It was all a bit strange. Being told where to sit just to free up a table for other guests? Absolutely unacceptable. The food tasted like it did for today's youth. Too loud and the service was rude. A complete mismatch.

From the moment we arrived until the end of a perfect breakfast with friends, everything was just right. A wide variety of food and drinks was available. The hummus sandwich was beautifully presented, the homemade lemonade was delicious, and the service was very friendly and helpful with any special requests. We would love to come back again.

Three of us spontaneously stopped by for brunch on a Sunday morning and didn't order (this time), but we were still offered a table in the covered outdoor area 😁 The service, the food, the ambiance: everything was perfect! Overall, we've never been disappointed by the food and drinks here; the food is always delicious and freshly prepared, as are the aperitifs. The pricing is debatable; it's difficult to leave the restaurant for less than €50 per person!

I haven't eaten this well in a long time! I ordered an appetizer (tacos). My main course was the avocado noodles. I highly recommend both; they were so incredibly delicious. As a trained chef, I'm often critical, but I couldn't find anything wrong with Stadtliebe. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!!!!! Thanks to the entire team! Keep up the great work!!!

Very disappointed today - unfortunately, I no longer recommend it! Today, as I often do after my haircut, I went to Stadtliebe in Dietzenbach, traveling all the way from Wiesbaden because I always loved the food there. The beef fillet and goat cheese salad were always a highlight for me. Today, however, I was deeply disappointed. The beef fillet smelled spoiled and had a very unpleasant taste. I had to spit out the first bite immediately and felt nauseous for hours afterward. My friend, who also tried the meat, shared the same opinion. I also noticed that the usual side dishes for the fillet (parsnips and beets) were completely missing. The goat cheese salad was also significantly smaller today than usual. Either the menu had changed or the chef had changed – in any case, the quality has dropped significantly, which I find very unfortunate. When I politely informed the waiter, the plate was taken away, but after a few minutes, the only response was that "everything was fine" – no apology, no understanding. Instead, we were portrayed as oversensitive or untrustworthy. Even a small compensation like dessert or coffee to make up for it wasn't offered. I must also mention that the waiters don't seem particularly child-friendly. Anyone arriving with a stroller is more likely to receive annoyed looks than a warm welcome. I enjoyed eating there for years, but after this experience, we unfortunately won't be returning in the future.

The food is simply unbeatable in terms of taste: perfectly balanced, full of refinement, and with a love of detail that you can taste in every bite. The service is warm, attentive, and ensures that you feel completely at home. The location is also a dream – everything is color-coordinated and designed with so much love that you immediately feel how much heart and soul went into it. I've never felt as welcome and comfortable in a restaurant as I did here. Despite the many wonderful details, the food remains the real star – and that's exactly what makes Stadt Liebe unique. A place that more than deserves its name and that you simply have to recommend! ❤️

The food was very good, and the service at our table was friendly. Unfortunately, we were asked to leave anyway because our baby was crying and three neighboring tables were complaining. We understood that this might be disruptive for other guests, but we would have appreciated more consideration and respect from the restaurant management. It's a shame, because otherwise we would have recommended the restaurant.

If you're child-unfriendly, this is the right place for you. After a long time, I finally dared to go out to eat with my baby – the food was delicious as far as we could taste. However, we were politely asked to leave the restaurant because my baby was crying and customers were complaining. So we left the food and drinks, paid for everything, and left. This kind of thing not only hurts, it increases the fear of going out again. Other solutions could have been found: quieter spaces, free drinks, small gestures of support. But they opted for the more family-unfriendly approach. We were all babies once, and mothers need courage to leave the house – and this is precisely the courage that was punished here. If children really bother you that much, you should go to a restaurant where children are expressly not allowed. In many countries, I experienced the opposite: understanding, support, and assistance. I won't be visiting this restaurant again. The term "child hatred" rather than "city love" is probably more appropriate here.

Today I witnessed a young woman with a small baby being thrown out of the store because the baby was crying. And this happened while the woman was still eating. It was truly inhumane behavior on the part of those who secretly and fearfully complained to the waitress about this mother, but also a complete lack of character on the part of the owners to have complied with her request. I hope the mother doesn't have to go through such experiences again.

I was there with friends and family; service is a top priority here. We were immediately offered a highchair and received a friendly welcome. The service, attentiveness, food, and drinks were all delicious and highly recommended – homemade blueberry peach lemonade, Bali tacos as an appetizer, and macadamia pasta as a main course – highly recommended. The food was good and the waitress friendly, but despite having ordered, we were practically asked to leave because our 8-month-old baby was crying. The fact that three guests complained was more important than treating us respectfully as a family. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing and unfriendly experience for us. Not a family-friendly restaurant.

I've eaten at Stadtliebe several times and noticed that foreign guests often receive smaller portions than German guests, even when sitting together at the table. Several friends have experienced this as well. This seems unfair and disappointing, especially since I've lived here for many years and have always enjoyed visiting the place. For this reason, I will no longer eat here and can no longer recommend the place. Equal treatment for all guests should be a given. 😉

We felt at home from the very first moment. The service staff is professional, very friendly, courteous, and absolutely attentive. And the food was a dream: modern, varied, high-quality, beautifully presented, incredibly delicious, and all at absolutely fair prices. There's something for everyone. There are meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. Luckily, we had reserved a table online in advance, as the restaurant was very busy. We would definitely love to come back...

The food was not only extremely delicious, but also a wonderful change from what you're used to—a successful combination of creativity and quality. Every bite was a delight and left us wanting more. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and warm, making the entire visit a thoroughly pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

The quality of the food was very poor

Unfortunately, we weren't that satisfied. The food was considerably less than excellent. The starter was good. The main course was unfortunately lukewarm. The mashed potatoes were sticky. And the fillet tips were more like goulash. On the plus side, the service was friendly.

The location itself is very chic, but the noise level is a disaster when the place is full. The service is relatively snippy, if not almost rude. Furthermore, the service is very inflexible. You'd expect creativity from a "trendy spot." I asked for a non-alcoholic aperitif and was told I should have a soda. We've been back several times since then and have absolutely no complaints. The service is now excellent (despite the constant staff), and there has never been anything to complain about regarding the quality of the food and drinks. The only flaw remains the noise level, but that's a matter of taste. Sometimes you're just having a bad day...We now go to Stadtliebe regularly. The place has continued to develop, and with Jess on duty, there's really nothing to complain about. They're extremely committed to ensuring every guest has a wonderful evening...even food intolerances are no problem. Jess knows every dish, including all its intricacies and allergens, and always has a fitting saying. Simply charming and a place where you feel at home.

Great restaurant! Tucked away among small shops, right by the town fountain. There's plenty of seating outside, as well as cozy corners inside. The place is very modern, with pampas grass and interesting ceiling lights creating a hip ambiance. They serve great breakfast dishes. The eggs Benedict were delicious. The sandwich with feta cream was also very impressive. There's a very large selection of drinks. You'll also find something for lunch and dinner here. Delicious smells occasionally wafted up to our table. The staff are friendly and attentive. Overall, the price-performance ratio is very fair! We'd be happy to come back :)

Update July 3, 2025 I recently had breakfast here again and opted for Eggs Benedict. I had the version with hummus and bacon. It was really delicious and plenty for me. I can recommend it. 😉 ‐-------------- Very nice restaurant, centrally located in the city, with lovely outdoor seating. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, or a delicious dinner here. Very friendly staff. Reservations are recommended.

We had a pleasure to enjoy the delicious brunch in Stadtliebe bar. The place looks very stylish and had sitting area outside. We have ordered vegan brunch and egg Benedict (Benny). Everything was delicious. It was worth it to wait almost 30 min for ours food.

€23.90 for a meager, dry schnitzel that wasn't even a child's portion size. Who's supposed to get enough to eat that? It was also poorly seasoned, ridiculous. I'd rather go to Schnitzelhaus. That was my last visit to that restaurant.

Really just way too loud. You don't understand your own words, which is unfortunately hard to bear. The toilets really aren't clean either. The service was very nice and friendly and the food was also good. However, due to the incredibly loud atmosphere, we wouldn't come back.

A really lovely place with an excellent menu and great service. Unfortunately it is incredibly loud and therefore very uncomfortable and something urgently needs to be done about the acoustic situation with appropriate room dividers and sound absorbers. During busy times you leave the restaurant with your head pounding and have to shout at each other at the table.

A beautifully decorated café/restaurant. Great cozy facility. There was a lot going on during our visit and as a result it was a bit stuffy. The taste of the Kaiserschmarrn was a sensation. The ice cream that was served with it was also delicious. The portion is generous and enough for two people. The staff was very, very friendly and personable! Overall, a well-rounded and successful visit and definitely worth recommending!

Beautifully located in a small square in the old town of Dietzenbach. We went there for breakfast, and I was completely satisfied. The variety of options is well-balanced, and there's something for everyone. It wasn't a problem that we had a dog with us.

Absolute recommendation! Great facility, friendly staff throughout. We had the tuna tartare as a starter and the salmon with wild garlic potato cream and beetroot as our main course. As a drink, the Pomegranate Mojito. Everything from the weekly menu. Everything tasted great and was beautifully prepared - there was really nothing to complain about here. Can you rate love of the city as a bad thing? I haven't eaten anything here that wasn't absolutely delicious. The dishes are totally varied, no run-of-the-mill things and yet the quality standard is A1. The drinks are also very tasty, there are just so many homemade ones. The service has always been very friendly, quick and helpful. The prices are perfectly fine.. I actually have nothing to complain about and actually there is always something that I don't like :) super delicious with you, please keep it that way!! Addendum: Even after years, still great food, great service and completely satisfied.

Very very tasty. Price/performance is absolutely right. In addition to a few Hessian delicacies such as pimped hand cheese as a tartare with a fine apple balsamic dressing, crispy mini croutons, there are also exceptional dishes in a nutshell. House chicks, perfectly cooked Chinese Char Siu style. Great. Very friendly, humorous and attentive service. However, the background noise with a full house is a bit high. Unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures. I'll catch up on that.

As always, we love coming and our four-legged friend also always loves the city. There he is fed plenty of fresh water 😊 As you can see in the pictures, the dishes are always prepared with high quality food. I give 3 stars because my wife's food was good. My meal (onion roast) was very bad (spätzle lukewarm, onion sauce lukewarm and on top the piece of beef was carelessly slapped on top). Neither pleasing to the eye nor to the palate. Everything tasted like it had been warmed up several times, and the meat wasn't juicy either. It's a shame - but the service was very friendly, at least a little.

I can only recommend the food, according to my taste. The service is very courteous and extremely friendly. Unfortunately it is very loud and you can hardly hear the neighbors at the table.

We “just” wanted to have a coffee and were therefore taken to the bar. Our expected turnover was too low for a table, because they are (quote) “kept free for those who also eat something”. The space at the bar was really not nice, people kept putting the menu cards next to us, reaching over us to get napkins or putting cloth napkins next to us. When I was told that it should be cleaned up because it was simply unpleasant with the chaos, the response was very annoyed. It's a shame when you're treated like a second-class guest.
