickly. At 5:45 p.m. we were finally 'kicked out' (even though my wife had just had her second drink) with the words that the table had to be prepared now. If we had known from the start that we would have to eat for a while, we might not have gone in at all. It was all about cashing in quickly - what a shame!

As always, it tasted good. This time my steak came about 10 minutes later than the others, but because of the good service I didn't even think about it. My side dish was brought to me again so that I could eat with it. Another drink and herb butter were given and at the end something sweet came from the kitchen. And all because my steak came a little late. I really liked that. The waiters really take good care of the customers! Thanks for that :)

So the goose breast plate cost almost €40. It was absolutely too expensive for what was on the plate. Baked apple is a measly slice, bread dumplings are so tiny you can hardly see them on the plate. All in all, tasty, but too expensive.
