Stadtwaldhaus in Krefeld

We were at the crime dinner on November 10, 2024. The service was great, the employees were very helpful since we had a person in a wheelchair with us. The food was of poor quality. Unfortunately, the crime dinner didn't get any better from the actors. Far too long-winded, so that some guests were about to fall asleep. Not recommended.

We were able to celebrate our wedding here. Top ambience, top service and the food a 10 out of 10. Mr. Lang gave us very good advice in advance and accompanied us through many processes. On the wedding day itself we were extremely well looked after by the service headed by Ms. Hoffmann. The wedding was much better than we had previously imagined. As a bride and groom, we really felt like kings and queens. I have rarely encountered such excellent service and an almost friendly closeness to those responsible. The kitchen has delivered one masterpiece after another and we are still hearing great things from friends and family more than a week later. Stadtwaldhaus you are unique, stay that way and stay with us, we always enjoy coming to this house knowing that we won't miss anything. I recommend that every wedding couple have a personal conversation here, as we were also very positively surprised in terms of price.

As the stars reveal, White sausages almost cold, grillage cake not good, way too sweet and I doubt whether the cream is actually real cream. Toilets are really an imposition. BUT the young people who clear tables, sell food etc. are very accommodating.

The location is beautiful, the service is great, the menu is boring. In a beer garden I expect a corresponding menu with, for example, snack plates, cheese and other little things. Who wants a mediocre currywurst for around €10.80? The toilets are an imposition.

Käsespätzle was actually Schupfnudeln. But completely salty. Too bad

Beautifully located large beer garden with a self-service area and one with service and menu. In the beer garden you can find beer, soft drinks, small snacks and popsicles. There is a small playground for the little ones, but the newly built playground in the city forest is not far away and has become very nice. You can also go boating in summer. The park is a beautiful English landscape park and is great for a stroll in hot weather. The beer garden with city forest is highly recommended for a short excursion!

A beer garden in the forest and a great building as a restaurant. The beer garden consists of self-service operations and an area where service is provided. A great concept for every budget or depending on your thirst and appetite. In my opinion one of the most beautiful beer gardens in North Rhine-Westphalia, if not Germany. I found it really great. Highly recommended.

First visit and very disappointing. Staff gets drunk and ignores guests who want to order something. There were 4 of us there and we tapped the waiters on the shoulder and were ignored. Worst visit ever, we won't be back.

Very nice atmosphere and big „Biergarten“ - beer garden - with nice choice of food and drinks. All the food was good and prices seemed more or less reasonable! Staff was also friendly!

Everything was as discussed for us, the service employees were all very attentive, customer-oriented and implemented even short-term changes immediately. Great service, great food - thank you! The service was simply great. Very friendly, attentive young people. They do a good job and what they have to carry and walk is really great.

We had our graduation party here and sat outside when a waiter came? Manager? In any case, an employee came and shouted at us that "the evening is over for us and we have no business being outside". The other employees at the buffet and bar were absolutely nice, only this one gentleman completely ruined our evening. This could definitely have been solved without a conflict by simply pointing out the error in a nice way, instead of immediately becoming aggressive and yelling at us. In my opinion, this approach and attitude is not possible at all, especially because you have paid a lot to celebrate here and a high school graduation celebration only takes place once in a lifetime. Since we never really got an apology, I can only recommend other high school graduates to celebrate somewhere else.

Very nice beer garden with delicious food at decent prices. Everyone can find something on the menu and yet it's so compact that everything is fresh. The service in the serving area sometimes takes a moment, but everything comes to the table quickly.

By far the most beautiful location in Krefeld when the weather is nice

We celebrated a graduation party in the Stadtwaldhaus. The staff was very friendly and the food was satisfactory. Over time it became very warm with 300-400 people, so some visitors and guests decided to change their long trousers into shorts. The owner (Mr. Lang) then decided to reprimand everyone in the room who, in his opinion, “were not dressed appropriately for the occasion”. Not only was that in itself a bottomless impudence in my opinion, but there was also the tone in which the gentleman spoke to us. When I answered for my partner, “yes, we can,” he just looked at me and said, “I’m talking to you.” not". Not only is this an impossible colloquialism, but it is also incredibly hard to deal with at an actually happy celebration. The affected people (all male) were not allowed to change inside and were instead asked to do so in the toilets outside. I wouldn't recommend any school to go here, although the service and ceremonies are great, there is hardly any possibility of finding a reasonable solution to problems such as moved files. After some time and discussion, 3 people who were mistakenly not on the list were allowed in, but with the words "no one will come in here after that, I don't care whether you get the original list or not".

Wonderful Place in the middle of a wood. In front there's a really beautiful lake with boats renting. Really good dishes, a lot of tables, quick service, nice attendants and really good typical dishes

There isn't a nicer beer garden anywhere. Sitting in the evening in the setting sun, drinking a beer and eating a delicious bite to eat cannot be beat in Krefeld. We were there with the children now. They were able to spend time on the playground and we had a nice meal and a drink with our friends. Thank you for the wonderful summer evening. Thank you Mr. L. for not being discouraged.

Lovely beer garden. We were lucky with the weather, so the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The food was of a good standard for a beer garden. Service quick, to the point. Portions are very generous!!! Family friendly, dog friendly. Great way to spend afternoon!

Haben heute an der Brezelbude Weißwurst gehabt. Die ersten waren braun angetrocknet. Widerwillig habe ich ein Paar neue bekommen. Bei diesen ließ sich die Pelle nicht abziehen. Der Geschmack war nicht vorhanden. Ungenießbar. Und dafür wollten die 6,50€ haben. Nie wieder.

It's simply impossible to imagine Krefeld without it. Contact point and end point of many, many bike tours. Thanks to the always friendly staff, "on behalf of Mr. L." on the way. The beer garden is great! The food and drinks were good.

I have not eaten anything. Just a wheat from the bottle. Self-service and deposit for the glass. 5.50 euros. Too expensive for self-service. A bottle of beer for 5.50!!! Despite inflation, that is too much. It was Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Great weather, hardly anything going on. Also the food, too expensive. For self-service. What it costs in the service department. No idea. There are places in Germany where it is cheaper. Even in big cities. Franconia, for example.

You can only get a seat in the service area if you also order food. In the self-service area (beer benches) you have to pay at a cash register before collection. You then have to use vouchers to pay for various expenses for cold drinks, warm drinks and food. For example, there is no espresso or cappuccino. Last but not least, I ate the worst Obatzda here for €8.50. The other dishes were also anything but good. Mr. L's shop is very far from what is supposed to be the best beer garden🙈

Every year for Father's Day and for the past 10 years we go there by bike and enjoy the facility.

What can I say other than: The most beautiful beer garden far and wide! I've also been to wedding parties (including my own), members' meetings and a graduation ball. Always a celebration that is optimally tailored to the event.

We were in the beer garden on a public holiday. Despite what felt like 100 percent capacity, everything was excellently organized. We got our drinks relatively quickly and the four of us found a place.

The ambience and the location itself are really nice, with a view of the water. The monopoly position is also priceless. We were served very quickly, but I've never had to pour myself a wheat beer for €5.50 before...

Enjoying coffee, ice cream and cake in the bright sunshine is quite something. The scaffolding for the restoration doesn't bother us at all.

Visited during a work trip and what an amazing place. Both the building and location are amazing and we were lucky to visit during a warm April evening. Set beside the lake there are some lovely views, walks and picture taking opportunities. Parking was easy even though it was busy and booking was not required. The food was amazing. Schnitzel with mushroom sauce followed by chocolate cake and ice cream. Staff although very busy were very attentive and we were served promptly. Lovely place and would highly recommend.

It is not without reason that it is one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Germany. It's nice to sit here and look out into the countryside or the impressive city forest house. You can either get beer and pretzels at the self-service counter, or choose from a hearty menu in the service area.

There is something for everyone, small children have enough space to play and run around. The mostly young staff are very friendly. You often also have the opportunity to watch a live performance through the existing stage

I would really like to report positively about the food and drink, but unfortunately we weren't served. The lady was more busy planning her evening and then served 2 tables that were occupied 10 minutes after us. Well, we left without ordering. A pity.

Great location, nice service, you can sit outside and enjoy the sun. The only thing that didn't convince me 100 percent was the menu, so I would have liked a little more beer garden delicacies, like Obazda, Leberkäse or something like that... Just something simpler...

Central place for a walk through the Krefeld city forest. Then take a break outside if the weather is good.

Great buffet, was ordered for a company version

Simply the best, most authentic beer garden in the entire area and one of the largest. You almost always meet people you know, there's really something going on in the summer. The pretzels are very good. What's great is that there are light and dark wheat, Berliner Weisse is also good, Bolten Alt is also fine, although there are better ones, e.g. Schumacher, Gleumes, and much more. , but it's a matter of taste. But I find it unfortunate to offer Pils Veltins, there are so many better ones, and there's also no good Bavarian light beer on tap! And Pils from local breweries. E.g. Schlüffken, Geilingsbräu, (I would like to include Königshofer, but I don't particularly like it.) Alternatively, Borbecker, Stauder, Fiege, would also be great.

An excursion restaurant located at the city forest in Krefeld. The restaurant is a bit old. It is beautifully located and the outdoor dining area is right on the lake. A boat rental is nearby. Hiking trails through the city forest are very beautiful. There is a musical shell in the garden. There is also a playground nearby. Tennis courts and the horse racing track are also nearby.

The Stadtwaldhaus in Krefeld is an excellent restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The tastefully designed rooms offer a pleasant atmosphere for moments of enjoyment. The diverse menu impresses with culinary sophistication and fresh ingredients. The attentive staff ensures first-class service. A recommended address for discerning palates and cozy evenings.

My own birthday party was a blast. Everything just fit and thanks to Mr. Lang and his team everyone felt comfortable. Thank you very much again, also for the support in advance
