As Americans visiting Germany for the first time, I'm sure we were awkward. Bit the staff was gracious, the food excellent, and definitely somewhere we will visit again if in the area.

As always!!!! Super friendly service and delicious tapas. Simply fantastic! For us, the best tapas in Cologne. The top quality is consistent every time we visit. All tapas are served piping hot and unbeatable in taste. The prices are also more than reasonable for what's on offer. Great location any time of year. In summer on the terrace and in winter in the tastefully decorated interior. This restaurant is highly recommended. The steaks are also first-class.

Unfortunately the restaurant or rather the terrace is right on the street which makes it rather noisy. The service was too hectic for me; the girl had to take deep breaths so often while rattling off the specialities (food). The order is written on a piece of paper like in a tapas bar, but unfortunately you do have to be patient for drinks and food here. I even had to ask for the bill twice because I was forgotten. There is definitely room for improvement. What is really weak is that you don't even get some bread with aioli beforehand; you have to order that here. I don't know that from other Spanish restaurants in Cologne; there it's a given. As it should be in an authentic Spanish restaurant.

The food is delicious and the bread with aioli is unbeatable, but the best thing of all is the sangria. It's worth coming just for that. I highly recommend it.

Four of us ate there. For starters, we had some bread and olives, a bit small for four people. Tables of two people got the same. The food was okay, although some tapas were only lukewarm. We then ordered extra bread for our meal, and this was charged an extra €5.20. So, when four guests spend a total of €140, a bread basket like that can be on the house. This small amount alone struck us as a negative. Take Italy, Spain, and France as an example, where such things are usually free, along with drinking water. We've been there once now; we probably won't go twice, and we weren't really full either.

Very attentive staff & fast service! Great food!

We stopped by yesterday on a whim, and even though many tables were already reserved, we managed to get a spot in the shade. We received a friendly welcome and were allowed to choose a table. The staff was super attentive, served drinks really quickly, and the food was also super delicious. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed the food! The prices were a bit higher, but still okay. What bothered us: Firstly, you're sitting almost directly on the street. However, they made the most of the location. Unfortunately, the service was rather unfriendly, unattentive, and everything took a long time. Bottom line: great food, not so much service.

Very tasty tapas. Three or four (depending on which one you choose) are enough to fill you up. Perhaps they should at least expand the dessert menu to include ice cream, to provide a cooling alternative in the summer. And the ambiance could also be improved a bit. But the food was truly delicious, and gluten-free options are also available, which is certainly a plus for many. I would come again

In itself a highly recommended shop. Parking is a little difficult but all the plates are empty at the end! Highly recommended are the sweet potato fries, the regular fries and the champions with spinach. Particularly noteworthy is the beer-coated fish. That's it, but one thing remains: Is this stone really supposed to be decorative?

Bedienung sehr nett Tapas waren lauwarm übersichtlich zu teuer, Spinat Tapas mit Käse überbacken dort befand sich ein Pinienkern und ein Teelöffel Käse und Spinat bedeckte gerade den Boden vom Tonpfänchen.Blumenkohl im Tampurateig sehr roh alles in allem für die Qualität zu teuer. Champignons waren lauwarm. Ich als Spanier kann diesen Laden nicht empfehlen. Früher war er super jetzt nicht mehr. Schade

Delicious tapas! Recommended! We were able to make a direct comparison with our Madrid trip and I have to say the Stadtwald Garden can definitely keep up. If I have anything to complain about, it would only be the calamari, but that's complaining on a high level, we could have been a bit crispier. Otherwise great! Aioli is super delicious! Sangria very tasty! Price-performance ratio fits. You can sit outside. But also very comfortable inside. Very nice, quick service! We'll be back.

Simple, good value tapas on the edge of Köln, lovely helpful staff, good drinks. Parking not easy, come by taxi or tram!

I went to the restaurant with some good friends and my husband, I thought the theme of several small dishes and being able to share among everyone was super fun. The truth is that all the dishes were delicious, I loved the sangria, I had the red wine one and the white wine one to obviously try them all, however they were very sweet for me since I suffer from diabetes and my companions also thought it was very very sweet, outside of that very rich. I look forward to going again

Best tapas in Cologne! Definitely a recommendation with lots of delicious and fairly priced tapas. I think it's great that the menu contains references to vegan and gluten-free products. There is also a weekly changing special menu.

Great tapas, 2 steaks in 200g and 300g, lots of salads to choose from. There is no other food here. The drinks menu is generous. The ambience is inviting, the climate is a bit warmer with a high number of visitors.

We celebrated our wedding in the Stadtwaldgarten and we and our guests were thrilled. We had imagined a nice evening with delicious food, fresh Kölsch and a relaxed atmosphere. Mr. Lier advised us beforehand and implemented all of our wishes. For dinner, we decided on the tapas variations due to the fact that some of our guests were vegetarian and vegan. There was something for everyone, including meat eaters. The service was excellent, so we didn't have to worry about anything and could devote ourselves to our guests. Thank you again, it was an unforgettable evening!

It was really outstanding! Our table was in a quiet corner, it wasn't too cold and not too warm. The employees were all very accommodating and I can only describe our service as excellent. Unfortunately we don't know your name, but thank you here :) The food was also perfect. The steaks were on point and the tapas were all very well prepared. A visit here is definitely worth it!

Service super nett , kann aber die unterdurchschnittlichenTapas nicht retten. Rote Beete Carpaccio hat den Gegenwert von 20 Cent. Insgesamt stimmt Preis/Leistung leider nicht.

Das Essen war von den Gambas, über den Salat, Dips bis zum Steak absolut hervorragend. Alles war heiß 🔥, angemessene Portionsgrößen und kulinarisch ein Feuerwerk. Wir kommen wieder hierher und freuen und jetzt schon darauf. Schade dass wir satt sind. Über allem aber steht der Service der uns jederzeit aufmerksam und schnell bedient hat und ein aufrichtiges Lächeln präsentierte womit wir uns als Gäste herzlich willkommen fühlten. Beste Tapas in Köln. Haben Sorten die es nicht überall gibt. Super lecker...

Freundlicher Service, netter Empfang. Die Lage direkt an einer viel befahrenen Kreuzung macht den Aufenthalt draußen nicht zum perfekten Erlebnis. Leider sind die Tapas wirklich nur durchschnittlich. Nichts besonderes und nicht immer perfekt zubereitet. Dafür sind 55 Euro grenzwertig.

Gemütliches Ambiente, sehr nette Bedienung und leckeres spanisches Essen.

Das Steak ist IMMER auf den Punkt gegrillt. Für Vegetarier gut geeignet, da viele Gemüse-Tapas, sowohl kalt als auch warm, Salat mit Schafskäse, sehr leckeres, warmes Brot zum Aioli und immer netter Service.

Eine gelungene Auswahl an Tapas in lockerer Atmosphäre Den Stadtwaldgarten habe ich bereits mehrfach spontan mit Bekannten und KollegInnen besucht. Die Auswahl der Gerichte ist prima und bei den Tapas findet sich für jeden Gaumen etwas. Der Service war bei meinen bisherigen Besuchen immer freundlich und aufmerksam, das Konzept wird ausführlich erklärt und auch der ein oder andere Sonderwunsch war bislang kein Problem. Die zentrale Lage ist Fluch und Segen zugleich: auf der Terrasse ist der Straßenlärm schon recht nervig, aber das Restaurant ist kaum zu übersehen und eigentlich immer gut besucht. Größere Gruppen sollten unbedingt reservieren, dann ist auch ein guter Tisch kein Problem.
