The service was friendly and in a good mood - we left a tip despite the food. 3 of us had burgers - which were unfortunately cold - not bad in taste, but just cold. The wedges, on the other hand, were very hot - but also tasted good. The house-made lemonades were delicious. Our neighboring table - must have been a large group before - was just dirty and the chairs were all over the place. This was not cleared or cleaned in the 1 1/2 hours. It wasn't a pretty sight I would say: it was OK, but I don't have to go there again.

Yesterday I was there with a rehab colleague to have something cool to drink. Service was great and it was comfortable to sit there. There are plenty of places inside and outside and you can eat everything from cakes to burgers and tarte flambées. Easily accessible for wheelchair users. Prices are reasonable for today's times. I can't say anything about the food yet as we only went for a drink But I can only recommend it

This was my second visit to you and I was completely happy again! You greet your guests very friendly, have a great atmosphere, the service leaves nothing unfulfilled and the food is beautifully prepared and is highly recommended. I would also describe your restaurant as very child-friendly because the dark-haired lady with the glasses was so nice to my girls and treated them as little guests with their own menu and even asked them what they would like to order. I thought it was great! You're great - keep it up!

Food was ok, but the service left a lot to be desired. We were eating there with a group, at the beginning we asked for drinks, then the food was served and after that we didn't think it was necessary to ask if any more drinks were needed. The place wasn't crowded either. Unfortunately, toilets were very unclean with overfilled trash cans

We were there with a group. Super friendly welcome, quick service regarding the first drink and food. Unfortunately, we hardly had a chance to eat and order more drinks afterwards. Later we were noticed again. A pity. The food was really good and tasty.

The burgers and fries were very tasty, and even though there were 11 of us there, all the food arrived almost at the same time, fresh and hot. The supply of drinks and demand for further requests were not so good, things were very slow. Maybe there weren't enough staff?

Danger!!! Don't go in there!!!!! They wanted to charge me twice because apparently it didn't work the first time!!! This was probably an act of revenge from the waitress, who served us something we didn't order and wanted us to pay for it at the end! Outrageous!!! And the bartender knew and just grinned. This is probably normal procedure in this store.

A relaxed, cozy atmosphere paired with very tasty, expressive food. The homemade limmos and cocktails rounded off the whole experience. Definitely not the last visit here.

Everything was great until the bill came and the waitress told us we had ordered wrong, instead of directly saying that her new colleague probably didn't know something. Completely unnecessary to approach the guest directly because of 1€ instead of admitting the mistake. And then you forgot something on the bill... She then gave us the forgotten drink, which she preferred rather than admitting her mistake. To each their own, but that is not my understanding of customer-friendly.

Service bei komplett leerem Lokal katastrophal. Bestellung durften wir nach knapp 20 Minuten aufgeben, 20 Minuten später kamen die Getränke und nochmal 20 Minuten später das Essen. Nach dem Essen wollten wir eigentlich noch Nachtisch und nochmal Getränke bestellen aber alle Handzeichen und das Ansprechen der Servicekräfte wurde fleißig ignoriert. Rechnung bekamen wir dann aber direkt und zwar ziemlich pampig. Hier gehen wir nicht nochmal hin! Essen war aber gut, einziger Grund warum es 2 Sterne geworden sind!

The waitress was passive aggressive and didn't want to serve even when asked. In total we waited 45 minutes and then left.

We waited for half an hour at a table that hadn't been cleared, neither were the dirty dishes cleared away by the guests in front of them, nor were we served. When we asked, they just passively aggressively said it would take a moment, which then took another 15 minutes. (not many guests and a lot of staff) Then we left! Impudence!

Unfortunately, both the service and the food were absolutely poor. The heating didn't work and a schnitzel was served that was partly undercooked. When this was criticized, the food that was already on the table (and had already been eaten from the plate) was taken back into the kitchen. There the cut schnitzel, which was already served to the guest, was fried again (the Stadtglück is apparently not aware of hygiene regulations). When asked whether the meal would be charged for, there was only a curt answer about the condition. Apparently no one feels responsible when guests are served raw meat. And if the condition then gossips about the guests, you probably shouldn't do it obviously behind the counter ;) If you like to eat badly and enjoy bad service, then "Stadtglück" is the right place for you. We were rather unlucky in the city!

Very friendly and courteous service; She even provided us with a heater to keep us warm. The decor is pleasing to the eye and the food (Italian burger) was delicious. The burger bun could have been baked a little more. The fries were served stylishly in a small "chip basket".

A bit cold there, but that's the landlord's fault. Otherwise always helpful staff. Food was ok, but unfortunately the fries were already cold. But I couldn't get the service to notice me and time was too short. So I ate some of them cold. But I would definitely try it a second time.

Not recommended with a larger group (more than 4 people). Waited a long time for the food and then a meal was missing. Only after repeated inquiries was there a response. Rating for the city restaurant “Statt Glück” in Bad Oeynhausen: I have now had the pleasure of visiting the city restaurant “Statt Glück” for the fourth time and I can say with complete conviction that it is one of my absolute favorites. In my average week, where I eat out about 2-3 times, this place has taken a standout spot. The atmosphere is cozy, the crowd is pleasantly mixed and it is definitely a place where young and old alike feel at home. Here you can unwind and unwind. The service and service are excellent - attentive, friendly and always trying to ensure guests have a good time. I was particularly impressed by the visual preparation of the dishes. The menu offers a diverse selection that is sure to suit every taste, including several vegan options. From the shepherd's cheese as a starter to the classic burger or tempting dessert - everything is at the highest level. Even my son (see photos) said today... Dad, the burgers taste better than at McDonald’s :-) I dare say it's hard to find anything to complain about here. Of course there is always someone who will find something to complain about, but I hope my review underlines how exceptional “Instead of Happiness” is and what contribution it makes to the revitalization of our city. The hygiene in the restaurant is exemplary. From the shiny sinks and faucets to the spotlessly clean toilet rooms, everything is in pristine condition. The store demonstrates a thoroughly successful organization and is obviously run with great attention to detail. Kudos to the owners for this gem 💎 in Bad Oeynhausen. “Instead of Glück” is a place that I can warmly recommend and that enriches our city. Es wirkt so als hätte jemand ohne große Erfahrung oder Ausbildung entschieden Gastronom zu werden. Das Essen ist qualitativ (Warenqualität und Zubereitung) eher minderwertig. Im Service waren alle sehr bemüht, wenn auch etwas unorganisiert. Ein Essen kam garnicht. Das wurde auch so hingenommen. Daher sehr schmeichelnde 3 Sterne.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten, welches sehr lecker war. Das Restaurant ist auch für Veganer geeignet. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hell und ansprechend.

Es ist bestimmt ein sehr guter Ort um sich gemütlich hinzusetzen und was zu trinken. Vom Essen waren wir enttäuscht, Die Karte ist zwar gut aber es ist kein Top Koch angestellt. Das Schnitzel wurde falsch geliefert, was passieren kann. Aber in weniger als 2 Minuten gab es ein Neues. Den Rest kann man sich denken.

Einfach nur wow! Ich bin verliebt in die Atmosphäre, die Chefin ist eine super tolle, liebe Frau die zwischenmenschlich wirklich weiß, was sie da tut. Die Preise sind 100% fair und nicht überteuert. Jeder der dort einmal war, wird gerne immer wieder kommen!

Der Service war sehr freundlich, der Flammkuchen war fast kalt, als er serviert wurde, geschmacklich okay, aber ich habe definitiv schon besser gegessen.

Sehr nette Bedienung und super Service!! Haben nur was getrunken, aber ich werde zum Essen wiederkommen! Eine vielfältige Karte-gefällt mir! Schöne, gemütliche Atmosphäre und Einrichtung! Mit Herz wird bedient.

Wir waren mehr als begeistert. Wir haben direkt eineb Tisch bekommen, kurz danach wurde die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen und als diese dann kamen, haben wir das Essen bestellt. Das kam dann auch nach ca.15 Minuten. Mega lecker und wir waren auch mehr als satt. Danach haben wir noch ein Schoko Souffle oder wir es heißt und eine Waffel mit Bananen bestellt. Auch das war köstlich. Also ich empfehle dieses Lokal wirklich. Es ist mega lecker, Preis Leistung passt auch und wir kommen wieder. Besonders nett war die sympathische dunkelblonde Kellnerin mit Brille. War uns wirklich eine Freude.

Die Arbeitsmoral der Servicekräfte ist SEHR träge. Jeder 3. Tisch frei und wir durften nach 20 min. Getränke bestellen. Auch auf das Essen haben wir gefühlt eine Ewigkeit gewartet. Der Koch ist allerdings spitze! Das Essen war wirklich lecker, aber der Service versaut einfach alles. Auch auf die Rechnung mussten wir wieder 20 min. warten. Stattdessen wurden lieber Gläser poliert und die Theke aufgeräumt. Wie kann man so arbeiten? Echt schade. Der Laden hat eigentlich Potenzial!
